Abstract

Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan dari penelitian untuk: (1) mengetahui tingkat keterlibatan keluarga, (2) mengetahui tingkat ketaatan beragama, dan (3) mengetahui hubungan antara keterlibatan keluarga (family involvement) dengan ketaatan beragama di sekolah berbasis asrama pada siswa SMP IT se-Wilayah Gunungpati Semarang. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif deskriptif korelasional. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan yaitu cluster sampling dan  proportionate stratified random sampling dengan jumlah 251 siswa dari total 859 siswa yang tersebar di seluruh kelas VII, VIII dan IX. Alat pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu skala psikologis, baik skala psikologis keterlibatan keluarga maupun skala psikologis ketaatan beragama. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu analisis deskriptif dan analisis Product Moment Pearson. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ketaatan beragama memiliki rata-rata kriteria sangat tinggi dengan persentase sebesar 61,4%, tingkat keterlibatan keluarga memiliki rata-rata kriteria tinggi dengan persentase sebesar 75,3%, dan terdapat hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara keterlibatan keluarga (family involvement) dengan ketaatan beragama di sekolah berbasis asrama pada siswa SMP IT se-wilayah Gunungpati Semarang dengan rhitung 0,46 > rtabel 0,113 dan nilai (p) 0,000 < 0,05

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keefektifan bimbingan klasikal metode jigsaw untuk meningkatkan komunikasi interpersonal siswa SMA Negeri 4 Kota tegal. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian eksperimen dengan menggunakan desain pre-experimental one group pretest-posttest design. Subjek pada penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI IPA 3 SMA Negeri 4 Kota Tegal dengan jumlah sampel 30 siswa yang diambil menggunakan teknik simple random sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah skala psikologi dengan instrumen skala komunikasi interpersonal siswa. Analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif kuantitatif dan uji beda (t-test). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata komunikasi interpersonal siswa sebelum diberikan perlakuan sebesar 133,6 (kategori rendah) dan setelah diberikan perlakuan meningkat menjadi 238,8 (kategori sangat tinggi). Berdasarkan uji beda (t-test) dengan N = 30 dan taraf kesalahan 5% diketahui bahwa thitung > ttabel (17,128 > 2,042), maka Ha diterima dan Ho ditolak. Pada penelitian ini, dapat disimpulkan bahwa bimbingan klasikal metode jigsaw efektif digunakan untuk meningkatkan komunikasi interpersonal siswa SMA Negeri 4 Kota Tegal.

Abstract

Reading comprehension skills are a major focus in Indonesian language learning, especially in grade IX, as narrative comprehension helps students relate information in a broader context. The purpose of this study is to provide comprehensive guidelines for the development of more effective Indonesian learning materials and to strengthen the reading comprehension skills of grade IX students. This study evaluates the readability using Fry's Graph Formula and the effectiveness of sentences in narrative texts as teaching materials for reading comprehension in grade IX Indonesian literacy narrative books. By using the Fry's Graph Formula analysis method, this research helps to adapt the text to the intended grade level. Of the six narrative texts analyzed, there are three that have good readability, two that have poor readability, and one that has poor readability. In addition, this study analyzed sentence ineffectiveness. Sentence ineffectiveness can be caused by various reasons, such as word inefficiency, inaccurate use of conjunctions, inaccuracy in word usage, inaccurate use of punctuation, and meaninglessness. The results of the study provide insight into the quality of grade IX Indonesian literacy narrative teaching materials and contribute to improving students' reading comprehension and ability. The readability and effectiveness of the sentences in the grade IX Indonesian literacy narrative book are very important to ensure that the material presented can be well understood by students, thus having a positive impact on the learning process and the achievement of learning objectives.

Abstract

This article explores the phenomenon of culture shock experienced by new santri in pesantren in Semarang City and its implications for their adjustment process. This research uses a qualitative approach with a narrative study method, involving six new santri who were interviewed about their experiences when they first arrived at the pesantren. The results show that new santri often feel shocked and lonely due to the significant differences in the environment compared to their homes. They face challenges in managing their time, adapting to a busy routine, and interacting with new people. Support from peers and pesantren administrators proved important in helping them overcome culture shock. This article suggests the need for guidance and counseling programs to accelerate the adjustment process of new santri, and emphasizes that this experience can be a valuable lesson for them in facing new environments in the future.

Abstract

The widespread use of smartphones has given rise to the phenomenon of phubbing, where individuals prioritize their devices over face-to-face interactions. The purpose of this study is to explore phubbing as a communication ethics challenge and its impact on emotional well-being in personal relationships. The method used in this study is a literature review involving national and international indexed journals obtained through Google Scholar, Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ), and ERIC (Educational Resources Information Center), Taylor & Francis, Springer, Elsevier with a span of 2017-2024. The findings of this study reveal that phubing can have a negative impact on interpersonal relationships and individual psychological well-being. This behavior can damage communication, reduce the quality of personal relationships, and trigger psychological problems such as anxiety, depression, and feelings of loneliness. Therefore, interventions in guidance and counseling are needed to deal with phubbing more comprehensivel.

Abstract

Digital technology has had a profound impact on contemporary parenting patterns, particularly among children born in the digital era. This study aims to examine the influence of digital parenting on enhancing early childhood development by employing a comprehensive literature review.It synthesizes extant research findings to elucidate the relationship between digital parenting and child development.The findings indicate that effective digital parenting practices, such as content monitoring, time restriction, and digital ethics education, can contribute to the development of quality children. Additionally, the study underscores the significance of open communication between parents and children in mitigating the potential adverse impacts of digital technology.This research offers novel insights into the pivotal role of parents in guiding children in the digital age and puts forth practical strategies that can be integrated into daily parenting practices.

Abstract

One of the communities most often looked at or interested by students is the student community of nature lovers. This community offers in-depth knowledge about interesting activities that can be done in nature, so it can be a place for students who have more interest in nature. There are many reasons why they have an interest in doing activities in nature, including hobbies, fomo, and the most common reason is because they want to overcome stress. According to them, activities in nature such as hiking, trekking, and diving can be a therapy when they are experiencing problems. In addition, nature provides positive energy that makes the brain fresh. The purpose of this study is to discuss the benefits of nature as therapy for the student community of nature lovers. In this study we used a qualitative approach with a focus on phenomenology, data collection techniques were carried out using in-depth interview methods. This research is expected to provide an overview of activities in nature that can be used as therapy to overcome stress, add relationships and alternative vacations.

Abstract

The focus of this research is to examine the relationship between body image and social acceptance towards the self-confidence of Instagram users. This study uses a correlational quantitative approach with data collection techniques utilizing interviews, questionnaires, and psychological scales in the form of Likert scales. The population and sample of this research are students S1 from the Faculty of Education and Psychology who are Instagram users. The validity test of this study is supported by the Statistical Product and Services Solutions (SPSS) version 26 using the Pearson product-moment formula. The instrument's validity is measured based on the correlation significance test > at a significance level of 5%. The research results show that body image, social acceptance, and self-confidence of Instagram users among undergraduate students of the Faculty of Education and Psychology at Universitas Negeri Semarang are in the moderate category. Body image and social acceptance have a relationship with self-confidence of 56%. The remaining percentage is influenced by predictors or other variables that were not examined in this study.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of peer support and career decision-making on the career interest of Madrasah Aliyah students in Kebonagung District. Using a quantitative approach with purposive sampling, 100 respondents from two accredited private Madrasahs were involved. Three instruments were employed: Instrument A measured peer support based on Sarafino (2011) and Cutrona & Russell (1990), consisting of 4 items covering emotional, instrumental, informational, and appraisal support. Instrument B assessed career decision-making using indicators from Super’s theory (via Creed & Patton, 2004), with 4 items covering career planning, exploration, work information, and decision-making. Instrument C measured career interest based on Holland’s theory (1997), including 4 items: consistency, differentiation, congruence, and calculus. All instruments passed the validity test. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Square Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) via SmartPLS 4. Results showed that peer support and career decision-making significantly influence students’ career interest. These findings confirm Holland’s and Super’s theoretical frameworks and highlight the essential role of peer dynamics and structured decision-making in adolescent career development.

Abstract

Online game addiction has emerged as a significant concern in the contemporary digital era, particularly among adolescents and students. This condition poses detrimental impacts on psychological well-being, social functioning, and academic achievement. The present study aims to investigate the role of guidance and counseling services in mitigating online game addiction through the lens of digital well-being, employing a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) methodology. Relevant national and international journal articles published within the past decade were systematically analyzed. The findings indicate that guidance and counseling interventions are effective in fostering self-awareness, improving time management skills, and promoting healthy digital behaviors among individuals affected by online gaming addiction. The digital well-being framework serves as a critical foundation for cultivating a more balanced and mindful interaction between individuals and technology. The study concludes by underscoring the necessity of integrating guidance and counseling strategies with digital well-being principles to address online game addiction in a comprehensive and sustainable manner.
