Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model on students’ mathematical problem-solving ability in the topic of System of Linear Equations in Two Variables (SPLDV). The research employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design using a nonequivalent control group design. The sample consisted of two eighth-grade classes at MTs PP Darul Fatah selected through purposive sampling. The research instrument was an essay test, analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test to measure improvement within a single class, the Independent Sample T-Test to compare results between classes, and normalized gain (N-Gain) to assess the effectiveness of the learning model. The Wilcoxon test results showed that 25 students in the experimental class experienced score improvement, while only 9 students in the control class showed the same. The Independent Sample T-Test produced a t-value of 3.245 with a significance level of 0.002 < 0.05, indicating a significant difference between the experimental and control classes. The average N-Gain score in the experimental class was 1.0278 (high and effective category), while in the control class it was 0.2931 (low and ineffective category). Thus, the Problem Based Learning model has been proven to have a significant and effective impact on improving students’ mathematical problem-solving ability.

Abstract

Kualitas hidup (Quality of life) adalah penilaian terhadap kesejahteraan individu dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Kualitas hidup pada pasien dengan penyakit terminal seperti kanker cenderung kurang baik. Kanker ditandai dengan pertumbuhan sel abnormal yang tidak terkendali, menyerang organ tubuh, dan dapat terjadi pada semua usia, termasuk anak-anak. Selain efek terapeutik, pengobatan kanker juga menyebabkan penderitaan fisik, tekanan psikologis, dan gangguan sosial. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan terapi tambahan seperti art therapy, yaitu pendekatan yang mengombinasikan psikoterapi dan proses kreatif untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraan pasien. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh art therapy terhadap kualitas hidup anak dengan kanker di YKAKI Pekanbaru tahun 2024, menggunakan desain quasi-experiment dengan one group pretest-posttest pada 20 responden yang diambil dengan menggunakan teknik totally sampling. Hasil penelitian didapatkan rata-rata kualitas hidup anak dengan kanker sebelum dilakukan art therapy adalah 41,250 dan rata-rata kualitas hidup anak dengan kanker setelah dilakukan art therapy adalah 50,0000. Nilai beda mean kualitas hidup anak dengan kanker sebelum dan sesudah dilakukan art therapy ialah sebesar 8,795. Hasil uji statistik Paired Sample T Test diperoleh nilai sig. 0,001 yang berarti pemberian art therapy berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap kualitas hidup anak dengan kanker di Yayasan Kasih Anak Kanker Indonesia (YKAKI) Pekanbaru, tahun 2024. Abstract

Incorrect pushing during the second stage of labor can cause perineal rupture. Perineal rupture is the second cause of postpartum hemorrhage after uterine atony The purpose of this study was to analyze the comparison of the effect of the inflatable technique and the Valsava technique on the degree of perineal rupture in childbirth during stage II at PMB Kampar Regency in 2024. This type of research is Quasi Experimental Design with posttest only control group design. This study was conducted on August 26 - October 17, 2024 with a total sample of 20 vaginal delivery women, 10 laboring women applying the inflatable technique and 10 laboring women using the valsava technique. The data collection method used accidental sampling technique and data collection using observation sheet. There were 6 respondents (60%) who applied the inflatable technique with degree 0 (no rupture) with a mean of 0.50, while in the valsalva technique there were 7 respondents (70%) with degree 2 perineal rupture with a mean of 1.70 and bivariate analysis with the Mann-Whitney test showed the results of Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) value p = 0.002 ≤ 0.05.
