Abstract

This research was conducted to determine the location of potential aid depot at the time of the annual flood disasters in Gresik Regency. Determination of the location of potential aid depot is applied using mathematical models and involving BPBD of East Java and BPBD Gresik. Linear programming is applied and solved using solver excel software. The constraint of this mathematical model made are time constraint, the number of vehicles, dan the amount of potential aid depot. The function of the purpose of mathematical model is abaout handling maximize the number of victims dan minimized the total time of delivery relief. The result of research shows that to determine the location of potential assistance or post depot influenced by some obstacle that is the time constraint, the number of vehicles, and the objective function.

Abstract

Toko  bangunan  ”XYZ”, merupakan sebuah usaha dagang yang  bergerak  di  bidang  jual beli bahan  bangunan. Dimana bahan bangunan yang dijual terdiri atas berbagai jenis barang dengan harga dan merek yang berbeda-beda. Hal ini menyebabkan informasi akan ketersediaan stok barang sesuai dengan penjualan menjadi sangatlah penting, mengingat banyak barang yang berharga cukup mahal dan membutuhkan tempat penyimpanan yang cukup besar. Sehingga bila terjadi salah perhitungan akan stok barang, maka akan terjadi kehilangan kesempatan untuk memenuhi penjualan (lost sales) karena kekurangan stok barang ataupun akan terjadi investasi yang terhenti karena barang tertimbun di gudang tanpa bisa terjual dengan lancar.Berdasar permasalahan di atas, dibutuhkan sebuah sistem peramalan guna menentukan persediaan barang yang ada sesuai dengan permintaan (demand). Guna memprediksi  jumlah persediaan stok barang akan digunakan metode  ARIMA yang akan dihitung dengan menggunakan sebuah aplikasi yang berjalan pada VB.Net dan SQL Server 2005. Hasil perhitungan nantinya akan ditampilkan dalam bentuk tabel dan grafik yang nanti akan divalidasi  dan  verifikasi  secara manual berdasar data penjualan lampau yang telah terjadi.Dari penelitian dan pengujian yang dilakukan didapatkan bahwa sistem yang dibuat telah mampu menentukan model peramalan ARIMA yang tepat pada barang di toko bahan bangunan “XYZ” ini.

Abstract

Manggala Motor is a vehicles selling company. Occasionally the company lacks goods stock so that it can not obtain maximal profit because the customer needs can not be compiled by the company directly. The company needs an application that can forecast the motorcycles selling for next period, the application is expected to solve the company’s problem. The application is made by using ARIMA method (Autoregressive-Integrated-Moving Average). The result of this application is information about the selling forecasting in the next period. It is hoped that the selling forecasting can help the company to prepare the goods stock and fulfill the costumers demand.

Abstract

Generally, a museum has many locations and artifacts collection that display for visitors. Museum manager often have difficulty in obtaining information on visitors behavior such as, is there are particular locations/artifacts in the museum that are frequently/rarely visit by museum visitors, how long visitors spend their time in particular locations/artifacts, etc. The purpose of this study is try to build a suitable system in order to improve knowledge about the behavior of museum visitors by identifying the position of visitors in the museum. This study uses Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) Beacon that place around the museum. The visitor mobile phone will detect BLE beacon signal, then the mobile phone application will calculated the visitor’s mobile phone position using the signal strength from the BLE beacons that are detected. The application then sends it to the computer server to display it in as museum visitor heat map. From this information, the museum manager could find out the visitors behavior movement and know which areas/artifacts that frequently/rarely visit by museum visitors. According to distance error testing which compare real location and position of the calculation, it is show that the average of distance error is around 140 cm. So, it can be concluded that the information obtained is sufficient enough to represent the position of museum visitors.

Abstract

PT. X is a subsidiary of X-Group engaged in the manufacture of plasticbased cosmetic packaging. PT. X wants to improve performance in blow and injection molding departments. Improvement is needed to apply since the workers’ cost is high. The alternatives of solutions that can be done are the  reductions of workers number or increasing the workers performance. In this research, the DILO (Day in the life of) method is applied to determine what activities are carried out during his working hours. The result shows that there are any differences from the actual and standard condition which is given by the company. The differences range of supervisors is 0% - 31%, as foremen is 2% - 21%, MTP technicians is 2% - 38%, machine technicians is 2% - 24%, administration staff is 0% - 26%. Relayout is also done in order to increase the performance of MTP technicians. Giving checklog and CCTV to related departments are also proposed to suppress workers’ lateness.

Abstract

Quality is a very important thing to be considered in every company because it relates to customer satisfaction. However, defective products often occur in the production activities, the management attempts to decrease defective products since it causes the loss in time, material, and funds used. Measurement System Analyze is applied as the first stage to perform an analysis toward the ability of the operator, technicians, and QC inspector. The next stage is to make Fishbone Diagram to find out the roots problems of defective products on Blow Molding area. The Measurement System Analyze results shows that 61.7% of the entire operator still couldn’t perform an inspection correctly. The inspection’s methods of the technicians and QC inspector are also needed to be changed because it still generates very high calculation variation. The result of Fishbone Diagram finds out that defective products are caused by these factors, such as machine, method, human, and material.

Abstract

This paper proposed an integrated product and process layout for optimizing process plant layout using a simulation approach. The proposed layout was compared to the existing layout in terms of the average work-in-process and the average waiting time of work-in-process. Currently, the plastic bag company uses process layout for its production facility layout and the activity of material movement is conducted in a batch fashion. In the proposed layout, product layout was utilized for two of six processes and process layout was utilized for the rest. Product layout changed material movement from batch into one piece flow with material handling conveyor. Software ProModel 7.0 was run in 1 year run-time with 10 replications. The simulation results show that the proposed layout reduces the average work-in-process and work-in-process waiting time in warehouse inspection by 97.92% and 96.82%, respectively. The proposed layout eliminates 47.42 minutes of the average waiting time in welding cutting temporary storage area.

Abstract

The demand for engineers in Indonesia has not been met with the number of professional engineers working in their respective fields. This is partly due to the low interest in engineering among students. Therefore, various programs are implemented by the government and companies to be able to introduce, educate and change perceptions on the field of engineering. This research was conducted to propose a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program in order to meet these objectives. The proposed program is an educational program in the form of a workshop on residential construction using miniature houses built of real construction materials as demonstration and learning tools. The program is aimed at high school students in accordance with the goal of increasing public interests and the number of potential engineers, particularly in the field of civil engineering. The validation process of the proposed program is done by distributing questionnaires to construction companies and high school students as stakeholders in the program's execution. The validation results show that the proposed program is quite attractive to construction companies and high school students, including those who are not interested in the engineering field. The program is also deemed feasible and able to meet the goal of developing students' interest in engineering

Abstract

Salah satu indikator proyek konstruksi berhasil adalah ketepatan waktu penyelesaian proyek sesuai dengan perencanaan. Namun, keterlambatan pada proyek konstruksi saat ini telah menjadi hal yang umum terjadi. Banyak kontraktor yang tidak mengetahui penyebab keterlambatan waktu dan sulit memprediksi keterlambatan waktu yang akan terjadi. Sehingga, keterlambatan pada proyek konstruksi tidak dapat dihindari. Dampak terbesar dari keterlambatan waktu adalah kerugian biaya untuk berbagai pihak yang terlibat pada proyek. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang berpengaruh signifikan dan hubungan antar faktor dalam keterlambatan waktu pada proyek konstruksi gedung bertingkat di Indonesia. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan penyebaran kuesioner. Responden pada penelitian ini berjumlah lima belas ahli yang telah berpengalaman pada bidang konstruksi. Faktor-faktor penyebab keterlambatan waktu pada penelitian ini yang akan dianalisis berdasarkan prinsip profesionalisme dan etika dalam bekerja. Faktor-faktor penyebab keterlambatan waktu terdiri dari dua puluh faktor. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode analisis Interpretive Structural Modeling (ISM). ISM adalah metode yang dapat menggambarkan struktur sistem yang kompleks melalui grafik dan kata-kata. Melalui analisis data ditemukan faktor-faktor yang paling berpengaruh signifikan dalam keterlambatan proyek konstruksi di Indonesia. Faktor-faktor yang menjadi penyebab paling berpengaruh adalah cuaca buruk, keadaan memaksa, kondisi lokasi sulit, dan akses meuju lokasi sulit. Melalui hasil yang ditunjukan keterlambatan waktu pada proyek konstruksi di Indonesia dapat dicegah dengan profesionalisme dan etika kerja, diantaranya dengan melakukan perencanaan kerja yang baik, dan memiliki tenaga ahli berpengalaman.

Abstract

Mata merupakan indra sensorik utama yang berperan penting dalam mendukung aktivitas manusia, terutamadalam pekerjaan yang membutuhkan fokus visual tinggi, seperti perencana struktur bangunan. Di Indonesia, pekerja seringmenghabiskan waktu kerja 7 jam sehari di depan layar komputer, yang diperpanjang dengan rata-rata penggunaan perangkatseluler selama 6 jam sehari. Akumulasi durasi ini menyebabkan pekerja menatap layar digital selama sekitar 13 jam setiap harinya,atau setara dengan 55% waktu harian pekerja. Pola ini meningkatkan risiko Computer Vision Syndrome (CVS), yaitu gangguanpenglihatan dengan gejala seperti ketegangan mata, penglihatan kabur, sakit kepala, mata kering, serta nyeri pada leher dan bahu.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara pencahayaan dan CVS, serta dampaknya terhadap produktivitaspekerja di perusahaan konsultan perencana struktur bangunan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pencahayaan di kantorbelum memenuhi standar yang berlaku, sehingga menciptakan lingkungan kerja yang kurang optimal. Kondisi ini menyebabkangejala CVS pada pekerja, yang berdampak pada penurunan konsentrasi, peningkatan kesalahan kerja, dan menurunkanproduktivitas. Di samping itu, kesalahan atribusi juga teridentifikasi dalam penelitian ini. Responden cenderung mengaitkanpenurunan produktivitas dengan faktor internal, seperti kurang tidur, dibandingkan faktor eksternal, seperti pencahayaan yangburuk. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan perbaikan sistem pencahayaan yang lebih baik untuk menciptakan lingkungan kerja yangmendukung kesehatan mata, meningkatkan kenyamanan visual, dan memaksimalkan produktivitas pekerja.
