Abstract

Abstrak: Kesakitan yang disebabkan karena Diabetes Mellitus menjadi masalah yang harus diselesaikan. Penatalaksanaan diabetes mellitus membutuhkan penanganan secara terus menerus. Salah satu metode perawatan mandiri yang dapat membantu mengurangi komplikasi kearah diabetic foot ulcer yaitu melalui senam diabetic. Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk mencapai kemandirian perawatan lansia dengan diabetes mellitus sehingga mengurangi angka kesakitan pada lansia. Cara ini dirasa efektif untuk memperlancar sirkulasi darah pada penderita sehingga mengurangi komplikasi yang muncul. Pengabdian ini dilakukan dengan memberikan penyuluhan, pemeriksaan kesehatan dan pendampingan senam diabetic. Sasaran yang terlibat sebanyak 32 lansia di Lingkungan Karang Bedil Mataram. Peserta antusias mempraktikkan dan berkonsultasi terkait dengan perawatan pada penderita DM. Lansia juga mampu mempraktikkan secara langsung senam diabetic. Selain itu kemampuan softskill mahasiswa dapat terasah. Selanjutnya diharapkan pengabdian melalui pendekatan kader dan tokoh masyarakat setempat untuk dapat melakukan kontrol pada perawatan mandiri lansia. Abstract: Pain caused by Diabetes Mellitus is a problem that must be solved. Management of diabetes mellitus requires continuous treatment. One of the self-care methods that can help reduce complications towards diabetic foot ulcers is through diabetic exercise. This service aims to achieve independent care for the elderly with DM so as to reduce morbidity in the elderly. This method is effective for improving blood circulation, thereby reducing complications that arise. This project is carried out by providing counseling, health checks and diabetic exercise. The targets involved were 32 elderly in Karang Bedil environment of Mataram. Participants enthusiastically practice and consult about DM treatments. The elderly are also able to directly practice diabetic exercise. In addition, students' soft skills can be honed. Furthermore, it is hoped that service through the approach of cadres and local community leaders can control the elderly self-care.

Abstract

Latar belakang: WHO merekomendasikan penggunaan obat tradisional untuk memelihara kesehatan. Sebagian besar ibu menyusui menggunakan daun katuk untuk meningkatkan produksi ASI dengan cara disayur bening, tetapi kejadian ASI kurang masih tinggi. Cara pengolahan yang kurang tepat dapat mengurangi efek manfaat daun katuk.Tujuan: Untuk menentukan pengaturan api kompor gas pada proses pembuatan dan skrining senyawa alkaloid dan steroid sayur bening daun katuk.Metode: Pembuatan dan skrining senyawa alkaloid dan steroid sayur bening daun katuk dilakukan dua kali. Pembuatan pertama, daun katuk dimasak dengan api besar dan kedua dengan api kecil. Skrining alkaloid menggunakan pereaksi Mayer dan Dragendorff, sedangkan steroid dengan pereaksi asam asetat, anhidrat, dan H2SO4 pekat.Hasil: Berdasakan hasil penelitian, sayur bening yang dimasak dengan api besar mengandung senyawa steroid, sedangkan sayur bening yang dimasak dengan api kecil mengandung senyawa alkaloid dan steroid. Perbedaan kandungan senyawa disebabkan suhu yang ditimbulkan api besar jauh lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan api kecil. Alkaloid bersifat tidak tahan panas. Senyawa alkaloid dan steroid berperan dalam meningkatkan produksi ASI. Kesimpulan: Sayur bening yang dibuat dengan api kecil memiliki kandungan senyawa alkaloid dan steroid yang berperan dalam meningkatkan produksi ASI. Oleh karena itu, disarankan memasak sayur bening dengan api kecil untuk meningkatkan produksi ASI.Saran : Bagi masyarakat untuk membuat sayur bening daun katuk menggunakan api kecil sehingga tidak merusak kandungan senyawa alkaloid dan steroid. Senyawa tersebut berperan dalam meningkatkan produksi ASI. Kata Kunci: Daun katuk, Kompor gas, Sayur Bening. ABSTRACT Background: World Health Organization recommends the use of traditional medicine to maintain health. Some breastfeeding mothers use katuk leaves to increase milk production by means of 3 vegetable dish, but the incidence of insufficient breast milk is still high. Improper processing methods can reduce the beneficial effects of katuk leaves.Purpose To know determine the setting of the gas stove fire in the process of making katuk leaf dish and screening for phytochemical compounds (alkaloids and steroids) of katuk leaf dish.Method: The manufacture and screening of alkaloids and steroids compounds in katuk leaf dish was carried out twice. The first preparation, the katuk leaves are cooked over high heat and the second is cooked over low heat. Screening for alkaloids using Mayer and Dragendorff reagents, while steroids with acetic acid, anhydrous, and concentrated H2SO4 as reagents.Results: Based on the research results, vegetable dish cooked on high heat contain steroid compounds, while vegetable dish cooked over low heat contain alkaloids and steroid compounds. The difference in compound content is due to the temperature caused by a large fire which is much higher than that of a small fire. Alkaloids are not heat resistant. Alkaloids and steroid compounds play a role in increasing the milk production.Conclusion: Vegetable dish made on low heat contain alkaloids and steroid compounds that play a role in increasing breast milk production. Therefore, it is recommended to cook vegetable dish on low heat for increasing breast milk.Suggestion for the community to make vegetable dish with katuk leaves using low heat so that it does not damage the content of alkaloids and steroid compounds. These compounds play a role in increasing the production of breast milk. Keywords: Vegetable dish, Gas stove, Katuk leaves.

Abstract

Background: Poor nutritional status is the cause of pneumonia and diarrhea in infants and toddlers. This incidence can be reduced through exclusive breastfeeding. The achievement of exclusive breastfeeding in Indonesia is still far from the national target, one of which is caused by the lack of breast milk production. In Indonesia, there are many plants that can promote breast milk, including katuk leaves, moringa leaves, young papaya fruit, wake-up, and fenugreek. The use of local plants as a breast milk facilitator must be supported by comprehensive information regarding the dosage form, dosage and duration of use, empirical benefits, and possible side effects.Objective: The aim of the study was to describe the use of local plants as breast milk carriers (galactogogue). Method: The method in this research is quantitative. This research was conducted in Terong Tawah Village, Labuapi District, West Lombok Regency in April 2021. The sample in this study were all mothers who had babies aged 0-2 years, as many as 123 people. The instrument in this study used a questionnaire made on google form. The research was conducted by sending a questionnaire via WhatsApp message. The data obtained were analyzed by univariate. Results: The results showed that the plants used to facilitate breastfeeding by the community were katuk leaves, moringa leaves, turi leaves, and spinach. These plants are processed by clear vegetable.Conclusion: Plants used by the community are scientifically proven to increase breast milk production. Further research needs to be done, one of which is about processing clear vegetables.Suggestion there is a need for further research on how to process clear vegetables so that they have the maximum effect. Keywords: Breast milk, Galaktogogue, Clear Vegetable, Plants. ABSTRAK Latar belakang: Status gizi kurang merupakan penyebab kejadian pneumonia dan diare pada bayi dan Balita.  Kejadian ini dapat diturunkan melalui pemberian ASI eksklusif. Capaian ASI eksklusif di Indonesia masih jauh dari target nasional, salah satunya disebabkan oleh produksi ASI kurang. Di Indonesia terdapat banyak tanaman yang dapat melancarkan ASI, diantaranya daun katuk, daun kelor, buah papaya muda, bangun-bangun, dan klabet. Penggunaan tanaman lokal sebagai pelancar ASI harus didukung informasi yang komprehensif terkait bentuk sediaan, dosis, lama penggunaan, manfaat empiris, dan kemungkinan efek samping.Tujuan: Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran pemanfaatan tanaman lokal sebagai pelancar ASI (galaktogogue).Metode: Metode dalam penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Desa Terong Tawah, Kecamatan Labuapi, Kabupaten Lombok Barat pada bulan April  2021. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah semua ibu yang memiliki bayi usia 0-2 tahun, yaitu sebanyak 123 orang. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini menggunakan kuesioner yang dibuat pada google form. Penelitian dilakukan dengan mengirimkan kuesioner melalui pesan whatsApp. Data  yang diperoleh dianalisis secara univariat .Hasil: Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tanaman yang dimanfaatkan untuk memperlancar ASI oleh masyarakat adalah daun katuk, daun kelor, daun turi,dan bayam.  Tanaman tersebut diolah dengan cara disayur bening.Kesimpulan: Tanaman yang digunakan masyarakat terbukti dapat memperlancar ASI.Saran perlu adanya penelitian lanjutan, salah satunya tentang cara pengolahan sayur bening sehingga menimbulkan efek maksimal. Kata Kunci: ASI, Galaktogogue, Sayur Bening,Tanaman.

Abstract

Exclusive breastfeeding can reduce infant mortality in Indonesia. Lack of breastfeeding is one of the causes of the low achievement of exclusive breastfeeding. Sauropus androgynus (L.) Merr (katuk) leaves are believed to increase milk production. Most people process katuk leaves to make vegetable soup, while improper processing methods can reduce the beneficial effects. This study aimed to analyze the effect of katuk leaf soup consumption on breast milk production. The subjects in the study were postpartum mothers and their babies from October to November 2021 at the PONED Health Center in West Lombok regency who met the sample criteria. This research is a randomized controlled trial. The sample used is 32 respondents. Katuk clear soup was given to the intervention group and Asifit to the control group. The data collected was processed by a nonparametric test. The analysis showed no difference in katuk clear soup and Asifit on breast milk production (p=0.105). Therefore, breast milk production increased due to katuk clear soup and Asifit made from katuk leaves. This research concludes that katuk leaves are proven to increase breast milk production. Therefore, katuk leaf vegetables can be used as an effort to increase breast milk.

Abstract

Pendahuluan: Hingga saat ini, diare masih menjadi masalah kesehatan di dunia terutama di negara berkembang. World Health Organization (WHO) memaparkan bahwa penyebab kematian pada bayi dan balita yaitu diare dengan menduduki urutan kedua setelah kematian neonates (WHO, 2011). Data Riset Kesehatan Dasar (Riskesdas) Balitbangkes tahun 2018 menunjukkan prevalensi diare pada balita yaitu sebesar 12,3%. Riskesdas juga mencantumkan bahwa penyebab terbanyak kematian bayi adalah diare (31,4%). Proporsi terbesar penderita pada balita menurut survei morbiditas diare tahun 2010 yaitu kelompok usia 6-11 bulan yaitu sebesar 21,65% (Kemenkes, 2011).Metode: Penelitian ini berupa literature review yang mencoba menggali pengaruh pemberian daun jambu biji sebagai upaya mencegah diare akut pada balita. Hasil dan Pembahasan: beberapa literature yang telah dikaji menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh pemberian daun jambu biji sebagai pencegahan diare akut pada balita Kesimpulan: tanaman jambu biji terutama daunnya memiliki efektivitas yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan beberapa tanaman lain yang digunakan sebagai anti diare.

Abstract

ABSTRAKAngka kematian bayi di Indonesia masih tinggi terutama karena faktor nutrisi, yaitu pneumonia dan diare. Penyebab ini bisa dicegah melalui pemberian ASI eksklusif. Capaian ASI eksklusif di Indonesia masih rendah karena masih tingginya kejadian produksi ASI kurang. Di Indonesia terdapat banyak tanaman yang dapat digunakan untuk meningkatkan produksi ASI. Salah satunya adalah daun katuk. Sebagian besar masyarakat menggunakan daun katuk untuk meningkatkan produksi ASI dengan cara dibuat menjadi sayur bening, tetapi kejadian ASI kurang masih tinggi. Tujuan: untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan ibu hamil tentang pembuatan sayur bening daun katuk sebagai upaya meningkatkan produksi ASI. Metode: penyuluhan, diskusi, tanya jawab, serta pretest dan posttest. Hasil: terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan ibu hamil yang mempunyai pengetahuan baik sebesar 25%, yaitu dari 67,9% meningkat menjadi 92,9%. Kesimpulan: terdapat peningkatan pengetahuan ibu hamil tentang pembuatan sayur bening daun katuk sebagai upaya meningkatkan produksi ASI setelah mendapatkan penyuluhan kesehatan. Kata kunci: daun katuk; pendidikan kesehatan; produksi ASI ABSTRACTThe infant mortality rate in Indonesia is still high, mainly due to nutritional factors, namely pneumonia and diarrhea. Result: there is an increase in knowledge of pregnant women who have good knowledge by 25%, namely from 67.9% increased to 92.9%. Abstract

Infant and toddler mortality rates are still high in Indonesia. The high mortality rate in Indonesia is caused by nutritional factors. Exclusive breastfeeding is able to reduce infant mortality, but the achievement of exclusive breastfeeding is still below the scope. Insufficient milk production is one of the causes of the low achievement of exclusive breastfeeding. In Indonesia, there are many plants that can promote breast milk, but cases of insufficient milk production are still high. The use of local plants as breast milk stimulants must be supported by comprehensive information so that they have a beneficial effect. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct health education on the use of local plants as breast milk promoters. The activity of providing health education on the use of local plants as an effort to increase breast milk production was carried out in Terong Tawah Village, Labuapi District, West Lombok Regency on November 8, 2021 and was attended by 09 respondents. The results of the participants' pretest and posttest showed an increase in knowledge about the use of local plants as an effort to increase breast milk production. After this community service activity, it is expected that pregnant women, especially pregnant women in the third trimester, can begin to apply all the material obtained about the use of local plants as breast milk, as an effort to prepare for breastfeeding.

Abstract

Stunting is a short and very short body condition that exceeds the deficit of -2 SD belowthe median length or height. Stunting can be diagnosed through the anthropometricindex of height for age which reflects the linear growth achieved in pre and post deliverywith an indication of long-term malnutrition, resulting from inadequate nutrition.Indonesia is still high and is a health problem that must be addressed. Indonesia is in the5th highest rank with the prevalence of stunting children. After India, China, Nigeria andPakistan. The prevalence of stunting in NTB Province is 37.2%, higher than the nationalaverage of 29.6%. That number also increased when compared with the year. 2016which amounted to 29.9% or an increase of 7.29%. For the highest prevalence of stuntingin Sumbawa Regency, namely 41.9% followed by Central Lombok 39.9%, Dompu 38.3%,Mataram City 37.8%, North Lombok 37.6%, Bima 36.6%, Bima City 36 , 3%, West Lombok36.1% and East Lombok 35.1%. Stunting is a linear growth that fails to reach its geneticpotential as a result of poor diet and infectious diseases. In this service activity themethod used is health education about the causes of stunting. Health educationactivities on the factors causing stunting as an effort to increase knowledge of thefactors causing stunting, which were carried out in Geguntur Village, Sekarbela District,Mataram City on May 30, 2022, were attended by 35 mothers. The results of theparticipants' pretest and posttest showed an increase in knowledge about healtheducation on the factors that cause stunting. After this community service activity, it ishoped that the mother's attitude is also positive regarding the factors that causestunting and can apply it in daily life so that stunting events can be prevented early.

Abstract

Latar belakang: Angka kematian merupakan salah satu indikator kesehatan yang penting dan mencerminkan derajat kesehatan di suatu wilayah. Angka Kematian Bayi (AKB) di Indonesia masih tinggi Angka kematian bayi sebagian besar disebabkan oleh faktor nutrisi. Beberapa penyakit yang timbul akibat malnutrisi antara lain pneumonia, diare, dan perinatal. Pemberian Air Susu Ibu (ASI) eksklusif mampu menurunkan angka kesakitan dan kematian bayi. Alasan yang paling sering ditemukan pada ibu menyusui yang menghentikan pemberian ASI yaitu karena produksi ASI yang kurang. Pemanfaatan tanaman/sayuran yang berfungsi sebagai  galaktogogue dapat digunakan sebagai alternatif untuk meningkatkan  produksi  ASI. Daun kelor merupakan salah satu tanaman yang sering digunakan masyarakat untuk meningkatkan produksi ASI.Tujuan: Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu mengidentifikasi kandungan alkaloid dan steroid pada daun kelor sebagai upaya untuk melancarkan produksi ASI.Metode: Metode dalam penelitian ini yaitu melakukan uji laboratorium  pada daun kelor segar berwarna hijau muda sampai hijau agak tua sebanyak 100 gram. Skrining alkaloid menggunakan pereaksi Mayer dan Dragendorff, sedangkan steroid dengan pereaksi asam asetat, anhidrat, dan H2SO4 pekat.Hasil: Hasil penelitian didapatkan daun kelor (Moringa oleifera) menunjukkan terdapat kandungan senyawa alkaloid dan steroid.Simpulan: Pemanfaatan daun kelor merupakan salah satu alternatif yang dapat digunakan untuk mengatasi masalah produksi ASI yang kurang, selain murah dan mudah didapatkan.Saran: Peneliti selanjutnya disarankan dapat melakukan penelitian terkait inovasi pengembangan pengolahan daun kelor terhadap kelancaran ASI yang langsung diaplikasikan pada ibu-ibu menyusui untuk mencegah kegagalan pemberian ASI eksklusif karena produksi ASI kurang. Kata Kunci: Daun kelor, Alkaloid dan Steroid ABSTRACT Background: The mortality rate is an important health indicator and reflects the degree of health in an area. Utilization of plants/vegetables that function as galactogogue can be used as an alternative to increase milk production. Moringa leaves are one of the plants that people often use to increase milk production.Purpose:The purpose of this study was to identify the alkaloid and steroid content in Moringa leaves as an effort to expedite milk production.Method: The method in this study namelyu did a laboratory test on fresh colored moringa leavesgreenyoung to slightly dark green as much as 100 grams. Alkaloid screening used Mayer's and Dragendorff's reagents, while steroids used acetic acid, anhydrous and concentrated H2SO4 reagents.Results: The results showed that the leaves of Moringa (Moringa oleifera) showed the presence of alkaloid and steroid compounds.Conclusion:Utilization of Moringa leaves is an alternative that can be used to overcome the problem of insufficient milk production, besides being cheap and easy to obtain.Suggestions:Further researchers are advised to conduct research related to the innovation of developing moringa leaf processing for the smoothness of breast milk which is directly applied to breastfeeding mothers to prevent failure of exclusive breastfeeding due to insufficient milk production. Keywords: Moringa leaves, Alkaloids and Steroids

Abstract

ABSTRAKMasa bayi sering dipandang sebagai masa yang membutuhkan peran orang tua untuk menyatukan tumbuh kembang anak. Dalam laporan RISKESDAS 2018 balita gizi kurang di Indonesia tercatat sebesar 17.7%  masih dibawah taret RJPMN yaitu 17%. Masalah tersebut muncul bukan hanya karena kekurangan pangan namun bisa dari faktor lain seperti pemberian MP-ASI yang tidak adekuat tidak sesuai dengan kebutuhan gizi yang ada diusianya dan penyapihan dini. Tidak banyak ibu yang mengetahui cara pemberian gizi seimbang melalui MP-ASI, sehingga berdampak pada masalah pemenuhan gizi pada balita yang dapat menghambat pertumbuhan dan perkembangan anak. Tujuan dari pengabdian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan ibu tentang pemberian MP-ASI yang tepat untuk memberikan gizi yang tepat pada bayi. Metode: penyuluhan, diskusi, tanya jawab, serta pretest dan posttest. Hasil:terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan ibu balita yang memiliki pengetahuan baik sebesar 33,4% yaitu dari 41,6% meningkat menjadi 75%, Kesimpulan: terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan ibu tentang makanan pendamping ASI (MPASI)yang tepat sebagai upaya pencegahan gizi buruk setelah diberikan penyuluhan Peserta yang hadir dengan antusias mengikuti kegiatan tersebut. Ibu banyak bertanya, terutama bagaimana membuat MPASI. Kata kunci: gizi buruk; MP-ASI; bayi ABSTRACTInfancy is often seen as a period that requires the role of parents to unify the child's growth and development. In the 2018 RISKESDAS report, malnutrition in Indonesia was recorded at 17.7%, still below the RJPMN target of 17%. This problem arises not only because of food shortages but can also be caused by other factors such as inadequate complementary feeding, not in accordance with the nutritional needs of their age and early weaning. Not many mothers know how to provide balanced nutrition through MP-ASI, so that it has an impact on nutritional fulfillment problems in toddlers which can hinder children's growth and development. The purpose of this service is to increase mother's knowledge about giving proper MP-ASI to provide proper nutrition to babies. Methods: counseling, discussion, question and answer, and pretest and posttest. Result: there was an increase in the knowledge of mothers who had good knowledge of 33.4%, from 41.6% increased to 75%, Conclusion: there was an increase in mother's knowledge about appropriate complementary foods for ASI (MPASI) as an effort to prevent malnutrition after being given counseling The participants who attended enthusiastically took part in the activity.
