The research reports on the Influence of Collaborative Writing Towards Student’s Descriptive Writing Ability. Collaborative writing technique was applied in this research to improve the student’s descriptive writing ability. The aims of the research were to know and to describe student’s descriptive writing ability and to know and to describe whether there is influence of Collaborative writing towards students’ descriptive writing ability. The research was conducted by using a quasi-experimental design with pre test and post test. The population of this research are the students at the first semester of the tenth class at SMA Adiguna Bandar Lampung that consisted of 49 students in 2 classes. The sample of this research were two classes, they were as control class and experimental class. Control class was taught by Individual writing while experimental class was taught by Collaborative writing. In getting the data, the writer used writing test. The result showed that based on the calculation, the writer got that = 5.54 and = 1.68 and 2.42. It means that . So, Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. From the result above, the writer states that there is significance influence of collaborative writing towards students’ descriptive writing ability of the tenth class of the first semester at SMA Adiguna Bandar Lampung.

Kegiatan Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk mengenalkan serta melatih kemampuan public speaking dan presentation skill para pegawai di PT. Tirtha Wandhira Utama. Kegiatan ini diikuti oleh 15 orang peserta. Kegiatan dilaksanakan dalam jangka waktu 1 hari dengan metode ceramah, forum group discussion dan praktik. Materi yang disajikan adalah mengenai Understanding and Basic Techniques of Public Speaking for Workers dan Effective Presentation Skill. Secara keseluruhan, kegiatan ini berjalan dengan baik dan kontributif. Para peserta mampu mengikuti keseluruhan materi yang dijelaskan. Para peserta yang juga merupakan karyawan, mendapatkan pengalaman belajar dan kesempatan di akhir kegiatan untuk mempraktikan langsung apa yang sudah dipelajari. Pelatihan pembelajaran yang menyenangkan dan efektif diharapkan bisa menjadi salah satu faktor meningkatnya skill presentation serta kemampuan public speaking bagi mereka untuk ikut berdampingan di dunia kerja yang tidak bisa dielakkan secara umum menuntut kecakapan berkomunikasi dalam bahasa inggris.

The issues examined in this research relates to the ability of students in writing letters of readers about the school environment. This research uses descriptive quantitative methods, and sampling techniques used are random class (cluster random sampling). Engineering data collection using the technique of main performance writing letters readers about the school environment. Technique of data analysis using quantitative analysis with the descriptive approach. Based on research results, gained that ability of students in writing letters of readers about the school environment belongs simply because final value shows number 67. The constraints experienced by students in writing letters of readers about the school environment i.e. students still lack understanding about the reader's letters, and the difficulty of applying aspects of mail readers. The most prominent barriers in writing letters of readers about the school environment experienced by students i.e. difficulty applying the spelling language Indonesia with good and true.

Tik tok is one of the most loved apps in the millennial era. The Tik Tok application is an application to create and share various short videos in vertical format, which is played by simply scrolling the screen up or down. Tik Tok users are increasing every day, especially during the pandemic era. In 2020, as of October Tik Tok reached 2 billion downloads worldwide. This application originating from China is widely downloaded by social media users to relieve boredom when they have to stay at home. This study aims to improve students' speaking skills through the Tik Tok application. The subjects of this study were 20 students of the third semester in English education major at STKIP PGRI Bandar Lampung. The method used is descriptive quantitative method using classroom action research techniques. Based on the result, the improvement of students’ learning activities showed mean score of students’ learning activities in pre cycle is 68.88, in cycle I was 69 with the criteria was less active. While, the mean score of students’ learning activities in cycle II was 76.75 with the criteria were quite active. So, the improvement of students’ learning activities the first cycle to the second cycle was 7.75 point. From analyzing data, it could be concluded that classroom action research by using Tik Tok App improved students’ learning activities and students’ speaking skill.

This research reports on the effectiveness of Instagram’s pictures towards the students’ essay writing skill. Instagram becomes one of the famous social media in the world, in this research Instagram is used as a medium to improve the students’ essay writing skill. The aims of the research were to know and to describe student’s essay writing skill and to know and to describe whether there is influence of Instagram’s pictures towards student’s essay writing skill. The research was conducted by using a quasi-experimental design with pretest and post-test. The population of this research are the students at the sixth semester of English education major at STKIP PGRI Bandar Lampung, that consisted of 76 students in 2 classes. The sample of this research were two classes, they were as control class and experimental class. Control class was taught by Individual writing while experimental class was taught by Instagram’s pictures. In getting the data, the writer used writing test. The result showed that based on the calculation, the writer got that = 5.92 and = 1.67 and 2.39. It means that . So, Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted.From the result above, the writer states that there is a positiveinfluence of Instagram’s pictures towards students’ essay writing skill.

Lots of students find the difficulties when they have to put their thoughts into writing. Moreover, when they need to do the proofreading and editing their own writing, this inevitably makes writing exceptionally tiring and distressing. In this study, researchers focused on a series of writing processes, especially editing and proofreading activities. The objective of this research was to find out the influence of Peer Editing online technique towards the students’ research proposal writing skill and to know and to describe whether the effectiveness of the students’ research proposal writing skill who learn through peer editing online is higher than those who learn through conventional technique. The research was conducted by using a quasi-experimental design with pretest and post-test. The population of this research are the students at the fifth semester of English education major at STKIP PGRI Bandar Lampung that consisted of 63 students in 2 classes. The sample of this research were two classes, they were as control class and experimental class. Control class was taught by Individual writing while experimental class was taught by peer editing online technique. In getting the data, the researchers used writing test. The result showed that based on the calculation, the researchers got that = 5.41 and = 2.00 and 2.66. It means that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. From the result above, the researchers state that there is an improvement and a significant influence of Peer editing online technique towards students’ research proposal writing skill.

English is a language that is loved by everyone because of its role as the language that unifies the nation. Most people in the world speak English. No wonder if everyone is competing to be able to master this language in order to communicate and absorb information from outsiders. But in fact, English is still a scourge for most students in Indonesia. Moreover, there are four English skills that the students must master, namely, reading, writing, listening and speaking. Speaking is a productive skill. For some of English learners, speaking is the main point in learning English, but on the other hand, speaking is also a very difficult skill to master. Therefore, it requires various kinds of learning methods and techniques that can improve students' speaking skills. This study aims to see the effect of the round robin technique on students' speaking skills. This technique has many positive impacts on learning speaking in the classroom. This technique also makes students more interactive and raises the confidence of students to dare to speak English in their daily lives. This research is a quantitative study conducted at STKIP PGRI Bandar Lampung. There are two classes which are used as research subjects, namely the control class and the experimental class. The experimental class received treatments from the round robin technique, while the control class used the direct method.

This study discusses theoretically - practically on language policy, language politics, language planning in Indonesia, and interculturation of Indonesian and Korean culture. The method used is a literature study by including a study of policies and politics of similar languages. The results of the study show several things regarding language policy, the official language of the state, language planning, language politics, and language defense in the world, in Indonesia since pre-independence until now, in the Republic of Korea, Indo-Korean interculturation in language.

This study aims to describe the effect of using illustrated story media and learning activities on the ability to write paragraphs of fifth grade students at SDN 2 Kotabumi Tengah. The method used in this paper uses the correlational method, meaning that data is collected after all the events in question take place. The techniques used in collecting research data are questionnaires, tests, and observations. Research data analysis techniques include requirements analysis test, statistical analysis, and research hypothesis testing techniques. The results of the study can be concluded that, (1) there is a positive and significant relationship between illustrated story media and the ability to write paragraphs, indicated by a correlation coefficient of 15.88, (2) there is a positive and significant relationship between learning activities and the ability to write paragraphs. indicated by a correlation coefficient of 13.70, (3) there is a positive and significant relationship between the influence of the use of illustrated story media and learning activities on the ability to write paragraphs which is indicated by a correlation coefficient of 16.74, (4) the interaction of students who have learning activities low grade students and taught using pictures have the highest average paragraph writing ability of 10.13.

The objectives of this research were to improve the students’ learning activity and reading comprehension by using the Reciprocal Teaching Strategy. This strategy helps students with four steps, such as predicting, questioning, clarifying, and summarizing. In this research, the writer used Classroom Action Research as the design in collecting the data. The research implementation of research was in two cycles. The sample of this research was in one class only with 27 students. The writer used an observation sheet and reading test in form of was multiple choice and consisted of 40 questions, it aimed to get the score of students’ reading comprehension and used observation sheet for the students’ learning activity. The findings of this research showed Reciprocal Teaching Strategy was successful to improve students’ learning activity and reading comprehension. It can be seen from the average score of students’ learning activity and reading comprehension. The average score of students’ learning activity was increased from the first cycle 6.66 while in the second cycle 7.67, it was from less active to active criteria. Then, it was found that the average score in cycle 1 was 67.4 or 51.85% of students who passed Minimum Mastery Criteria while in cycle 2 was 76.5 or 85.19% of students who passed Minimum Mastery Criteria. Therefore, the implementation of Reciprocal Teaching Strategy was successful to be used in improving the students’ learning activity and reading comprehension in the tenth grade of SMKN 9 Bandar Lampung in the academic year of 2022/2023.
