Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh adanya Conversational Implicature di dalam Conversational Implicature In Junior High School Textbook “Think Globally Act Locally”. Tujuan Penelitian Ini adalah untuk menganalisa tipe-tipe dan makna tersirat conversational implicature di dalam Textbook “Think Globally Act Locally”. Peneliti memilih Metode dari Sudaryanto sebagai acuan utama untuk meneliti topik ini, yaitu Implikatur percakapan (Conversational Implicature) berdasarkan tipe-tipe dan makna tersirat nya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menemukan dan menganalisa implikatur percakapan (Conversational implicature) di dalam Textbook “Think Globally Act Locally”. Desain penelitian ini adalah kualitatif. Metode yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data adalah metode “identitas pragmatis” atau pencocokkan data beserda tekhnik-tekhniknya. Maka, berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan, peneliti menemukan 9 (sembilan) data. Data-data tersebut terdiri dari 7 (tujuh) generalized conversational implicature dan 2 (dua) particularized conversational implicature.

Abstract

This study investigated Muhammad Natsir's thoughts on education, specifically on the basic principles of Islamic education by using the historical tracing method. Data sources were examined through library research due to materials from readings and references to relevant books and manuscripts. Based on the study, it was discovered that Muhammad Natsir laid down five basic principles and concepts of Islamic education in the following: first, tawhid as the foundation of education; second, the position of science is placed after tawhid, which serves as a reinforcement of faith; third, tradition and discipline of thought; fourth, mastery of Arabic; and the necessity of Islamic educational institutions has a crucial role as a facility and a place to actualize these four concepts.

Abstract

It is an essential factor that using a suitable learning model will enhance the learning outcomes for students. Project Based Learning (PJBL) is cosidered one of the learning model that guide the student to study inside the classroom and on the industrial world. The students learn theoritically and practically. This research was to find out the strength and weakness of PJBL during teaching and learning inside and outside of the classroom. It used qualitative research by using descriptive design. Data were collected by using interview question using semi structure interview and documentation. Data were analyzed by using theory of Miles & Huberman and Mc Carthy about discourse analysis. There were 71 students becoming the sample of the research from Politeknik Negeri Padang. After conducting the research, it is found some strengths and weaknesses of the PJBL for teaching and learning. PJBL. The strengths are for example: improving the student motivation, making the student to be diligent and challenging, being able to solve the problem, increasing the student collaboration and cooperation, teaching the student to make decision and conceptual framework, and how to work on the field. For the weakness are for example: taking much time and money, difficult to collect the information and best decision, do not make all student creative and innovative, and needing sufficient facilities and technologies to do the project.

Abstract

Language development today is driven by the rapid pace of technological advancements and the cultural shifts happening around us. However, there are some business owners, called micro enterprises, still use printed advertisement. They use bilingualism on local content-based printed advertisement to sell their product to customers. This research aimed at to find out the effects of bilingualism on local content-based printed advertisement for product selling by MSMEs. These research questions are what are the effects of bilingualism on local content-based printed advertisement for product selling by MSMEs. This research used descriptive qualitative by using content analysis. Data were collected by using interview method using interview question data collection technique. Interview was conducted by using semi-structured interview. Data were analysed by using content analysis combining the theory from Fishman about code-switching and Commercial Onomastic Approach. The research shows that the bilingual advertisements can effectively reach wider customers; advertisement helps to create a sense of cultural connection with the community; bilingual advertisement makes the products offered by MSMEs more relatable and accessible; bilingual advertisements can enhance the perception of inclusivity and professionalism, and bilingual advertisement can lead to increased product awareness, customer loyalty, and higher sales. This research is expected that the MSMEs could show their ideologies or understanding about bilingualism advertisement and for the government, it could to make policy about bilingualism advertisement for public information. This research was limited into Micro Enterprises of West Sumatera MSMEs in Food and Drink type of business.
