Abstract

The National Education System is defined as a conscious and planned effort to create an atmosphere of learning and the learning process so that students can actively develop their potential to have spiritual strength, self-control, personality, intelligence, morality, media as well as the necessary skills needed by them, society, nation and state. Education is expected to form the Indonesian people who are able to master science and technological development required to build Indonesia. The method used in this research using regression analysis techniques model path analysis. The population in this study was carried out on grade XI students of State Senior High school in Pemalang Regency. The sampling technique in this study using cluster sampling technique. The variables in this study are independent variables which include the family environment, future orientation, while the dependent variable is the interest in continuing to the college of state senior high schools students in Pemalang. Data collection techniques using questionnaires and documentation. The research results showed that the family environment had a positive and significant effect on learning motivation. Future orientation has a positive and significant effect on learning motivation. Family environment has a positive and significant effect on interest in continuing to college through learning motivation. Future orientation has a negative and insignificant effect on interest in continuing to college through learning motivation. Learning motivation has a positive and significant effect on the interest in continuing to college.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the management role of educators and education personnel in elementary schools. This type of research is quantitative research using data collection carried out in natural conditions, accurate sources and data using interviews and documentation to obtain data in the research. The results of the research show that one of them is by developing aspects of educational personnel and supporting it by creating teacher management because this will advance the level of education in elementary schools and improve the quality of educational personnel. By forming professional educational staff, you can improve the quality of education that students receive in elementary schools.

Abstract

This research is driven by Indonesia's comparatively low performance in the 2023 PISA assessment, which indicates a significant deficiency in students' capacity to solve literacy-based mathematical problems, largely attributable to the absence of comprehensive, structured guidance. This consequently gives rise to low levels of mathematical literacy, thereby underscoring the necessity for enhanced learning methodologies. The objective of this study is to evaluate the efficacy of the Brain-Based Learning (BBL) model in enhancing students' mathematical literacy abilities in comparison to the traditional learning approach. This study employed a quasi-experimental methodology with an unequal control group design. The research subjects were 72 grade VIII students at SMPN 1 Baleendah, comprising 36 experimental group students (grade VIII K) and 36 control group students (grade VIII L). The data were obtained through mathematical literacy tests and subsequently analysed using descriptive and inferential statistics with the assistance of IBM SPSS 24.0 software. The results of the n-gain analysis indicated that the data were normally distributed with homogeneous variances. The results of the independent sample t-test indicated a statistically significant difference in the improvement of mathematical literacy skills between the two groups, with the BBL group exhibiting a greater degree of improvement than the conventional method. These findings contribute to the scientific literature on the effectiveness of the Brain-Based Learning (BBL) model in addressing low mathematical literacy in Indonesia, with statistically significant improvements. This research provides new insights into the application of brain-based learning models in the Indonesian educational context.

Abstract

Pembelajaran yang dibungkus dengan permainan bisa membangkitkan jiwa kompetitif dan daya saing peserta didik yang berimbas pada meningkatnya motivasi belajar. Hasil observasi dan wawancara menunjukkan bahwa sekitar 70 persen peserta didik kelas 8 SMP Negeri 2 Pakis memiliki minat belajar yang rendah. peneliti tertarik untuk mengimplementasikan permainan tradisional congklak sebagai upaya dalam meningkatkan minat belajar IPA pada peserta didik kelas 8 di SMP Negeri 2 Pakis. Tujuan penelitian adalah mengetahui implementasi permainan tradisional edukatif (dalam penelitian ini yaitu permainan Congklak) untuk meningkatkan minat belajar IPA (daya saing, keaktifan, motivasi) pada seluruh peserta didik kelas 8 di SMP Negeri 2 Pakis. Penelitian dilaksanakan menggunakan jenis penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi dan wawancara. Dengan alat pengumpulan data yaitu lembar observasi dan lembar wawancara. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan merupakan analisis data kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Hasil observasi menunjukkan penggunaan permainan edukatif dalam pembelajaran IPA dapat meningkatkan minat belajar dan keaktifan pesera didik dalam proses pembelajaran IPA dibandingkan dengan pembelajaran dengan metode ceramah.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menyelidiki secara menyeluruh peran dan tanggung jawab manajerial di kantor dengan menggunakan dua pendekatan utama: kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Metode kualitatif melibatkan wawancara mendalam dengan manajer dari berbagai sektor industri untuk mengidentifikasi elemen-elemen kunci dalam peran mereka, termasuk perencanaan strategis, pengambilan keputusan, kepemimpinan, pengembangan diri dan tim, serta adaptasi terhadap perubahan. Hasil dari pendekatan ini menyoroti pentingnya fleksibilitas dan proaktivitas manajer dalam menanggapi dinamika lingkungan. Pendekatan kuantitatif menggunakan survei cross-sectional yang melibatkan 385 responden, dan mengukur hubungan antara variabel-variabel manajerial dengan kinerja organisasi melalui analisis regresi linier berganda. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa efektivitas dalam perencanaan strategis, pengambilan keputusan, serta gaya kepemimpinan yang partisipatif dan transformasional berpengaruh positif secara signifikan terhadap kinerja organisasi. Implikasi praktis dari temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa organisasi perlu berinvestasi dalam pelatihan dan pengembangan keterampilan manajerial, serta mempromosikan gaya kepemimpinan yang partisipatif dan transformasional untuk meningkatkan kinerja tim dan kepuasan kerja karyawan. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi penting bagi teori dan praktik manajemen dengan menawarkan pemahaman holistik mengenai peran dan tanggung jawab manajerial.

Abstract

Semut rangrang (Oecophylla smaragdina) merupakan salah satu spesies semut yang memiliki perilaku sosial kompleks dan berperan penting dalam ekosistem. Studi mengenai karakteristik perilaku makan semut ini menjadi krusial dalam memahami dinamika interaksi mereka dengan lingkungan, termasuk pola pencarian dan konsumsi makanan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan karakteristik perilaku semut rangrang (O. smaragdina) yang hidup di habitat pohon sawo kecik (Manilkara kauki). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode ad libitum sampling yaitu mengamati seluruh aktivitas perilaku makan semut di habitat pohon sawo kecik, yang terlihat tanpa batasan tertentu berdasarkan fakta lapangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ditemukan karakteristik perilaku semut dalam mencari dan memakan makanan mulai dari semut melihat umpan, mendekati umpan makanan (jangkrik), naik ke sarang untuk memanggil koloni, koloni turun untuk mendekati umpan makanan (jangkrik), koloni mengerubungi jangkrik, mematahkan kaki jangkrik, menghisap cairan tubuh jangkrik, melepas tali yang mengikat jangkrik, membawa kaki jangkrik ke sarangnya, membawa tubuh jangkrik ke sarangnya. Pengetahuan ini tidak hanya memperkaya literatur ilmiah tentang ekologi dan etologi semut, tetapi juga dapat digunakan sebagai dasar bagi penelitian lain yang berkaitan dengan interaksi semut dengan lingkungan mereka, peran semut dalam ekosistem, serta aplikasi praktis dalam pengendalian hama dan pengelolaan lingkungan.

Abstract

This research aims to identify pests and diseases that attack cauliflower (Brassica oleracea var. botrytis) plants in Jeprono Hamlet, Karangbangun Village, Matesih District, Karanganyar. This research is important to help farmers overcome pest and disease problems that can reduce the quality and quantity of cauliflower crops. The research methods used include field surveys, direct observation, and interviews with local farmers. Data collection was carried out by documenting symptoms of pest and disease attacks on cauliflower plants using a camera, as well as recording the results of observations in the sample fields. Data analysis was carried out descriptively qualitatively to identify the dominant types of pests and diseases. The research results show that there are four main types of pests that attack cauliflower, namely aphids (aphids), tritip caterpillars (Plutella xylostella), grasshoppers, and green caterpillars. Apart from that, one main type of disease was found, namely brown spot, which was caused by the bacteria Xanthomonas campestris. These pest and disease attacks have a significant impact on the health and productivity of cauliflower plants in the study area. It is hoped that this research can contribute to the development of more effective and environmentally friendly pest and disease control techniques for cauliflower farmers in the area, and can be applied in other areas with similar conditions.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the importance of critical thinking skills in science learning in elementary schools and the need to understand the factors that may affect it, such as age, gender, and self-confidence of students. The purpose of this study is to analyse whether there is a significant influence of age, gender, and self-confidence on students' critical thinking skills. This research design uses a quantitative approach with the method of multiple discriminant analysis. The research sample consisted of 60 fourth grade students from two elementary schools that had been determined purposively. Data collection survey method were carried out through a critical thinking test and a validated self-confidence questionnaire. Data analysis used SPSS software to determine the classification pattern and contribution of each variable. The results showed that there was no significant effect of age, gender, or self-confidence on students' critical thinking ability. This finding confirms that critical thinking ability is more influenced by other factors outside of these three variables. This research contributes to illustrating that teachers should focus more on learning approaches rather than demographic factors. In the future, this result implies that actively designed and contextualised learning can play a greater role in developing critical thinking ability.

Abstract

Learning mathematics in elementary school often causes anxiety in students, which has an impact on their low self-concept and resilience in solving problems. This study aims to examine the mediating role of anxiety on the relationship between self-concept and resilience in learning mathematics in elementary school students. This study used a quantitative research type of non-experimental design survey method. The research sample consisted of 260 elementary school students in grades 3 and 4 who were purposively selected. Data were collected through a scale questionnaire of self-concept, math anxiety, and student resilience. The data analysis technique used was path analysis with the help of SmartPLS 4 software. The results showed that there was a negative relationship between self-concept and anxiety, as well as a positive relationship between self-concept and resilience. Anxiety mediates the relationship between self-concept and student resilience. This study highlight the critical role on affective factors in mathematics learning at the primary school level. The findings are significant for the development of educational interventions that emphasize strengthening self-concept and reducing anxiety to enhance students' future learning resilience.
