Abstract

The city of Kediri, as the third largest city in East Java, has cultural heritage, history and natural beauty that attracts visitors from various regions. However, population growth and motorized vehicles cause traffic jams. Signalized intersections, which are a solution to control intersection conflicts, require knowledge of intersection saturation flows to plan efficient traffic management. Analysis methods such as MKJI 1997 and Time Slice with Vehicle Operating Cost (BOK) calculations help design effective solutions. This research shows that adjusting cycle times, increasing effective width, and optimizing signals can improve transportation system performance and reduce congestion in Kediri City. Cycle time analysis taking into account factors such as vehicle type, traffic volume, and vehicle speed resulted in a cycle time of 90.7 seconds. The impact can be seen in the Degree of Saturation (DS) at various intersection arms, with service variations from E to F. Research also shows a decrease in waiting time/queuing for signal lights from 135 seconds to 118 seconds, which results in a decrease in the degree of saturation (DS) and changes in time cycle. The use of Smart Traffic Lights and traffic engineering, such as immediate left turns on the east arm and additional signs, is required. Evaluation of congestion cost efficiency shows that changing the value of side barriers can save Rp. 22,679,183 in the next five years.

Abstract

Road pavement conditions will overcome the decline in service levels over time. The decline in the level of road services is characterized by the occurrence of damage to the structure of the pavement layer of the road and left in a long period of time it will be able to renew the level of the layer of security that can increase security, comfort, and smoothness in crossing. The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of traffic, pavement structure and CBR on the value of road IRI and estimation of road pavement conditions in the next 10 years. The data used in this research are traffic load, CBR, rainfall and road pavement structure. The analysis was carried out using a method developed by IRI (International Roughness Index) to predict road conditions. Data collection was carried out by surveying road damage using the ROADROID application and (RCI) the Road Condition Index as preliminary data. This research will be applied to data collected from the national road network in East Java province, specifically the Bts national road section. Gresik City - Sadang. To facilitate analysis, the road segment is divided into 3 segments with the length of each km segment starting from Km 20 to Km 40. The results of data analysis show an increase in traffic load of 31% will result in an increase in IRI value of 0.061 m / km per year, a structural value of 11.32% resulting in an increase in IRI of 0.034 m / km per growth, based on a CBR of 38% resulting in an increase IRI value of 0.017 m / km per year. The predicted results of road pavement conditions on Km 40, 20 and 20 sections are minor damaged roads, for Km 20, 40 routine maintenance sections.

Abstract

This study aims to identify risks, conduct risk analysis with the severity index method, and determine responses to risks that occur in the implementation of the Bojonegoro Regency Oncology Special Hospital Phase 2 construction work. From the results of risk identification, there are 31 risks grouped into 8 variables. After analysing the data with the severity index method, which is a technique used in calculating the probability value and also the impact, the results obtained were 3 risks in the medium category and 2 risks in the high category. The 5 dominant risks require a risk response. Risk responses to reduce the negative impact of project delays, especially for risks in the high category, include the risk of uncertain weather by planning the scheduling of large works such as casting so that they are not carried out during the rainy season. The risk of unavailability of labour in the field by cooperating with other subcontractors to help complete certain parts of the project.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the effectiveness of Critical Path Method (CPM) in controlling the time and cost of the Pedestrian Tunnel construction project connecting Joyoboyo Intermodal Terminal with Surabaya Zoo. This project experienced various obstacles such as social conflicts, utility handling, and cross-agency coordination, resulting in delays in implementation. The research used a qualitative approach with primary data in the form of field observations and secondary data from project documents such as schedules, weekly reports, and cost budget plans (RAB). The analysis technique involved identifying the critical path, calculating the activity time, and evaluating the impact of delays on the project schedule. The results showed that the application of CPM was able to identify the critical path that had a direct impact on the project completion time. By knowing which activities have no float time, resource management can be optimised to reduce delays. However, the change in tunnel length from 156 metres to 172 metres affected the total project cost, although the implementation cost on the critical path was maintained.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the priority of road handling in East Java Province by integrating the Provincial/District Roads Management System (PKRMS) application and the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method. Road condition data is obtained from PKRMS, including the physical condition of the road, traffic volume, and other parameters. The main criteria used in the AHP analysis are road condition, volume capacity ratio (VCR), connectivity, land use and priority areas of East Java Province. Each criterion was assessed and weighted based on its level of importance to produce road handling priorities.  The results showed that the integration of PKRMS and AHP was able to produce a more accurate order of road handling priorities in accordance with strategic needs. In the UPT PJJ Surabaya Road Section, road improvement priorities are arranged based on the Triggered Priority Index (TPI) value obtained from the combined analysis. This research also provides cost estimates for each road section, which helps with more efficient budget planning.  With this approach, it is expected that road management in East Java Province can be carried out more effectively, support inter-regional connectivity, and have a positive impact on economic growth.

Abstract

Infrastructure project delays are often a major challenge in the construction industry, including the Penganten - Ngampal Road Reconstruction project which experienced a 50-day delay from the initial target. This problem is caused by the uncertainty of external factors such as weather and limited resources. This research aims to calculate the probability of success of project completion time using quantitative descriptive method with Program Evaluation and Review Technique (PERT) approach. This method involves three estimates, namely optimistic, most likely, and pessimistic times to evaluate the average duration and critical path of the project. The data used consisted of project reports, field observations, and calculations using POM-QM software. The analysis shows that the project critical path consists of activities A, C, D, E, and F with a total duration of 60 days. The probability of completing the project within 60 days reached 98.21%, showing the effectiveness of the PERT method in managing time uncertainty.

Abstract

Adequate availability of clean water is an essential basic need for urban communities, including in Dili City, the capital of Timor Leste, as clean water supports health, hygiene, and various economic activities. However, Dili City faces a number of challenges in providing optimal clean water supply, such as rapid population growth, uncontrolled urbanization, inadequate infrastructure, and a distribution leakage rate of up to 30%, which causes difficulties in accessing clean water for some communities. This study aims to analyze the demand and availability of clean water in Dili City, and calculate the ratio of clean water services based on existing data, using a positivistic approach and theoretical-analytical and empirical-analytical methods. The results show that the demand for clean water in Dili City reaches 129,060 liters per second, with the highest production capacity in Comoro Village, but the distribution of clean water services is not evenly distributed. Becora Village has the highest service ratio, while Balibar Village shows a low ratio.
