Abstract

Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is a livable disease and its increased every year. (DM) victim are prone to skin infections, one of which is dermatophytes. Uncontrolled blood sugar levels in DM patients are prone to dermatophytosis. The objective of research was to understand correlation controlled blood sugar and dermatophytosis in patients with type2 diabetes mellitus. The research done in research an analytical observational use case control type. The minimum sample number of cases is 35 people and the minimum sample of control is 35 people acording with the requirement of inclusion and exclusion. The research is worked in the Tabanan General Hospital in 2020 – 2021 using medical records which was then analyzed univariately to see the characteristics of the subject and the comparison of the proportions of each group. Chi-square testing was used to know the correlation between blood sugar control and dermatophytosis. The p-value<0.05 was said to be statistically significant and the p-value>0.05 was said to be insignificant. In the dermatophytosis group, the majority (45.7%) of study subjects were old 31-60 years and majority (62.9%) male. The results of bivariate analysis showed that there was no significant difference in proportion of sex and age in the dermatophytotic and non-dermatophytic groups. The most common dermatophytosis was tinea cruris with a proportion of 37.1%. The bivariate analysis showed that there was no significant correlation between blood sugar control and dermatophytosis in type2 diabetes mellitus patients (value p = 0.454; OR = 1.45). The conclusion is that there is no significant correlation between blood sugar control and dermatophytosis in type2 diabetes mellitus victim at Tabanan General Hospital. Several factors that influence the research are differences in blood sugar classification standards, differences in basic characteristics, environmental conditions.

Abstract

Prelabor rupture of membranes (PROM) is a condition rupture of the membranes before the time of labor. The prevalence of PROM that occurs in Indonesia is still high. Anemia as one of the factors causing PROM. The purpose of this study to determine the relationship between anemia and the incidence of prelabor rupture of membranes at the Sanjiwani Hospital in 2020. This study used a cross-sectional and using secondary data from medical records from January 2020-December 2020. The study sample size was 96 samples obtained using the consecutive sampling method. Data analysis was carried out univariate and bivariate with chi-square test with a significance level (α) of 0.05. The data will be analyzed using SPSS. The result of this study obtained the number of prevalence of PROM in pregnant women with anemia is 26,9 with a significance level is 0,412. The result of this study is that there is no significant relationship between anemia and the incidence of prelabor rupture of membranes at the Sanjiwani Hospital in 2020. A non significant result can occur because the antenatal care (ANC) carried out by the mother during pregnancy has been good. Pregnant women are expected to carry out ANC properly to prevent anemia. Abstract

Colorectal cancer is cancer resulting from cumulative genetic mutations in the epithelial cells of the colon and rectum, resulting in excessive cell division, migration and differentiation and resulting in proliferation, invasion and metastasis of these cells. In 2020, the estimated incidence rate of colorectal cancer in the world will reach 19.5%. In Indonesia, the incidence of colorectal cancer in 2020 reached 34,189 (8.6%) cases. There is no research on the characteristics of colorectal cancer patients at the Sanjiwani Hospital, Gianyar. This study aims to determine the clinical characteristics of colorectal cancer patients who underwent colonoscopy at the Sanjiwani Hospital, Gianyar in 2020. This study uses a cross-sectional descriptive approach, to provide an overview of the characteristics of colorectal cancer patients undergoing colonoscopy at the Sanjiwani Hospital, Gianyar. The samples used were all patients diagnosed with colorectal cancer at the Sanjiwani Hospital, Gianyar for the period January 2019 to December 2020. The results of this study found that the prevalence of colorectal cancer undergoing colonoscopy at the Sanjiwani Hospital, Gianyar in 2019-2020 was 9.5%. The age group is more in the age group of more than 50 years, which is 72.4%. The majority of the research subjects were male with a percentage of 52.6%. 96.1% of the research subjects had no family history. Symptoms of bloody bowel movements were the most common complaints obtained by 22.4%. Adenocarcinoma was the most histopathological picture found, which was 47.4%. The majority of research subjects did not experience anemia by 64.5%. The rectum is the most common location of cancer found that is 72.4%. Stage III is the most common stage found, which is 44.7%. Abstract

[The Correlation Between BMI and Cardiorespiratory Endurance in FKIK UNWAR Student with Central Obesity] The Correlation Between BMI and Cardiorespiratory Endurance in FKIK Unwar Student with Central Obesity Cardiorespiratory endurance is the ability of the heart, lungs, and blood vessels in providing oxygen for muscle performance during rhythmic and sustained activity. Body Mass Index (BMI) is one of the factors that can affect the level of cardiorespiratory endurance. However, this measurement cannot measure the proportion of body fat as in someone with central obesity. A person with normal BMI can have a proportion of body fat > 30%, and if distributed as visceral fat will have a high association with cardiometabolic risk. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between BMI and cardiorespiratory endurance in Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences Warmadewa University student with central obesity. The design of this study was observational analytic with cross sectional approach. This study was conducted on 60 students with central obesity. Body Mass Index was measured using equation body weight (kg)/the square of height (m), while the level of cardiorespiratory endurance was measured using Harvard Step Up Test. The data was analyzed by Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) 18.0 for Windows program. The correlation between both variable were analyzed by Spearman correlation test. The results was showed as follow: the average score Weist Circumference, BMI and cardiorespiratory endurance were 91,0±8; 29.01±3.01; and 18.61±8.40, respectively and the correlations between both were negatif (p=000 and r=0.51). The conclusion could be drawn that there was significance correlation between BMI and cardiorespiratory endurance. It was recommended that the students with central obesity should be improved the physical activity regularly

Abstract

[Characteristic of Cataract Patients at Ari Canti Hospital From 2017-2019] Cataract is an ocular condition characterized by the opacification of the eye's lens, leading to visual impairment. Cataracts are caused by the disruption of mechanism between water and electrolytes which is triggered by the denaturation of lens proteins. Cataracts represent the predominant etiology of blindness and it is estimated that around 65.2 million people in the world suffer from cataracts. Although cataract surgery has been proven to reduce blindness, cataracts are still the leading cause of blindness in developing countries due to the lack of access to medical services and eye examinations. This investigation seeks to ascertain the attributes of cataract patients in relation to age, gender, systemic comorbidities (which consists of diabetes and hypertension), cataract severity, and visual acuity within the timeframe of 2017-2019 at Ari Canti Hospital. This descriptive research takes place in Ari Canti Hospital and it’s using cross-sectional method. Samples were obtained by consecutive sampling technique and data were collected by obtaining patient medical records to provide sample characteristics. The total amount of samples gathered were 262 samples. Results concluded that cataracts are more susceptible to people aged between 70-79 years, female and those who have a history of hypertension. Most cataracts symptoms begin at the immature stage and visual acuity is mostly at UCVA >3/60. Several recommendations for this study could serve as a basis for cataract screening and management policies and might also serve as a reference for future research endeavors.
