Abstract

Working as a fisherman is a job that has a fairly high level of risk. In addition, the income received from fish catches is not fully able to meet the economic needs of his family. There are many factors that can cause fishermen income such as capital, fishing gear, fishing time and other factors. The purpose of this study was to analyze the factors that influence the income of Rawai fishing in the Sumpang Binagae Village in Barru regency. The method used in this research is quantitative descriptive. The population in this study were 46 family heads of fishermen in Sumpang Binangae Village. Data collection techniques through observation, documentation, interviews and questionnaires while the data analysis technique used is multiple regression analysis. The results showed that the size of the income of fishermen who use fishing gear significantly and significantly influenced by the variable working capital, fishing gear, length of sea fishing and experience while the dependent variables of family, education and age did not significantly influence the income of fishermen. Income for longline fishing has a good income level due to the type of fish catches that have economic value or higher selling prices.

Abstract

Coffee shops or cafes have the potential to create crowds of customers and of course have a high risk of spreading Covid-19. Therefore, research is needed that aims to describe the strategy of cafe managers in preventing the spread of Covid-19 and customer perceptions of this strategy. The design of this research is descriptive qualitative with a case study approach. Research informants are cafe managers and loyal customers who are selected by purposive sampling. The research was conducted at the Kastem Coffee, Samarinda City in August 2021. The information collected was analyzed qualitatively. The results obtained information that cafe managers and customers since the pandemic until the research was carried out had still implemented the Covid-19 health protocol. The cafe manager plans to develop models to prevent the spread of Covid-19 in the cafe environment through cross subsidies and mutual assistance to fellow customers. Cafe customers agree and support, have not made a choice, and do not agree with the model development plan. The results of this study can be taken into consideration for managers of similar businesses and other types of businesses in supporting business environment free of Covid-19.

Abstract

Safety aspect and welfare level of garbage volunteers are often neglected. This study aims to find the right strategy in maintaining the safety and improving the welfare of garbage volunteers in Samarinda City. This type of qualitative research with a phenomonological design. The informants were five garbage volunteers in Teluk Lerong Ulu Village, Samarinda City who were selected by purposive sampling with the criteria of working for at least three years, being able to communicate effectively, and being willing to be interviewed. The research was carried out in January 2023 through interviews, observation and literature studies. Data were analyzed through reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study obtained information that garbage volunteers continued to carry out their routine of transporting household waste in residential areas even though they were not workers. They work without paying attention to work safety and without a steady income. The Samarinda City Government through the Environmental Service can provide safety equipment and fittings and pay attention to the welfare of waste volunteers by providing a decent income. In addition, the cultural values of Betulungan within the Samarinda City community can be implemented to help waste volunteers stay safe and live a decent life.

Abstract

This type of research uses quantitative research with a descriptive approach. The sample used was 60 respondents from students of the 2020 and 2021 generations of Economic Education. Data analysis used is multiple linear regression analysis. The results of this study showed the results of the T test for the price variable with a significance value of 0.003 < 0.05 and the calculated t count of 3.139 > t table = 2.002. Then it can be concluded that the price partially has a significant effect on the purchase decision. T test results for product quality variables with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05 and the value of t count = 4.502 > t table = 2.002. It can be concluded that the quality of the product is partially a significant influence on purchasing decisions. F test calculation results obtained significance value 0.001 < 0.05 and the value of f count = 47.934 > f table = 3.156. Then it can be concluded that the price and quality of the product simultaneously have a significant effect on the purchase decision. Test results coefficient R Square (R2) of 0.627, it can be concluded that the influence of price and product quality on purchasing decisions is equal to 62.7%. While the remaining 37.3% were influenced by other variables that were not studied in this study.

Abstract

Pertumbuhan ekonomi pada dasarnya menunjukkan kemampuan suatu negara untuk menghasilkan output yang hanya melihat infrastruktur dan tidak selalu menjamin kesejahteraan masyarakatnya. Jumlah data yang digunakan sebagai populasi pada penelitian ini diambil dari rentang 10 tahun, yakni 2014-2023. Data yang didapatkan melalui literasi situs resmi BPS. Analisis data menggunakan analisis regresi linear sederhana. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa indeks pembangunan manusia berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang didapat, diketahui nilai sig 0.023 < dari α (0.05) serta nilai t-hitung sebesar 2,792 > dari t-tabel sebesar 1,860 menunjukkan bahwa indeks pembangunan manusia berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi di Kabupaten Kutai Kartanegara tahun 2014-2023. Indeks pembanguan manusia terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi sangat penting karena menggambarkan lebih dari sekedar pendapatan per kapita melainkan juga mencerminkan kualitas hidup dan potensi pembangunan manusia.

Abstract

Student learning outcomes in the Indonesian language subject at SD Negeri 007 Samarinda Ulu are still relatively low because learning is dominated by conventional methods. Teachers rely more on lecturing and make little use of engaging media, causing students to become passive. This condition affects the achievement of learning outcomes, which have not yet met the Minimum Mastery Criteria (KKTP) of 75. Therefore, innovation through interactive and enjoyable learning media is needed. Cartoon puppet media was chosen because it can present material visually and concretely, as well as facilitate students’ understanding of the story content. This study aims to improve the Indonesian language learning outcomes of grade IV C students through the use of cartoon puppet media in the topic of origin stories. The research employed Classroom Action Research (CAR), carried out in two cycles. Each cycle consisted of the stages of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research subjects were 27 grade IV C students of SD Negeri 007 Samarinda Ulu in the 2024/2025 academic year. Data were collected through observation, learning outcome tests, and documentation, while analysis was conducted descriptively and quantitatively by calculating the mean score and the percentage of student mastery. The results showed an increase in learning outcomes after the application of cartoon puppet media. In the first cycle, the average student score was 68.80 with 62% mastery, while in the second cycle it increased to 81.90 with 86% mastery. In addition, student activity also improved, as seen from higher participation, the ability to answer questions, and the confidence to express opinions.

Abstract

Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises is the main sector supporting the economy,therefore the sustainability of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises is veryimportant. This study aims to find out how the woven sarong business is sustainablein Samarinda by looking at how innovation is, as well as the obstacles encounteredwhile running the business. This study uses descriptive qualitative research, bycollecting data through interviews with craftsmen or business owners of Samarindawoven sarongs. Data analysis techniques use data reduction, data display, anddrawing and verifying conclusions. Based on the results of interviews, it is knownthat the innovation of woven sarong craftsmen in the city of Samarinda is minimal.Products are only based on customer orders, especially in the production of clothing types. Product innovation is also influenced by circumstances such as the creation of woven masks. The most prominent innovation is related to design innovation, where craftsmen use trending young colors, this gets a positive response from customers. The constraints faced by craftsmen related to the production process are labor, health, time and weather and threads that often break. Barriers in terms of marketing are relatively minimal due to the lack of understanding of the craftsmen about the importance of marketing and the background of the existence of regular customers or resellers so that the craftsmen cannot be deceived. Craftsmen are expected to be even more innovative in terms of product design and novelty so that their businesses can grow and absorb labor and utilize technology as a marketingmedium.Keywords: Innovation, Marketing, SME, Weaving Sarong Craftsmen.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of brand image and word of mouth onconsumer purchasing decisions at the coffee shop Forthis House Samarinda. Thisresearch method is descriptive-quantitative, using data collection techniques suchas observation, documentation, questionnaires, and interviews. The population inthis study were consumers at the Forthis House Samarinda coffee shop. Thesampling technique in this study used non-random sampling, namely purposivesampling, with a sample of 97 respondents. The analysis technique used is multiplelinear regression analysis with the SPSS version 29 application. The results of thisstudy indicate that from the results of the calculation of the partial test or t test onbrand image, the result of t count 6.252 > t table 1.985 and word of mouth obtainedt count 3.440 > t table 1.985 with a significance of 0.01 <0.05 which means thatBrand Image and Word of Mouth have a partial and significant effect on consumerpurchasing decisions at the coffee shop Forthis House Samarinda. The results ofthe simultaneous test or F test in this study obtained F count of 76.996 > F table3.09 with a significance of 0.01 <0.05, which means that brand image and word ofmouth have a simultaneous and significant effect on purchasing decisions at theForthis coffee shop, House Samarinda.
