Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe the development of teacher professionalism as a result of the principal's academic supervision activities. The research methodology employed is a qualitative method with a qualitative descriptive approach. Observation, interviews, and documentation studies were used as data gathering methods. Also, a qualitative analysis was performed while the activities of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion-making were in progress. The findings of this investigation suggest that school principals as supervisors have attempted to develop the potential and competence of teachers through teacher certification program activities which are attended by most teachers. The coaching program carried out by school principals for teachers consists of academic supervision activities, training (education and training), workshops, work meetings, PKG (teacher performance assessment), PKB (continuous professional assessment), technical guidance, and seminars. The outcomes of the teacher academic supervision activities carried out by the school principal show that the teacher development program activities through academic supervision activities have been progressing well. The problem preventing the principal's academic supervision from being put into effect is the learning method which is still teacher-centered so that it is monotonous and students become passive. The principal's strategy for achieving effective academic supervision is to conduct class observations and assign assignments to the teacher so that the teacher's academic abilities can be seen.

Abstract

Ketidaksesuaian antara kondisi ideal yang seharusnya dialami guru dan apa yang sesungguhnya berlangsung di dalam kelas adalah sesuatu yang perlu dikaji karena hanya dengan memahami faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi kinerja guru. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk memperoleh informasi tentang pengaruh pemberdayaan dan motivasi kerja terhadap kinerja tenaga teknisi di Madrasah Tsanawiyah. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Kabupaten Penajam Paser Utara. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survei dengan pendekatan kausalitas dengan teknik analisis jalur (fath analysis). Respondens adalah staf yang dipilih secara acak sebanyak 70 respondens. Penelitian ini menunjukkan temuan sebagai berikut: (1) Kinerja guru secara langsung dipengaruhi oleh kebebasan, (2) Motivasi kerja secara langsung meningkatkan efektivitas mengajar, (3) Pemberdayaan memiliki efek positif langsung terhadap motivasi kerja. Berdasarkan hasil temuan dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemberdayaan dan motivasi kerja berpengaruh langsung terhadap kinerja guru. Oleh karena itu pemberdayaan dan motivasi kerja harus menjadi pertimbangan dalam mengelola kinerja guru di Kabupaten Penajam Paser Utara.

Abstract

Abstract This research aims to understand the role of internalizing Ahlussunnah Waljama'ah An-Nahdliyyah values ​​in strengthening religious moderation in Islamic boarding schools in Samarinda. In the context of the development of Islam in Indonesia, religious moderation is the main focus for facing the challenges of extremism and radicalism. This research uses a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through participant observation, in-depth interviews and document analysis. The sample for this research is Islamic boarding schools that represent the diversity of Islamic traditions in Samarinda. The research results show that: 1) The concept of Ahlussunnah Waljama'ah An-nahdliyah values ​​to strengthen religious moderation includes the values ​​of a) tawasuth (moderation), b) tawazun (balance), c) i'tidal (justice), and d) tasamuh (tolerance). 2) The process of internalizing these values ​​in strengthening religious moderation consists of three stages: a) Knowledge of the values ​​of Ahlussunnah Waljama'ah An-nahdliyah and learning the yellow book, b) Instilling emotional values ​​through activities such as tourism, daily futsal, and shodakho travel, and c) Application of behavioral values ​​using habituation and example methods. 3) The impact of internalizing Ahlussunnah Waljama'ah An-nahdliyah values ​​on strengthening religious moderation includes a) state involvement, b) tolerance, c) rejection of radicalism and violence, and d) conformity with local culture. Keywords: Ahlussunnah Waljama’ah An-nahdliyah, Internalization Of Value, Religious Moderation Abstrak Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk memahami peran internalisasi nilai Ahlussunnah Waljama’ah An-Nahdliyyah di dalam memperkuat moderasi beragama di pondok pesantren di Samarinda. Dalam konteks perkembangan Islam di Indonesia, moderasi beragama menjadi fokus utama untuk menghadapi tantangan ekstremisme dan radikalisme. Penelitian dalam artikel ini menggunakan suatu pendekatan yang disebut kualitatif dengan menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi partisipatif, wawancara, dan juga analisis dokumen. Sampel penelitian ini adalah pondok pesantren yang mewakili keragaman tradisi keislaman di Samarinda. Hasil penelitian memeperlihatkan mengenai: 1) Konsep suatu nilai dalam Ahlussunnah Waljama’ah An-nahdliyah untuk memperkuat moderasi beragama meliputi nilai a) tawasuth (moderasi), b) tawazun (keseimbangan), c) i'tidal (keadilan), dan d) tasamuh (toleransi). 2) Proses internalisasi nilai ini dalam penguatan moderasi beragama terdiri dari tiga tahap: a) Pengetahuan tentang nilai Ahlussunnah Waljama’ah An-nahdliyah dan pembelajaran kitab kuning, b) Penanaman nilai emosional melalui kegiatan seperti wisata, futsal harian, dan shodakho travel, dan c) pelaksanaan nilai perilaku melalui suatu metode yang disebut pembiasaan dan contoh. 3) Dampak dari internalisasi nilai Ahlussunnah Waljama’ah An-nahdliyah terhadap penguatan moderasi beragama mencakup a) keterlibatan negara, b) toleransi, c) penolakan terhadap radikalisme juga kekerasan, dan d) konformitas dengan budaya lokal. Abstract

Kebijakan pendidikan Islam yang diimplementasikan tentu merupakan hal yang kompleks, sehingga pelaksanaannya harus terus dipantau dan dievaluasi agar berjalan lancar. Adanya faktor-faktor komunikasi, sumber daya manusia, disposisi, dan struktur di dalam sekolah dapat menyebabkan implementasi kebijakan pendidikan Islam tidak berjalan lancar, termasuk di lingkungan SDN 013 Palaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis implementasi kebijakan pendidikan Islam dan strategi dalam meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan Islam di SDN 013 Palaran. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian lapangan dengan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif yang dihasilkan dari data wawancara, kemudian dianalisis dengan tahapan kondensasi data, display data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil dari penelitian ini menyatakan bahwa kebijakan pendidikan Islam di SDN 013 diimplementasikan melalui pembelajaran PAI BP berdasarkan kurikulum merdeka, yang didukung dengan program-program lainnya di luar pembelajaran. Strategi dalam meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan Islam di SDN 013 akan melibatkan seluruh civitas academica beserta orang tua siswa untuk memaksimalkan kebijakan pendidikan Islam di sekolah.

Abstract

Keberagaman di Indonesia rentan menimbulkan permusuhan, fanatisme radikal dan ekstrem, serta perpecahan dan konflik, sehingga diperlukan pemahaman keberagaman agama, budaya, dan ras, yang diajarkan dalam pendidikan keagamaan berbasis multikultural. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi implementasi kebijakan pendidikan Islam multikultural di SMPN 38 Samarinda, problematika dalam implementasi tersebut, serta strategi untuk menguatkan kebijakan pendidikan Islam multikultural di SMPN 38 Samarinda. Penelitian lapangan dilakukan dengan mencari data hasil wawancara dan observasi oleh peneliti yang kemudian dipahami secara deskriptif kualitatif. Analisis data menggunakan model Miles, Huberman, dan Saldaña dengan tahapan kondensasi data, display data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Penelitian ini menjelaskan bahwa implementasi kebijakan pendidikan Islam multikultural di SMPN 38 Samarinda terlihat dari misi dan tujuan sekolah, adanya ruang keagamaan yang dapat digunakan oleh setiap pemeluk agama, serta dilaksanakannya pembelajaran agama dari pendidik yang seagama. Problematika dalam kebijakan tersebut umumnya terkait sumber daya manusia, tidak adanya aturan tertulis, dan finansial lembaga. Strategi dalam menguatkan kebijakan pendidikan Islam multikultural di SMPN 38 Samarinda dengan memaksimalkan potensi Rohis, seleksi non akademik bagi peserta didik, dan perayaan hari besar keagamaan.

Abstract

Background. In essence, humans are the most perfect creatures among other creatures. Humans are created with a brain but they are given limitations in intelligence. Exceptional children today are better known as children with special needs. PAI learning for children with special needs requires professional educators. Purpose. The purpose of this study was to determine how the implementation of PAI learning for children with special needs at the PAUD level. Method. This research uses qualitative methods in order to find out reliable data research through surveys and in-depth interviews. Results But there are also obstacles such as the lack of professionalism of an educator in providing learning and still inadequate PAI learning books. Conclusion. It can be concluded that PAI learning for children with special needs at the PAUD level has gone well but still needs improvement and also the attention of the Ministry of Religion to provide PAI learning books.

Abstract

Public relations (PR) has a strategic role in supporting the improvement of education quality. As one of the indicators of education quality is the involvement of all stakeholders in the education process, this is where PR actively builds relationships with stakeholders. This research aims to explore and describe the role of PR in improving the quality of education at SD Islam Alam (SDIA) Al-Fatah Samarinda, focusing on the role of PR. This type of research is field research using a descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection techniques include interviews, observations, and documentation. The research subjects include the headmaster, PR staff, teachers, and parents. The results of the research show that PR has an important role in improving the quality of education at SDIA Al-Fatah Samarinda. The roles of PR include: (1) building a positive school image through various promotional and publication activities, (2) increasing parent and community involvement in school activities, (3) managing effective communication between the school and local government, and (4) appropriately handling crises and emerging issues. The implementation of effective PR strategies positively impacts increasing parental participation, student motivation, and community trust in the school. This research is expected to contribute insights into the role of PR in improving education quality, serving as a reference for other educational institutions in optimizing the role of PR.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of transformational leadership of school principals in human resource management (HR) and its impact on teacher performance through a literature review approach. Transformational leadership is understood as a leadership style that is able to inspire, motivate, and transform individuals to reach their maximum potential. This study uses literature study methods from various scientific sources, both national and international journals, which are relevant to the themes of educational leadership, human resource management, and teacher performance. The results of the study show that school principals with a transformational leadership style have a significant influence on school human resource management, especially in terms of professional development, increased work motivation, and the formation of a positive organizational culture. The impact of these leadership practices is consistently associated with increasing teacher performance in pedagogic aspects, professional competence, and loyalty to the institution. This study recommends strengthening the capacity of transformational leadership in school principals through leadership training and ongoing professional development programs.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the demands of the reform era, which emphasizes the improvement of education quality through the strategic role of the madrasah principal not only as a manager but also as a visionary leader capable of creating a conducive work environment and promoting teacher professionalism. The participatory and Islamic-oriented leadership style at the madrasah is considered to have a positive impact on teachers’ enthusiasm and sense of responsibility. This research uses a quantitative correlational approach with survey instruments to determine the extent to which leadership style influences teacher performance. The results show that the principal’s leadership style has a very significant effect on teacher performance, with a contribution of 88.5%. In comparison, the remaining 11.5% is influenced by other factors not examined in this study. These findings emphasize the crucial role of leadership style in enhancing teacher performance and the overall quality of education at madrasah.

Abstract

Human resource development (HRD) in higher education is a key element in creating educational institutions capable of adapting to global changes in the 21st-century education era. The vision of 21st-century education demands new skills, such as technological literacy, critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration, which must be integrated into the education system, including in higher education institutions. This study aims to analyze the implementation of HRD policies in higher education institutions in East Kalimantan and evaluate how these policies support the 21st-century education vision. This research employs a qualitative approach with a case study method involving several higher education institutions in East Kalimantan. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis, involving key stakeholders such as university leaders, faculty, and administrative staff. The data analysis was conducted descriptively using thematic analysis to understand the patterns and processes of HRD policy implementation. The findings indicate that the implementation of HRD policies in higher education institutions in East Kalimantan still faces various challenges, particularly regarding limited technological infrastructure and training resources. However, some universities have taken strategic steps to strengthen faculty and staff competencies through professional development programs aligned with the needs of 21st-century education. These policies have also begun to integrate digital literacy and 21st-century skills into teacher training and development. This study concludes that although the HRD policies in East Kalimantan’s higher education institutions have supported the 21st-century education vision, their implementation still requires improvement, especially in terms of relevant technology and curricula. The study also provides recommendations for policymakers to enhance the synergy between HRD and global demands in education through more comprehensive and sustainable policies.
