Abstract

Amidst viral Covid-19 emergency, the minister of education and culture has instructed the teachers or lecturers and learners to utilize the social media as online teaching-learning process. In this case, the researchers tried to find out the college learners’ reading interests through social media (WhatsApp group). This research applied a case study design in which the data sources were interview and self-report questionnaire. The result of interview showed the college learners were interests and fun, enjoy, confident. Additionally, the college learners also had much time to read, and got new experiences. The result of self-report questionnaire described almost all college learners felt happy, enthusiastic, enjoy, confident, satisfied, belonged to WhatsApp group, better communication, and also the college learners had much time to read, a great deal of information, and academic achievement. WhatsApp group has become online teaching-learning media that can raise the college learners’ reading interests amidst viral Covid-19 emergency. The educators and learners were suggested to use the social media such as WhatsApp group as online teaching-learning media during pandemic.

Abstract

USING VISUAL LITERACY THROUGH IMAGES TO MOTIVATE STUDENTS TO LEARN ENGLISH. Existing in an image-rich world, as school students currently experience, does not mean that they naturally possess right visual literacy aptitudes as when they see an object (such as a picture), they just see what they see, they do not possess a considerable capability to understand, interpret, discover a meaning from an object or information they see. For that reason, students are supposed to possess visual literacy to perform that. Given the importance of utilizing visual literacy through a picture to motivate students in learning English, the writer of this article has the initiative to carry out community service to first-grade students of MTS Qurrotul Uyun. This community service discusses the utilization of visual literacy through colored pictures as a pedagogical tool, which can provide a precious and motivating resource for the students to learn English. The result of this community service suggests that English learning through colored pictures is potential to make the MTS Qurrotul Uyun first grade students motivated in learning pronunciation, speaking, and grammar. They feel that English learning through colored pictures in the classroom is more appealing and pleasurable as the pictures can both catch their mind attention and facilitate them to learn. Moreover, the colored pictures can make the MTS Qurrotul Uyun first grade students motivated and more involved actively in English learning.

Abstract

This study was a case study of qualitative research design to know the impact of distance learning through zoom application and WhatsApp group on students’ attitude and English aptitude: A Case Study on Students of ICT due Covid-19 Outbreak. The result of the study showed that most of the students’ attitude or response to the online learning using zoom application are less interesting, interactive, effective, efficient and energetic. It was also found that many troubles with their signal, and they often got limited internet package. Zoom meeting needed much internet package to connect between lecturer and learners in one meeting. In this case, the trouble networks and limited internet also often gave impact on students’ learning process, style, and strategy to enhance their English aptitude; listening and speaking competency. Meanwhile, the lecturer took the usage of WhatsApp group by sending voice notes and materials about reading and writing. No troubled networks to download and upload the reading and writing tasks during distance teaching and learning class. It needed a little internet to get the online materials. Based on the situation, almost all participants felt interesting to join reading and writing online class. Aside from that, they could enhance their own English aptitude; reading and writing proficiency. To against the highly infectious covid-19 pandemic, the distance learning has created their physic and mental health from fear, anxiety, panic, and the outbreaks of influenza. Learning from home is one of the solution to reduce the physical contact to large number of people. Distance learning has been referred to save educational young generation from the pandemic of covid-19 outbreak.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis manajemen pendidikan berbasis pembelajaran inspiratif dan bermakna di era teknologi digital. Dimana pendidikan yang bermakna nantinya bisa memberikan inspirasi bagi peserta didik dalam dunia pendidikan di era serba digital, guna membangun suatu iklim pembelajaran yang menyenangkan, menginspirasi, bermakna serta terlaksana dengan efektif dan efiseien. Untuk mewujudkan tujuan penelitian diatas, maka peneliti memilih jenis penelitian studi pustaka dengan pendekatan filosofis atau analisis konten dengan mengumpulkan literatur terkait, baik buku, artikel dan literasi relevan lainnya sebagai sumber data. Adapun hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa dalam menjadikan iklim pembelajaran yang bersifat bermakna dan inspiratif di era digital ini, maka aspek yang paling dasar yang wajib dipahami oleh para pendidik ialah bagaimana para pendidik bisa mendorong serta menarik minat untuk menyukai serta senang terhadap kegiatan pembelajaran serta materi yang disampaikan. Untuk mewujudkan hal itu, proses pendidikan mesti dimanajerial dengan baik yaitu melalui substansi manajerial terkait inovasi pada model pembelajaran era digital, menguasai konten knowledge dan teknologi knowledge serta menjalankan evaluasi serta inovasi dalam pembelajaran dengan bantuan media digital.

Abstract

Abstract This study aims to analyze the difficulties faced by industrial engineering college students. It also investigates the way they triumph over those troubles in learning speaking. This study employed descriptive qualitative research. The subjects of this study were the freshman of industrial engineering department at University of Madura who took English course. The data were gathered from the observation, questionnaire, and document. The findings of this study confirmed that industrial Engineering students faced some problems in learning English. They were fear of making mistake, shyness, anxiety, lack confidence and lack of motivation. This study is expected to be useful for other researcher to consider their student in learning English speaking. Keywords: Industrial Engineering, Speaking English Problem

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe the development of teacher professionalism as a result of the principal's academic supervision activities. The research methodology employed is a qualitative method with a qualitative descriptive approach. Observation, interviews, and documentation studies were used as data gathering methods. Also, a qualitative analysis was performed while the activities of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion-making were in progress. The findings of this investigation suggest that school principals as supervisors have attempted to develop the potential and competence of teachers through teacher certification program activities which are attended by most teachers. The coaching program carried out by school principals for teachers consists of academic supervision activities, training (education and training), workshops, work meetings, PKG (teacher performance assessment), PKB (continuous professional assessment), technical guidance, and seminars. The outcomes of the teacher academic supervision activities carried out by the school principal show that the teacher development program activities through academic supervision activities have been progressing well. The problem preventing the principal's academic supervision from being put into effect is the learning method which is still teacher-centered so that it is monotonous and students become passive. The principal's strategy for achieving effective academic supervision is to conduct class observations and assign assignments to the teacher so that the teacher's academic abilities can be seen.

Abstract

Lembaga Mts Nahdlatul Ulum merupakan salah satu lembaga pendidikan yang memilki sistem yang komplit dalam pengolahan datanya, yang mengharuskan semua data terolah dengan baik, tersimpan dengan rapi dan mudah ditelusuri dari tempat penyimpananya apabila diperlukan. Lembaga Mts Nahdlatul Ulum merupakan salah satu lembaga pendidikan yang berada dibawah naungan Yayasan Hidayatullah yang telah berdiri sejak tahun 2009 dalam artian Mts ini masih tergolong baru. Permasalahan yang ada Di Lembaga Mts Nahdlatul ulum ini adalah proses manajemen informasi untuk layanan sekolah yang berhubungan dengan kegiatan akademik tersebut seperti manajemen data siswa, manajemen data guru, manajemen nilai siswa untuk pembuatan nilai akhir berupa raport, manajemen daftar hadir guru, manajemen keuangan sekolah dan rekap gaji guru ini masih dilakukan secara manual. Hal Ini terlihat dari penggunaan aplikasi excel, kalkulator dan catatan yang berupa file-file kertas, dengan cara menual hal tersebut dimungkinkan akan terjadi kesalahan-kesalahan baik dalam pemasukan data dan perhitungan yang agak begitu rumit, Proses–proses tersebut mempunyai kerumitan tersendiri terkait dengan fasilitas yang tersedia. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah membuat Rancang Bagun Sistem Informasi Manajemen Layanan Sekolah yang berbasis web untuk mempermudah manajemen layanan sekolah dalam penginputan data, mengurangi kemungkinan kesalahan pada proses pengelolaan data sekolah, sistem informasi manajemen ini diharapakan dapat memberikan manfaat pada Lembaga Mts Nahdlatul Ulum Tagangser Daya Kecamatan Pasean Kabupaten Pamekasan. Kata Kunci: Sistem informasi layanan sekolah

Abstract

Tujuan dari pelaksanaan sosialisasi dan pendampingan dalam pengabdian dengan judul penguatan ekonomi rakyat berbasis kearifan lokal melalui pengolahan dan pemasaran kripik ikan telah dapat menumbuhkan wawasan dan semangat peserta untuk terus berkarya dibidang kewirausahaan. Hal itu dibuktikan adanya perubahan pola pikir para pelaku UMKM, khususnya bagi pelaku kripik ikan. Dimulai dari pengupasan sisik, kepala, dan isi perut ikan yang cukup bersih,  hingga pengemasan dilengkapi dengan label dan Nomor Induk Berusaha  telah cukup menarik banyak pembeli, bahkan pamasarannya juga dilakukan melalui media sosial. Pelaku produksi kripik ikan juga telah mampu memilih bahasa promosi yang cukup menarik pembeli dengan sususan  bahasa yang lugas dan eksplisit, pemuatan informasi yang jelas terkait komposisi, masa expired jika ada, label yang menarik, serta nama produksi usaha tersebut. Para pelaku UMKM di Desa Tlesah khususnya pelaku produksi kripik ikan menyadari hadirnya media sosial sebagai wadah transaksi jual beli yang bisa mengantarkan jualan mereka banyak dikenal dan diminati oleh masyarakat luas hingga mereka merasakan banyak keuntungan.Kata kunci: Penguatan, UMKM, Pengolahan, Pemasaran, Kripik Ikan.

Abstract

Tujuan yang ingin dicapai melalui kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah memberikan wawasan dan pelatihan penggunaan media pembelajaran Prezi bagi siswa-siswi di SMA Negeri 3  Pamekasan. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat ini dengan memberikan kontribusi positif terhadap usaha peningkatan kualitas pendidikan. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilaksanakan dalam bentuk pelatihan, dan diikuti oleh siswa-siswi kelas  10 SMAN 3 Pamekasan. Diharapkan dari pengabdian ini secara umum peserta akan memahami media pembelajaran Prezi. Peserta memahami jika menguasai media pembelajaran dan dapat meningkatkan keterampilan siswa dalam membuat media melalui aplikasi prezi untuk presentasi. Berdasarkan angket motivasi diketahui bahwa peserta merasa mampu untuk menggunakan media pembelajaran berbasis teknologi Prezi untuk mengajar dan memilih Prezi untuk dijadikan media pembelajaran.

Abstract

This study sought to find effective communication stimulation methods for preschoolers with speech impairments. One preschool's 35 children, teachers, and parents were surveyed and interviewed qualitatively. Game-based learning, flashcards, and interactive technology were the most effective methods. The game-based method helps kids correlate words with real activities or objects, improving language comprehension and memory. Visual aids assist youngsters focus and prevent confusion, while learning applications and educational videos provide compelling visual and auditory stimuli to study at their own pace. The strategy also relied on teacher-parent collaboration. Parents' play-based activities at home and school intervention programs accelerated children's speech improvement. However, the study found several limitations, such as keeping short-attention-span children's attention. Overcoming these problems requires more flexible and adaptable strategy improvements. This study recommends a more structured and inclusive intervention approach that can be adjusted to each child's needs including teacher and parent training. Future study should examine how new and innovative technology affect children's language development and how home and school contexts affect it.
