Abstract

Lack of human resources is one of the reasons why most employees at Loa Janan Health Center. have double jobs. This study aims to determine: 1. the effect of the job description on the motivation of employees, 2. the effect of compensation on the motivation of employees, 3. the effect of non-physical work environment on the motivation of employees in Loa Janan Health Center. This type of research was quantitative with a Causal approach. The sample consisted of 53 employees. The questionnaire is used to collect the data in this research. The data analysis technique is multiple linear regression analysis, the t-test and predictor contributions are used to test the hypothesis in this research. The results showed that job description has an effect on employee motivation with a contribution of 13.1% influence, it is concluded that the hypothesis is accepted compensation and  Non-physical work environment has no effect on employee motivation with an influence contribution of 0.73% and 5%, it is concluded that the hypothesis is rejected. The conclusions of the research is just job Description has an effect on employee work motivation.. The suggestion of this research are hopefully, the distribution of Job Descriptions is based on the interests and competencies. Besides, adding more human resources to fill job vacancies is necessary to do so that there are no more double jobs in Loa Janan Health Center

Abstract

Sebaran data kasus COVID-19 di berbagai dunia termasuk Kota Samarinda mengalami peningkatan dan diperparah dengan belum ditemukannya obat untuk penyakit ini. Masyarakat perlu mengetahui bahwa untuk mencegah penyebaran virus Corona adalah dengan physical distancing (menjaga jarak aman secara fisik). Oleh karena itu pengetahuan mengenai physical distancing dan dukungan sosial terhadap physical distancing perlu ditingkatkan. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui hubungan pengetahuan dan dukungan sosial terhadap kepatuhan masyarakat dalam penerapan physical distancing. Penelitian dilakukan di kota Samarinda pada bulan Juni-Juli tahun 2021. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 232 orang dengan menggunakan teknik accidental sampling. Hasil analisis bivariat menunjukkan bahwa variabel pengetahuan (P-value = 0,267) dan dukungan sosial (P-value = 0,079) tidak mempunyai hubungan dengan kepatuhan masyarakat tehadap penerapan physical distancing.

Abstract

Iklim merupakan salah satu faktor utama dalam proses kehidupan makhluk hidup di bumi, baik bagi tumbuhan, hewan, dan bahkan manusia. Seiring berkembangnya zaman, iklim di bumi ini semakin berubah yang disebabkan oleh beberapa faktor utama dari perubahan iklim. Aktivitas manusia merupakan faktor utama perubahan iklim, banyak aktivitas manusia yang mungkin tidak di sadari dapat menyebabkan perubahan iklim di bumi. Berdasarkan hasil Observasi di Lapangan yang dilakukan oleh Mahasiswa KKN, ditemukan bahwa ternyata masih banyak warga Kelurahan Sungai Siring yang kurang memahami tentang kondisi iklim saat ini. Oleh sebab itu mahasiswa memberi edukasi tentang perubahan iklim agar masyarakat memahami seperti apa kondisi iklim saat ini. Sebelum melaksanaan Program Kerja, mahasiswa melakukan Advokasi terlebih dahulu kepada Masyarakat & Aparatur desa setempat. Setelah proses Advokasi dan Observasi berjalan. Mahasiswa kemudian melakukan perencanaan program kerja serta menentukan waktu dan tempat pelaksanaan program kerja. Untuk mencapai tujuan yang diharapkan maka mahasiswa menggunakan metode pemberdayaan masyarakat melalui pemasangan spanduk tentang perubahan iklim. Pelaksanaan kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman masyarakat dan menumbuhkan rasa kepedulian masyarakat terhadap lingkungan.

Abstract

Hearing loss due to noise exposure is a significant health problem, especially in high-noise work environments, such as the coal mining industry. This study aims to analyze the effects of length of employment on hearing impairment among workers at X Inc., Bontang. A quantitative approach with a cross-sectional method was used in this study, involving 52 workers who were exposed to high noise in the geology, CHP, utilities, and port facility operation area. Data collection was carried out through an audiometric survey to measure the level of hearing loss at various frequencies. The results showed that most respondents (86.5%) were over 40 years old and had worked for more than 10 years, leading to higher risk of hearing loss. Additionally, the relationship between length of employment and rate of hearing loss was significant; coal miners who worked longer showed more severe hearing loss. This study suggested the importance of implementing stricter noise regulations and more effective health protection to prevent hearing loss among coal miners. These findings can provide a basis for policymakers to formulate better preventive measures.

Abstract

Street food, according to the Food and Agriculture Organization (2019), is food and beverages served in containers sold on the side of the road or other places, which have been prepared or cooked at home or at the place of sale. Problems related to the use of food additives are one component of various nutritional problems in society, in addition to problems related to food shortages, poor handling, and processing. With the increasing enthusiasm of producers in producing food products that have high selling value, the use of food additives has increased. Research Objective. This study aims to identify the content of hazardous food additives (formalin, methanyl yellow, borax, rhodamine, and coliform bacteria contamination) in fast food around the Taman Cerdas area. Methods. This type of research is quantitative, using a pre-research design, the one-shot case study, with an analytic approach. The samples in this study were pentol, yellow wet noodles, otak-otak, and sauce sold in the Smart Park area of Samarinda City. Results. After observing 8 samples of snacks from physical quality, namely color, texture, and aroma, and the results of chemical quality tests, the results of the snacks were safe for consumption, while the results of the microbiological test found 7 samples of snacks were contaminated with coliform bacteria and 1 sample of snacks was not contaminated with coliform bacteria. Conclusion. Snacks in the Smart Park area of Samarinda City are physically and chemically safe because they do not contain hazardous materials. However, microbiological test results showed that 7 out of 8 samples were contaminated with coliform bacteria. This condition makes snacks not meet the standards of PMK No. 2 of 2023 and is at risk of causing digestive diseases, so it is hoped that the results of this study can be followed up by traders to maintain the importance of sanitation in serving snacks so that the snacks avoid contamination with coliform bacteria.
