Abstract

Synthesis of Na-X zeolite was conducted from kaolin and metakaolin. Synthesis varied in its pretreatment method and hydrothermal conditions. The pretreatment methods used were: conventional alkaline, alkaline fusion and conventional fluoride. Hydrothermal conditions for the experiments were gradual temperature 40 oC  (6h), 60 oC (6h), 80 oC (12h), and constant temperature 80 oC for 24 h, 100 oC for 24 and 100 oC for 48 h. Synthesized products were characterized by X-Ray Diffraction (XRD), Fourier Transform InfraRed (FTIR), Scanning Electron Microscopy-Energy Dispersive X-Ray (SEM-EDX), and N2 Isotherm Adsorption/Desorption method. The result showed that pre-treatment by conventional fluoride could not produce Na-X zeolite, synthesis by conventional alkaline and alkaline fusion with hydrothermal at 100 oC (48h), 100 oC (24 h), and gradual temperature produce Na-X zeolite with Na-P1 or Na-A zeolite as impurities, while synthesis from metakaolin by conventional alkaline with hydrothermal at 80 oC for 24 hours produced pure Na-X zeolite. Na-X zeolite and NaP1 zeolite with hierarchical pores were synthesized through alkali fusion with hydrothermal at 100 oC for 24 hours.

Abstract

AbstractThe seawater fishery in Dusun Sine has the higher potentials, due to its location near the coastal area of Sine Beach. In general, the people in Dusun Sine make a living as sea fishermen. However, the income of the marine fishing community has not maximized because the community still uses the conventional marine product processing production system, so that the marketing of processed marine fish products is also limited. As an effort to increase the selling value of processed marine fish, the International Community Service Group empowers fishermen's wives in Sine Hamlet by conducting several activity programs in the form of socializing the manufacture of modern marine processed products in the form of Sine Foodies, home industry food (PIRT), and the use of e-commerce. This activity was held to use a health protocol and through a presentation method on product marketing licensing in the form of PIRT socialization and marketing of processed marine fish products with e-commerce as well as demonstrations on the process of making processed marine fish products in the form of shredded fish and fish balls using attractive packaging. Participants in the socialization were fishermen's wives, village cadres, and prospective entrepreneurs from Kalibatur Village.Keywords: Assistance, processed marine fish products, Processing, Licensing management, MarketingAbstrakSektor perikanan air laut yang ada di Dusun Sine, Desa Kalibatur, Kecamatan Kalidawir, Kabupaten Tulungagung, memiliki potensi yang sangat tinggi. Hal ini disebabkan letaknya yang berada di dekat wilayah pesisir Pantai Sine. Secara umum, masyarakat di Dusun Sine bermata pencaharian sebagai nelayan laut. Namun, pendapatan masyarakat nelayan laut belum maksimal karena masyarakat masih menggunakan sistem produksi pengolahan hasil laut secara konvensional, sehingga pemasaran produk hasil olahan ikan laut juga terbatas dengan seadanya. Sebagai upaya untuk meningkatkan nilai jual hasil olahan ikan laut, Tim Pengabdian masyarakat Departemen Kimia, Fakultas Sains dan Teknologi, Universitas Airlangga dengan didukung penuh oleh Kelompok mahasiswa KKN Internasional, FST, UNAIR melakukan upaya pemberdayaan para istri nelayan di Dusun Sine dengan melakukan beberapa program kegiatan berupa sosialisasi pembuatan hasil olahan laut secara modern berupa Sine Foodies, pangan industri rumah tangga (PIRT), serta penggunaan e-commerce. Kegiatan ini diselenggarakan menggunakan protokol kesehatan dan melalui metode presentasi mengenai perijinan pemasaran produk berupa sosialisasi PIRT dan pemasaran produk hasil olahan ikan laut dengan e-commerceserta demonstrasi mengenai proses pembuatan produk hasil olahan ikan laut yang berupa abon ikan dan bakso ikan dengan menggunakan kemasan yang menarik. Peserta sosialisasi adalah para istri nelayan, kader desa, dan calon pengusaha yang berasal dari Dusun Sine, Desa Kalibatur. Kata Kunci: Pendampingan, Produksi makanan olahan hasil laut, Pengurusan perijinan, Pemasaran

Abstract

Synthesis of Fe3O4/SiO2 modified with N-(2-aminoethyl)-3-aminopropyl group (Fe3O4/SiO2/ED) via coating method and its application for adsorption-desorption of anionic gold in aqueous solution have been conducted. The synthesized product was characterized with an X-ray diffractometer (XRD), a Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectrophotometer and a transmission electron microscopy (TEM). Adsorption of Au(III) was conducted in a batch system and the variables included pH, contact time, and initial concentration were investigated. Results showed that magnetite/silica has been successfully functionalized with N-(2-aminoethyl)-3-aminopropyl in a homogeneous system. Kinetics study showed that adsorption of Au(III) followed the pseudo-second order model with rate constant of 0.710 g mmol L-1min-1. Furthermore, the experimental data fitted well with the Langmuir isotherm model with the maximum adsorption capacity for Au(III) of 142.9 mg g-1 and the energy of 25.0 kJ mol-1. Gold loaded on the Fe3O4/SiO2/ED could be easily desorbed with 0.2 mol L-1 HCl containing 2 wt.% of thiourea with recovery of 99.8%. Fe3O4/SiO2/ED was reusable and stable in 5 cycles of adsorption-desorption with recovery more than 90%. Fe3O4/SiO2/ED showed high selectivity towards Au(III) in the multimetal system Au(III)/Cu(II)/Cr(VI) with the coefficient selectivity for αAu-Cu of 227.5and for αAu-Cr of 12.3.

Abstract

The improvement in the design of mordenite-based catalysts focuses on the present study to fulfill the massive demand for bio-aviation fuel (BAF) as renewable energy. Modification of the mordenite through ionic impregnation of Fe, Cu, and Cr, has supported the mordenite to perform with better efficiency and activity in catalyzing the cracking process of stearic acid. The adjustment on catalytic activity was carried out by simply reacting the catalyst with stearic acid at 190 °C and investigating cracking products with Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectroscopy. The results of the GC-MS test of the cracking product showed the formation of alkane-alkene and aromatic compounds. BAF was selectively obtained (30.27%) when the reaction was catalyzed by FeCuCr/mordenite catalyst. The BAF derived from FeCuCr/mordenite contained hydrocarbons that include xylene, mesitylene, dodecane, tridecane, tetradecane, and pentadecane. However, reduced selectivity was realized (19.85%) when the reaction was catalyzed by nano FeCuCr/mordenite. Its hydrocarbon constituents include benzene, tetradecane, and pentadecane compounds.

Abstract

Guru mempunyai kewajiban besar memastikan anak didik memahami materi pelajaran. Namun, waktu belajar di kelas yang terbatas dan beragamnya kemampuan siswa menyebabkan metode pembelajaran tatap muka di kelas menjadi kurang efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman siswa. Tantangan dunia pendidikan menuntut guru harus memiliki kompetensi penguasaan teknologi digital. Video pembelajaran yang disajikan secara virtual adalah salah satu metode pembelajaran efektif untuk siswa. Oleh karena itu, guru seyogyanya memiliki kemampuan membuat video digital secara mandiri. Pengenalan jenis teknologi digital, instalasi dan penggunaan aplikasi pembuatan video telah dilakukan ke 45 orang Guru SMP-SMA Muhammadiyah Gresik pada tanggal 21 Juni 2022 untuk meningkatkan kompetensi guru terhadap pemanfaatan teknologi digital dalam pembelajaran. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan meliputi pemberian materi oleh tenaga ahli, praktik peserta didampingi oleh mentor, dan pembuatan video secara mandiri. Berdasar hasil analisis nilai pre-test dan post-test saat kegiatan, terdapat peningkatan nilai peserta dari sebelum pelatihan (pre-test) adalah 76,8 dan setelah mengikuti pelatihan (post-test), nilai peserta menjadi 97,2. Peserta mendapatkan peningkatan pemahaman dalam membuat video pembelajaran yang ditunjukkan dengan hasil karya video pembelajaran yang dibuat secara individu oleh peserta. Video pembelajaran yang dihasilkan peserta juga telah memenuhi kriteria video digital yang baik. Data evaluasi kegiatan menunjukkan workshop ini diperlukan dan tepat sasaran untuk pengembangan profesional khususnya Guru SMP-SMA Muhammadiyah Gresik. Konsep kegiatan juga sesuai untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan yang ada di pendidikan tingkat SMP-SMA. Dengan demikian, pelatihan ini berhasil meningkatkan kompetensi peserta tentang penggunaan video dan teknologi digital sebagai salah satu inovasi pembelajaran.Teachers are responsible for ensuring students catch on to the subject matter. However, the limited study time in class and students' varying abilities cause face-to-face learning methods to be less effective in increasing student understanding. The global challenge of education demands teachers become competent in digital mastering technology. Learning videos that are presented virtually are an effective learning method for students. Consequently, teachers should have the ability to make digital videos independently. This study introduced digital technology types, installation, and video-making applications for teachers in Muhammadiyah's junior and senior high schools in Gresik (SMP-SMA Muhammadiyah Gresik) on June 21, 2022, increasing teacher competency in using digital technology in learning. The implementation method includes providing material by experts, having participants practice accompanied by mentors, and making videos independently. Based on the analysis of the pre-test and post-test scores during the activity, there was an increase in the participant's score from before the training (pre-test), which was 76.8. After participating in the training (post-test), the participant scored 97.2. Participants gain an increased understanding of making learning videos, as shown by the results of learning videos made individually by participants. The learning videos produced by the participants also met the criteria for good digital videos. Activity evaluation data show that this workshop is necessary and right on target for professional development, especially for SMP-SMA Muhammadiyah Gresik Teachers. The activity concept is also suitable for solving problems in junior high school level education. Thus, this training succeeded in increasing the competence of participants regarding the use of video and digital technology as one of the learning innovations.

Abstract

Modification of electrode using polymelamine (PM) and gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) has been successfully developed via electropolymerization and electrodeposition onto carbon paste electrode (CPE) using cyclic voltammetry (CV) technique. The modified electrode (AuNPs/PM/CPE) was applied as voltammetry sensors in a simultaneous of dopamine (DA) and ascorbic acid (AA). AuNPs/PM/CPE presented an effective surface area 5 times wider than CPE and demonstrated good electrocatalytic performance in the oxidation of DA and AA in 0.1 M phosphate buffer solution (pH 3) with a scan rate of 100 mV s−1. The differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) technique was chosen as the best method for separating potential peaks of DA and AA. The linear response for determining DA and AA using the DPV technique produced a concentration range of 0.1–13 and 0.4–12 µM with coefficient linearity of 0.9999 and 0.9997, the limit of detection of 0.1405 and 0.2187 µM, the accuracy of 89.62–109.16%, and 83.63–105.08%, and the precision of 0.017–0.701% and 0.066–0.626%, respectively. In addition, this electrode was applied in a real sample of infant urine with a concentration of 1 µM by spike method and found 98.86 and 98.28% as percent recovery of DA and AA, respectively.
