The God of the Israelites is a God of covenants that bind covenants with humanity. Agreement between them has a binding nature to one another. Throughout the history of the Israelites recorded in the Old Testament, God often spoke through His prophets. God delivered a special message about the lives of the Israelites and also what He promised them through these prophets. All messages in the Old Testament and the prophetic books refer to a conditional Covenant. On the one hand, God pursues and punishes, but on the other hand, He restores. The Covenant theology reveals God's intention to punish and repair that is manifested in Christ's mission. This paper analyzes the implementation of the covenant theology in the ministry of the Prophet Zephaniah through the study of literature and sees its implementation for the presence of Christ in the world.Abstrak: Allah adalah Allah perjanjian yang mengikat perjanjian kepada umat manusia. Perjanjian yang terjalin antara Allah dengan manusia memiliki sifat yang sangat mengikat. Di dalam kehidupan bangsa Israel yang terekam sepanjang kitab Perjanjian Lama, Allah bersabda melalui nabi nabiNya. Allah memberikan pesan secara spesifik perihal kehidupan bangsa Israel dan juga apa yang menjadi janjiNya kepada mereka. Seluruh pesan Perjanjian Lama dan khususnya kitab Nabi-nabi mengarah pada satu perjanjian atau kovenan bersyarat. Pada satu sisi, Allah menuntut dan menghukum tetapi pada sisi lain, Allah memulihkan. Teologi kovenan menampilkan maksud Allah untuk menghukum dan memulihkan yang tergambar di dalam misi Kristus. Tulisan ini menganalisis implementasi Teologi kovenan di dalam pelayanan Nabi Zefanya melalui studi literatur dan melihat implementaisnya bagi kehadiran Kristus di dunia.

A common problem regarding the method section in the structure of scientific journals is that they are written in general and not typical. A research method must report the procedures the researcher takes to carry out his research. The contents are not the same as the method descriptions in other studies. Therefore, this paper aims to explain the importance of methods in the structure of writing scientific journal articles. In particular, several methods commonly referred to in theological research are presented descriptively and topically. The conclusion obtained is, with the correct understanding of the research method, lecturers or researchers can produce theological research work that can be accounted for its academic validity. Research contribution: This paper provides insights to lecturers and researchers in writing and formulating methods in scientific journal papers and contributing material in writing scientific papers.Permasalahan umum mengenai bagian metode di dalam struktur jurnal ilmiah adalah ditulis secara umum dan tidak khas. Padahal, sebuah metode penelitian harus melaporkan prosedur yang ditempuh peneliti untuk menjalankan penelitiannya. Isinya tidak sama dengan penjelasan metode pada penelitian lain. Oleh karena itu paper ini bertujuan menjelaskan tentang pentingnya metode di dalam struktur penulisan artikel jurnal ilmiah. Secara khusus dipaparkan secara deskriptif dan topikal beberapa metode yang umum dirujuk dalam penelitian teologis. Kesimpulan yang diperoleh adalah, dengan pemahaman yang benar tentang metode penelitian, dosen atau peneliti dapat menghasilkan karya penelitian teologis yang dapat dipertanggungjawabkan validitasnya secara akademik. Kontribusi penelitian: Paper ini memberikan wawasan kepada dosen dan peneliti di dalam menulis dan merumuskan metode dalam paper jurnal ilmiah dan menyumbang materi dalam penulisan karya ilmiah.

This paper examines the practice of teaching and learning in the education system in Israel and its central role in shaping students' national insight. The method used is a characteristic-thinking analysis which is reported qualitatively descriptively. The analysis results show that the Israeli education system based on religious teachings has succeeded in forming the national insight and spirit of nationalism of students, which is then referred to as religious nationalism. Through the Havruta system or learning in pairs, each student is guided to find the meaning of the text and apply the text in the practice of living within the framework of national identity. This study proposes that the Indonesian theological education system needs to develop a similar model within the Indonesian context. Further research is needed to develop typical Indonesian models to produce Christian theologians integrated as salt and light in maintaining Indonesian identity.AbstrakPaper ini mengkaji praktik belajar mengajar di dalam sistem pendidikan di Israel dan peran sentralnya di dalam membentuk wawasan kebangsaan peserta didik. Metode yang dipergunakan adalah cirical-thinking analysis yang dilaporkan secara kualitatif-deskriptif. Hasil analisis memperlihatkan bahwa sistem pendidikan Israel yang berbasis pada ajaran agama berhasil membentuk wawasan kebangsaan dan semangat nasionalisme peserta didik yang kemudian disebut sebagai nasionalisme-religius. Melalui sistem Havruta atau belajar berpasangan, setiap siswa dituntun menemukan makna teks dan menerapkan teks tersebut di dalma praktik kehidupan dalam kerangka identitas nasional. Penelitian ini mengusulkan bahwa sistem pendidikan teologi Indonesia perlu mengembangkan model serupa tetapi di dalam konteks keindonesiaan. Penelitian lanjutan diperlukan untuk mengembangkan model-model khas Indonesia untuk menghasilkan teolog Kristen yang terintegrasi sebagai garam dan terang di dalam mempertahankan identitas keindonesiaan.

Pandemi Covid 19 memberi dampak di berbagai lini kehidupan. Salah satunya adalah meningkatnya angka diskriminasi dan intoleransi yang dialami oleh berbagai kalangan masyarakat dari berbagai penganut agama maupun golongan. Banyak cara telah dilakukan demi hilangnya intoleransi dan diskriminasi di Indonesia namun masih saja terdapat tindakan-tindakan tersebut. Paper ini mengusulkan konsep dialog yang bertumpu pada deklarasi Nostra Aetate. Pendekatan utama yang dilakukan dalam paper ini adalah teori-kritik (critical theory) untuk menganalisa secara deskriptif konsep-konsep utama yang dibahas yakni Nostra Aetate dan dialog kerukunan. Hasil yang didapat adalah bahwa deklarasi Nostra Aetate merupakan sebuah tawaran alternatif yang dapat diambil di Indonesia guna menyampaikan kasih Allah kepada manusia melalui beberapa cara dialogis, pastoral dan harmonis.

This study aims to examine and examine the concept of the divine trial regarding every human act at the end of time by using the Corpus Delicti perspective that was initiated by Erastus Sabdono regarding the fall of Lucifer. Corpus Delicti is a principle that emphasizes that a person cannot be punished unless proven guilty. It is concluded that in the concept of Christian theology, all people will actually stand before God, the Judge and all their deeds in the world are evidence for God to give rewards. The Corpus Delicti conception cannot be fully applied in Christian theology except definitively about its meaning. Because this term only and always refers to evil, whereas in Christian theology, divine commerce also includes good works. The analysis was carried out using the technique of fits biblical expectations, which is based on commentaries, conceptions, and views of theologians in books and journal papers. Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan menelaah dan meneliti konsepsi persidangan ilahi menyangkut setiap perbuatan manusia di akhir zaman dengan mengguna-kan cara pandang Corpus Delicti yang digagas oleh Erastus Sabdono mengenai kejatuhan Lucifer. Corpus Delicti adalah prinsip yang menekankan bahwa sese-orang tidak dapat dihukum kecuali dibuktikan bersalah. Disimpulkan bahwa di dalam konsep teologi Kristen, semua orang justru akan berdiri di hadapan Tuhan, Sang Hakim, dan semua perbuatannya di dunia adalah alat bukti bagi Tuhan untuk memberikan ganjaran. Konsepsi Corpus Delicti tidak dapat dipa-kai sepenuhnya di dalam teologi Kristen kecuali secara definitif tentang penger-tiannya. Sebab, istilah ini hanya dan selalu merujuk pada kejahatan sedangkan di dalam teologi Kristen, persidagangan ilahi juga mencakup perbuatan baik. Analisis dilakukan dengan teknik fits biblical expectations yang berpijak pada commentary, konsepsi dan padangan teolog di dalam buku dan paper jurnal.

This paper reports the results of research on urban evangelism conducted online using a Zoom application with one-on-one techniques. The method is to conduct worldview talks with other religions in Melbourne, Australia. The dialogue refers to three key questions: (1) What is the worldview of your belief or religion? (2) Is there more to life than this? and (3) How does your belief or religion contribute to your life? The paper is presented in the form of descriptive reports. As a result, dialogue between religious people through a worldview approach in urban areas is effective as an effort to deepen the beliefs of others and introduce religious teachings embraced by other religions. The research contributes to the strategy of contemporary urban missions in the pandemic in the digital community. It provides new insights that evangelism can be done using technological devices in addition to the traditional way.

Religious life cannot be separated from society. As a religious institution, the church must impact society through concrete action. One of these approaches is through pastoral theology. This research aims to provide a methodological template for academics and churches, in particular, to use pastoral theology to analyze societal problems. This is necessary because some churches are still bound by dogmas that restrict the church’s role to “spiritual” matters rather than matters of concrete social concern. So, churches often distance themselves from the social theory approach in dissecting society's problems. The analytical tool used in this paper is the pastoral cycle method. A pastoral theological approach focuses on cases that have occurred or are currently occurring in society. This paper uses the case of food scarcity, namely cooking oil, which has occurred in Indonesia. The research results show that the social theological approach, which has been shunned by evangelical theology, can be used in dissecting and mapping social cases in society to contribute to the church in determining anticipatory steps and responding with concern to these social problems. Through this research, it can be concluded that the social function of the church as light and salt of the world can be achieved by using pastoral theology. The implications of this research will encourage churches to position themselves as government partners in realizing the achievement of SDG targets on the one hand and the other hand, provide new insight that pastoral theology does not only deal with “spiritual” (i.e., intangible) matters. It can be seen that a Biblical approach can be intertwined with social analysis for the purpose of social welfare.

This research seeks the priority of human resources development in Indonesian ecclesiology as the response to economic digitalization growth. The COVID-19 pandemic has created vast changes in the economic market and needs a long-term strategy in human resources management. As a community of people, a church needs to pursue the future agenda of 21st-century ecclesiology. Through the conducting of the sociology of religion method, this research finds out the old concept of ecclesiology and needs to improve as the immediate response for eliminating human resources. The study concludes by showing human resources as the priority agenda for development in economic digitalization. Abstrak Kitab Kejadian 1 dan 2 menyajikan narasi tentang penciptaan yang berbeda dan sering dijadikan bahan untuk mempertanyakan kredibilitas Alkitab. Betulkah kedua narasi itu berasal dari dua sumber yang berbeda? Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjawab pertanyaan tersebut dengan menggunakan pendekatan epistemologis, teori documentary hypotesis serta kritik teks dan sumber terhadap narasi tekstual Kejadian 1 dan 2. Diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa kedua teks sekalipun berbeda isi, komposisi dan gaya, tetapi menyajikan pesan teologis yang menyatu dan tidak saling bertentangan. Abstract The books of Genesis 1 and 2 present different narratives of creation and are often used as material to question the credibility of the Bible. Is it true that the two narratives come from two different sources? This research aims to answer this question by using an epistemological approach, documentary hypothesis theory as well as text and source criticism of the textual narratives of Genesis 1 and 2. The conclusion is that even though the two texts are different in content, composition and style, they present a theological message that is unified and not mutually exclusive. contradictory.

Marriage in Nias included in a traditional marriage model heavily influenced by the Nias people's pre-Christian culture and the customary law called Fondrako. That is why the color of local wisdom in its implementation is evident, but it also becomes a syncretism whenever it intersects with religious teachings. The Nias marriage scheme is, and what kind of Fondrako customary law influences its implementation, and the theological reposition of religion in the traditional marriage system is the discussion and objectives of this paper. The method used is a literature study with qualitative analysis, which utilizes primary sources about Nias from books and research results. Conclusion: the practice of marriage in Nias took place in three stages, namely the search for the bride and groom (famaigi ono alawe), engagement (fanunu manu), and the implementation of the marriage itself (falöwa). Cultural values in Nias weddings are still solid and practiced today. The church in Nias has succeeded in carrying out the spiritual inclusion of tribal religions into Christianity in marriage procedures. One of this research's contributions is the need for awareness for the new generation of Nias to realize the Nias marriage scheme in its philosophical values rather than rejecting it for complicated and burdensome procedural reasons. The Nias generation itself must defend this cultural wealth.Pernikahan di Nias termasuk dalam sebuah model perikahan adat yang sangat dipengaruhi oleh kebudayaan pra Kristen dan hukum adat yang disebut Fondrako. Itu sebabnya warna kearifan lokal di dalam penyelenggaraannya sangat kentara, tetapi juga menjadi sebuah sinkretisme manakala beririsan dengan ajaran agama. Bagaimana skema pernikahan Nias, dan seperti apa hukum adat Fondrako membawa pengaruh di dalam pelaksanaannya, serta reposisi teologis agama di dalam sistem adat pernikahan adalah pembahasan dan tujuan yang ingin dikemukakan di dalam paper ini. Metode yang dipergunakan adalah studi pustaka dengan analisis kualitatif, yang memanfaatkan sumber-sumber primer tentang Nias dari buku-buku dan hasil penelitian. Disimpulkan bahwa praktik pernikahan di Nias berlangsung di dalam tiga tahap yakni pencarian calon mempelai (famaigi ono alawe), pertunangan (fanunu manu) dan pelaksanaan pernikahan itu sendiri (falöwa). Nilai-nilai budaya di dalam pernikahan Nias masih sangat kental dan dipraktekkan hingga dewasa ini. Gereja di Nias berhasil pada batas-batas tertentu melakukan inklusi rohani dari agama suku kepada agama Kristen di dalam tata cara pernikahan. Salah satu kontribusi penelitian ini adalah, perlu kesadaran bagi generasi baru Nias untuk menyadari skema perkawinan Nias di dalam nilai filosofisnya daripada menolaknya karena alasan prosedural yang ribet dan membebani. Kekayaan budaya ini harus dipertahkan oleh generasi Nias sendiri.
