Abstract

ABSTRAKTujuan dari pengabdian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan masyarakat dalam penanggulangan risiko kebakaran di daerah pemukiman padat penduduk melalui pelatihan  penggunaan alat pemadam api portable. Pengabdian ini dilaksanakan di Desa Nogotirto, Gamping, Sleman. Peserta Pelatihan ini berjumlah 20 orang. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat dilaksanakan melalui 5 tahap, yaitu (1) Pelaksanaan pretest; (2) Pemberian materi melalui metode ceramah dan tanya jawab; (3) Demonstrasi penggunaan alat pemadam api portable; (4)  Praktik individu menggunakan alat pemadam api portable; (5) Pelaksanaan Posttest. Capaian peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan masyarakat diukur menggunakan kuesioner pretest dan posttest, data diolah dan diuji dengan uji paired T-test. Adapun hasil dari pengabdian ini adalah adanya peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan masyarakat dalam penanggulangan risiko kebakaran, disamping itu adanya perbedaan rata-rata tingkat pengetahuan dan keterampilan penanggulangan kebakaran sebelum dan setelah pelaksanaan kegiatan pelatihan. Kata kunci: kebakaran; pelatihan; pemadam api; portable ABSTRACTThis service aims to increase the knowledge and skills of the community in managing fire risks in densely populated residential areas through training in the use of portable fire extinguishers. This service was carried out in Nogotirto Village, Gamping, Sleman. The number of participants in this training is 20 people. Community service activities are carried out in 5 stages, namely (1) Pretest implementation; (2) Providing material using the method of lecture and question and answer; (3) Demonstration of the use of portable fire extinguishers; (4) Individual practice using portable fire extinguishers; (5) Implementation of Posttest. The achievement of increasing the knowledge and skills of the community was measured using a pretest and posttest questionnaire, the data was processed and tested using the paired T-test. The result of this service is an increase in the knowledge and skills of the community in managing fire risk in densely populated residential areas, in addition to that, there is a difference in the average level of knowledge and skills in fire management before and after the implementation of training activities. Keywords: fire; training; fire extinguisher; portable

Abstract

Beberapa problematik yang dihadapi para pengelola pendidikan tinggi pelayaran/maritim di antaranya adalah dalam pemenuhan tenaga pendidik dan pengembangannya. Dalam hal pemenuhan tenaga pendidik, Dirjen Dikti mensyaratkan minimal jenjang akademik S2 yang linear dengan S1 yang dimiliki, sementara otoritas perhubungan mewajibkan kualifikasi profesi pelaut bidang nautika dan teknika sekurang-kurangnya tingkat II (ATT-II dan/atau ANT-II). Dalam hal pengembangan karir dosen, di satu sisi sebagai dosen profesional diharuskan melaksanakan tugas-tugas pokok yang dikemas dalam kegiatan “Tri Dharma” Perguruan Tinggi (pendidikan dan pengajaran, penelitian dan pengabdian pada masyarakat serta penunjang lainnya), sementara sebagai pelaut mereka lebih memilih “melaut” selain karena komitmennya pada profesi juga tuntutan pasar kerja pelaut yang memang masih sangat tingi. Makalah ini dimaksudkan untuk memetakan pelbagai problematik tersebut dengan harapan dapat menjadi buah pemikiran bagi stakeholders yang berkecimpung pada pendidikan tinggi pelayaran. Dengan metode pendekatan empirik dipadukan dengan kajian berbagai regulasi disampaikan beberapa kondisi faktual berikut: Pertama, berdasar latar belakang pendidikan terjadi polarisasi tenaga pendidik pada diklat pelayaran, yakni pendidik pelaut dan pendidik non pelaut. Implikasinya ditemui kesulitan pada saat tenaga pendidik ini harus mengembangkan diri baik bagi dosen profesi maupun non-profesi. Implikasi lainnya lembaga mengalami kesulitan pada saat harus melakukan “recruiting” tenaga pendidik yang sekaligus memenuhi kualifikasi keduanya jenjang akademik S2/S3 sekaligus pelaut (sekurang-kurangnya ANT/ATT-II). Kedua, mendesak perlu terobosan kebijakan (extra ordinary policy) oleh otoritas negara dalam pemenuhan kualifikasi tenaga pendidik pada diklat pelayaran. Ketiga, keharusan bagi pendidik profesi pelaut maupun non profesi untuk menggali, memperdalam, mengkaji dan mengkritisi pengetahuan dan kebijakan-kebijakan terkait bidang pelayaran dan pendidikan meskipun itu di luar bidang disiplin keahliannya dalam rangka mengembangan karirnya sebagai tenaga pendidik bidang maritim/pelayaran.

Abstract

Regarding the central role of human resources both for a corporation,and for the shipping company, human resource management should receiveserious attention so that the organization can optimally perform its efforts toachieve goals. As it is known that, human resources is one of the most strategicfactors of production, the company must build a climate of staffing which shouldbe structured, comprehensive and sustainable. Abstract

The decision of East Timor to separate itself from Republic Of Indonesia and become independent on May 20th ,2002 remain an unsolved problem between the two countries. The existing problem lies in the borders between the two nations which is divided into two borders such as maritime and on-shore border. On of the on-shore border is Atambua regency in east Nusa Tenggara. Some problems which may occur in that region are drug and weapon smuggling, fuel smuggling, Passport and Visa abuse, human trafficking. This research is aimed to identify and comprehend immigration services in the borders of the two nations as well as the problems due to the law violation that may occur including the triggering motives in the borders of those two countries. The type of the research is descriptive qualitative by taking data using observation and random interview toward those living nearby the border line and toward some immigration officers in the Atambua border line. The result of the research showed that first, in fact Indonesian government had given good services as well as good supervision toward passersby in the border of the two nations, however, there were still many weaknesses due to the facilities and the quality and quantity of human resources. Second, there were still found many problems in economics, socio cultural, and politic affairs which lead to the violations toward immigration law and others conducted by both Indonesian citizens and East Timor citizen. Some of those violations were such as abuse of immigration documents, smuggling, drug abuse, and another crimes. Third, It is recommended that the cooperation and collaboration among institutions both in the center and regional level of Indonesia as well as cooperation between Indonesian government and East Timor government should be increased.

Abstract

This study examines the implications of emotional intelligence on the work performance of Yogyakarta Maritime College (STIMARYO) lecturers. The problem under study is the influence of emotional intelligence factors on Yogyakarta Maritime College lecturers' work performance. This research is a quantitative study that uses primary data as a source of data. Data were obtained from distributing questionnaires to Yogyakarta Maritime College employees. Data were analyzed using simple linear regression. The results of the study concluded that there were positive and significant factors of intelligence on the work performance of Yogyakarta Maritime College lecturers. The existence of a positive influence is known from the positive regression coefficient 0.549. Significant differences were obtained from the results of the F test and t test which obtained a significance value of 0.004 (<0.05).

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah sebagai upaya menjelaskan standar keselamatan kerja dan prosedur yang berlaku dalam bongkar muat barang di perusahaan bongkar muat serta sebagai upaya perusahaan bongkar muat dalam menanggulangi resiko-resiko pelaksanaan pekerjaan dan kecelakaan kerja. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan diskriptif kualitatif. Pelaksanaan penelitian di PT. Berkah Tata Baruna Di Pelabuhan Merak Banten. Hasil penelitian yang dapat disampaikan bahwa untuk memberikan perlindungan dan keamanan maka perusahaan bongkar muat telah memberikan standar keselamatan kerja bongkar muat serta diberikan prosedur (SOP) pada setiap operasional bongkar muat barang. Demikian juga PBM telah memberikan pentingnya pencegahan dan penanggulangan, risiko-risiko keselamatan kerja melalui penerangan, pelatihan SDM, penggunaan alat keselamatan, serta usaha - usaha unit tanggap darurat atas terjadinya kecelakaan kerja. Kesemuanya telah sesuai menurut Peraturan perundang-undangan yang berlaku, seperti UU Nomor 1 Tahun 1970, UU Nomor 13 Tahun 2003, UU Nomor 152 Tahun 2016.

Abstract

Penelitian ini berjudul “E-Marketing sebagai bentuk pemasaran darurat dalam meningkatkan minat pendaftar pada masa pandemi covid-19.” Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menemukan cara efektif bagaimana menarik perhatian pendaftar sebagai taruna baru di Sekolah Tinggi Maritim Yogyakarta dimasa pandemi Covid-19. Subyek penelitian ini adalah Taruna baru semester satu jurusan Diploma 3 Manajemen Transportasi Laut, Diploma 3 Permesinan Kapal, Diploma 3 Studi Nautika dan S1 Transportasi dikarenakan taruna tersebut masih sangat baru masuk menjadi taruna di Sekolah Tinggi Maritim Yogyakarta. Obyek Penelitian ini adalah E-Marketing, Pemasaran Darurat, Pemasaran di era Pandemi Covid-19 di Sekolah Tinggi Maritim Yogyakarta. Dari sisi perguruan tinggi sekolah maritim yang ada di Yogyakarta ini menunjukkan keunikannya dimana Yogyakarta belum mempunyai pelabuhan komersial untuk kapal-kapal cargo namun mampu mencetak lulusan di bidang kepelabuhanan dan kemaritiman. Hasil penelitian ini adalah variabel-variabel E-Marketing dan Pemasaran Darurat berpengaruh secara simultan terhadap pemasaran yang dilakukan di era Pandemi Covid-19, dimana interaksi tatap muka dibatasi. Pengaruh variabel independen yaitu e-marketing dan pemasaran darurat terhadap variabel dependen pemasaran yang dilakukan di era Pandemi Covid-19 adalah 70%. Sedangkan 30% dipengaruhi oleh variabel lain selain E-Marketing dan Pemasaran Darurat. Ini artinya eletronik marketing sangat efektif untuk menarik minat pendaftar.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the implementation of agency agreements at PT. Prima Kaltara Bahari shipping lines in representing the Owner / principal; identifying problems in the implementation of the ship agency agreement at PT. Prima Kaltara Bahari shipping lines. This research is a research with a legal approach using a qualitative approach. Furthermore, it applied a descriptive approach in its data analysis. The results showed that the agency agreement between the principal/Owner and the local shipping lines as a local agent began with the appointment of what is commonly called a Letter of Oppoinment. It is a work order from the ship's Owner to the local company agent as stipulated by Ministry Regulation Number 65 of 2019 on the Implementation and Operation of Ship Agency. The implementation of the work as stated in the Letter of Oppoinment must be carried out which includes services before the ship arrives, when the ship arrives (Clearent In) and upon departure of the ship (Clearent Out). This process applied the provisions of Article 1338 of the Civil Code that all agreements made legally and laws to those who make them. It means that the local agent, in this case, PT Prima Kaltara Bahari is bound to fulfill its obligations to the Principal / Owner abroad.

Abstract

Pelayaran adalah transportasi yang berisiko tinggi dari kecelakaan laut sehingga setiap kapal harus memenuhi syarat keselamatan pelayaran. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui fungsi penilaian dan pengawasan kelaiklautan kapal oleh KSOP Kelas IV Probolinggo. Penelitian ini adalah studi kasus pada Kantor Kesyahbandaran dan Otoritas Pelabuhan (KSOP) Kelas IV Probolinggo dalam penilaian kelaiklautan kapal sebelum penerbitan Surat Persetujuan Berlayar (SPB). Metode penelian adalah evaluatif berdasarkan regulasi keselamatan pelayaran. Sumber utama data adalah pejabat KSOP Kelas IV Probolinggo. Validasi sumber data dari operator kapal. Hasilnya: (1) Inti penilaian dan pengawasan kelaiklautan kapal dilaksanakan dalam rangka menjaga keselamatan pelayaran; (2) Penilaian dan pengawasan kelaiklautan kapal meliputi aspek fisik kapal dan aspek dokumen keselamatan pelayaran; (3) Kapal yang memenuhi aspek fisik dan dokumen keselamatan pelayaran diberikan Surat Persetujuan Berlayar, sedangkan yang tidak memenuhi dokumennya diubah sesuai realita sampai diterbitkan SPB; (4) Masih ditemukan pengawakan kapal yang kualifikasi keterampilan pelaut kurang dan kesejahteraan pelaut di bawah konvensi MLC 2006.

Abstract

This article aims to describe the fertilizer distribution process at PT Pupuk Indonesia Logistik (PT Pilog). With a descriptive-qualitative method, data were obtained by observation, documentation, and interview. The researcher interviewed two top leaders: the director of administration and finance and the director of operations, and two people at the middle level: the marketing manager and the ship management manager with two staffs. The results of the study were: 1) fertilizer as a commodity whose distribution became the monopoly of PT Pupuk Indonesia Logistik as a part of the Pupuk Indonesia Holding Company (PIHC Group). 2) the distribution pattern of fertilizer followed the policy of the relevant ministry by determining seven sea and land transportation routes according to the type of fertilizer covering all regions of Indonesia. 3) fertilizer distribution services PT. Pilog consisted of three types, namely: Port to Port Service (PTPS), from loading port to unloading destination port, Port to Door Service (PTDS), service from loading port to Line III Warehouse and Door to Door Service (DTDS), services from the factory (producer) to the place of consumers. 4) each mode of sea transportation was responsible for cargo commodities including: dry bulk, general cargo, cargo in bags, liquid gas carriers, project cargo, and other cargo with a fleet of ships belonging to PT. Pilog namely 7 Units of Bulk Carrier Vessels and 2 Units of Ammonia Vessels.
