Abstract

Background: Heartbeat playing the main roles in our life. With the heartbeat, the anxiety level can be known. Most of the heartbeat is used in the exercise. Heart rate measurement is unique and uncontrollable by any human being.Objective: This research aims to learn student’s actions by monitoring the heart rate. In this paper, we are measuring the student reaction and action in classroom can give impact on teacher’s way of delivery when in the teaching session. In monitoring, student’s behavior may give feedback whether the teaching session have positive or negative outcome.Methods: The method we use is K-Means algorithm. Firstly, we need to know the student’s normal heartbeat as benchmark. We used Hexiware for collecting data from students’ hear beat. We perform the classification where K is benchmark students’ heartbeat. K-Means algorithm performs classification of the heart rate measurement of students.Results: We did the testing for five students in different subjects. It shows that all students have anxiety during the testing and presentation. Its consistency because we tested 5 students with mixes activities in the classroom, where the student has quiz, presentation and only teaching.Conclusion: Heart rate during studying in the classroom can change the education world in improving the efficiency of knowledge transfer between student and teacher. This research may act as basic way in monitoring student behavior in the classroom. We have tested for 5 students. Three students have their anxiety in classroom during the exam, presentation, and question. Two students have normal rate during the seminar and lecturer. The drawback, Hexiware is capturing average of ten minutes and tested in different classes and students. In future, we need just measure one student for all the subjects and Hexiware need to configure in one minute.

Abstract

Background: Maintaining student motivation, involvement and consistency in a learning process is a challenge that must be faced by teachers / educators. Especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, this limits learning activities in online form. Teachers / educators need additional skills to be able to manage classes, deliver material and maintain student motivation. Objective: This community service aims to improve the skills of teachers / educators to provide interactive learning and evaluation media based on game learning. Methods: The methods used in this community service activity were training and focus group discussions. Furthermore, the participants prepared the Kahoot quiz material independently according to the subjects they were teaching them. Result: The result of this training activity is an increase in the skills of teachers / educators in mastering Kahoot, and an increase in teacher / educator understanding of the Kahoot material. This can be seen from the occasional increase of 15.97% after the training was completed. The training participants were satisfied with the implementation of the training as evidenced by filling out the feedback questionnaire, with a satisfaction score above 3.5 out of 4. Conclusion: This community service has a positive impact on skills and understanding related to the use of Kahoot for interactive learning and evaluation media.

Abstract

AbstractThe seawater fishery in Dusun Sine has the higher potentials, due to its location near the coastal area of Sine Beach. In general, the people in Dusun Sine make a living as sea fishermen. However, the income of the marine fishing community has not maximized because the community still uses the conventional marine product processing production system, so that the marketing of processed marine fish products is also limited. As an effort to increase the selling value of processed marine fish, the International Community Service Group empowers fishermen's wives in Sine Hamlet by conducting several activity programs in the form of socializing the manufacture of modern marine processed products in the form of Sine Foodies, home industry food (PIRT), and the use of e-commerce. This activity was held to use a health protocol and through a presentation method on product marketing licensing in the form of PIRT socialization and marketing of processed marine fish products with e-commerce as well as demonstrations on the process of making processed marine fish products in the form of shredded fish and fish balls using attractive packaging. Participants in the socialization were fishermen's wives, village cadres, and prospective entrepreneurs from Kalibatur Village.Keywords: Assistance, processed marine fish products, Processing, Licensing management, MarketingAbstrakSektor perikanan air laut yang ada di Dusun Sine, Desa Kalibatur, Kecamatan Kalidawir, Kabupaten Tulungagung, memiliki potensi yang sangat tinggi. Hal ini disebabkan letaknya yang berada di dekat wilayah pesisir Pantai Sine. Secara umum, masyarakat di Dusun Sine bermata pencaharian sebagai nelayan laut. Namun, pendapatan masyarakat nelayan laut belum maksimal karena masyarakat masih menggunakan sistem produksi pengolahan hasil laut secara konvensional, sehingga pemasaran produk hasil olahan ikan laut juga terbatas dengan seadanya. Sebagai upaya untuk meningkatkan nilai jual hasil olahan ikan laut, Tim Pengabdian masyarakat Departemen Kimia, Fakultas Sains dan Teknologi, Universitas Airlangga dengan didukung penuh oleh Kelompok mahasiswa KKN Internasional, FST, UNAIR melakukan upaya pemberdayaan para istri nelayan di Dusun Sine dengan melakukan beberapa program kegiatan berupa sosialisasi pembuatan hasil olahan laut secara modern berupa Sine Foodies, pangan industri rumah tangga (PIRT), serta penggunaan e-commerce. Kegiatan ini diselenggarakan menggunakan protokol kesehatan dan melalui metode presentasi mengenai perijinan pemasaran produk berupa sosialisasi PIRT dan pemasaran produk hasil olahan ikan laut dengan e-commerceserta demonstrasi mengenai proses pembuatan produk hasil olahan ikan laut yang berupa abon ikan dan bakso ikan dengan menggunakan kemasan yang menarik. Peserta sosialisasi adalah para istri nelayan, kader desa, dan calon pengusaha yang berasal dari Dusun Sine, Desa Kalibatur. Kata Kunci: Pendampingan, Produksi makanan olahan hasil laut, Pengurusan perijinan, Pemasaran

Abstract

Al-Qur’an merupakan kitab suci umat islam dimana sekitar seperdelapannya merupakan ayat-ayat yang mengisyaratkan tentang dasar-dasar ilmu pengetahuan (sains). Meskipun ayat-ayat al-Qur’an telah terklasifikasikan menurut temanya, namun diperlukan waktu untuk mencari kembali ayat-ayat sesuai dengan tema sains pada permasalahan tertentu. Untuk memudahkan pencarian tersebut dapat digunakan Question Answering System (QAS), sehingga didapatkan jawaban yang relevan dengan pertanyaan. Metode yang digunakan dalam QAS terdiri dari tiga tahap, yaitu question analysis, passage retrieval, dan answer extraction. Tahap question analysis dilakukan untuk melakukan analisis pertanyaan. Tahap passage retrieval dilakukan untuk mengambil dokumen-dokumen ayat terjemahan menggunakan TF-IDF dan cosine similarity. Sedangkan tahap answer extraction dilakukan untuk ekstraksi hasil jawaban dengan menggunakan metode word-match dan rule-based. Data yang digunakan untuk ujicoba sebanyak 387 ayat yang terbagi dalam 10 sub-tema.  Berdasarkan hasil evaluasi, sistem menunjukkan hasil kinerja yang baik. Hal ini terlihat hasil evaluasi sistem dengan menggunakan 20 pertanyaan didapatkan hasil precision, recall dan f-measures berturut-turut sebesar 0.75, 0.72 dan 0.74.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi informasi yang begitu cepat membuat website atau platform penyedia blog semakin banyak ditemukan, terutama website rumahginjal.id. Website Rumah Ginjal memberikan informasi berupa buku, artikel ilmiah, tulisan singkat seputar ginjal, yang dapat diakses secara online melalui website blog rumahginjal.id. Strategi pengoptimalan situs web saat ini sedang gencar dilakukan oleh pengelola website untuk memperoleh peringkat setinggi-tingginya dalam mesin pencari, salah satunya Search Engine Optimization (SEO). Website rumahginjal.id dipilih sebagai studi kasus penelitian karena tingkat trafik kunjungan web tersebut sedang mengalami penurunan per tahun 2020-2021, sehingga perlu dilakukan metode optimasi website yaitu SEO. SEO On Page mampu mengoptimalisasikan konten website secara baik dengan menggunakan teori SEO Friendly Content. Dalam mengoptimalisasikan konten, tools Google Trends dan Google Keyword Planner digunakan untuk riset kata kunci, kemudian dalam melakukan pengukuran trafik menggunakan tools Google Analytics dan Google Search Console. Hasil penerapan SEO On Page pada website blog rumahginjal.id dinilai mampu meningkatkan trafik situs secara organik sebesar 635% pageviews, 379% unique pageviews, 600% clicks, 315% impressions, dan 102% organic search yang diukur selama 4 bulan.

Abstract

Diabetic Retinopathy (DR) is a complication of diabetes mellitus, which attacks the eyes and often leads to blindness. The number of DR patients is significantly increasing because some people with diabetes are not aware that they have been affected by complications due to chronic diabetes. Some patients complain that the diagnostic process takes a long time and is expensive. So, it is necessary to do early detection automatically using Computer-Aided Diagnosis (CAD). The DR classification process based on these several classes has several steps: preprocessing and classification. Preprocessing consists of resizing and augmenting data, while in the classification process, CSVM method is used. The CSVM method is a combination of CNN and SVM methods so that the feature extraction and classification processes become a single unit. In the CSVM process, the first stage is extracting convolutional features using the existing architecture on CNN. CSVM could overcome the shortcomings of CNN in terms of training time. CSVM succeeded in accelerating the learning process and did not reduce the accuracy of CNN's results in 2 class, 3 class, and 5 class experiments. The best result achieved was at 2 class classification using CSVM with data augmentation which had an accuracy of 98.76% with a time of 8 seconds. On the contrary, CNN with data augmentation only obtained an accuracy of 86.15% with a time of 810 minutes 14 seconds. It can be concluded that CSVM was faster than CNN, and the accuracy obtained was also better to classify DR.

Abstract

Background: The proliferation of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools such as ChatGPT is growing at a rapid pace, sparing no sector. One of the AI tools that has grown in it use across the sectors is the use of ChatGPT, a tool that mimics human like capabilities of producing ideas. However, there have been many concerns about how ChatGPT will change the higher education institutions. More worrisome is how it poses risks that compromise the integrity of academic outputs if left unregulated Objective: This study examines the influence of ChatGPT on students’ assessment practices in the higher educational sector Methods: The study carried out a systematic literature review by gathering data from peer reviewed academic papers.  Initially, 140 research papers were identified. Thereafter, these papers went through further filtering, and 35 usable papers were selected and included in the study Results: This study highlighted the importance of using AI tools such as ChatGPT in the higher education sector, underscoring its advantages and the threats that it poses to the sector if the use remains unregulated. The study has recommended institutional policies about the use of AI tools that must be put in place to guide academic staff, researchers and learners in the responsible use of ChatGPT for academic work. Conclusion: “While the widespread adoption of ChatGPT is undeniable, there is an urgent need for a well-balanced regulation regarding its use within Higher Education Institutions (HEIs). Thus, future research should focus on examining the existing policies and practices related to ChatGPT ethics, privacy, and security in education and identify gaps and areas for improvement.  Keywords: ChatGPT, Artificial Intelligence, Chatbot, OpenAI, Higher Education

Abstract

The International Community Services program (ICS) at Universitas Airlangga, part of the Tri Dharma of the university focusing on community service, aims to enhance human resource capacities within communities. In 2024, the program targeted Senden Village, Kampak sub-District, Trenggalek District, East Java, Indonesia, to assist its MSMEs in overcoming packaging challenges that hinder market interest. Collaborating with domestic and international universities, including Universitas Mayjen Sungkono, SMBBMU University Larkana Pakistan, UiTM Negeri Sembilan Malaysia, UM Malaysia, and Meijo University Japan, the program provided intensive training on innovative and functional packaging techniques. This program was chosen and considered urgent because processed food products produced by local MSMEs are still sold in bulk and packaged haphazardly. Therefore, a touch of hygienic and "eye-catching" packaging technology is needed. Attractive and hygienic packaging technology is expected to increase the selling power of these processed food products. The training included theoretical sessions, focus group discussion (FGD) demonstrations, and the introduction of plastic vacuum sealers to improve product packaging and branding. Food packaging workshop held on July 15, 2024, where participants engaged in hands-on training, group discussions, and label design, resulting in tangible improvements in product marketability. The initiative of this activity is not only to increase the visibility and attractiveness of Senden Village products but also to introduce the natural exotism of the village and local products to the national and international community, encouraging cultural and knowledge exchange. The collaboration of this program strengthens international collaboration and provides invaluable experience for students and lecturers. The successful implementation of this program confirms Airlangga University's commitment to community service and its goal of creating a sustainable positive impact on the village community, which ultimately contributes to the development of better human resources. The training has been carried out very well and each training participant has their own brand with an attractive logo and is hygienically packaged with vacuum technology. All training participants were satisfied with this activity as well as head of village, head of PKK, and all the team involved. They hope that next year's activities can be carried out with other innovations for the progress of Senden village.

Abstract

Fluktuasi harga yang terlalu tinggi pada komoditas pangan strategis seperti telur dan daging ayam telah menjadi permasalahan krusial, diantaranya disebabkan oleh harga pakan dan tingkat konsumsi masyarakat. Hal ini berdampak pada turunnya daya beli dan kesulitan akses pangan terutama bagi rumah tangga berpendapatan rendah yang mengandalkan kedua komoditas ini sebagai sumber protein utama. Oleh sebab itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh harga jagung sebagai bahan baku pakan ternak dan jumlah penduduk sebagai gambaran tingkat konsumsi masyarakat terhadap harga telur ayam dan harga daging ayam pada 38 Kabupaten/Kota di Jawa Timur tahun 2023 dengan menggunakan data sekunder yang diperoleh melalui aplikasi SISKAPERBAPO dan Badan Pusat Statistik Provinsi Jawa Timur. Metode yang digunakan adalah regresi semiparametrik birespon linear lokal. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa model prediksi memiliki tingkat akurasi sangat tinggi, dengan nilai MAPE sebesar 1,103% untuk harga telur ayam dan 4,474% untuk harga daging ayam. Penelitian ini penting karena dapat menjadi dasar pengambilan kebijakan dalam upaya stabilisasi harga oleh pemerintah daerah maupun pelaku industri perunggasan di Jawa Timur.

Abstract

Pada awal tahun 2024, X menduduki peringkat keenam sebagai media sosial yang paling banyak digunakan di Indonesia. Jumlah pengguna yang terus meningkat ini dapat menimbulkan masalah seperti meningkatnya jumlah akun pengguna palsu pada media sosial X. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi pola pada akun palsu serta pengembangan model klasifikasi deteksi akun palsu pada media sosial X. Tahapan pada penelitian ini meliputi proses pengumpulan data, data preprocessing, seleksi fitur, proses klasterisasi, tahap klasifikasi hingga evaluasi model. Dengan dataset sejumlah 8291 baris, nilai K optimal untuk proses clustering yakni K=4. Dari proses analisis klaster, cluster 1 menunjukkan kelompok akun dengan karakteristik akun palsu. Hal ini ditandai dengan usia akun yang tergolong masih muda hingga baru, sebanyak 99% akun masih menggunakan profil default, serta jumlah following yang jauh lebih banyak dari jumlah followers. Pengembangan model klasifikasi akan menggunakan dataset yang telah diberikan label setelah proses clustering. Cluster 1 akan dilabeli sebagai akun palsu serta cluster 0, 2 dan 3 diberi label sebagai akun asli. Dengan menggunakan tiga jenis algoritma yakni Random Forest, AdaBoost dan KNN serta empat skema pembagian dataset diperoleh recall, F1-Score dan akurasi tertinggi pada model Random Forest dengan persentase berturut-turut 99,35%, 98,71% dan 98,55%.
