Abstract

Provision of organic fertilizers was done as an alternative to reduce dependence on inorganic fertilizers, even though they were substantive in nature. Apart from being one of the solutions to the scarcity of subsidized fertilizers, it was also an effort to increase agricultural production, as well as protect the plant environment from pollution and maintain soil fertility. The production of organic fertilizers from local agricultural waste has been proven and successfully carried out by farmer groups based on visual criteria that are fine-textured, black in color and smell of soil. Testing of the nutritional content of organic fertilizers has been carried out and the results prove that the minimum technical requirements for solid organic fertilizers have been met, so that larger scale production can be carried out by farmer groups. To follow up on this activity, suggestions that need to be made include: (a) the potential for agricultural waste from sugarcane and oil palm plantations that has not been used in the manufacture of organic fertilizers can be used as raw material, so that it will enrich the nutritional content and the novelty of this organic fertilizer; (b) the need for licensing for the production of organic fertilizer for farmer groups requires assistance from the instant dan associated with these authority dan regulation; and (c) the need for good and attractive packaging, so that it will market-oriented. Abstract

Peningkatan populasi ternak sapi dapat dilakukan melalui kegiatan Inseminasi Buatan (IB) yang diharapkan juga dapat meningkatkan hasil kotoran ternak (feases) sebagai sumber bahan baku pupuk organik. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk: (1) meningkatkan populasi ternak sapi sebagai penghasil bahan baku pupuk organik, dan (2) meningkatkan pengetahuan Kelompok Tani Sumber Rezeki dalam pembuatan pupuk organik. Kegiatan ini dimulai bulan Maret sampai Agustus 2019 di Desa Bualo Kecamatan Paguyaman Kabupaten Boalemo. Kegiatan ini terdiri dari: (1) Kegiatan IB terhadap sapi induk yang sehat dan siap (masa birahi) oleh inseminator., dan (2) Pembuatan pupuk organik yang dilakukan melalui kegiatan pelatihan dan pendampingan. Sebelum dan sesudah pelatihan, dilakukan tes tingkat pengetahuan tentang pupuk organik kepada 25 orang peserta pelatihan yang dianalisis menggunakan Skala Likert. Bahan pembuatan pupuk organik meliputi: limbah jagung, bungkil kakao, feases, urin, EM4, gula dan air. Semua bahan dicampur merata dalam bak fermentasi, ditutup dengan terpal dan dibiarkan selama 3 minggu. Selama kegiatan berlangsung, antusias peserta dalam mengikuti seluruh kegiatan sangat tinggi dengan capaian 100%. Kegiatan IB telah menghasilkan sebanyak 12 ekor sapi bunting. Kegiatan pelatihan dan pendampingan kepada petani di Kelompok Tani Sumber Rezeki telah mampu meningkatkan pengetahuan tentang pembuatan pupuk organik dengan capaian sebesar 88,0% dari total peserta pelatihan.Kata kunci: Populasi, Sapi, Inseminasi Buatan, Pengetahuan, Pupuk Organik. Abstract Increasing cattle population can be done through Artificial Insemination (IB) activities which are also expected to increase livestock manure yields (feases) as a source of raw material for organic fertilizer. This activity aims to: (1) increase the population of cattle as a producer of raw materials for organic fertilizer, and (2) increase the knowledge of Sumber Rezeki Farmer Groups in making organic fertilizer. This activity began in March to August 2019 in Bualo Village, Paguyaman District, Boalemo Regency. This activity consists of: (1) IB activities towards healthy and ready mother cows (incubation period) by inseminators, and (2) Making organic fertilizer carried out through training and mentoring activities. Before and after the training, a knowledge level test about organic fertilizer was conducted on 25 trainees who were analyzed using a Likert Scale. Organic fertilizer manufacturing materials include: corn waste, cocoa meal, feases, urine, EM4, sugar and water. All ingredients are mixed evenly in a fermentation tank, covered with tarpaulin and left for 3 weeks. During the activity, participants' enthusiasm in participating in all activities was very high with 100% achievement. IB activities have produced as many as 12 pregnant cows. Training activities and assistance to farmers in the Sumber Rezeki Farmer Group have been able to increase knowledge about making organic fertilizer with an achievement of 88.0% of the total training participants. Keywords: Population, Cow, Artificial Insemination, Knowledge, Organic Fertilizer.

Abstract

The Research aimed to knowing the effect of using different type eggs to favourite level of Tiliaya (Gorontalo traditional food), includes: texture, color, smell, taste and preference in general. The panelists used were 25 people of untrained category with range score 1 to 5. This research used a completely randomized design (CRD) with four treatments and four replications. The treatments was P1 (chicken eggs), P2 (free-range eggs), P3 (duck eggs) and P4 (quail eggs). Data analysis used analysis of variance and continued with Duncan’s multiple range test (DMRT). The result of research showed that had a significant effect (P 0,01) to  treatments. About texture of  Tiliaya, panelists gave highest score on treatment P3 (duck eggs) with average value of 4,14. Based on color, treatment P2 (free-range chicken eggs) gets highest average score of 4,22, while treatment P1 (chicken eggs) gets the highest average value in terms of smell, taste and preference. In conclusion, using different type eggs namely chicken eggs, free-range chicken eggs, duck  eggs, and quail eggs had affect organoleptic characteristics both in terms of texture, color, smell, taste and pereference in general of Tiliaya (Gorontalo traditional food).

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of variations in the number of duck eggs on organoleptik tiliaya test responses including, texture,color, aroma, taste and prence. The panelist used in this study housed twenty people with categories of untrained panelists with a score one fiver. The study design used in the study was a completely rando mized consisting of four treatments and four replications namely p one duack egg, p two five duck eggs, p three eight duck egs, p four eleven duck eggs then the data obtained were analyzed using Anova analysis of varias and if there were differences real continued with the the Duncan further test. The results of the study show that there were is an effect of appromimately five percent real diffences on all treataments. In this case the treatment of Aroma Tiliaya panelists gave the highest value in the treatment of p one with two duck eggs with an average value of three point eight. In the Tiliaya color with the treatment of p one with two duck eggs obtain the highest average of three poin nine four. Intreatment p one with two duck eggs where the Tiliaya taste gets an average value of three point nine five. I treatment p one with two duck eggs where Tiliaya texture has an average value of four point zero eight. In treatment p one with two duck eggs where the general prefence for Tiliaya obtained an average value of three point nine seven. So it can be concluded that the value of a processed food producti is very decisive for the panelis, especially in Aroma, Color, Taste, Texture, general preference, which can affect the characteristic of the Tiliaya.

Abstract

Tujuan pengabdian ini adalah Memberikan pelatihan kepada masyarakat desa khususnya ibu-ibu tentang pembuatan bakso home made yang  bahan dasarnya mudah didapat dan sering jadi limbah,. Terkait dengan perannya terhadap pemantapan ketahanan pangan hewani dan pemberdayaan ekonomi masyarakat pedesaan serta memacu pengembangan wilayah. Ikan di kenal sebagai biota laut yang sangat di gemari yang menghasilkan daging maupun telurnya digemari oleh masyarakat. Selain harganya relative murah, ikan merupakan sumber protein yang baik, karena mengandung asam amino essensial yang lengkap dan dalam perbandingan jumlah yang baik. Salah satu (by product) yang di hasilkan dari laut selain danau  adalah ikan dengan berbagai macam jenis. Data statistik pertanian tahun 2003   menunjukkan bahwa produksi ikan Gorontalo sebanyak 973.000 ton selama tahun 2019. Gorontalo Utara merupakan daerah penyuplai ikan kedaerah Sulut Usaha pemanfaatan ikan dan tepung sayur gedi belum pernah dilakukan sehingga kemampuan penyediaan pangan yang murah dan berkualitas masih rendah. Pengabdian ini dilaksanakan di Kecamatan Tibawa Kabupaten Gorontalo.  Hasil pengabdian ini menunjukan bahwa Program kerja KKN Kampus Merdeka yang terdiri dari, pelaksanaan sosialisasi tentang pelatihan pemanfaatan tanaman pangan dan pangan hewani menjadi suatu pangan yang memiliki kualitas gizi tinggi yang dapat di manfaatkan pada masa pandemi. Bakso dengan bahan dasar ikan dapat dijadikan kreasi untuk menjadi makanan jajanan yang bergizi yang dicampur dengan sayuran berwarna atau pewarna makanan yang alami yang banyak ditanam dan dijual di pasar, sehingga bias menambah variasi warna yang alami untuk bakso. Daun gedi sebagai bahan tambahan pada bakso ikan memberi pengaruh terhadap kualitas bakso, baik pada organoleptik (warna, aroma, tekstur, maupun rasa), dengan konsentrasi 400 gr masihdapat diterima panelis ataupun konsumen.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to detect borax and formalin in meatballs that sold in Limboto, Gorontalo district. This is a descriptive qualitative study. Thirty-three samples were taken randomly from pushcart and restaurant meatball in Limboto. It used simple technic where using turmeric to detect borax and potassium permanganate (KMnO4) to detect formalin. The result showed that the samples were free from borax but twenty five samples (75.75%) were positive for formalin. In conclusion, the produsen of meatballs in Limboto was not using borax for making the chewable meatballs but using formalin to preserve the meatballs.

Abstract

Limbah pertanian, terutama jerami jagung (tebon) yang sangat melimpah dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai bahan baku pakan silase, tetapi masih banyak petani yang belum tahu dan belum bisa untuk membuat pakan silase tersebut. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan ketrampilan petani dalam pembuatan pakan silase di Kelompok Tani Rukun Sejahtera Desa Bualo Kecamatan Paguyaman Kabupaten Boalemo. Guna mencapai tujuan tersebut, maka metode pengabdian masyarakat yang digunakan adalah metode pelatihan dengan teknik ceramah dan tanya jawab, metode praktikum dan pendampingan kepada peserta, serta metode survei menggunakan instrumen kuisioner untuk menilai pengetahuan dan ketrampilan peserta dalam pembuatan pakan silase. Hasil yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan kegiatan pelatihan dan praktek pembuatan pakan silase terbukti telah mampu memberikan peningkatan pada pengetahuan dan ketrampilan masyarakat, terutama petani tentang pakan silase dan pembuatannya. Tingkat pengetahuan petani tentang pakan silase sebelum pelatihan dilakukan mayoritas peserta pelatihan (94,4%) tidak tahu dan sangat tidak tahu tentang pakan silase. Setelah mengikuti kegiatan pelatihan, maka mayoritas peserta pelatihan (99,2%) sudah tahu dan sangat tahu tentang pakan silase. Tingkat ketrampilan petani setelah mengikuti praktek dan pendampingan pembuatan pakan silas, mayoritas (90,4%) sudah bisa dan terampil dalam membuat pakan silase. Guna tindak lanjut dari kegiatan ini, maka perlunya pendampingan terus menerus kepada kelompok tani baik oleh penyuluh pertanian maupun perguruan tinggi agar limbah jagung dan limbah pertanian lainnya dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai pakan silase; dan (perlunya pengkayaan bahan pakan silase agar kandungan nutrisi pakan silase ini lebih lengkap (komplit)

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to identify antibiotic residues in broiler chicken sold in the Gorontalo market, including Sentral Market, Shoping market, Gelael, and Hypermart. This study employed the agar diffusion test method and used 24 samples, namely 12 meat samples and 12 chicken liver samples. The data obtained were analyzed descriptively. The test results showed zero formation of an inhibition zone in the area around the disc paper of each sample. All in all, the chicken sold in the Gorontalo market does not contain antibiotic residues

Abstract

This service will be addressed to the residents of Ombulodata Village, Kwandang District, North Gorontalo Regency. Several activity programs have been carried out at the location of the activity, namely the Introduction and Processing of Eggshell Waste into Organic Fertilizer, Eggshell Waste Collection, Eggshell Waste Processing into Flour, and Organic Fertilizer Production. The method used in empowering the target partner group is a learning technique in the form of providing theory and simulation to village residents who are target partners and then direct practice with students and villagers. Ombulodata village has the most agricultural land compared to other villages in Kwandang sub-district. the local government provides assistance in the form of more fertilizer to each farmer group. but often insufficient and even damage the plant. Another potential possessed by Ombulodata village is, if you observe the area around Ombulodata village, the availability of land with fruit, chili and tomato plants is quite a lot

Abstract

Tujuan kegiatan Pengabdian ini adalah memperkenalkan jenis ternak baik ternak unggas maupun ruminansia kepada anak usia dini. Harapannya dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kecintaan anak-anak terhadap ternak ataupun hewan yang merupakan salah satu mahluk hidup ciptaan tuhan. Metode pelaksanaan yaitu dengan cara pembelajaran melalui media internet, hal ini dilakukan karena lebih menarik perhatian anak – anak. Media pembelajaran interaktif adalah sebuah metode pembelajaran berbasis teknologi infomasi dan komunikasi. Media pembelajaran interaktif merupakan media penyampaian pesan antara tenaga pendidik kepada peserta didik yang memungkinkan komunikasi antara manusia dan teknologi melalui system dan infrastruktur berupa program aplikasi serta pemanfaatan media elektronik sebagai bagian dari media edukasi. Disebut interaksi karena media ini dirancang dengan melibatkan respon pemakai secara aktif. Pada sistem pembelajaran saat ini masih menggunakan media cetak dan papan tulis yang disebut sebagai media pembelajaran manual. Salah satu TK yang masih menerapkan metode pembelajaran ini adalah TK Cempaka Desa Talumelito merupakan salah satu lembaga pendidikan formal di tingkat PAUD. Hasil pengamatan langsung pada TK Cempaka Desa Talumelito terlihat bahwa proses belajar yang dilakukan guru masih sama pada umumnya yaitu dengan metode ceramah.
