Abstract

This research is an experimental study that is testing the drilling process to analyze the decrease in cutting temperature from the implementation of the cooling system design results on the IXION BT 25 bench drill. This test was carried out at the Mechanical Engineering Laboratory of Unsrat. The data used in this study are primary data obtained directly from testing the drilling process without cooling and with cooling by varying the diameter of the drill chisel 8 mm, 12 mm, 17 mm, and 23 mm. The results of this study are in the form of a graph of the relationship between the diameter of the drill bit and the cutting temperature without cooling, the graph of the relationship between the diameter of the drill bit and the cutting temperature with the cooler and the graph of the relationship between the diameter of the drill bit and the cutting temperature without and using a cooler linearly. The conclusion of the research implementation of the cooling system design results for measuring cutting temperature on the bench drill IXION BT 25, shows that in the first experiment for a drill chisel diameter of 8 mm the temperature decreased by 21.7%, in the second experiment for a drill chisel diameter of 12 mm it reduced the temperature to 32. ,5%, in the third experiment for the diameter of the drill chisel 17 mm lower the temperature 65.5% and in the fourth experiment for the diameter of the drill chisel 23 mm lower the temperature 65.2%. Thus, the larger the diameter of the drill chisel used, the greater the temperature drop. Thus the implementation of the results of the cooling system design for measuring the cutting temperature on the IXION BT 25 bench drill can stabilize the cutting temperature so that it will extend the life of the drill tool. Keywords: Drill Chisel Diameter, Cutting Temperature, Cooling System Design

Abstract

This study discusses how to determine the life of the drill chisel in the process of cutting workpieces using coolant and whether the cutting speed will affect the life of the chisel on the IXION BT 25 bench drill machine. The purpose of this study was to analyze the age of the chisel by varying the cutting speed and conducting linear regression analysis to determine the effect of cutting speed on the chisel life of the IXION BT 25 bench drill machine.The test results of the drill process on bench drill IXION BT 25 that has been developed using coolant obtained the first point cutting speed of 28,903 m / minute resulting in a chisel life of 0.019 minutes, the second point cutting speed of 29,908 m / minute resulting in a chisel life of 0.058 minutes and the third point cutting speed of 30,159 m / minute resulting in a chisel life of 0.108 minutes. From these results it is seen that the life of the chisel in the drill process using coolant will be increased by increasing the cutting speed. The results of linear regression analysis obtained by Y=-1.7697+0.0617X, this shows that the effect of cutting speed on the chisel life of the test results conducted on ixion BT 25 bench drill machines that have been developed using coolant that is each cutting speed increased by 1 m / minute will decrease the chisel life by 0.0617 minutes. Keywords: Cutting Speed, Chisel Life, IXION BT 25 bench drill machine

Abstract

A milling machine is a machine that changes or renews the surface of a workpiece using a cutting tool (Milling cutter) which rotates perpendicular to its axis. The milling process is a machine tool that produces the same chips as other cutting machine tools, so it is closely related to the cutting results on the surface quality of the workpiece. In the milling process there are several machining parameters that influence the quality of the surface quality, namely the main cutting angle and the workpiece feed motion or feeding and the direction of the feed motion. This research is experimental research, namely by carrying out tests on a milling machine by varying 12 rotations of the milling machine to obtain the surface quality of the workpiece for each rotation. This type of research method is a quantitative method used to obtain the influence of one independent variable in the form of spindle speed on the dependent variable in the form of surface quality of the workpiece resulting from cutting on the HERCUS 7264 milling machine in the feed directionup milling and down milling. The analysis results obtained from this research show that the actual surface quality of the workpiece is good for the up milling feed direction at a spindle speed of 112.312 m/minute or at a milling machine rotation of 715 rpm resulting in a surface quality of 0.824????m, while the direction of nutritiondown milling at a spindle speed of 72,257 rpm or a milling machine rotation of 480 rpm produces a surface quality of 1,104????m. Keywords: Spindle Speed, Surface Quality of Test Objects, Freis HERCUS CF 7264 Machine ABSTRAK Mesin freis adalah mesin yang membuat perubahan atau memperbaharui permukaan benda kerja dengan menggunakan alat potong (Milling cutter) yang berputar tegak lurus pada sumbunya. Proses freis merupakan mesin perkakas yang menghasilkan geram sama dengan mesin perkakas potong lainnya, sehingga berhubungan erat dengan hasil pemotongan kualitas permukaan benda kerja. Proses freis ada beberapa parameter pemesinan yang mempengaruhi kualitas kualitas permukaan adalah sudut potong utama dan gerak makan benda kerja atau feeding dan arah gerak makan Penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen, yaitu dengan melakukan pengujian pada mesin freis dengan menvariasikan 12 putaran mesin freis untuk mendapatkan kualitas permukaan benda kerja setiap putaran.Jenis metode penelitian ini metode kuantitatif yang digunakan untuk mendapatkan pengaruh variabel bebas satu variabel berupa kecepatan spindel terhadap variabel terikat berupa kualitas permukaan benda kerja hasil pemotongan pada mesin freis HERCUS 7264 dengan arah pemakanan up milling dan down milling. Hasil analisis yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa secara aktual kualitas permukaan benda kerja yang baik untuk arah pemakanan up milling pada kecepatan spindel 112,312 m/menit atau pada putaran mesin freis 715 rpm menghasilkan kualitas permukaan 0,824 ????m, sedangkan arah pemakanan down milling pada kecepatan spindel 72,257 rpm atau putaran mesin freis 480 rpm menghasilkan kulaitas permukaan 1,104 ????m. Abstract

The Community Partnership Program (PKM) is about training on the MIG Flux Core Arc Welding method for men of the fatherhood (PKB) Elia Getsemani Paal IV. This activity aims to provide training in non-gas MIG Flux core arc welding methods for men of the father Getsemani Paal IV to open up entrepreneurial opportunities and increase competitiveness when looking for work, The impact of this community partnership program for the men of Elijah Getsemani Paal IV can add participants' insights about work safety in welding work, welding methods, and joining techniques to the non-gas MIG Flux core arc welding method. Abstract

The purpose of this study is to design and create a cooling system on the BV 20 lathe. The method used in this study is the design method by conducting direct design manufacturing based on the condition of the BV 20 lathe and designs by calculating the total head pump and pumping heading. The manufacturing process is carried out starting from the identification of working drawings and identification of components using existing tools or machines, ordering and procuring the market for other components. Abstract

The purpose of this research is to get the relationship, predict the relationship and analyze the effect of variations in cutting parameters on the heat of heat that is carried by the gristle on the HERCUS CF 7264 freis machine. This research is an experimental research, namely by conducting tests on the freis machine in the Unsrat Mechanical Engineering Laboratory by varying the cutting parameters in the form of freis machine rotation as an independent variable to obtain the heat that is carried by the slurry as the dependent variable. The results of the analysis of this study are from 12 tests with variations in cutting parameters in the form of freis machine rotation to the heat carried by the graver. It can be seen that the actual relationship is that with the increase in the rotation of the freis machine, the heat carried by the grind increases. The results of simple linear regression analysis obtained the regression line equation y ̂ = 47.75 + 0.095x. This shows the effect of variations in cutting parameters in the form of milling machine rotation on the heat carried by the slurry on the HERCUS 7264 milling machine which predicts that every increase in rotation of 1 rpm, the heat with the down milling feeding direction will increase by 0.095 J/min. Abstract

Program Kemitran Masyarakat (PKM) mengangkat topik tentang Pelatihan Computer Aided Design 3D Menggunakan Aplikasi Solidworks untuk SMK Cokroaminoto Kotamobagu. Siswa SMK dalam mendesain gambar teknik masih menerapkan secara manual, sehingga kurang presisi dan waktu pekerjaan relatif lama dalam mendesain gambar teknik tersebut. Solusi yang ditawarkan berupa pelatihan CAD 3D yaitu menggunakan aplikasi solidworks­, sehingga dapat memberikan pengetahuan tentang menggambar teknik dengan metode digital bagi Siswa SMK Cokroaminoto Kotamobagu. Melalui program kemitraan masyarakat bagi siswa SMK Cokroaminoto Kotamobagu ini diharapkan dalam mendesain gambar teknik waktu pengerjaan lebih cepat, mudah diperbaiki jika terdapat kesalahan, mudah diduplikasikan dan ketrampilan sketsa tangan tidak terlalu diutamakan.
