Abstract

The community service activities have been carried out at Madrasah Aliyah Masyhudiyah Gresik. Thepurpose of service is: 1) providing understanding to teachers in making learning material throughYouTube, 2) providing motivation to teachers, 3) building teachers' confidence, and 4) using YouTube forfun learning tools. Methods of activities are lectures, demonstrations, workshops and training using theCamtasia application. Data collection techniques are based on the results of the pretest - posttest andparticipatory approach. Data analysis to measure the success category is done by calculating thepercentage of correct answers for each aspect asked, the percentage of learning videos made and thenumber of learning videos uploaded. The results of the activities are: 1) the teacher's understanding inmaking construction of video-based learning materials on average increased by 52%, 2) 100% of teachershave made videos for learning media using the Camtasia application, 3) 30% of teachers have uploadedlearning videos on social media YouTube This activity resulted in an increase in teacher understandingrelated to the importance of using YouTube as a learning medium and videos containing learning materialscreated by madrasa teachers.

Abstract

 AbstrakNanopartikel, dalam beberapa tahun ini mendapatkan perhatian lebih dari peneliti dan ilmuan dunia, hal ini terlihat banyaknya jurnal maupun penelitian terutama dalam bidang kesehatan. Salah satu contoh aplikasi dalam bidang biomedis sebagai agen pengontras yaitu Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI). Nanopartikel magnetik CuFe2O4 telah berhasil disintesis yang berasal dari bahan Fe(acac)3 dan Cu(acac)2 dengan penambahan Bovine Serum Albumin sebagai nanocarrier. Sintesis dilakukan dengan mencampurkan bahan Fe(acac)3 dan Cu(acac)2, kemudian mereaksikannya secara solvothermal sehingga membentuk CuFe2O4. Proses selanjutnya mencampurkan larutan CuFe2O4 dan larutan BSA dalam air kemudian diultrasonikasi. Produk CuFe2O4-BSA selanjutnya dikarakterisasi dan diuji ketahanan terhadap perubahan pH dan penambahan garam. Hasil uji menunjukkan bahwa CuFe2O4-BSA dapat mempertahankan kestabilan, terbukti pada pH 3-12 selama 24 jam dan pada konsentrasi garam 0,5 M masih tetap stabil. Proses sintesis dapat dikatakan berhasil dilakukan karena hasil XRD menunjukkan terdapatnya senyawa CuFe2O4 sesuai database JCPDF 34-0425, dimana menunjukkan peak pada posisi pada 34,718º, 35,861º, dan 62,156º. Hasil karakterisasi menggunakan XRD menunjukkan bahwa peak produk muncul pada posisi 35.3896º dan 62.6159º. Hasil karakterisasi menggunakan DLS menunjukkan bahwa produk CuFe2O4-BSA memiliki rata-rata diameter partikel sebesar 153,2 nm. Hasil karakterisasi MSB menunjukkan bahwa CuFe2O4 memiliki momen magnet yang tinggi yaitu sebesar 1,57BM. Uji Sitotoksik CCK-8 menunjukkan nanopartikel magnetik CuFe2O4-BSA, secara keseluruhan memiliki sifat yang tidak toksik terhadap sel HeLa dibuktikan dengan nilai derajat viabilitas terendah memiliki nilai 82%. Katakunci: Nanopartikel Magnetik, CuFe2O4, Bovine Serum Albumin,Sitotoksik

Abstract

AbstractThe seawater fishery in Dusun Sine has the higher potentials, due to its location near the coastal area of Sine Beach. In general, the people in Dusun Sine make a living as sea fishermen. However, the income of the marine fishing community has not maximized because the community still uses the conventional marine product processing production system, so that the marketing of processed marine fish products is also limited. As an effort to increase the selling value of processed marine fish, the International Community Service Group empowers fishermen's wives in Sine Hamlet by conducting several activity programs in the form of socializing the manufacture of modern marine processed products in the form of Sine Foodies, home industry food (PIRT), and the use of e-commerce. This activity was held to use a health protocol and through a presentation method on product marketing licensing in the form of PIRT socialization and marketing of processed marine fish products with e-commerce as well as demonstrations on the process of making processed marine fish products in the form of shredded fish and fish balls using attractive packaging. Participants in the socialization were fishermen's wives, village cadres, and prospective entrepreneurs from Kalibatur Village.Keywords: Assistance, processed marine fish products, Processing, Licensing management, MarketingAbstrakSektor perikanan air laut yang ada di Dusun Sine, Desa Kalibatur, Kecamatan Kalidawir, Kabupaten Tulungagung, memiliki potensi yang sangat tinggi. Hal ini disebabkan letaknya yang berada di dekat wilayah pesisir Pantai Sine. Secara umum, masyarakat di Dusun Sine bermata pencaharian sebagai nelayan laut. Namun, pendapatan masyarakat nelayan laut belum maksimal karena masyarakat masih menggunakan sistem produksi pengolahan hasil laut secara konvensional, sehingga pemasaran produk hasil olahan ikan laut juga terbatas dengan seadanya. Sebagai upaya untuk meningkatkan nilai jual hasil olahan ikan laut, Tim Pengabdian masyarakat Departemen Kimia, Fakultas Sains dan Teknologi, Universitas Airlangga dengan didukung penuh oleh Kelompok mahasiswa KKN Internasional, FST, UNAIR melakukan upaya pemberdayaan para istri nelayan di Dusun Sine dengan melakukan beberapa program kegiatan berupa sosialisasi pembuatan hasil olahan laut secara modern berupa Sine Foodies, pangan industri rumah tangga (PIRT), serta penggunaan e-commerce. Kegiatan ini diselenggarakan menggunakan protokol kesehatan dan melalui metode presentasi mengenai perijinan pemasaran produk berupa sosialisasi PIRT dan pemasaran produk hasil olahan ikan laut dengan e-commerceserta demonstrasi mengenai proses pembuatan produk hasil olahan ikan laut yang berupa abon ikan dan bakso ikan dengan menggunakan kemasan yang menarik. Peserta sosialisasi adalah para istri nelayan, kader desa, dan calon pengusaha yang berasal dari Dusun Sine, Desa Kalibatur. Kata Kunci: Pendampingan, Produksi makanan olahan hasil laut, Pengurusan perijinan, Pemasaran

Abstract

Carbon nanodots (CNDs) have widely received great attention as a result of favorable optical, electrical, optoelectrical, biocompatible, and non-toxic properties these nanoparticles possess. However, the exploration of nanoparticle from natural raw material was limited. In present work, the carbon dots were produced from catechin isolated from Uncaria gambir through a simple and facile process. Carbon nanodots were further produced by the pyrolysis process of catechin, which allowed it for carbonization. Owing to its unique properties such as photoluminescence with an emission peak at 500 nm (lex = 380 nm), average size diameter about 5 nm and non-toxic; Cat-CNDs were incredibly potential for staining targeted tumor cells. The staining ability by confocal microscopy observations showed their green fluorescence images which meant that the CNDs easily penetrated HeLa cells via endocytosis. The resulting CNDs which were analyzed using some significant techniques approved that the prepared Cat-CNDs were tremendously dispersible and water-soluble, good colloidal stability, excellent biocompatibility, favorable hydrophilicity, high photostability, and non-toxicity.

Abstract

Candida albicans often form polymicrobial biofilms along with pathogenic microbes. Silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) were well known to have strong antimicrobial activity. However, their effect on polymicrobial biofilms and the mechanism has never been reported. This study aimed to synthesize AgNPs and study their effects on polymicrobial biofilm represented by C. albicans–E. coli biofilm. Polymicrobial biofilms, formed by clinical isolates of C. albicans and E. coli, were developed from the standardized suspensions of each strain by culturing flat-bottom 96-well microtiter plates for 48 h, then treated with AgNPs. Cell viability was assessed using the tetrazolium salt reduction assay; the extent of biofilm formation was measured by crystal violet staining. AgNPs reduced the polymicrobial biofilm in two ways: by degrading the extracellular matrix and killing both C. albicans and E. coli. The results showed AgNPs is a potential new approach for developing potent anti-biofilms.

Abstract

The improvement in the design of mordenite-based catalysts focuses on the present study to fulfill the massive demand for bio-aviation fuel (BAF) as renewable energy. Modification of the mordenite through ionic impregnation of Fe, Cu, and Cr, has supported the mordenite to perform with better efficiency and activity in catalyzing the cracking process of stearic acid. The adjustment on catalytic activity was carried out by simply reacting the catalyst with stearic acid at 190 °C and investigating cracking products with Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectroscopy. The results of the GC-MS test of the cracking product showed the formation of alkane-alkene and aromatic compounds. BAF was selectively obtained (30.27%) when the reaction was catalyzed by FeCuCr/mordenite catalyst. The BAF derived from FeCuCr/mordenite contained hydrocarbons that include xylene, mesitylene, dodecane, tridecane, tetradecane, and pentadecane. However, reduced selectivity was realized (19.85%) when the reaction was catalyzed by nano FeCuCr/mordenite. Its hydrocarbon constituents include benzene, tetradecane, and pentadecane compounds.

Abstract

Guru mempunyai kewajiban besar memastikan anak didik memahami materi pelajaran. Namun, waktu belajar di kelas yang terbatas dan beragamnya kemampuan siswa menyebabkan metode pembelajaran tatap muka di kelas menjadi kurang efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman siswa. Tantangan dunia pendidikan menuntut guru harus memiliki kompetensi penguasaan teknologi digital. Video pembelajaran yang disajikan secara virtual adalah salah satu metode pembelajaran efektif untuk siswa. Oleh karena itu, guru seyogyanya memiliki kemampuan membuat video digital secara mandiri. Pengenalan jenis teknologi digital, instalasi dan penggunaan aplikasi pembuatan video telah dilakukan ke 45 orang Guru SMP-SMA Muhammadiyah Gresik pada tanggal 21 Juni 2022 untuk meningkatkan kompetensi guru terhadap pemanfaatan teknologi digital dalam pembelajaran. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan meliputi pemberian materi oleh tenaga ahli, praktik peserta didampingi oleh mentor, dan pembuatan video secara mandiri. Berdasar hasil analisis nilai pre-test dan post-test saat kegiatan, terdapat peningkatan nilai peserta dari sebelum pelatihan (pre-test) adalah 76,8 dan setelah mengikuti pelatihan (post-test), nilai peserta menjadi 97,2. Peserta mendapatkan peningkatan pemahaman dalam membuat video pembelajaran yang ditunjukkan dengan hasil karya video pembelajaran yang dibuat secara individu oleh peserta. Video pembelajaran yang dihasilkan peserta juga telah memenuhi kriteria video digital yang baik. Data evaluasi kegiatan menunjukkan workshop ini diperlukan dan tepat sasaran untuk pengembangan profesional khususnya Guru SMP-SMA Muhammadiyah Gresik. Konsep kegiatan juga sesuai untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan yang ada di pendidikan tingkat SMP-SMA. Dengan demikian, pelatihan ini berhasil meningkatkan kompetensi peserta tentang penggunaan video dan teknologi digital sebagai salah satu inovasi pembelajaran.Teachers are responsible for ensuring students catch on to the subject matter. However, the limited study time in class and students' varying abilities cause face-to-face learning methods to be less effective in increasing student understanding. The global challenge of education demands teachers become competent in digital mastering technology. Learning videos that are presented virtually are an effective learning method for students. Consequently, teachers should have the ability to make digital videos independently. This study introduced digital technology types, installation, and video-making applications for teachers in Muhammadiyah's junior and senior high schools in Gresik (SMP-SMA Muhammadiyah Gresik) on June 21, 2022, increasing teacher competency in using digital technology in learning. The implementation method includes providing material by experts, having participants practice accompanied by mentors, and making videos independently. Based on the analysis of the pre-test and post-test scores during the activity, there was an increase in the participant's score from before the training (pre-test), which was 76.8. After participating in the training (post-test), the participant scored 97.2. Participants gain an increased understanding of making learning videos, as shown by the results of learning videos made individually by participants. The learning videos produced by the participants also met the criteria for good digital videos. Activity evaluation data show that this workshop is necessary and right on target for professional development, especially for SMP-SMA Muhammadiyah Gresik Teachers. The activity concept is also suitable for solving problems in junior high school level education. Thus, this training succeeded in increasing the competence of participants regarding the use of video and digital technology as one of the learning innovations.

Abstract

The adsorption of brilliant green onto magnetite-graphene oxide nanoparticles (MGONPs) from an aqueous solution was explored via batch experiments. The adsorption properties of MGONPs were carried out under various experimental conditions related to pH, contact time, adsorbent dose, temperature, and initial adsorbate concentration. The adsorption capacity of MGONPs and optimum pH were 54.57 mg g−1 and 6, respectively. Equilibrium was attained after 30 min, and the adsorption kinetics data best fitted the pseudo-second-order. The Freundlich isotherm best fits the equilibrium. Acetone was able to desorb the dye from the loaded adsorbent. Additionally, the newly developed adsorption attributes effective surface area (eSBET) and dimensionless preferential adsorption (qp) were more accurate than the conventional specific surface area (SBET). The adsorption capacity provides information about the sorbate-sorbent interface (q). The relevance and accuracy of the new parameters for future adsorption system design by correlation analysis were validated. This study confirms the successful modification of MGONPs for the sorption of the cationic dye brilliant green.

Abstract

Nanofiber polikaprolakton (PCL) merupakan serat ultrafine dengan ukuran nano, sehingga dapat dicetak menjadi lapisan yang sangat tipis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kinerja nanofiber PCL ketika digunakan sebagai pelapis pada kertas arsip. Nanofiber PCL disintesis dengan metode elektrospinning pada variasi konsentrasi polimer polycaprolactone (11% – 19%). Sintesis nanofiber PCL dilakukan dengan menggunakan bahan padatan polikaprolakton dan flow rate elektrospinning sebesar 1 mL/h. Hasil uji sudut kontak menunjukkan nanofiber PCL memiliki tingkat hidrofilitas rendah dibandingkan dengan tisu Jepang. Hasil uji kekuatan tarik menunjukkan nilaielongasi nanofiber lebih besar dibandingkan dengan tisu Jepang dengan selisih sebesar 125,8%, sedangkan nilai tegangan nanofiber lebih kecil dibandingkan dengan tisu Jepang sebesar 3,28 N/mm. Hasil uji morfologi nanofiber PCL menunjukkan ukuran serat nano lebih kecil dibandingkan serat tisu Jepang. Hasil uji gugus fungsi nanofiber PCL menunjukkan adanya karakter khusus dari PCL yaitu adanya gugus peregangan C-O, peregangan asimetris jembatan C-O-C, deformasi CH2, dan ikatan ester karbonil (C=O). Hasil uji termal menunjukkan nanofiber PCL terdegradasi pada suhu 310-467℃ dengan penurunan berat sebesar 93%. Sifat hidrofilitas dan fleksibilitas PCL yang lebih baik dari tisu jepang didukung dengan opasitas yang baik pada laminasi kertas, menjadikan nanofiber PCL sebagai alternatif yang menjanjikan untuk konservasi kertas arsip.
