Abstract

Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat ini adalah untuk memberikan motivasi, rangsangan dan latihan Bahasa Inggris bagi masyarakat kurang mampu khususnya siswa-siswi yang sedang belajar di sekolah menengah pertama dan madrasyah Ibtidaiyah serta sekolah menengah kejuruan. Khalayak sasaran strategis dari kegiatan ini adalah siswa-siswi yang ada di lingkungan Desa Kekeri Kecamatan Gunungsari Kabupaten Lombok Barat yang berjumlah 40 orang yang diambil secara acak dari semua siswa-siswi yang ada di daerah itu. Kegiatan ini melibatkan dosen dan mahasiswa Bahasa Inggris Universitas Muhammadiyah Mataram yang tergabung dalam tim penyuluhan. Materi penyuluhan meliputi cara menggunakan tata bahasa yang benar (grammar), pidato (speech), Berbicara (speaking) and Membaca (reading) sebagai bagian yang terpenting dalam pelajaran bahasa Inggris. Metode yang diterapkan dalam kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah metode gambar tentang strategi belajar bahasa Inggris menggunakan 5 materi diatas. Berdasarkan pengamatan dan tanya jawab pada saat kegiatan dilaksanakan dan setelah kegiatan dilaksanakan, siswa khalayak sasaran sangat antusias dan bersemangat dalam mengikuti semua proses kegiatan mulai dari ceramah, tanya jawab serta latihan. Bahkan setelah kegiatan dilaksanakan beberapa siswa mengungkapkan keinginannya untuk mendaftarkan diri mereka pada Universitas Muhammadiyah Mataram untuk belajar dan akan tetap menjadikan pelajaran bahasa Inggris sebagai bahasa dunia.

Abstract

The objective of this quantitative study is to investigate whether there any influence of using a picture in teaching degree of comparison or not and to know the students’ responses at the second year students of SMP Negeri 9 Mataram in academic year 2014/2015. The population of this study was taken from all the second year students. The writer chose two classes to compare by using the technique of taken sample “cluster random sampling.” The first class as the experimental class (A class) was taught by the degree of comparison through pictures. The second class as a control class ( B class) was taught without pictures. While 34 students of the experimental group and 34 students of the control group. This study used an experimental study with a quantitative method — the data collected procedure by test and questionnaire. The writer gave the pre_test, the treatment, the post_test, and the questionnaire. After collecting and calculating the data, the writer found out that the experimental class gains a high score than the control class. Based on the result, the means scores of A class was 25 while the B class was 16. Moreover it was found that the value of t_test was higher than t_table, where t_test 2, 5 ≤ t_table = 2, 0 (0, 5% or 95%). The finding showed that there any influence of using the picture in teaching comparison degrees. The picture increases students’ responses to learning degree of comparison the class and also given good influence concerning students’ skill in mastering the subject of comparison degrees. It showed by students’ responses of the data from the questionnaire that more than half of students answer yes with percentage was 73%. It means that the picture has a great contribution for students in learning comparison degrees. Therefore, it can be concluded that Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected.

Abstract

This study was aimed to analyze students’ conversation based on Grice’s maxim theory at the English department of  Muhammadiyah University of Mataram. The method of this research was qualitative. The result of this research showed that students were followed the maxim of quantity is 60 utterances, followed the maxim of quality is 16 utterances, followed the maxim of relevant is 24 utterances, and followed the maxim of manner is 6 utterances. Violated maxim of quantity is 47 utterances, violated maxim of quality is 27 utterances, violated maxim of relevant is 50 utterances and violated manner is 89 utterances. Violated maxims often happen than followed the maxims, total of violated whole the maxims are 213 and total of followed whole the maxims are 106 because the speaker and participants are come from different cultures, using informal language and their purpose in communication to maintain their social harmony.

Abstract

Selama masa pandemi covid-19, semua sektor terkena dampak tak terkecuali juga di bidang pendidikan dan pembelajaran. Telah banyak artikel yang membahas mengenai berbagai inovasi yang telah diterapkan di berbagai negaraselama masa pandemi demi tetap menjaga semangat belajar peserta didik di berbagai tingkatan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk menghasilkan peta penelitian sebelumnya melalui jurnal-jurnal yang terindeks scopus mengenai pembelajaran e-learning berbasis aplikasi moodle dari tahun 2014-2021. Penelitian ini menggunakan analisis afiliasi VOSviewer untuk memvisualisasikan dan menganalisis tren artikel dalam bentuk peta bibliometrik yang diambil dari database Scopus.Melalui VOSviewer juga dapat membuat peta publikasi, peta negara, atau peta jurnal berdasarkan jaringan kutipan bersama atau membuat peta kata kunci berdasarkan jaringan mereka. Hasilnya adalah artikel yang membahas penggunaan aplikasi pembelajaran e-learning berbasis moodle dari tahun 2019-2021 berjumlah 482, ada peningkatan secara signifikan dari tahun 2020, hal ini disebabkan karena pandemi covid-19 yang tengah melanda membuat para peneliti banyak yang menulis mengenai pembelajaran e-learning berbasis aplikasi moodle diberbagai negara sebagai bentuk dari pemanfaatan teknologi informasi dimasa pandemi yang mengalami perubahan model pembelajaran. Tentunya hal ini menjadi menarik untuk menjadi penelitian lanjutan dengan menganalisis kelebihan dan kekurangan dari pembelajaran e-learning yang digunakan di negara Indonesiasaat ini.

Abstract

The research objective was to determine the concept of a negative and positive active decision according to the law on government administration. This type of research is normative legal research, that normative legal research is research that includes research on legal principles, research on legal systematics, research on legal synchronization, legal history research, and comparative legal research. This research uses several approaches, namely legislation. -law (statute approach), Concept Approach (conceptual approach). The result of the research is that a Fiktip Decision is a decision that actually does not exist (non-being) but is considered to be there (being). Decisions that exist (being) at the level of positive law in Indonesia follow as stated in Article 1 number 9 of Law Number 51 of 2009 concerning the Second Amendment to Law Number 5 of 1986 concerning State Administrative Courts, Article 7 and Article 87 of Law Number 30 of 2014 Concerning Government Administration and Positive Functions in Law Number 30 of 2014 concerning Government Administration is not only related to Decisions, but also related to Actions, so there needs to be a change in labeling of Positive Fictional Decisions be a Positive Fictional Decision and / or Action so that it can represent the two elements contained in it

Abstract

This study aimed to assess the local economic empowerment based on halal principles in Sembalun, a village within the circumference of Rinjani, the newly-designated world geopark by UNESCO.  The descriptive qualitative method was chosen to analyze the data. The Participatory Rural Appraisal was used as an instrument to identify the expectations of the economy of local community. The study showed that local economic empowerment could be developed in several ways as follows: 1) Halal food initiative through increasing community participation and skills, involving institutions, providing intensive assistance, and increasing the role of community and institution in creating cooperation; 2) Worship facility improvement through increasing quality and maintenance of available worship facilities; 3) Services during Ramadan by improving the community and institutional capacity as well as delivering information to tourism operators and visitors; 4) Supporting facilities upgrading through increasing the numbers of water-friendly toilets both in quantity and quality; 5) Halal activities enrichment by eliminating non-halal activities and promote halal activities only; 6) Privacy leisure facilities and services provision through increasing institutional and community capacity in providing privacy leisure facilities and services as well as developing cooperation with stakeholders.

Abstract

Abstrak: Pemilihan khalayak sasaran didasarkan dari pertimbangan bahwa guru-guru memiliki kemampuan skill TOEFL yang lemah. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pelatihan peningkatan kemampuan TOEFL Bahasa Inggris pada guru-guru di pesantren Alam Sayang Ibu. Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut metode pelaksanaan kegiatan ini adalah melalui pelatihan intensif dengan perpaduan teori dan praktek serta diskusi pada kemampuan menyimak, membaca dan struktur. Kegiatan ini diikuti oleh 15 guru dari berbagai bidang ilmu. Hasil kegiatan ini menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan dan kompetensi guru terhadap test TOEFL. Hasil TOEFL test menunjukkann peningkatan nilai dari 381 menjadi 400. Peningkatan ini menunjukkan bahwa pengetahuan dan kompetensi guru pada TOEFL meningkat setelah pelatihan. Abstract: The selection of the target audience is based on the consideration that teachers have weak TOEFL skills. This activity aims to provide training to improve TOEFL English skills for teachers at the Alam Sayang Ibu Islamic boarding school. To achieve this goal, the method of implementing this activity is through intensive training with a combination of theory and practice as well as discussions on listening, reading and structure skills. This activity was attended by 15 teachers from various fields of science. The results of TOEFL test indicated improvement score from 381 to 400. This improvement showed teacher knowledge and competence on the TOEFL test after the treatment.

Abstract

Abstrak: Pantai Pink memiliki hamparan pasir putih lembut yang berwarna pink diakibatkan pecahan terumbu karang yang berwarna merah bercampur dengan pasir yang berwarna putih. Tujuan program PKM ini adalah untuk memberikan pendampingan dan pelatihan bahasa Inggris untuk para penjual di Pantai Pink desa Sekaroh kecamatan Jorowaru kabupaten Lombok Barat provinsi Nusa Tenggara Barat yang mengalami kesulitan ketika berkomunikasi dengan pengunjung asing yang tidak bisa berbicara dalam bahasa Indonesia. Metode yang digunakan adalah pelatihan dan pendampingan. Hasil program PKM menunjukan bahwa pendampingan dan pelatihan berdampak positif untuk para penjual yang ada di Pantai Pink lebih khususnya berkaitan dengan ungkapan-ungkapan bahasa Inggris yang digunakan untuk transaksi jual beli.Abstract:  Pink beach has soft white sand that is pink in color due to red coral fragments mixed with white sand. The purpose of this community service program is to provide assistance and English language training for sellers at Pink Beach, Sekaroh village, Jorowaru sub-district, West Lombok regency, West Nusa Tenggara province, who have difficulty communicating with foreign visitors who cannot speak Indonesian. The method used is training and mentoring. The results of the community service program show that mentoring and training have a positive impact on sellers on Pink Beach, more specifically with regard to English expressions used for buying and selling transactions.

Abstract

Permasalahan yang diangkat dalam penelitian ini adalah Aspek-aspekatau hal-hal apa saja yang berkaitan dengan konsep penyalahgunaan wewenang adalah, pertama; definisi wewenang, kedua; Sumber Wewenang, dan yang ketiga; pembatasan wewenang. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mendiskripsikan dan menganilisis konsep penyalahgunaan wewenang dalam perspektif hukum administrasi di Indonesia. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian terhadap konsep penyalahgunaan wewenang dalam perspektif hukum administrasi di Indonesia adalah penelitian normatif yang bertujuan untuk mencari jawaban atau pemecahan atas isu hukum. Hasil penelitian ini adalah bahwa upaya hukum yang dapat dilakukan oleh Badan dan/atau Pejabat Pemerintahan terhadap sanksi pengembalian kerugian negara adalah mengajukan permohonan pengujian ada tidak adanya unsur Penyalahgunaan Wewenang ke Pengadilan Tata Usaha Negara sesuai Pasal 20 dan 21 Undang-Undang Nomor 30 Tahun 2014 Tentang Administrasi Pemerintahan jo Peraturan Mahkamah Agung RI Nomor 4 Tahun 2015.

Abstract

This research was conducted to determine the syntactic behavior of Verbs in the Bima language. The analytical method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive method that describes data in the form of words or sentences containing verbs in the Bima language. The research locations were conducted in several villages in Bima Regency and Bima City. Data collection was carried out using introspection, listening, and speaking methods. The result of the research is that the syntax behavior of the Bima language verbs in this study is adapted to the structural environment. Data found related to how the behavior of verbs in their syntactic construction. The forms of verbs in the syntactic behavior referred to are transitive verbs and intransitive verbs. Intransitive verbs are analyzed based on whether or not there is an object that will follow the verb. If a verb can have a complete meaning without the presence of an object, it is declared as an intransitive verb. On the other hand, if a verb has a complete meaning and must be followed by an object, then it is stated as a transitive verb. In the Bima language, many transitive verbs are dominated by words with affixes. Many intransitive verbs are dominated by prefixes ka, ma, na, ta, da, di, ra and endings ku, mu, na, ta, ja, si, ro, ra, du, ni, pu, and mpa.
