Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine and describe the ideological formations contained in Pramoedya Ananta Toer's Girl Beach by using Gramsci's theory of hegemony. The method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive method. Qualitative descriptive method is used to describe the ideology of the novel Gadis Pantai by Pramoedya Ananta Toer using Gramsci's hegemonic theory of analysis. Based on the results of the analysis conducted on Girl Beach by Pramoedya Ananta Toer, several ideologies were found, namely capitalism, authoritarianism, modernism, humanism, feudalism, and feminism.

Abstract

The problems raised in this study are related to social values ​​in the novel Negeri Senja by Seno Gumira Ajidarma. The research study of social values ​​in the novel Negeri Senja by Seno Gumira Ajidarma includes intrinsic elements and social values ​​in the form of the value of affection, the value of responsibility and the value of harmony in life in the form of democracy and cooperation. The approach used in this research is the sociology of literature approach. This means that something that is displayed in the work that has been studied is the content of the literary work, the goals and the things implied in the literary work itself related to social problems. The results of the study show that the novel Negeri Senja by Seno Gumira Ajidarma contains intrinsic elements and contains many social values. Classification of social values is based on social values including the value of affection, the value of responsibility and the value of harmony in life.

Abstract

Cang Icang's poem appeared since the founding of the Kayuagung area. However, in reality these poems are rarely used by the people of Kayuagung, especially the Cang Icang poem. This is because one by one the old speakers die. While the younger generation is less interested in learning and using it. The purpose of this study is to describe the inner structure contained in the old Cang-Incang poem in the oral literature of Kayuagung. The author uses a descriptive method with qualitative data aimed at describing the inner structure in the old Cang-Icang poem in Kayuagung oral literature. The techniques used to obtain and collect research data are recording techniques, listening techniques and note-taking techniques. The Cang-Incang poem is a poem consisting of four lines in each stanza, the first and second stanzas are appendices while the third and fourth stanzas are content, each stanza has a relationship between stanzas. The inner structure in Cang-Incang's poetry contains several themes including divinity and humanity, feelings in Cang-Incang's poetry where the poet's feelings are sad and happy, the tone and atmosphere of the poet tries to advise and forget the poet's mood, and the message implied in the contents of the poem. Cang-Incang advice. Cang-Incang in the oral literature of Kayuagung obtained five Cang-Incang poems from five informants, the research finding data are as follows: (1) Cang-Incang's poem "remember and surrender to God's greatness", (2) Cang-Incang's poem "quipped at a child who forgetting the love of parents", (3) Cang-Incang's poem "pours out sad feelings because he feels unloved by his mother", (4) Cang-Incang's poem "expresses feelings or desires of the heart", (5) Cang-Incang's poem "entertains yourself at work.”

Abstract

This study aims to describe social criticism in the poetry anthology "Portrait of Development" by W.S. Rendra. The social criticism studied includes social criticism of life, economic criticism, political criticism, and moral criticism. The research method uses qualitative. The primary data source in this research is the poetry anthology "Portrait of Development" by W.S. Rendra. Data collection techniques that will be used are documentation and observation. Data analysis using document content analysis. The results showed social criticism in the collection of poems "Portrait of Development" by WS. Rendra. The social critique of life is found in the poems "The Poems of the Poor" and "Jockey Tobing's Poem for Widuri," as well as in the poem "The Poem of A Corn." WS Rendra conveyed economic criticism in the poems "The Poems of the Poor" and "The Poems of the Condor Birds", "The Sun Poem", "The Poem of A Corn", and the poems "The Poem of an Old Man Under the Tree." WS Rendra conveyed political criticism in the poem "Young Children's Poems" and "Spouses of Spying". WS Rendra conveyed moral criticism in the poems "Poor People's Poems" and "Young Children's Poems", "Spouses of Spying", "The Poem of A Corn", and "The Poem of An Old Man Under a Tree."

Abstract

The skill of writing official letters in Indonesian language lessons is very important and closely related to other learning. In this study, the researchers investigate the skills of writing official letters with mastery of writing and learning motivation. Writing ability and learning motivation are independent variables, and official letter writing skills are dependent variables. In addition, this study uses quantitative research methods, where the results are in the form of numbers calculated using statistical calculations. From the study results, it was found that there was a very close relationship between writing mastery and learning motivation on the skills of writing official letters. The closeness of the relationship can be singly or jointly, where the skills of writing official letters for class VII students of MTs N 2 Bandar Lampung for the 2018/2019 academic year are improving.

Abstract

Illocutionary speech acts are often used in everyday language as humans do when speaking. The focus of this research is the use of illocutionary speech acts in advertising language on television stations, analysis and interpretation of illocutionary speech acts and utterances in each illocutionary speech act, as well as food and drink advertisements on Trans Tv. This research approach is qualitative, and the type of speech act research is assertive. The data collection method for this research is by listening to and recording spoken conversations in written language research video advertisements for food and drinks. The research results found that there were 40 pieces of data including assertive type illocutionary speech acts.
