Abstract

The pandemic Covid-19 has made the world face one of the greatest challenges we have ever experienced over a century. Every sector (health industry, education, aviation, navigation, agriculture, media) is confronting such potential catastrophe that all are struggling to survive in this new normal. Due to these unavoidable trying times, there is a paradigm shift, a transition in every sphere. The education fraternity is considered the platform to build up the future generation is suffering the most because of the campus closure where other sectors are allowed to continue their activities so far. It has gone through several transformations from (traditional way of online teaching) to cope up with the situation and still struggling to reach up its goal. There was a chance for loss of the academic year if there was no online education, no transition from the traditional way of the teaching-learning process. This paper is an attempt to focus on the transition of the English teaching-learning process for the continuation of academic performances, the features of online English education, the types of online English education, the role of English teachers in this regard, strategies to make an effective online English class, challenges that we are encountering and some recommendations that are needed for the continuation of English teaching-learning performance during future trying times like epidemic, pandemic, war and so on.

Abstract

Effective learning management is vital for higher education quality. This study examines the impact of lecturers’ pedagogical competence on learning management and the mediating role of learning innovation. A quantitative design was employed, analyzing data from 85 students at Universitas Muhammadiyah Jakarta using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM).Results indicate that pedagogical competence has a positive and significant effect on learning management, underscoring its central role in instructional practice. Conversely, the mediating effect of learning innovation was statistically insignificant. These findings suggest that innovation alone, without a strong pedagogical foundation, does not independently improve learning effectiveness. The study concludes that institutions should prioritize the development of pedagogical competence as the primary determinant of effective learning systems, while treating innovation as a complementary factorKeywords: Pedagogical Competence, Learning Management, Learning Innovation, Higher Education

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi digital telah mendorong terjadinya transformasi signifikan dalam praktik pembelajaran dan pengelolaan pendidikan. Teknologi pendidikan tidak lagi dipahami sekadar sebagai penggunaan media atau perangkat pembelajaran, melainkan sebagai suatu sistem yang mencakup teori, desain, implementasi, dan evaluasi pembelajaran. Perubahan ini membawa implikasi yang luas, tidak hanya pada proses pembelajaran, tetapi juga pada struktur organisasi pendidikan. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis secara konseptual perkembangan teknologi pendidikan masa kini serta implikasinya terhadap perubahan struktur organisasi pendidikan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kajian literatur konseptual, yang berbeda dari tinjauan literatur deskriptif karena berfokus pada sintesis teori dan pengembangan kerangka konseptual. Melalui analisis berbagai sumber pustaka yang relevan, artikel ini mengintegrasikan perspektif teknologi pendidikan dan organisasi pendidikan untuk menjelaskan bagaimana transformasi pembelajaran digital mendorong perubahan struktur organisasi pendidikan. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa transformasi pembelajaran digital mendorong perubahan peran pendidik dari pengajar menjadi fasilitator dan desainer pembelajaran, munculnya peran baru dalam organisasi pendidikan, serta pergeseran struktur organisasi menuju model yang lebih kolaboratif dan berbasis data. Selain itu, teknologi pendidikan juga memengaruhi budaya kerja organisasi pendidikan menuju budaya digital dan pembelajaran berkelanjutan. Artikel ini memberikan kontribusi konseptual dalam memahami teknologi pendidikan sebagai penggerak transformasi organisasi pendidikan serta menjadi rujukan bagi institusi pendidikan dalam merancang kebijakan dan struktur organisasi yang adaptif terhadap perkembangan teknologi.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the utilization of HTML5-based interactive multimedia in the form of Sharable Content Object Reference Model (SCORM) on learning implementation satisfaction and learners’ understanding in the E-Learning Manajemen Pembelajaran at the Financial Education and Training Agency (BPPK). The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach supported by descriptive quantitative data. Data were collected through observations of the ongoing online learning implementation, participant satisfaction evaluations using a 1–5 Likert scale, and final quiz results as a summative test to measure learners’ understanding. The object of this study was HTML5-based interactive multimedia integrated into a Learning Management System (LMS) and accessed asynchronously by the training participants. The results indicate that participants’ satisfaction with the learning implementation was in the very good category, with perceived performance exceeding expectations. In terms of understanding, all participants were declared to have passed, as indicated by scores above the passing grade in the summative test. These findings suggest that the utilization of HTML5-based interactive multimedia packaged in SCORM format is able to provide a satisfying learning experience and effectively support learners’ understanding in e-learning, making it relevant for further development and implementation in online training programs within government institutions.

Abstract

The transformation of waste management in Indonesia requires substantial changes in public behavior, particularly in the practice of waste sorting at the source, which remains limited. This study aims to comprehensively analyze the effectiveness of various waste-sorting training models and to identify the key factors influencing their success in shaping public mindset and behavior. The research employed a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) by examining six indexed scientific articles published between 2022 and 2025 that focus on awareness-building and basic educational interventions in school and residential settings. The synthesis of findings indicates that the effectiveness of training programs does not operate in isolation but is simultaneously influenced by three main factors: (1) technical factors, including the availability of supporting infrastructure such as segregated waste bins; (2) cognitive factors related to participants’ understanding, facilitated through instructional methods, visual demonstrations, and interactive simulations; and (3) policy-related factors involving the implementation of regulations and the role of social role models. The results reveal that while waste-sorting training programs are highly effective in improving knowledge among students and community members, a gap remains in translating knowledge into consistent behavioral change. This gap highlights the need for continuous mentoring supported by adequate infrastructure to sustain behavioral consistency. Overall, the study indicates that maximum cognitive effectiveness is achieved through the integration of interactive educational methods, complemented by sufficient physical facilities and reinforced through continuous assistance or binding regulatory strategies that incorporate elements of positive enforcement to maintain long-term behavioral change.

Abstract

Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis secara teoretis model ADDIE, teori Gagné, dan model Gerlach & Ely dengan meninjau tujuan pengembangan, langkah-langkah inti, asumsi teoretis, serta karakteristik khas masing-masing model. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kajian pustaka dengan metode analisis teoretis terhadap artikel jurnal internasional relevan dalam rentang 5–10 tahun terakhir serta buku klasik desain instruksional sebagai sumber pendukung. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa ADDIE berfungsi sebagai kerangka pengembangan makro, Gagné berperan pada level mikro dalam merancang pengalaman belajar berbasis proses kognitif, dan Gerlach & Ely menempati posisi perencanaan operasional atau meso. Meskipun terdapat tumpang tindih pada beberapa tahap, ketiga model dapat diharmonisasikan secara komplementer. Temuan ini memberikan kontribusi konseptual dalam pemetaan posisi model desain instruksional serta implikasi teoretis dan praktis bagi pengembangan pembelajaran berbasis teknologi.
