Abstract

This research was conducted with the aim of improving learning outcomes and understanding of students both affective and cognitive for class XI Santo Thomas 3 Medan Senior High School in dynamic fluid using integrated learning learning models. This study was a quasi-experimental study, where before the experimental class and comparison class were determined the test was given. For the class that gets the highest average value is called the comparison class while the class that gets the lowest average value is called the experimental class. For data collection, it is done by conducting a test by giving questions in the form of multiple choice objectives. The test given is a pretest with the aim to see students initial cognitive and posttest to see the students' final cognitive abilities after being taught by the integrated learning method. To see the affective nature of students used observation sheets, which were carried out during the learning process. The results of data analysis and discussion showed an increase in learning outcomes and students' understanding that was significant with an increase in the average learning outcomes of 37.97%, gain<g> of 0.48. From the calculation of regression analysis obtained a regression coefficient of 0.84, this indicates a strong relationship between learning activities with learning outcomes. The results of the analysis state that using an integrated learning learning model can improve student learning outcomes and understanding, both affective and cognitive, especially for dynamic fluid

Abstract

This service activity aims to provide students with an understanding of learning on physics material through the experimental method using teaching aids. The place where this activity was carried out was SMP N 1 Tapian Nauli. This activity is divided into several stages, the first is the introduction of students by the student-teacher, the second stage is the delivery of learning materials, and the third stage is conducting experiments through teaching aids that have been provided by the teacher. The last stage is conveying the conclusions from the experiments carried out. This activity provides benefits in increasing student understanding of physics learning through the experimental method. With the experimental method used, students become more active and can see directly the physical phenomena that occur through observation. The application of this tutoring through teaching aids is expected to increase students understanding of learning not only with theories and formulas.

Abstract

Learning that occurs in schools certainly has many obstacles and difficulties for students. As a result of online learning that was previously done, many students did not understand the learning material. Learning that occurs and takes place for students in science lessons, especially physics, has been a difficult lesson because of the many formulas and theories that tend to be memorized so that students feel less interested. In physics lessons, experiments are needed to improve students' understanding, so tutoring is carried out after school to overcome students' difficulties using teaching aids with the experimental method. Community service activities with tutoring are carried out at SMP Negeri 1 Tapian Nauli. Props used in electrical circuit material. With props that have been made can help students gain understanding and maximum learning outcomes in the tutoring carried out. The development of this electric circuit aid helps students to practice skills and understanding on series circuits and parallel circuits. The results of this tutoring activity increased student interest and learning outcomes, seen the average value of students before using the electric circuit teaching aid was 34.69 and after using the electric circuit teaching aid 86.57. Based on the N-Gain analysis, it is known that student learning outcomes are categorized as high and the results of the T test (Paired Sample Test) show a significant difference.  The electric circuit teaching aids developed are very feasible, practical and effective to use in learning for students.

Abstract

This activity is to improve the academic climate that is creative, innovative, visionary, solutive and independent and to improve the quality of students in higher education so that later they can become members of the community who have academic and professional abilities who can apply, develop and disseminate science, technology and art as well as enrich the national culture. This Community Service (PkM) activity was carried out at SMP Negeri 1 Tapian Nauli, Jalan Sibolga-Barus KM 0.8 Tapian Nauli, Central Tapanuli Regency. Community service activities are carried out from 02 to 26 February 2022. Not all learning that takes place in schools can be accepted and understood by students. Every activity carried out is expected to provide benefits, as well as community service activities organized by the HKBP Nommensen Medan FKIP Student Team. This community service activity is expected to increase the enthusiasm for learning for students at SMP Negeri 1 Tapian Nauli.

Abstract

Abstract: Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat dengan judul Pelatihan penggunaan KIT IPA bagi guru SMP Negeri 32 Medan telah dilakukan pada 5 dan 12 Juni 2021. Hal ini berhubungan dengan alat-alat laboratorium IPA yang mana merupakan sumber belajar efektif untuk mencapai kompetensi yang diharapkan bagi guru dan siswa, sehingga hal tersebut mampu untuk memberdayakan fungsi laboratorium secara baik untuk menunjang kelancaran proses belajar mengajar. Kegiatan ini berlangsung selama dua hari bertempat di Ruang laboratorium SMP Negeri 32 Medan. Adapun tujuan dari pelaksanaan kegiatan ini adalah memberikan pelatihan penggunaan serta keterampilan para guru IPA tentang penggunaan KIT IPA yang tersedia di SMP Negeri 32 Medan. Kegiatan pengabdian ini menggunakan metode ceramah, demonstrasi dan diskusi. Para guru IPA sangat antusias mengikuti kegiatan ini karena sebagian besar guru kurang memahami mengenai pemakaian alat KIT IPA. Pelatihan tentang penggunaan KIT IPA yang tersedia di laboratorium diharapkan para guru IPA dapat memperoleh pengetahuan dan keterampilan bagaimana cara menggunakan dan memanfaatkan alat-alat tersebut secara tepat sebagai media pembelajaran. Abstract: The activity of citizen with the training on the usage of KIT Science for teachers of SMP Negeri 32 Medan were held on 5th and 12th, June 2021. This activity could relate to science laboratory equipment which is an effective learning to achieve the expected competencies for teachers and students, so it is able to empower the function of laboratory properly to support the continuity teaching and learning process. This activity went on for two days in the laboratory room of SMP Negeri 32 Medan. The purpose of this activities are to provide training on the usage and skills of science teachers on the using of the KIT Science which is available at SMP Negeri 32 Medan. The coaching service activity have methods such lecturing, demonstration and discussion methods. The science teachers were very enthusiastic during participated in the coaching because most of the teachers did not understand the use of the KIT Science tools. The training f the usage of the KIT Science is available in the laboratory that is expected for science teachers to gain knowledge and skills on how to utilize and wield these tools appropriately as learning media.

Abstract

Tutoring plays a very important role in the development of student learning, because not only what is obtained at school, but learning outside school hours has a large enough impact and has an effect on student interest in learning. Tutoring that is carried out can help students achieve optimal development, so as not to hinder student development. Students whose development is hampered or disturbed will affect their development or learning abilities. We use this method of service activities directly and interview science teachers. This service activity is carried out by applying face-to-face tutoring by conducting learning related to simple practicum using learning media. The results of this tutoring activity motivate students in learning and increase student interest in learning to become more creative and active individuals.

Abstract

Mengingat meluasnya virus covid-19 di Penjuru dunia telah memusnahkan banyak manusia. Segala usaha sudah dilaksanakan oleh semua negara termasuk negara Indonesia. Pemerintah Indonesia telah berusaha keras menangani pandemic covid-19 Hingga saat ini semua sektor termasuk pendidikan harus menaatinya. Berbagai macam cara dilakukan untuk mengatasi permasalahan di bidang pendidikan, salah satunya adalah pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang dilakukan oleh mahasiswa Universitas HKBP Nommensen Medan. Dengan adanya program yang dilaksanakan oleh pihak kampus mahasiswa dapat mendistribusikan ilmu ataupun membantu siswa/siswi mengenai pembelajaran terlebih di masa pembelajaran tatap muka terbatas. Adapun metode yang digunakan penulis adalah metode kualitatif yang dimana data diperoleh dari hasil observasi serta wawancara guru serta test kepada siswa kelas IX di SMPN 1 Tapian Nauli. Berdasarkan pengamatan dari observasi, wawancara dan tes penerapan PTM di SMPN 1 Tapian Nauli sesuai dengan panduan pelaksanaan PTM dan tetap menerapkan protokol kesehatan di sekolah.

Abstract

The library is the heart of a school which has a very vital function in supporting the learning process. Therefore, the school library with the ranks of librarians in it, has an obligation to "turn on" the library either through the services provided to visitors, or through other activities carried out inside or outside the library. Through the Institute of Research and Community Service of Nommensen HKBP University, several lecturers carried out community service activities to Senior High School Nasrani 1 Medan carrying out workshops in terms of fostering library management according to the demands and needs of the school . This activity is very important and meaningful, because it can help and better understand in managing in the field of collection procurement, collection inventory, collection classification, and main cataloging. Through this workshop, the librarian will further broaden his knowledge in carrying out his duties in serving students, teachers and other visitors who are registered and not in the library

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana pengaruh penguasaan konsep fisika terhadap kemampuan memecahkan masalah peserta didik kelas X SMP Nasrani 1 Medan tahun pelajaran 2019/2020. Jenis penelitian adalah pre-experimental design one-shot case study dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 48 orang yang penarikannya dilakukan secara purposive sampling. Berdasarkan hasil analisis diperoleh bahwa nilai rata-rata penguasaan konsep IPA (fisika) adalah 77.4 dengan standar devias 6.58, tergolong baik dan nilai rata-rata kemampuan memecahkan masalah sebesar 80.16, dengan standar deviasi 6.28 tergolong baik yang secara umum dapat mencapa kriteria ketuntasan minimal (KKM) ≥ 70. Persamaan regresi linier sederhana Y atas X adalah Y = 20,051+ 0,778 X, dan melalui uji linieritas regresi diperoleh nilai F = 90.703 dan sig. (pvalue) < 0.05 yang menyatakan bahwa kedua varians variabel adalah linier. Selanjutnya indeks koefisien korelasi (r) sebesar 0.815 tergolong tinggi, nilai koefisien determinasi (r2) sebesar 0.6642. Nilai t diperoleh sebesar 9.524 dan sig. (pvalue) < 0.05 yang berarti H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima yang menyatakan bahwa penguasaan konsep berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan memecahkan masalah fisika peserta didik kelas X SMP Nasrani 1 Medan tahun pelajaran 2019/2020.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan nilai karakter rasa ingin tahu peserta didik melalui pembelajaran kooperatif tipe-TGT. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada semester genap tahun pelajaran 2021/2022 di SMP Negeri 7 Medan. Jenis penelitian adalah penelitian tindakan kelas dengan populasi seluruh peserta didik kelas VIII sebanyak 7 kelas dan sampelnya adalah peserta didik kelas VIII-3 sebanyak 32 orang yang penarikannya dilakukan secara purposive sampling. Ujicoba instrumen dilaksanakan di kelas VIII SMP Negeri 37 Medan sebanyak 16 orang untuk menentukan tingkat kesukaran, kehandalan (reliabilitas) dan kevaliditasan instrumen, dan dinyatakan memiliki tingkat kesukaran butir soal sedang, valid dan reliabel. Berdasarkan hasil analisis diperoleh bahwa rasa ingin tahu peserta didik tergolong sangat baik dan mengalami pertumbuhan dan perkembangan yang berarti selama 2 kali pertemuan dalam 2 siklus pelaksanaan. Indikator rasa ingin tahu yang paling menonjol adalah menyimak penjelasan guru terkait materi pembelajaran dan kemampuan dalam menyimpulkan hasil diskusi. Nilai hasil belajar tertinggi melalui tes hasil belajar adalah 85 dan terendah 45 dengan rata-rata 62,9 dan masih di bawah kriteria ketuntasan minimal (KKM) sebesar 70. Disimpulkan bahwa pembelajarn kooperatif tipe-TGT dapat menumbuhkembangkan rasa ingin tahu peserta didik dengan baik.
