Abstract

Abstrak: Pernikahan dini masih menjadi masalah yang cukup pelik di masyarakat dan dunia pendidikan, terlebih ketika kegiatan pembelajaran terjeda karena merebaknya pandemi Covid-19. Meski tidak terjadi lonjakan tajam, tetapi peningkatan jumlah pernikahan anak usia dini merupakan indikasi bahwa kasus ini masih menjadi polemik yang cukup sulit ditekan. Menjadi sedikit lebih sulit ditangani di Pulau Lombok, karena berbenturan dengan adat istiadat yang berlaku di tengah masyarakat. Pengabdian masyarakat yang dilakukan bertujuan untuk membantu pemerintah Desa Perina Kecamatan Jonggat Kabupaten Lombok Tengah menyusun dan membuat awiq-awiq dise sebagai salah satu upaya menekan angka pernikahan dini. Kegiatan dalam bentuk pendampingan langsung dengan mitra strategis pemerintah Desa Perina beserta perwakilan berbagai elemen masyarakat yang berjumlah 35 orang. Hasil akhir pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah tersusunnya awiq-awiq dise tentang Pencegahan Pernikahan Dini di Desa Perina. Abstract:  Early marriage is still a fairly complicated problem in society and the world of education, especially when learning activities are paused due to the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic. Although there was no sharp rising, the increase in the number of early child marriages is an indication that this case is still a polemic that is quite difficult to be pressed. It becomes a little more difficult to solve on the island of Lombok, because it crash with the existing customs in the community. The community service carried out aims to help the Perina village government, Jonggat district, Central Lombok regency, compose and make awiq-awiq dise (local law) as an effort to reduce the number of early marriages. Activities in the form of direct assistance with strategic partners of the Perina village government along with representatives of various elements of society, totaling 35 people. The final result of this community service is the compilation of awiq-awiq dise dissemination on the Prevention of Early Marriage in Perina Village.

Abstract

Abstrak: Pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memperkuat kapasitas jurnalis warga dalam menulis dan diseminasi data dan informasi pembanguan melalui platform SID (Sistem Informasi Desa). Kegiatan berjalan lancar di aula kantor Desa Pengenjek selama 2 hari dengan peserta aktif sebanyak 22 orang. Pelaksanaan kegiatan menggambarkan bahwa (1) platform SID bagus digunakan pemerintah Desa Pengenjek untuk mempermudah kerja administrasi, pelayanan publik dan diseminasi data dan informasi pembangunan; (2) diseminasi data dan informasi pembangunan belum maksimal, infrastruktur SID terbatas dan kapasitas SDM belum memadai; (3); jurnalis warga membutuhkan peningkatan kapasitas seara berkala; (4) pemerintah desa dapat terus membina kerjasama dengan lembaga pendidikan tinggi dan lembaga lain yang berkontribusi positif pada pengembangan diseminasi data dan informasi pembangunan dan (5) pemerintah Desa Pengenjek terbuka terhadap kegiatan konstruktif untuk pengembangan mutu pembangunan desa dan masyarakat. Agar menjadi lebih baik dan maksimal, maka aktivitas jurnalis warga harus dilengkapi desain kegiatan, diberikan peningkatan kapasitas secara berkala, memberlakukan control system, melengkapi infrastruktur SID dan memberlakukan reward berbasis kinerja.Abstract:  This community service aims to strengthen the capacity of citizen journalists in writing and disseminating development data and information through the SID (Village Information System) platform. The activity ran smoothly in the Pengenjek Village office hall for 2 days with 22 active participants. The implementation of the activities illustrates that (1) the SID platform is good for the Pengenjek Village government to facilitate administrative work, public services and dissemination of development data and information; (2) dissemination of development data and information has not been maximized, SID infrastructure is limited and human resource capacity is not sufficient; (3); citizen journalists need regular capacity building; (4) the village government can continue to foster cooperation with higher education institutions and other institutions that contribute positively to the development of dissemination of development data and information and (5) the village government of Pengenjek is open to constructive activities for the development of the quality of village and community development. In order to be better and more optimal, the activities of citizen journalists must be equipped with activity designs, be given regular capacity building, enforce a control system, complete the SID infrastructure and apply performance-based rewards.

Abstract

Abstrak: Pantai Pink memiliki hamparan pasir putih lembut yang berwarna pink diakibatkan pecahan terumbu karang yang berwarna merah bercampur dengan pasir yang berwarna putih. Tujuan program PKM ini adalah untuk memberikan pendampingan dan pelatihan bahasa Inggris untuk para penjual di Pantai Pink desa Sekaroh kecamatan Jorowaru kabupaten Lombok Barat provinsi Nusa Tenggara Barat yang mengalami kesulitan ketika berkomunikasi dengan pengunjung asing yang tidak bisa berbicara dalam bahasa Indonesia. Metode yang digunakan adalah pelatihan dan pendampingan. Hasil program PKM menunjukan bahwa pendampingan dan pelatihan berdampak positif untuk para penjual yang ada di Pantai Pink lebih khususnya berkaitan dengan ungkapan-ungkapan bahasa Inggris yang digunakan untuk transaksi jual beli.Abstract:  Pink beach has soft white sand that is pink in color due to red coral fragments mixed with white sand. The purpose of this community service program is to provide assistance and English language training for sellers at Pink Beach, Sekaroh village, Jorowaru sub-district, West Lombok regency, West Nusa Tenggara province, who have difficulty communicating with foreign visitors who cannot speak Indonesian. The method used is training and mentoring. The results of the community service program show that mentoring and training have a positive impact on sellers on Pink Beach, more specifically with regard to English expressions used for buying and selling transactions.

Abstract

The study aimed at exploring students’ perception of implementing problem-based learning with blended learning in EFL academic reading. Quantitative and qualitative data were gained by applying a questionnaire and semi-structured interviews. The study occurred at the English Education Program at Muhammadiyah University of Mataram. The respondents involved in this research were thirty-four English foreign language (EFL) students who are joining an academic reading course. The result showed that students have positive perceptions of the use of problem-based learning with blended learning in teaching EFL academic reading. At the same time, the respondents found barriers preventing them from utilizing problem-based learning in teaching EFL academic reading such as requiring sufficient time to complete a topic or find out the solution to a problem, needing additional fees to buy internet quota, and needing prior knowledge in applying problem-based learning. Finally, the finding gained from two types of instruments recommended that PBL with blended learning can be applied in EFL academic reading.
