Abstract

Abstrak: Proses Penerapan Nilai-nilai Nasionalisme oleh mahasiswa dalam proses pembelajaran maupun pada aktifitas keseharian di Universitas Muhammadiyah Mataram seringkali terkesan dikesampingkan. Mengingat kurangnya kesadaran mahasiswa terhadap nilai moral dan nasionalisme, seperti tidak mentaati peraturan kampus, tidak menghargai teman yang berbeda suku serta menggunakan bahasa daerah di dalam kelas disaat proses pembelajaran berlangsung. Pendidikan memegang peranan yang sangat penting dalam menumbuhkan kesadaran kebangsaan atau nasionalisme pada bangsa Indonesia. Peneliti menawarkan gagasan baru dengan memberikan project kepada mahasiswa, harapannya project tersebut akan terus bisa memotivasi mahasiswa untuk menumbuhkan sikap dan perilaku nasionalisme dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Menggunakan interview, dan recording sebagai alat pengumpulan data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan internalisasi nilai-nilai nasionalisme mahasiswa melalui pilot project pada mata kuliah pendidikan kewaganegaraan cukup efektif, karena penanaman nilai-nilai ini secara serius dan intens akan berdampak pada perubahan pola fikir yang nantinya akan merubah pola perilaku secara perlahan dan berkesinambungan. Ada beberapa hal yang masih harus dikuatkan oleh lembaga pendidikan, terutama dosen dan guru berkaitan dengan penghargaan terhadap penggunaan bahasa nasional dalam lembaga formal maupun pertemuan formal. Supaya isu suku dan primordialisme bisa diminimalisir serta tujuan dari penggunaan Bahasa Nasional sebagai bahasa perekat anak bangsa yang berbeda suku dan bahasa bisa terwujud.Abstract:  The process of applying the values of nationalism by students in the learning process and daily activities at the University of Muhammadiyah Mataram often seems sidelined. Given the lack of awareness of students to moral values and nationalism, such as not obeying campus rules, not respecting friends of different tribes, and using regional languages in the classroom during the learning process. Education plays a very important role in fostering national awareness or nationalism in the Indonesian nation. Researchers offer new ideas by providing projects to students, the hope is that the project will continue to motivate students to foster nationalism attitudes and behaviors in everyday life. This research was conducted with a descriptive qualitative approach. Use interviews, and recording as data collection tools. The results showed that the internalization of the values of student nationalism through pilot projects in state education courses is quite effective, because the cultivation of these values seriously and intensely will have an impact on changes in mindset that will change behavior patterns slowly and continuously. Several things must still be strengthened by educational institutions, especially lecturers and teachers related to the appreciation of the use of national languages in formal institutions and formal meetings. So that the issue of ethnicity and primordialism can be minimized and the purpose of the use of the National Language as the adhesive language of children of different tribes and languages can be realized.

Abstract

Abstract: Punctuation is set of mark used in writing to clarify the meaning and to separate the sentences, word and part of word. The using of punctuation is considered as the important aspect in productive writing skill. Therefore, it was important students to master it. The purpose of this study is to find out the students’ errors in using punctuation in descriptive text made by second year students of SMPN 3 Wera in academic year 2017/018. The subject of this study is students’ from second year in SMPN 3 Wera. The mixed method qualitative and quantitative used in this study. The study applied purposive sampling. The researcher took 21 students as a sample at a class. In collecting the data, this study used observation and writing test as the research instrument then followed by analyzing the data using formula. This study found that were two kinds of punctuation and two types of errors (period, comma, omission and addition) which classified, there are 42 errors that occurs made by the students which consist of 11 or 26% students made errors in period, 15 or 36% errors of comma, 4 or 10% errors of addition and 12 or 28% errors of omission. The dominant errors showed by the students in form of comma which 15 or 36% errors. Based on the result of this study, the researcher concluded that the students still made many errors in using punctuation

Abstract

Abstract: Pop Up Book is the role of media is very important in the learning process. The presence of the Pop Up book media can support the learning process, facilitate students in understanding the learning material. This research was aimed to improve reading through Pop Up Book media the seventh grade students of SMP N 3 Alas Barat. The research belongs to collaborative action research which created a collaboration between the teacher of the seventh grade. The subject of this research was the seventh grade student of SMP N 3 Alas Barat which consists of 14 male students and 10 female students. The technique of collecting data was test, observation, and documentation. The technique of data analysis was descriptive, both quantitative and qualitative. The result of this research shows that there is an improvement of reading of the students of seventh grade in SMP N 3Alas Barat after using Pop Up Book as the media i.e. the average score from the average score at 65 before treatment (Pre-Action), it became 72 after the first cycle and reached 83 at the second cycle. The number of percentage was also increased from 36% before treatment (Pre-Action) became 64% at the first cycle and 96% at the second cycle. Besides, based on the observation, the students and their teacher also had an improvement in each cycle. The students are more active in learning process for each cycle.
