Abstract

Cerita pewayangan, khususnya di Indonesia sangatlah banyak dan beragam. Disetiap cerita pewayangan tersebut, ada banyak filosofi dan pesan baik yang dapat diterapkan di kehidupan sehari-hari. Contohnya, cerita wayang Srikandi dalam lakon Perang Bahratayudha. Kepribadian positif Srikandi dalam lakon ini dapat dicontoh oleh para remaja, seperti keberanian, tanggungjawab, dan berusaha keras utnuk mendapatkan apa yang ia mau. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif, di mana penulis melakukan observasi dan wawancara kepada narasumber yang kompeten. Karakter Srikandi yang pemberani, membela kebenaran, dan pantang menyerah sesungguuhnya dapat dipelajari dan ditiru dalam kehidupan sehari-hari khususnya untuk remaja. Hal ini dapat membantu pembentukkan karakter mereka yang sesungguhnya.

Abstract

Ada banyak karya seni yang hadir di ruang publik, ternyata tidak semuanya memberikan rasa nyaman bagi penikmatnya. Ada juga karya seni yang mengundang perasaan jijik dan muak sebagian orang, sehingga dinilai sebagai karya seni yang kontroversial. Karya seni semacam itu dapat ditemui di Mr. Toilet House, sebuah museum dengan area terbuka yang dipenuhi instalasi seni bertema toilet. Meskipun dinilai menjijikkan oleh sebagian orang, tempat itu tetap ramai dikunjungi. Artikel ini akan membahas karya seni yang bertemakan toilet tersebut dengan pendekatan teori estetika sehari-sehari, di antaranya estetika sosial dan teori disgust. Analisis ini menggunakan fenomenologi sebagai metode penelitian. Artikel ini akan memaparkan bahwa ada banyak persepsi tentang seni dalam masyarakat, namun itu bukan alasan untuk mengadakan sebuah pembatasan dan pengeksklusifan terhadap seni yang boleh diapresiasi. Estetika sosial menyadari bahwa semua karya seni patut untuk ditampilkan dan diapresiasi.

Abstract

The study examine Gender Equality and Justice bill (RUU KKG) debate in the parliament and why it failed or being postponed by the House of Representatives in 2014. Are religious views play a significant role in rejecting the bill? Or is KKG bill loaded with Western ideology and interests? Why are political parties reluctant to fight for women’s equality ? These are the questions explored in this study. The study also shows the lack of understanding of the history of Indonesian women’s movement and culture in the parliament.

Abstract

The regional specialty products based on local identity is a government program that is intended to introduce products unique to the region to be sold to the market. Regional specialty products have a potent value because they can incorporate local identities that can penetrate global markets. Noodle Crackers is one of the specialty products originated in the region of Bogor, specifically in the Karadenan village. The conventional marketing, meaning that it is only distributed to Greater Jakarta areas, makes Noodle Crackers only to be produced during the fasting month of Ramadhan. Aside of that, the production decreases annually due to the lack of interest in the market outside of the fasting month. This resulted in the sale of Bogor Noodle Crackers to tank and affecting the production capacity, decreasing the revenue further every year even though the export market is a potential market for this Noodle Crackers. This paper discusses the effort in introducing the Noodle Crackers, specifically the “Kembang Matahari” brand, in order to bring the global market’s attention using a qualitative approach. The effort includes the logo and packaging design for Noodle Crackers as a part of its distinct visual identity within the global market. The results shown in this paper are the logo and the packaging meticulously designed for Noodle Crackers to prepare this regional specialty product in entering the export market, becoming one of the reliable international businesses in the Karadenan Village, Bogor.

Abstract

Seiring era adaptasi kebiasaan baru (new normal) akibat pandemi Covid-19. pelaku industri kecil menengah (IKM) selain mengedepankan fungsi pada umumnya juga harus dapat memperhatikan desain produknya agar dapat mendukung penerapan protokol kesehatan. Sebab, dengan desain yang menarik, daya saing dan nilai jual produk diyakini akan meningkat karena itu desain produk IKM mulai dituntut untuk bisa mendukung implementasi protokol kesehatan. Tujuan artikel ini adalah merancang model desain kemasan untuk para IKM kerupuk mie Karadenan Bogor di era new normal. metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan penelitian berbasis praktik (Practice Based Research) dalam upaya mencari informasi, menganalisa data dan memecahkan permasalahan. Dengan komposisi elemen grafis, tipografi, ilustrasi yang epiks sehingga menghasilkan model desain kemasan kerupuk mie yang menarik dan sesuai dengan protokol kesehatan.

Abstract

The technology of plastic surgery has been beneficial to mankind around the world. Plastic surgery can help people to retain and regain the function on some part of the body that was damaged. However, plastic surgery came with a handful of ethical issues. With the ability to alter one’s own body, many women sought to use this technology to beautify themselves. This part of technology then later was named as cosmetic surgery. By the reasoning of self-autonomy and free will, a person can easily alter their own physique according to their own will. This paper aimed to analyze this phenomenon based on philosophical thoughts regarding aesthetic purpose where it argued that beauty is a construction of media and society, not a construction that came from within one’s self. This paper argued that cosmetic surgery technology preyed upon women and instead of firming the position of self-autonomy and free will; it degrades women as a human of free will. The over-application of technology will only objectify women and it poses a danger as it can be used as a tool to satisfy certain interests

Abstract

AbstractThe Changes of Singgalang Newspaper Logo. Logo becomes an inseparable identity in introducing a brand to society in general. The construction of the shape represents the identity in itself to show the entity and become a characteristic that is finally known to the target audience. Changes to the logo are based on the need for the entity to always make a new appearance to be better known and to imprint the meaning of theentity in the minds of consumers. As one of the National newspapers, the Singgalang daily also changed its logo from the beginning of its publication in 1969. Changes in form that corresponded to Singgalang’s identity brought a different perception between one logo and another. The shapes differ from the first logo to the online media logo, indicating that Singgalang has special characteristics to show himself to the generalpublic. This article discusses the development of the Singgalang Daily logo that was published for the first time, until the logo is displayed in online media. The results of this study used the semiotic-Sumbo Tinarbuko approach, to see logos as symbols that exist and continue to make changes over time. By using semiotic analysis, the results ofthis study show that logos are important for re-branding to get into the community in general.AbstrakPerubahan Logo Harian Singgalang. Logo merupakan salah satu identitas yang tidak terpisahkan dalam mengenalkan sebuah merek kepada masyarakat secara umum. Konstruksi bentuk merepresentasikan identitas dalam dirinya untuk menunjukkan entitasnya dan menjadi ciri khas yang akhirnya dikenal kepada target pembacanya. Perubahan logo didasari pada kebutuhan entitas untuk selalu membuat tampilan baru agar lebih dikenal dan lebih menancapkan makna bentuk entitasnya di benak konsumen. Sebagai salah satu koran nasional, Harian Singgalang juga melakukan perubahan logo dari awal terbitnya di 1969. Perubahan bentuk yang sesuai dengan identitas Singgalang membawa persepsi yang berbeda antar satu logo dengan logo yang lain. Bentukbentuknyayang berbeda dari logo pertama sampai logo media daringnya, menandakan Singgalang memiliki ciri khusus untuk menunjukkan dirinya kepada masyarakat umum.Tulisan ini membahas tentang perkembangan logo Harian Singgalang yang terbit pertama kali, sampai logo yang ditampilkan di media daring. Hasil penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan semiotika-Sumbo Tinarbuko, untuk melihat logo sebagaisebuah simbol yang ada dan terus dilakukan perubahan dari waktu ke waktu. Dengan menggunakan analisis semiotika, hasil penelitian ini memperlihatkan bahwa logo menjadi penting untuk dilakukan desain ulang (re-branding) untuk dapat masuk ke masyarakat secara umum.

Abstract

Abstrak Peran Usaha Mikro Kecil dan Menengah (UMKM) dalam pertumbuhan ekonomi masyarakat Indonesia sangatlah penting. Untuk menjamin Usaha Mikro Kecil dan Menengah (UMKM) tumbuh dengan baik, maka perlu adanya usaha pengembangan (UMKM) yang dilakukan oleh setiap pelaku UMKM. Salah satu strategi yang bisa digunakan ialah strategi pemasaran. Kerupuk Mie “Kembang Matahari” merupakan salah satu UKM yang berdiri semenjak tahun 1977. Untuk mengembangkan usahanya, diperlukan suatu strategi pengembangan usahanya dengan tepat. Penelitian ini termasuk jenis penelitian lapangan (field research). Dalam pengumpulan data penulis menggunakan metode observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Sedangkan dalam analisisnya, penelitian ini menggunakan metode analisis SWOT yaitu metode analisis data yang menunjukkan pengembangan usaha dapat ditentukan oleh kombinasi faktor eksternal dan internal yakni faktor kekuatan (strength), kelemahan (weakness), peluang (opportunities), dan ancaman (threats). Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui Kerupuk Mie “Kembang Matahari” dalam mengembangkan usaha agar dapat meningkatkan usahanya dan kendala apa saja yang dihadapi dalam melaksanakan upaya tersebut. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang dilakukan oleh penulis dapat di sampaikan bahwa strategi pengembangan yang dilakukan oleh pengusaha Kerupuk Mie “Kembang Matahari” Karadenan yaitu meningkatkan pasar yang lebih luas, menjaga kualitas produk, memberikan pelatihan kepada pekerja, meningkatkan kualitas layanan pelanggan dan menetapkan harga. Sedangkan hasil analisis SWOT yang penulis teliti dari berbagai kendala maka pada penelitian ini akan meminimalisir dari masalah yang ada yaitu dengan menggunakan Strategi SO, Strategi ST, Strategi WO, Strategi WT. Dari strategi itu maka peneliti berharap akan bisa membantu dalam mengembangkan usahanya pada pengusaha Kerupuk Mie Karadenan Kabupaten Bogor. Abstract The role of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the economic growth of the Indonesian people is very important. To ensure that Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) grow well, it is necessary to have development efforts (MSMEs) carried out by every MSME actor. One strategy that can be used is a marketing strategy. Kerupuk Mie “Kembang Matahari” is one of the SMEs that was founded in 1977. To develop its business, a proper business development strategy is needed. This research is a type of field research (field research). In collecting data the author uses the method of observation, interviews, and documentation. Meanwhile, in the analysis, this study uses the SWOT analysis method, which is a data analysis method that shows business development can be determined by a combination of external and internal factors, namely strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats. This research was conducted to determine the "Kembang Matahari" Mie Crackers in developing their business in order to increase their business and what obstacles were faced in carrying out these efforts. Based on the results of the research conducted by the author, it can be said that the development strategy carried out by the Karadenan "Kembang Matahari" Karadenan Mie Cracker entrepreneur is to increase the wider market, maintain product quality, provide training to workers, improve the quality of customer service and set prices. While the results of the SWOT analysis that the author examined from various obstacles, this study will minimize the existing problems by using the SO Strategy, ST Strategy, WO Strategy, WT Strategy. From that strategy, the researcher hopes that it will be able to help in developing his business at the Karadenan Noodle Cracker entrepreneur, Bogor Regency.

Abstract

This study examines the diverse visualizations of the Kalpataru motif in ancient Mataram temples. As significant religious symbols, these temples embodied societal values and were constructed with meticulous attention to materials, architecture, and aesthetics. By chronologically comparing the Kalpataru motif in Hindu and Buddhist temples, this research explores its evolving meaning and form. The Kalpataru, representing purity and sacredness in Hindu-Buddhist thought, appears prominently in temples such as Borobudur, Mendut, Pawon, Prambanan, and Sojiwan. While its origins lie in Buddhist symbolism, associated with Siddhartha Gautama's enlightenment, the motif underwent significant transformation in Hindu temples, particularly Prambanan, where it became more decorative and incorporated animal figures. This study employs a historical methodology, encompassing heuristic, critical, interpretive, and historiographical stages, to analyze these changes and their implications for understanding ancient Mataram culture.

Abstract

The temple is considered as a homage to the gods. As gods reverence, the building is decorated with numerous beautiful motifs. Each decoration presents a value, either symbolic or aesthetic. Some previous studies have only explored the decorative motifs depicted on the roof, body, and base. The temple also consists of a cornice and plinth. They serve as separators between those three main parts of the temple. Some decorative motifs are also depicted on those parts. This essay discusses one of the decorative motifs usually applied on cornices and plinths, namely garland motifs. This research aims to identify various garland motifs in the ancient Mataram temple buildings (8-10C). The method used in this research is Wilhelm Dilthey's hermeneutics. It explains that in empirical data, there are patterns connected. Those patterns give meaning to experience and life. Dilthey's hermeneutics is carried out by looking at those patterns, understanding them, and interpreting their means. This research will reveal the meaning of the elements that form the garland motif. By understanding the interconnectedness of each element's intention, we can also understand the universal value of the garland motif in the temple building.
