Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh merebaknya pandemi Covid-19 yang menuntut semua pihak untuk siap dalam kondisi pembelajaran jarak jauh sebagai tuntutan tantangan di masa pandemi ini Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi kesiapan guru SMA bahasa Jepang mengenai konsep pembelajaran daring dan penggunaan media pembelajaran daring berbasis HOTS di masa pandemi Covid-19. Hal tersebut bertujuan untuk melihat kesiapan guru bahasa Jepang dalam meningkatkan interaksi akademik antara guru dan siswa. Partisipan dalam kegiatan ini adalah 60 guru mata pelajaran bahasa Jepang SMA / SMK / MA yang ada di Jawa Barat, dan 20 guru MGMP Bahasa Jepang sebagai pilot studinya. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui angket, dokumentasi (media pembelajaran online), dan wawancara dianalisis menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kompetensi dan pemahaman guru muda lebih siap menghadapi tantangan pembelajaran daring dibandingkan dengan guru yang lebih senior. Media aplikasi daring pun bermacam-macam. Penelitian selanjutnya membutuhkan analisis mendalam tentang apakah interaksi akademik dapat mempengaruhi siswa dan guru secara psikologis dan membantu meningkatkan prestasi belajar siswa.

Abstract

The study was aimed to discover the form of comics used in language learning and the development process, as well as the style of the Comic suitable with the interest of Japanese language students used in the previous study, which is expected to elaborate types of necessary research in the future for Japanese language teaching material development. There were 20 articles reviewed related to comics development for language learning. Based on the review result, it was found that 1) There are two types of comics, namely 1-Panel Comic used to explain one specific material and 4-Panel Comic used for conversation materials. However, there has yet any research related to comics development in the form of comic books; 2) In terms of process, both types of comics are formulated and developed by referring to a curriculum and learning plan so that the comics may assist students in understanding learning material; 3) Comic styles discussed in previous researches refer to American comic style, and thus less suitable to be used as Japanese language learning materials. The style used in Japanese comics is predicted to be more attractive for Japanese language students. However, there has yet any scientific study on the development of Japanese style comics in Japanese language learning.

Abstract

Many Japanese language learning modules have been prepared or developed independently by each department or study program. To get a new Japanese learning experience, students need learning media that present interesting and up-to-date, which can be accessed online anytime, anywhere. Interactive online modules are one of the media that can make this happen. Students can download and access the online module as an ebook via their PCs, laptops, or devices. The online module materials have links directly connected to explanation videos related to basic Japanese. In each chapter of the material, there are also interactive quizzes that can test students' insights. The method used in this research is Reeves' DBR (Design-Based Research) model, which consists of four phases. Phase 1 is in the form of identifying material, media, and module needs through interviews. Phase 2 is creating and preparing online modules following the syllabus for the basic Japanese course material. Furthermore, in phase 3, the module was tested twice on students who chose the basic Japanese courses. In phase 4, the trial data will be analyzed, and then it will be explained whether the online module that has been developed can be used in learning Basic Japanese. The results of the questionnaire in the trial showed that all aspects of the assessment received good responses and were included in the high category so that the module could be used in online elementary-level Japanese learning. Even so, it still needs several revisions and refinements related to evaluation questions and the content of the module's material before it can be implemented in learning in the following years. AbstrakBanyak modul pembelajaran bahasa Jepang yang telah disusun maupun dikembangkan mandiri oleh tiap jurusan atau program studi. Untuk mendapatkan pengalaman belajar bahasa Jepang baru, pemelajar memerlukan media pembelajaran yang menyajikan materi-materi menarik dan up to date, yang dapat diakses secara daring kapan saja, di mana saja. Modul digital interaktif adalah salah satu media yang dapat mewujudkan hal tersebut. Modul digital berupa ebook dapat diunduh dan diakses pemelajar melalui PC, laptop, maupun gawai masing-masing. Materi-materi dalam modul digital memiliki tautan-tautan yang terkoneksi langsung ke video-video penjelasan terkait bahasa Jepang dasar, dan di tiap chapter materi terdapat pula kuis-kuis interaktif yang dapat menguji wawasan pemelajar. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah DBR (Design Based Research) model Reeves yang terdiri dari empat tahap. Tahap 1 berupa identifikasi kebutuhan materi, media, dan modul melalui wawancara. Tahap 2 adalah pembuatan dan penyusunan modul digital sesuai dengan silabus materi mata kuliah-mata kuliah bahasa Jepang dasar. Selanjutnya pada tahap 3, modul diujicobakan sebanyak dua kali pada mahasiswa yang mengontrak mata kuliah-mata kuliah bahasa Jepang level dasar. Pada tahap 4, data uji coba akan dianalisis dan kemudian akan dipaparkan apakah modul digital yang telah dikembangkan dapat digunakan dalam pembelajaran bahasa Jepang dasar. Hasil angket pada uji coba menunjukkan bahwa semua aspek penilaian mendapat respon baik dan termasuk kategori tinggi, sehingga modul dapat digunakan dalam pembelajaran daring Bahasa Jepang tingkat dasar. Meski begitu, masih perlu beberapa revisi dan penyempurnaan kembali terkait soal-soal evaluasi dan isi materi pada modul sebelum dapat benar-benar diimplementsikan dalam pembelajaran di tahun-tahun berikutnya.Kata Kunci: Bahasa Jepang; modul digital; pembelajaran daring

Abstract

Each song lyric has a message that the writer wants to convey to the listener about what the writer feels and thinks. This research discusses how Japanese female idols are represented in the opening soundtrack of the anime song “Oshi no Ko” which is currently being discussed among Japanese idol fans. The song titled “Idol” is the work of a duo band known as Yoasobi, telling a story of anxiety and sadness in the romance of Japanese youth life but accompanied by uplifting techno music. When song lyrics are made based on commercial interests, the meaning of the text should be criticized to find out who is in a dominating position and who is not. The song “Idol” in this research is analyzed using Sara Mills’sCritical Discourse Analysis (CDA) (1997) with a feminist perspective to analyze the presentation of the storyteller (subject) and the told (object). The results of this study show that the position of female idols as objects is shown as a figure who does not talk about herself much, her desires and feelings are less well conveyed. Female idols are shown more from the fans’ point of view as the position of the storyteller (subject). The position of female idols in the lyrics is only shown by stereotypical idol characters who are required to have a positive image, have high loyalty to fans, are required to be perfect by covering all flaws, and are prohibited from dating. Although the song “Idol” is an anime soundtrack that discusses the other side of idol life, in this song, the opportunity to voice the thoughts and what female idols want to express is not well displayed. Thus, the lyricist only presents female idols based on what they want for the sake of desire and sexual objects. This research only uses one main data source, namely song lyrics. It is hoped that future research can use a variety of main data sources such as anime or manga.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to provide opportunities for teachers to gain, strengthen and increase knowledge and experience about online-based Japanese language learning models, explore online-based Japanese language learning models that can be used in their classroom contexts and apply learning models Japanese in their respective classes effectively. The target of this activity is Japanese language teachers at the SMA/SMK/MA level throughout Indonesia. This activity was carried out online through three webinars which were mapped into three stages. The first stage is the distribution of questionnaires containing questions regarding experiences of exploring and using online-based learning models before being given training. This stage was not carried out via webinar but was collected via a Google form which was sent to the participants. The data was processed to obtain their background regarding their experience of using online-based Japanese language learning models in their respective schools. The second stage included two webinars that presented presentations and simulations from experts and practitioners of online-based Japanese language learning models, especially in teaching letters, vocabulary, grammar and skills including listening, reading, writing and speaking. The final stage is practice in the form of a simulation for the participants in using online-based Japanese language learning models which have been presented in two webinars. At the end of the activity, a questionnaire containing questions about experiences and impressions of using online-based learning models after training will be distributed. Through this training activity, it is hoped that Japanese language teachers in Indonesia can apply existing online-based learning models effectively so that the predetermined learning competencies can be achieved and students become competent in Japanese.

Abstract

Pembelajar bahasa Jepang di SMA masih kesulitan dalam mengingat kosakata bahasa Jepang. Hal tersebut ditunjukkan dari observasi yang dilakukan sebelum penelitian di SMA Labschool UPI. Hal tersebut disebabkan kurangnya media pembelajaran. Namun di era digital yang sudah canggih, media pembelajaran bisa dikembangkan menjadi bentuk multimedia. Dengan demikian, tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu mengetahui efektivitas penggunaan media flashcard terhadap kemampuan kosakata bahasa Jepang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen semu dengan desain one group pretest-posttest. Subjek dari penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X-1 SMA Labschool UPI. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai t-hitung 21,19 > t-tabel 2,06 pada derajat bebas (db) 25 dan taraf signifikan 2,06 dan 2,78. Berdasarkan hal tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa media flashcard dapat meningkatkan kemampuan kosakata bahasa Jepang dan efektif digunakan dalam pembelajaran bahasa Jepang. Media flashcard ini diharapkan dapar dijadikan bahan pengajaran, dikembangkan lebih lanjut menyangkut kemampuan lain dalam mata pelajaran lain, dan dapat dilakukan penelitian lanjutan dengan menggunakan sampel yang lebih besar dan materi yang lebih luas.

Abstract

Mempelajari tata bahasa yang benar dalam bahasa Jepang menjadi salah satu hal terpenting. Pembelajar harus memahami tata bahasa yang tepat dan benar sesuai dengan ketentuan yang berlaku. Berbagai aplikasi pembelajaran sudah tersedia salah satunya aplikasi Hey Japan:Learn Japanese. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui pengaruh dari penerapan media aplikasi Hey Jepang dalam pembelajaran tata bahasa Jepang dasar. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan menggunakan one group pretest-posttest design. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, diperoleh nilai rata-rata pre-test 41, 61 dan post-test 87,61, t-hitung 14,23 sedangkan t-tabel untuk db (25) dengan taraf signifikan 5% = 2,06 dan t-tabel dengan taraf signifikan 1% = 2,77. Dan dapat disimpulkan bahwa t-hitung lebih besar daripada t-tabel, maka hipotesis kerja (Hk) diterima. Hal ini membuktikan bahwa media pembelajaran berbasis aplikasi smartpohne ini dapat dapat dijadikan alternatif sebagai media belajar bahasa Jepang khususnya pada pembelajaran tata bahasa yang menarik, mudah digunakan dan fleksibel.

Abstract

This study analyzed the misuse of Japanese -sa and -mi suffixes among intermediate learners. The purpose of this research is to describe the suffix usage errors along with their classification and causative factors. The method used in this research is quantitative descriptive method. Based on the analysis, overall errors rate is 46% with -sa suffix usage errors amounting to 29,76% and -mi suffix error usage amounting to 58,33%. The language deviation found classified as errors and mistake, linguistically, the errors classified as morphological and lexical errors, and based on surface strategy the errors classified as misformation. Most of the errors found are intralingual errors caused by overgeneralization, avoidance, ignorance of rule restriction, false concepts hypothesized, and learning strategy. Improving the understanding of both learners and teachers is important to prevent continuous errors. Further research on sakubun making is expected to explore new findings.

Abstract

Abstrak: Terdapat beberapa permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh mahasiswa dalam menjalankan usaha kerajinan rajut, di antaranya produk yang dihasilkan belum beragam, serta kurangnya pemahaman mahasiswa tentang bagaimana membaca pola dan memilih benang yang sesuai dengan produk yang akan dibuat. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut, tujuan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat berbasis kewirausahaan ini adalah meningkatkan skill mahasiswa terkait kemampuan merajut, yang meliputi (1) Memperkaya model-model rajutan; (2)Dapat membaca pola rajutan; dan (3) Dapat memilih benang sesuai jenis rajutan yang dibuat. Metode kegiatan pengabdian yang dilakukan adalah melalui workshop, dengan mitra kegiatan adalah mahasiswa Prodi Pendidikan Bahasa Jepang sebanyak 3 orang. Evaluasi dilakukan dengan melihat hasil produk mahasiswa yang dihasilkan berupa crochet. Produk yang dibuat kemudian dipamerkan kepada para dosen dan mahasiswa lain dalam kegiatan pendampingan berikutnya. Hasil yang telah dicapai kegiatan ini adalah adanya peningkatan keterampilan merajut mahasiswa, baik soft skill maupun hard skill sebesar 80%. Adanya peningkatan keterampilan merajut mahasiswa dapat dijadikan acuan untuk melakukan kegiatan wirausaha berikutnya, yaitu merajut crochet yang memiliki kekhasan Jepang.Abstract: There are several problems faced by students in running a knitting craft business, including the products produced are not yet diverse, as well as students' lack of understanding about how to read patterns and choose a yarn that suits the product to be made. Based on these problems, the objective of this entrepreneurship-based Community Service is to improve students' skills related to knitting abilities, which include (1) Enriching knitted models; (2) Reading knitting patterns; and (3) Choosing yarn according to the type of knitting being made. The service activities method is carried out through workshops, with the activity partners being 3 Japanese Language Education Study Program students. Evaluation is carried out by looking at the results of student products produced in the form of crochet. The products are then exhibited to lecturers and other students in subsequent mentoring activities. The results achieved by this activity are an increase in students' knitting skills, both soft skills and hard skills, by 80%. The increase in students' knitting skills can be used as a reference for carrying out the next entrepreneurial activity, namely knitting crochet with Japanese characteristics.

Abstract

Writing a research proposal is one of the requirements for university students to be able to write an undergraduate thesis. It requires high academic writing skills that most students find challenging. Even so, this skill can still be taught as long as lecturers have knowledge of students’ abilities and difficulties in writing. This qualitative study is conducted to serve this purpose. They involve two data collection methods: document analysis and Focused Group Discussion (FGD). This case-study research investigated problems and causes in writing a research proposal faced by students studying Program Japanese Language at a public university in Bandung in writing a research proposal. The results were analyzed from general and specific factors as follows: generally, their problems lie in the lack of students’ knowledge of systematicity, components, and elements supporting the components of a research proposal. Further, three factors were responsible for the causes of the problems, including low-quality references, insufficient information provided in the teaching materials and the teaching, and less exposure and effort on readings. The results of identifying the problems and causes will be used as a reference for developing teaching materials for writing research proposals in the Research Methodology Course. AbstrakSebagian besar mahasiswa jenjang pendidikan Sarjana menganggap penulisan proposal cukup menantang karena membutuhkan keterampilan menulis akademis yang tinggi. Pengetahuan tentang menulis akademik memegang peranan penting untuk membantu mahasiswa mengembangkan kemampuan dan meminimalisir kesulitan mereka dalam menulis proposal penelitian skripsi. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan melibatkan dua jenis metode pengumpulan data yaitu analisis dokumen (dokumen proposal penelitian) dan Focus Group Discussion (FGD). Penelitian studi kasus ini menyelidiki apa yang menjadi penyebab permasalahan dalam penulisan proposal penelitian yang dihadapi mahasiswa Program Studi Bahasa Jepang di salah satu perguruan tinggi negeri di Bandung. Dokumen dan data FGD dianalisis berdasarkan faktor umum dan faktor khusus, dan memiliki hasil sebagai berikut; permasalahan secara umum terletak pada kurangnya pengetahuan mahasiswa mengenai sistematika, komponen, dan unsur pendukung komponen proposal penelitian; sedangkan permasalahan khusus yang ditemukan adalah kesulitan mahasiswa dalam menentukan tema atau topik, mengorganisasikan ide dan teks, dan menggunakan fitur-fitur kebahasaan. Lebih jauh lagi, terdapat tiga faktor yang menjadi penyebab permasalahan-permasalahan tersebut, yaitu rendahnya kualitas referensi, kurangnya informasi yang diberikan dalam bahan ajar dan pengajaran, serta kurangnya upaya dalam membaca. Hasil identifikasi masalah dan penyebab yang didapat dari penelitian ini akan dijadikan acuan pengembangan bahan ajar penulisan proposal penelitian pada Mata Kuliah Metodologi Penelitian.Kata Kunci: Proposal penelitian; masalah; mata kuliah metodologi penelitian; menulis; skripsi.
