Abstract

Quoted from various sources, in general the performance of teachers in Indonesia is still not good, as indicated by the quality of Indonesian education based on Pisa and the results of World Bank research on education in Indonesia. So this research aims to analyze the factors that influence teacher performance by asking two research questions. The first question is how the influence of organizational culture and servant leadership of madrasah heads on teacher performance partially and simultaneously. the madrasa. The second question is which variable has the most dominant influence on teacher performance. This research uses quantitative research, with a sample of 35 people selected based on the senseu method, because the population is relatively small. The data analysis technique uses multiple linear regression analysis and the f test and t test to determine the effect partially or simultaneously. The research results show that partially and simultaneously organizational culture and servant leadership have a positive and significant influence. The variable that is more dominant in teacher performance in this research is servant leadership

This study used purposive sampling, where the sample of this study consisted of principals, vice-principals of the curriculum section, and teachers at SDI Kreatif MAS. Researchers used data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study are the implementation of the Cambridge curriculum at SDI Kreatif MAS is said to be feasible and becomes one of the role models in the surrounding area as a school that implements an international curriculum. In stages, the Cambridge curriculum consists of three stages, namely 1) Planning, 2) Implementation, and 3) Evaluation. The advantages of the Cambridge curriculum are that students' thinking styles are much higher than students who only study the national curriculum, while the weakness is that there are still many who do not understand the sentence structure of each English-based reading due to the lack of application of English communication in the student's family environment.

Abstract

The role of the Kyai in maintaining the stability and character of santri (Islamic boarding school students) is a fundamental responsibility that cannot be replaced. The dynamic interplay of cultural diversity and varying social conditions must be carefully considered in managing pesantren, especially amidst the widespread issue of radicalism. This study aims to analyze how the Kyai's leadership model, grounded in local wisdom, functions as a strategy to prevent radicalism within pesantren environments, and how this model can contribute to the development of relevant and high-quality education in the Global South. It also explores the challenges faced by Kyai leadership when rooted in local cultural values. This research employs a qualitative method with a case study approach. The primary sources of data include Kyai, pesantren administrators, and santri, collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis follows Yin's case study framework, involving pattern matching, explanation building, time-series analysis, and repeated observation. Data validity is ensured through triangulation of methods, sources, and theoretical perspectives. The findings reveal that the Kyai’s leadership model based on the prophetic (Nubuwwah) approach, integrated with the pesantren’s local wisdom namely the Panca Jiwa (five foundational values) and the four spiritual pillars serves as a key ideological defense mechanism against the spread of radicalism in the pesantren. Future research is recommended to expand this model across various pesantren and to apply methodological innovations that test the effectiveness of this integrated prophetic-local leadership approach in responding to global challenges.

Abstract

The phenomenon of distance learning patterns during the pandemic has become an extraordinary leap and has significantly impacted the massive use of the internet in society. The digital era is an era where many human life activities are carried out online by minimizing social interaction, such as school with online learning, working in the office to working from home, organizational meetings via online meeting platforms such as Zoom and Google Meet, health consultations answered directly by doctors, as well as other activities that were rarely carried out before Covid-19. This research aims to determine children's learning patterns and behavior in the metaverse era. Meanwhile, the research method used is quantitative, with several approaches such as correlation between variables and the close relationship between one variable and another. The three groups of respondents in the study were early adults (>20 years), early adolescents (15-20) years and children (10-15 years). The research results show that at the age of children, smartphone use and online activities are only limited to playing games and social media. Meanwhile, in their early teens, some are even starting to learn game-making through online platforms such as Roblox Studio. In early adulthood, which is the age of college education, smartphone use is not just about social media or online shopping; some even have digital wallets and crypto wallets, invest in cryptocurrency, and even actively use the creator's platform games and NFTs with payments via cryptocurrencies such as Ethereum, polygon, etc.

Abstract

The increasing use of generative AI tools in education highlights the need to understand how they can be effectively integrated into university-level teaching and learning. Although these tools offer great promise, the absence of a transparent and ethical framework for their implementation poses real challenges in aligning them with curriculum goals. AI technologies, such as ChatGPT, have already begun to reshape the way students learn, particularly in higher education settings. This research examines how students utilize ChatGPT for academic purposes, including studying, research, and learning activities. Using a quantitative approach, the study identifies usage trends and finds that students generally feel confident using ChatGPT, with many reporting improved engagement and productivity. The lack of regulated ethical standards for ChatGPT use and lecturer interventions prohibiting irresponsible use also impact the widespread use of ChatGPT in higher education settings. This study used quantitative data analysis involving 415 students from four universities: KH Abdul Chalim University, Brawijaya University, Sriwijaya University, and Gadjah Mada University. This research examines the benefits, challenges, and ethical considerations of utilising AI-based software in academic settings, particularly in higher education.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the acceleration of the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project (P5) through the implementation of the Tri-Dimensional Harmony model (Theo-Synergy, Socio-Nationalist, and Managerial-Harmonious). The research method used is descriptive qualitative with a case study approach. Data were collected through participant observation, in-depth interviews with the facilitator team, and documentation of the project modules. The results showed that the Tri-Dimensional Harmony model successfully integrated Islamic spiritual values with Pancasila character systematically through three strategic steps: redesigning modules based on the integration of Kauniyah verses, forming a collaborative interdisciplinary facilitator team, and implementing Civic-Religious Engagement as a form of concrete community action. These findings proved that harmonization of managerial aspects and religious substance can increase the effectiveness of achieving student profile dimensions without obscuring the institutional identity. The implications of this study emphasized the importance of contextual curriculum orchestration for Islamic-based schools to accelerate the achievement of the Independent Curriculum targets. This model can be a managerial reference for similar educational institutions in managing character projects that were holistic, measurable, and have a wide impact.

Abstract

This research examines the process of internalising multicultural values in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning at Saraswati Elementary School in Tabanan, Bali. Using a qualitative approach with observation, interview, and documentation methods, this study aims to analyse the implementation and impact of multicultural education in an elementary school that has students with diverse backgrounds. The results show that SD Saraswati Tabanan has successfully implemented a holistic approach in internalising multicultural values, not only through formal learning in the classroom, but also through various extracurricular activities and school programs. Various learning methods, including traditional and contemporary approaches, have proven effective in instilling multicultural values. School activities such as orphan benefits and fundraising for victims of natural disasters provide a practical platform for students to apply the values of tolerance, empathy and co-operation. The results can be seen in changes in students' attitudes and behaviour, which show a high level of tolerance and mutual understanding in daily interactions. Although there are still challenges, especially in providing facilities for non-Muslim students, the experience of SD Saraswati Tabanan can be a valuable model for other schools in Indonesia in developing effective multicultural education.
