Abstract

Ayam kampung merupakan ayam lokal di Indonesia yang sudah terkenal di masyarkat. Bungkil inti sawit (BIS) merupakan hasil olahan dari proses pengolahan inti sawit menjadi Palm Kernel Oil (PKO). Zat makanan yang terdapat pada bungkil inti sawit yaitu kandungan protein kasar sebesar 18-19%. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan mei sampai bulan juli 2015 di kandang ternak unggas Program Diploma Institut Pertanian Bogor. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh subtitusi tepung bungkil inti sawit dalam ransum komersil terhadap karkas ayam kampung. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL). Masing-masing terdiri dari 4 perlakuan dan 4ulangan. Adapun perlakuan yang digunakan yaitu : R0 = 100% Ransum Komersil, R1 = 90% Ransum Komersil + BIS 10%, R2 = 85% Ransum Komersil + BIS 15% dan R3 = 80% Ransum Komersil + BIS 20% . Data yang diperoleh dianalisa menggunakan Analisys Of Variance (ANOVA), bila data menunjukan hasil yang berbeda nyata (p<0,05) dilanjutkan dengan uji Duncan. Subtitusi Tepung Bungkil Inti Sawit dalam ransum komersil terhadap karkas ayam kampung tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap Bobot potong, persentase karkas, persentase jeroan rempela dan jantung dan persentase potongan komersil. (p>0,05), akan tetapi berpengaruh nyata terhadap persentase bobot hati (p<0,05) pada perlakuan R0 dan R3

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi dan mengetahui pengaruh NKAR terhadap bobot potong, bobot karkas mutlak (BKM), bobot karkas relatif (BKR), bobot daging dada tanpa tulang dan kulit mutlak (Skinless Boneless Breast/SBBM), bobot daging dada tanpa tulang dan kulit relatif (Skinless Boneless Breast/SBBR) dan bobot jeroan (Giblet) yang terdiri dari bobot jantung mutlak (BJM), bobot jantung relatif (BJR), bobot rempela mutlak (BRM), bobot rempela relatif (BRR), bobot hati dan limpa  mutlak (BHLM), bobot hati dan limpa  relatif (BHLR), bobot usus  mutlak (BUM)  dan  bobot usus  relatif (BUR).  Penelitian dilaksanakan pada tanggal 18 Desember 2012 sampai 17 Januari 2013. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Laboratorium Lapang Jurusan Peternakan, Fakultas Ilmu dan Bisnis Pertanian, Universitas Djuanda Bogor. Pemberian Neraca Kation Anion Ransum (NKAR)  yang berbeda pada  ransum perlakuan R1 (10 mEq), R2 (15 mEq), R3 (21 mEq  atau kontrol), R4 (25  mEq) dan R5 (30 mEq)  secara statisitik  tidak berpengaruh nyata (P>0,05) terhadap semua peubah penelitian. Ransum R1 memberikan hasil cenderung lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan perlakuan lain kecuali pada bobot karkas relatif (BKR), bobot jantung mutlak (BJM) dan bobot jantung relatif (BJR).

Abstract

Kualitas telur dapat diketahui dengan cara mengukur kualitas eksterior yaitu warna, bentuk telur, bobot telur sedangkan interior meliputi haugh unit (HU), yolk, dan albumen telur. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kualitas telur burung puyuh yang diberi ekstrak buah pare (Momordica Charantia L.). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di kandang peternakan Universitas Djuanda Bogor, Jl. Tol Ciawi No. 1, Kotak Pos 35 Ciawi, Bogor 16720 dari bulan Februari-Maret 2019. Ternak yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini burung puyuh (coturnix-coturnix japonica) umur 30 hari sebanyak 100 ekor. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) yang terdiri atas 4 perlakuan dan 5 ulangan. Perlakuan dalam penelitian ini RO= 0% ekstrak buah pare (Kontrol), R1= air minum dengan 2,5% ekstrak buah pare, R3= air minum dengan 7.5% ekstrak buah pare, dan R4= air minum dengan 10% ekstrak buah pare. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan Analysis of variance (ANOVA), bila data menunjukkan hasil berbeda nyata (P<0.05) dilanjutkan dengan uji Duncan. Peubah yang diamati dalam penelitian ini adalah indeks telur, bobot kerabang, tebal kerabang, warna yolk, dan haugh unit. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pemberian ekstrak buah pare pada burung puyuh tidak berpengaruh terhadap semua peubah.

Abstract

This study was aimed at estimating true metabolizable energy (TME) and crude protein (CP) intake of Kerinci Duck reared under scavenging system in Kerinci District, Province of Jambi. Twovillages (Koto Majidin [KM] and Semerap [SP]) were selected for the study where ducks were the most common livestock kept by farmers. Koto Majidin was located deed in the land, whereas Semerap was close to a natural lake. Geographically, these villages had the same climate and constituted paddyproducingareas where at the time of the study, these locations were inharvesting season. Five mature 7 to 9-month old ducks (1 male and 4 females) were selected from each location and killed late afternoon after being scavenged for 9.0 (KM) to 11.5 hours (Semerap) for gizzard sampling. The results showedthat based on proximate analysis of gizzard contents and corrections made on scavenging time, TME intake by ducks in KM was not different from that in SP (618 vs. 996 kcal/kg), but CP intake was less in KM (3.90 vs. 7.28; P ≤ 0.01). Relative weights of gizzards of ducks were comparable in the twolocations. Thus, difference in body weight (1,352 [KM] vs. 1,579 kg [SP]; P ≤ 0.01) was likely in part influenced by different absolute weight of gizzard (55.6 vs. 78.0 g; P ≤ 0.01) and its contents (10.60 vs. 18.03 g; P ≤ 0.01). Scavenged feeds, which were similar in both locations, composed of grits, paddy,snails, and other unidentified ingredients. This study suggested that ducks scavenged feed in KM and SP had not got sufficient energy and protein for optimum production. Under the presencecircumstances, at least additional 20 g of feed composing of energy and protein source is required to meetnutrient requirements of a duck.

Abstract

Kelinci berpotensi sebagai alternatif sumber protein hewani. Daging kelinci mengandung protein tinggi dan kandungan lemak yang rendah dibandingkan dengan daging ternak lain. Saat ini, informasi terkait performa karkas kelinci Rex dan lokal masih sangat kurang. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Cibanteng Gunung Letik, Kampung Pabuaran Sawah, Kabupaten Bogor. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mangetahui performa non  karkas, pada kelinci lokal.Kelinci yang digunakan sejumlah 20 ekor kelinci lokal jantan dengan bobot rata-rata 1,655 kg.  Kandang yang digunakan adalah kandang individu dengan ukuran panjang 0.56 m, lebar 0.45 m dan tinggi 0.45 m. Pemberian pakan dibagi menjadi 4 perlakuan yaitu (P0) 65% hijauan + 35% konsentrat, (P1) : 62% hijauan n+3% tepung daun sirsak + 35% konsentrat,  (P2): 65% hijauan + 32% konsentrat +3% zeolit, (P3) :62% hijauan +3% tepung daun sirsak + 32% konsentrat + 3% zeolit. Analisis statistik yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah Rancangan  Acak Lengkap  dengan 4 perlakuan dan 5 ulangan. Analisis data menggunakan program SPSS 20.0. Pada hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemberian daun sirsak dan zeolit pada ransum kelinci lokal tidak mempengaruhi bobot non karkas.KATA KUNCI: kelinci lokal, daun sirsak, zeolit , kualitas non karkas CHARACTERISTIC NON CARCASS OF RABBIT WHICH GIVEN SOURSOP LEAF MEAL AND ZEOLITABSTRACTThe aim of this research was to identify characteristic non carcass of rabbit which given soursop leaf meal and zeolit.  This Research was conducted on 15 May – 11 Juni 2014 at Gunung Leutik, Cibanteng Village Bogor.  This research used 20 male rabbit with avarage weight 1,655 Kg. The cage of this research used individual cage. This research used Randomize Complete Design (RCD) with 4 treatments and 5 ripitation.  Analyzed data used SPSS 20.0 programe.  The treatments of this research was (PO) 65% grass + 35% concentrate, (P1) (62% grass + 3% soursop leaf meal) +35% concentarte, (P2) 65% grass + (32% concertrate + 3% zeolit), (P3) (62% grass +3% soursop leaf meal) + (32% concentrate + 3% zeolit).  The result of this research showed field treatment for local rabbit made not influenced to weigth of non carcass.

Abstract

Quail eggs are a source of animal protein that the public can consume. In addition to the low price, eggs also contain nutrients needed by the body. So it is necessary to pay attention to the quality of the eggs before consuming them. Egg quality that can be assessed is derived from internal and external quality. The quality of the eggs is influenced by various factors, including the content of the ratio given, especially the energy-protein balance of the feed. This study aimed to assess the external and internal quality of quail eggs with different protein and energy levels. The research was carried out for 42 days in the poultry house of the Animal Husbandry Study Program, Faculty of Agriculture, Djuanda University. The feed ingredients formulated in this study as the basic ration were yellow corn, fine bran, soybean meal, fish meal, premix, DCP, CaCO3, CPO, and Cr-O. The design used was a completely randomized design (CRD) with four treatments and four replications with six quails per cage unit. The research data were analyzed by analysis of variance (ANOVA) if the data showed significantly different results (P<0.05), followed by Duncan's test. The variables observed in this study were egg weight, shell weight, percentage of eggshell weight, eggshell thickness, egg index, egg white weight, egg yolk weight, egg white weight percentage, egg yolk weight percentage, Haugh unit (HU). The results showed that the balance of energy and protein differences were not significantly different in all variables. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the quail ration with the balance of protein 17% and metabolizable energy 2800 kcal/kg has been able to maintain the internal and external quality of eggs in quail and produce standard egg quality.Keywords:  protein energi balance; egg white, yolk, haugh unit
