Abstract

Community service is carried out at SMA Plus Cendikia Cikeas located in Gunung Putri, Bogor by cultivating Family Medicinal Plants (TOGA). It is hoped that TOGA cultivation can be a solution to the problem of actualizing Go Green schools. The achievement of this activity is that the school community (students, teachers and school employees) can increase their knowledge about TOGA, how to plant it, its name and benefits as well as the existence of a green area in the form of TOGA in the school environment. The method used is a participatory approach by providing education and procedures for planting family medicinal plants. The stages of this activity are 1) preliminary stage, 2) TOGA socialization stage, and 3) planting stage. Plants that have been planted are labeled with their names on the nameplate. This activity went well, starting from providing a small educational seminar on TOGA planting tutorials to providing nameplates. The results obtained from this activity are empty space that has not been utilized as a TOGA park. Further cultivation is carried out by partners to create a green school (go green).

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi kebijakan penempatan Pegawai Negeri Sipil (PNS) di Pemerintah Kota Tangerang Selatan berdasarkan prinsip "the right man in the right job." Fokus utama penelitian ini adalah untuk menilai bagaimana kebijakan penempatan pegawai telah diterapkan, terutama dalam konteks penerapan sistem meritokrasi, serta tantangan yang dihadapi, seperti subjektivitas dalam penilaian kinerja dan pengaruh politik dalam proses mutasi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan mixed method, yang menggabungkan analisis kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Data kuantitatif diperoleh melalui survei terhadap pegawai yang telah melalui proses mutasi, sedangkan data kualitatif dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam dengan pejabat di Badan Kepegawaian, Pendidikan, dan Pelatihan (BKPSDM) serta analisis dokumen kebijakan yang relevan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa meskipun kebijakan penempatan berbasis merit telah diterapkan, implementasinya masih terkendala oleh subjektivitas dalam penilaian kinerja dan pengaruh faktor-faktor politik. Meskipun ada peraturan yang mendukung kebijakan ini, pelaksanaannya belum sepenuhnya efektif dalam memastikan pegawai ditempatkan sesuai dengan kompetensi mereka. Kesimpulannya, diperlukan reformasi lebih lanjut untuk memperkuat objektivitas, transparansi, dan sistem penilaian kinerja berbasis kompetensi agar prinsip "the right man in the right job" dapat diterapkan secara efektif di seluruh instansi pemerintahan.

Abstract

Pesantren in Indonesia today have a wide variety of activities, apart from the main program, namely learning and teaching activities, but also farming and/or livestock activities in order to utilize school land and as an effort to fulfill daily needs for the scope of the pesantren itself and in order to support food security. Catfish farming is one way to be able to teach animal husbandry skills to students by utilizing land in the form of fish ponds that are not functioning optimally. The catfish farming is also expected to be utilized further so that it becomes an additional source of income for all school parties. This community service program is carried out with educational methods and catfish breeding practices by utilizing water sources that are widely available around the school. In the end, this activity can be used as a food security program and can also function as an additional source of income for schools.

Abstract

Along with the development of the use of technology in every line of human life, it also requires Biology learning media that can help students understand the subject matter. At present, a technological innovation has developed that can be utilized as one of the biology learning media, namely Flipbook. Biology learning media using Flipbook is considered to be able to improve the ability to understand concepts to students. Based on the advantages of various features in Flipbook and reviewed from the learning needs required by students at SMA Jagakarsa, the use of Flipbook media can be considered appropriate for use; both for students and teachers, because it can objectify learning materials that comprehensive but easy to understand.

Abstract

Innovation in biology learning is increasingly necessary, as conventional instructional practices are often dominated by memorization-based methods that limit students’ active engagement and critical thinking development. Along with rapid advances in science and technology, digital applications offer new opportunities to enhance teaching and learning processes. One such application is Canva, a digital design platform that can be utilized as an effective learning media to support teachers and students in biology education. This study aims to describe the implementation of Canva-based learning media through a training program conducted at SMA Islam Terpadu Daarul Rahman and to examine its perceived usefulness for both teachers and students. The training involved teachers in developing biology learning materials using Canva by integrating visual elements, images, and videos to present complex biological concepts more clearly. The results of the training indicate that Canva is considered practical, user-friendly, and efficient by teachers in designing learning materials. Teachers reported that the application helped them present content in a more attractive and structured manner. Furthermore, students benefited from the use of Canva-based materials, as they demonstrated better understanding of the subject matter and increased interest in learning biology. The integration of visual and multimedia elements also supported the development of students’ critical thinking skills by encouraging analysis and interpretation of biological phenomena. Overall, the use of Canva as a learning medium shows potential to enhance the quality of biology learning and foster more meaningful learning experiences.
