Abstract

TPQ Nurul Mubtadi is one of the recitation places in Simpang Peut Village that teaches the art of reading the Al-Qur'an with a different method from other recitation places, where the recitation is carried out in halaqah form. This paper aims to discuss the level of success in the art of reading the Quran with halaqah and the methods applied to TPQ Nurul Mubtadi in reading the Quran. This was a qualitative study with data collection techniques including observation, interviews, and documentation. This study showed that the halaqah reading of the Koran in the art of reading the Koran for TPQ Nurul Mubtadi students had a very good effect because the students were required to master the science of recitation and the basic rhythms such as bayyati syuri, bayyati husaini, hijaz, nahwand dan rast . Classes are held on Wednesday and Thursday nights. The method applied in the Art of Reading the Qur'an is the talaqqi or musyafahah method.Abstrak: Taman Pendidikan al-Qur’an (TPQ) Nurul Mubtadi merupakan salah satu tempat pengajian di Gampong Simpang Peut yang mengajarkan seni baca Al-Qur’an dengan metode yang berbeda dari tempat pengajian lain, di mana pengajian seni baca AL-Qur’an dilakukan dalam bentuk halaqah. Dari permasalahan tersebut, tulisan ini akan membahas sejauh mana tingkat kehasilan seni baca Al-Qur’an secara halaqah serta metode yang diterapkan pada TPQ Nurul Mubtadi dalam pembacaan Al-Qur’an. Kajian ini merupakan kajian lapangan yang bersifat kualitatif. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembacaan Al-Qur’an secara halaqah menggunakan seni baca Al-Qur’an pada santri TPQ Nurul Mubtadi sangat baik, peserta diwajibkan menguasai ilmu tajwid serta menguasai irama dasar seperti bayyati syuri, bayyati husaini, hijaz, nahwand dan rast. Pembelajaran dilaksanakan pada malam rabu dan kamis. Adapun metode yang diterapkan dalam Seni Baca Al-Qur’an adalah metode talaqqi atau musyafahah.

Abstract

Love is a feeling that has moved human life. It is often defined as an expression of affection and sympathy towards a specific object. Due to the sacredness of love in life, the Quran has mentioned it in several verses, both explicitly and implicitly. These verses have been uniformly understood by scholars, but Said Ramadhan al-Buthi has a unique and different perspective in interpreting them. Therefore, this research focuses on how al-Buthi interprets al-hubb (love) that is found in several verses in the Quran and then classifies them. This research aims to uncover the meaning of love in the Quran according to al-Buthi and what thematic categorization he does on love in the Quran. This research is a literature review (library research). Furthermore, the data is analyzed by descriptive analysis. The results show that al-Buthi defines love as a feeling of attachment to something where a person feels comfortable when close to the object and reluctant to be away from it. However, this definition is only applicable to humans. For him, the illustration of Allah's love is difficult to explain in detail because Allah is not like His creatures, but recognition of Allah's love can be achieved through the path that Allah has set. Furthermore, al-Buthi classifies love in the Quran into several categories, namely: Allah's love for humans and the impact of that love in increasing human obedience, then human love for Allah, which is divided into al-hubb al-kasbi and al-hubb al-qadim.Abstrak: Al-Qur’an dalam beberapa ayat menyinggung tentang cinta baik secara tersurat maupun tersirat. Ayat-ayat tersebut kemudian dipahami secara seragam oleh para ulama, namun Said Ramadhan al-Buthi memiliki pandangan yang unik dan berbeda dalam memahami ayat-ayat tersebut. Untuk itu, penelitian ini menekankan pada bagaimana al-Buthi memaknai al-hubb yang terdapat dalam beberapa ayat dalam Alquran dan kemudian mengklasifikasikannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menyingkap makna al-hubb dalam Alquran menurut al-Buthi dan apa saja klasifikasi yang ia lakukan terhadap al-hubb dalam Alquran. Penelitian ini bersifat kepustakaan (library research). Selanjutnya data dianalisis dengan cara analisis deskriptif. Adapun hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa al-Buthi mendefinisikan cinta sebagai suatu perasaan keterikatan terhadap sesuatu dimana seseorang merasa nyaman ketika berdekatan dengan sang objek serta merasa enggan untuk jauh darinya. Namun definisi tersebut hanya layak disematkan kepada manusia, baginya pengilustrasian cinta Allah merupakan sesuatu yang sulit dijelaskan secara gamblang, karena Allah tidaklah serupa dengan makhlukNya, namun pengenalan terhadap cinta Allah dapat dicapai melalui jalan yang telah Allah tetapkan. Selanjutnya al-Buthi mengklasifikasikan al-hubb dalam Alquran menjadi beberapa klasifikasi, yaitu: cinta Allah kepada manusia beserta dampak dari cinta tersebut berupa bertambahnya ketaatan manusia, kemudian cinta manusia kepada Allah yang terbagi kepada al-hubb al-kasbi dan al-hubb al-qadim.

Abstract

Research on the correlation between the intensity of reading the Qur'an and the religious attitude of students requires valid and reliable instruments to measure these two variables. Instrument validity and reliability are important aspects in ensuring the validity of the data obtained. This study aims to prove the validity and reliability of the instrument correlating the intensity of reading the Qur'an and the religious attitude of students. This research uses quantitative methods. The population in this study consisted of students of the Al-Qur'an Science and Tafsir Study Program of UIN Ar-Raniry with a sample size of 30 students selected by simple random sampling. The results of the study prove that the instrument of the correlation of the intensity of reading the Qur'an and the religious attitude of students has sufficient validity and reliability to be used in measuring the correlation of the intensity of reading the Qur'an and the religious attitude of students.

Abstract

The environmental issue has become a global concern, predominantly due to environmental damage caused by human activities. This study aims to explore the concept of the environment in Islam and human responsibility as 'khalifah' (stewards) in maintaining ecological balance and sustainability. The article employs a qualitative method, focusing on literature studies involving Islamic sacred texts and secondary literature related to ecology, environmental law, and ethics in Islam. The study demonstrates that Islam teaches a mutualistic relationship between humans and the environment. Humans, as khalifah, bear significant responsibility in environmental management. Environmental protection is governed in Islamic teachings, encompassing environmental ethics, the concepts of taskhir (subjugation) and khalifah, as well as penalties for environmental offenders. The article emphasizes that environmental conservation is a collective responsibility that must be shouldered by all humans. A holistic approach grounded in Islamic values, integrating law, ethics, and environmental awareness, is essential to address current and future environmental issues. Abstrak Isu lingkungan hidup telah menjadi perhatian global, dengan kerusakan lingkungan yang dominan akibat aktivitas manusia. Studi ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi konsep lingkungan hidup dalam Islam dan tanggung jawab manusia sebagai 'khalifah' dalam menjaga keseimbangan dan kelestarian lingkungan. Artikel ini menggunakan metode kualitatif, berfokus pada studi literatur yang melibatkan teks-teks sakral Islam dan literatur sekunder terkait ekologi, hukum lingkungan, dan etika dalam Islam. Kajian ini menunjukkan bahwa Islam mengajarkan hubungan mutualistik antara manusia dan lingkungan. Manusia, sebagai khalifah, memiliki tanggung jawab besar dalam pengelolaan lingkungan. Perlindungan lingkungan diatur dalam ajaran Islam, yang mencakup etika lingkungan, konsep taskhir dan khalifah, serta hukuman bagi pelaku kerusakan lingkungan. Artikel ini menekankan bahwa pelestarian lingkungan hidup adalah tanggung jawab bersama yang harus diemban oleh semua manusia. Pendekatan holistik yang berlandaskan pada nilai-nilai Islam serta mengitegrasikan hukum, etika, dan kesadaran lingkungan diperlukan untuk mengatasi masalah lingkungan saat ini dan masa depan.

Abstract

This article explores the intricate Qur’anic discourse on human nature, emphasizing the dualism of human existence and the potential for both moral elevation and descent. Employing thematic Tafsir, the study elucidates how the Qur’an portrays human beings as creatures of complex constitution—body, soul, and intellect—crafted in the most perfect form but susceptible to degradation to the lowest states. It further investigates negative human traits such as miserliness, impulsiveness, and injustice, providing a deep dive into traditional exegeses and contemporary interpretations. By analyzing these traits through the Qur’anic lens, the paper offers insights into the ethical and moral challenges humans face and the divine guidance provided to overcome these. Methodologically, the research synthesizes Qur’anic verses and scholarly interpretations, enriched by insights from Sufism and psychology, to construct a comprehensive understanding of human emotional and moral states. The findings suggest that awareness and self-reflection are crucial in mitigating negative traits and fostering a moral and spiritually aligned life.

Abstract

The terms al-Ṭayyibât and al-Khâbisât in QS. al-Nur: 26 have long been central to discussions on Islamic marital ethics, particularly the principle of compatibility (kafa’ah) in moral and spiritual values. This study examines the interpretations of these terms by two prominent scholars: Ibn Jarir al-Thabari, representing classical exegesis, and Muhammad Quraish Shihab, offering a contemporary perspective. Using a comparative and descriptive-analytical approach, the research highlights key differences in their methodologies and contextual applications. Al-Thabari’s interpretation, rooted in asbab al-nuzul and linguistic precision, confines the meaning of al-Ṭayyibât and al-Khâbisât to speech, primarily defending the moral purity of Aisha RA against slander. In contrast, Quraish Shihab broadens the scope to include actions, behaviors, and character, emphasizing the principle of compatibility in relationships. This study finds that while Al-Thabari’s approach focuses on historical textuality, Shihab integrates socio-ethical considerations to address the practical challenges of modern marriage. The findings bridge classical scholarship and contemporary application, contributing to a nuanced understanding of QS. al-Nur: 26 and its relevance to marital ethics.

Abstract

One of the programs to overcome religious conflicts through educational institutions is to develop a curriculum by internalizing the values of religious moderation in textbooks on Al-Qur'an and Hadith subjects. This paper examines the internalization of the values of religious moderation contained in Al-Quran hadith textbooks through the learning process at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 3 Banda Aceh City. It also explores the supporting and inhibiting factors in the implementation. A qualitative approach was conducted through interviews, document review, and observation. Research informants were the principal, teachers who taught Al-Quran Hadith subjects in classes X, XI, and XII, and students representing each class. The data analysis techniques were data reduction, display or presentation of data, and conclusion drawing. The results showed many values of religious moderation in the Al-Quran hadith textbooks. Still, there were no clear and firm explanations for understanding these moderation values because the explanations and interpretations of verses and hadiths presented in the textbooks still need additional, more comprehensive explanations regarding content and from the teacher's side. Teachers internalizing the values of religious moderation still focused on oral presentation (lecture method) even though in other conditions, there is also urgency in implementing these values in direct and indirect learning. The obstacle teachers face in internalizing the values of religious moderation in Al-Quran hadith subjects is the lack of clear and comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the content of religious moderation values and appropriate methods for transforming these values.

Abstract

Komunikasi antara orang tua dan anak merupakan elemen krusial dalam membangun hubungan keluarga yang harmonis serta menjadi media utama penanaman nilai moral, spiritual, dan sosial. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kurangnya kajian mendalam tentang pola dan nilai komunikasi ideal berdasarkan perspektif Al-Qur'an, khususnya dalam Tafsir Ibnu 'Asyur. Penelitian fokus pada pola komunikasi keluarga dalam Al-Qur'an, model komunikasi (linear, interaksional, transaksional), serta nilai-nilai yang terkandung dalam Tafsir Al-Tahrir wa Al-Tanwir dan relevansinya dengan kehidupan modern. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif-deskriptif dengan pendekatan kepustakaan. Data utama berasal dari Tafsir Al-Tahrir wa Al-Tanwir karya Ibnu 'Asyur, dilengkapi literatur sekunder terkait komunikasi dan tafsir Al-Qur'an. Analisis dilakukan menggunakan metode analisis isi untuk mengidentifikasi pola, model, dan nilai komunikasi. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa komunikasi keluarga yang efektif dalam Al-Qur'an mencakup nilai kejujuran, kasih sayang, kebijaksanaan, dan kesabaran. Model linier terlihat dalam dakwah Nabi Ibrāhīm kepada Āzar (QS. Al-An'ām: 74), dengan pesan tegas satu arah. Model interaksional tercermin dalam dialog Luqmān (QS. Luqmān: 13–19), yang menggabungkan pesan jelas dengan dukungan emosional. Model transaksional yang ditampilkan dalam interaksi Nabi Ibrahim dengan ayahnya (QS. Maryam: 42–48), menggambarkan pertukaran pesan logistik dan spiritual. Penelitian ini menganjurkan penerapan komunikasi yang bijaksana dan penuh empati dalam keluarga, integrasi nilai komunikasi Al-Qur'an dalam kurikulum pendidikan keluarga, serta penguatan peran institusi pendidikan dan komunitas untuk menciptakan generasi dengan kesadaran komunikasi Islami. Hasil ini menunjukkan pentingnya penerapan nilai-nilai Al-Qur'an untuk membangun hubungan keluarga yang harmonis sesuai dengan prinsip-prinsip Islam.

Abstract

Istilah ḥāfiẓ secara luas dikenal sebagai sebutan bagi seseorang yang menghafal Al-Qur'an. Namun, dalam Al-Qur'an, kata ḥāfiẓ tidak semata-mata berarti penghafal Al-Qur'an. Sebaliknya, istilah ini memiliki makna yang lebih luas tergantung pada konteksnya. Allah menyebutkan istilah ḥifẓ dan turunannya sebanyak 22 kali dalam 23 surah, dengan total 44 penyebutan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi makna kata ḥāfiẓ dalam Al-Qur'an, berbagai turunannya, serta makna relasionalnya. Penelitian ini merupakan kajian kepustakaan yang menggunakan metode tematik (maudhu'i). Sumber data utama meliputi Al-Qur'an, Tafsῑr al-Ṭabari karya al-Ṭabarῑ, dan Tafsir Fatḥul Qadῑr karya al-Syaukānῑ. Secara umum, istilah ḥāfiẓ dalam Al-Qur'an mencakup tindakan-tindakan yang berkaitan dengan ibadah, seperti ḥāfiẓ al-ṣalāh dalam QS. al-Baqarah: 238, ḥāfiẓ al-furūj dalam QS. al-Mu'minūn, ḥāfiẓ al-amānah dalam QS. Yusuf: 12, ḥāfiẓ al-'amal dalam QS. al-Ṭāriq: 4, ḥāfiẓ al-syaiṭān dalam QS. al-Anbiyā': 82, dan ḥāfiẓ al-Qur'ān dalam QS. al-Ḥijr: 9. Dengan mempertimbangkan makna ḥāfiẓ sebagai penjaga, pelindung, dan pengawas, terdapat karakteristik tertentu yang terkait dengan seorang ḥāfiẓ, yaitu: 1) sebagai penjaga, seorang ḥāfiẓ memiliki sifat amanah, berpengetahuan, disiplin, dan menjauhi dosa. 2) sebagai pelindung, seorang ḥāfiẓ menunjukkan kewibawaan, keberanian, kasih sayang, dan kekuatan. 3) sebagai pengawas, seorang ḥāfiẓ yang menunjukkan ketaatan, ketelitian, dan komitmen terhadap perbuatan baik.

Abstract

The book al-Wāridāt al-Ilāhiyyah fī al-Tafsīr ‘alā Ṭarīqati al-Ṣūfiyyah bi al-Isyārah wa Ṣarīḥ al-‘Ibārah by Muhammad al-Bayṭār is a Sufi interpretation of the Qur’an that has received limited attention in academic studies, especially concerning the meanings of creation (al-khalq), humanity (al-insāniyyah), and prophethood (al-nubuwwah). This study aims to explore how these three concepts are interpreted within a Sufi framework. The method used was a qualitative literature-based study with an ishārī interpretation approach and thematic analysis. The primary source is the 2005 printed edition by Dār al-Kitāb al-‘Arabī, focusing on selected sections (wāridāt) that convey spiritual symbolism. The findings show that creation in this tafsir is viewed as a process of tajallī (divine manifestation), positioning humans as mirrors of the cosmos. Humanity is portrayed as a spiritual journey toward the knowledge of God (ma‘rifah), while prophethood represents the highest form of human perfection (insān kāmil), particularly as embodied in the figures of Prophet Adam and Prophet Muhammad. This tafsir is structured thematically and blends philosophical Sufism with Qur’anic symbolism.The study concludes that the book al-Wāridāt al-Ilāhiyyah deserves recognition as an important reference in Sufi exegesis. It contributes to enriching alternative approaches to understanding the Qur’an and encourages further philological and comparative studies of the work within the context of contemporary Qur’anic scholarship.
