Abstract

Komunikasi merupakan suatu hal yang selalu dilakukan oleh manusia sebagai makhluk sosial. Komunikasi dilakukan dengan berbagai macam cara dan media mulai dari cara pada umumnya seperti berbicara antara satu dengan yang lain, menggunakan telepon, menulis surat, bahasa isyarat, hingga cara tersirat seperti karya-karya tulis, puisi, lagu, dan sebagainya. Di Kabupaten Sampang, kaos oblong menjadi salah satu media untuk berkomunikasi. Bukan berkomunkasi secara langsung, namun dalam bentuk pesan tersirat yang bermaksud disampaikan pada halayak umum atau hanya sekedar untuk orang-orang tertentu. Kaos oblong dengan tulisan ini sangat diminati oleh remaja Kabupaten Sampang dikarenakan kaos yang mereka kenakandapat mewakili sifat, karakter atau keadaan mereka yangmemakainya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan jenis-jenis makna pada pahasa tulisan yang terdapt pada kaos oblong yang sering digunakan oleh para pemuda di Kabupaten Sampang yang pada umumnya data diperoleh dari beberapa toko yang berada di pasar Srimangunan Sampang.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the need assessment of the Madurese language learning media based on the responses of junior high school teachers. Based on the results of questionnaire collection that is analyzed with quantitative descriptions, the researcher concluded that the characteristics of the students are mostly active and they are interested in learning the Madurese.The use of learning methods is good, then the teachers must use more varied methods.Many teachers use textbook media and a little other media (multimedia) and even then mostly only occasionally. Teachers want adequate references and facilities to implement Madurese learning media and special training for Madurese language teachers. The teachers also suggest that there should bemany and widely available learning media, according to standardized spelling of the curriculum, and the free internet (wifi) to ease the learning and teaching Madurese.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the nationalism of the Chinese ethnic community near the Indonesia-Singapore border, Batam island, analyzing the extent to which the community interpret their sense of nationalism, and to find out the state's efforts to preserve the Chinese-Batam community's sense of nationalism. This research used desciptive qualitative approach. Data were collected through observation and interviews located in Nongsa area. This study found that the nationalism of the border community was not so visible due to several factors: the high mobility, information and communication exchange. The Chinese-Batam community is more interested in using Mandarin, Hokkien language, compared to Indonesian in interacting. They are also more interested in watching Singaporean and Malaysian television channels that use Mandarin language. Therefore, they are not interested in national issues and developments. The Riau Islands provincial administration has mandated, among others, to raise the Indonesian flag during the Indonesian Independence Day celebration to maintain their nationalism. They also held various traditional and cultural parades to improve their love for Indonesian customs and culture, as well as dissemination on the importance of preferring domestic products to Chinese-Batam community associations. Keywords: nationalism, Chinese-Batam community, Indonesia-Singapore Border Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan nasionalisme masyarakat Tionghoa Batam di dekat perbatasan Indonesia-Singapura, menganalisis sejauh mana mereka memaknai rasa nasionalismenya, serta mengetahui upaya pemeliharaan rasa nasionalisme yang dilakukan negara terhadap masyarakat Tionghoa-Batam. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi dan wawancara. Lokasi penelitian adalah di wilayah Nongsa Batam. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa nasionalisme masyarakat di perbatasan tidak begitu terlihat disebabkan oleh beberapa faktor-faktor, di antaranya mobi-litas yang tinggi serta pertukaran informasi dan kamunikasi. Masyarakat Tionghoa-Batam lebih tertarik menggunakan Bahasa Mandarin, Hokkian dibandingkan bahasa Indonesia dalam berinteraksi. Mereka juga lebih tertarik melihat saluran televisi Singapura dan Malay-sia yang menggunakan Bahasa Mandarin. Dengan demikian mereka tidak tertarik dengan isu dan perkembangan nasional. Upaya yang dilakukan pemerintah daerah Kepulau-an Riau untuk memelihara rasa nasionalisme masyarakat Tionghoa-Batam di antaranya yaitu mewajibkan memasang bendera Indonesia saat perayaan HUT RI. Selain itu juga se-ring dilaksanakan berbagai pawai adat dan budaya untuk membangun rasa cinta terhadap adat dan budaya Indonesia, serta kegiatan sosialisasi pentingnya mencintai produk dalam negeri dan melakukan pembinaan terhadap perkumpulan warga masyarakat Tionghoa-Batam. Abstract

Educational institutions are organizations that provide services with the aim of educating the nation's life and are expected to be sensitive to current situations and conditions. The Leadership Institute as the provider of Education services, must be able to understand and pay attention to the feelings of customers, in this case there are students. The feeling of students as customers who go through the academic service process will leave a deep impression on The Leadership Institute. This study aims to analyze how the quality of service and administration on student satisfaction at The Leadership Institute Pte Ltd. The population used was 120 respondents and all of them were sampled with the saturated sample technique. Data processing is assisted by SPSS version 25 software with quantitative methods. From the results of multiple linear regression obtained Y = 1.067 + 0.200X1 + 0.349X2. The results showed that the academic service quality variable (X1) tcount > ttable (4.135 > 1.734) and the administrative service quality variable (X2) tcount > ttable (7.029 > 1.734). Based on the test criteria if tcount > ttable, then H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted which means the quality of academic services (X1), and the quality of administrative services (X2) affect student satisfaction (Y), in which the variables of academic service quality (X1), and the quality of administrative services (X2) have a positive and significant effect on student satisfaction (Y).

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the presence or absence of the influence of discipline and work motivation on the performance of employees at PT Garuda Electric Power which is engaged in contracting. The phenomenon of employee performance levels at PT Garuda Electric Power, shows that employee performance has not been maximized. This study used two independent variables, namely the discipline variable, and the work motivation variable and used one dependent variable, namely employee performance. The data collection technique method used in this study was the distribution of questionnaires using the saturation sampling method, where the population and samples used in this study were all employees working at PT Garuda Electric Power with a population of 105 people. This research uses data analysis techniques such as validity test, reliability test, classical assumption test, multiple linear regression analysis, coefficient of determination test, and hypothesis test. The results of this study show that disciplinary variables have a positive and significant influence on employee performance, work motivation variables have a positive and significant influence on employee performance, and also disciplinary variables and work motivation together simultaneously have a positive and significant effect on employee performance at PT Garuda Electric Power. The variables contained in this study had an influence of 45.7% on employee performance. The remaining 54.3% was influenced by other variables that came from outside this study.

Abstract

This study aims to find out how product quality, service quality and promotion on consumer purchasing decisions at the Time Universe Studio Online Store. The number of respondents in this study was 100 consumers who were taken as research samples. The data collection technique used is a questionnaire. The data that has been collected is then analyzed using multiple statistical analysis methods with SPSS Version 22. Based on the results of the analysis that has been carried out, it shows that there is a partial and simultaneous influence between product quality, service quality and promotion on consumer purchasing decisions at the Universe Studioa Online Store with a value of t count 2.029> t table 1.984 on product quality variable. For the influence of service quality on consumer purchasing decisions at the Time Universe Studio Online Store with a t value of 2.071 > t table of 1.984. While the effect of the Promotion variable on consumer purchasing decisions at the Time Universe Online Store with a t-count value of 2.602 > t-table 1.984. It can be seen from the results of the study that product quality, service quality and promotions each have a partial effect on purchasing decisions for the Time Universe Studio Online Store. While the calculated F value obtained is 5.226 > F table 2.70, which shows that there is a simultaneous influence of the three independent variables on the dependent variable in this study.

Abstract

Employee performance at PT Pegadaian (Persero) Batam is examined in this article to see whether training and career development have a significant impact on employee performance, or if these two factors are interrelated in any way. In particular, this essay will look into whether or not employee performance at PT Pegadaian (Persero) Batam is affected by training and career development (Persero). Batam. The research was quantitative in nature, with both primary and secondary data sources utilized. For the primary data, questionnaires and a collection of statements with Likert-scale measures were distributed. In addition, 105 employees of PT Pegadaian (Persero) Batam were asked to fill out questionnaires. Because of its adaptability, the Likert scale was selected as the measurement tool. Analysis results were validated by using descriptive statistical methods, as well as checks for data quality, influence and hypothesis testing. The SPSS 25 statistical program was used by the researcher to do all of the relevant data calculations. According to the results of the t-test, both training and career development had a substantial impact on employee performance. Employee performance was also significantly influenced by the training variable. There is a correlation between employee performance and training and career advancement, but this is not a causative relationship, according to the results of the F test.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of discipline and work motivation on employee performance at PT SiCepat Ekspres in Batam. Quantitative research is a type of research with a population of 110 people. Questionnaire is an instrument used for data collection. The sampling technique used a saturated sample, meaning that all of the population was sampled. data processing using SPSS version 26 with the results of the study it is known that discipline has a arithmetic value > t table that is 3.424 > 1.65922 with a significance of 0.001 < 0.05 which means that discipline has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, while work motivation tcount > t table namely 6.062 > 1.65922 with a significance of 0.000 <0.05, which means that monkey motivation has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. And motivation and discipline together have a positive and significant effect on employee performance. This is indicated by the results of the F test with a value of (F count) 54,984 > 2.69 (F table) with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05. And the value of R square is 0.507.

Abstract

The purpose of this article is to examine wether the relate variable, namely work environment and communication, have relevant influence employee performance at PT Simatelex Manufactory Batam and work environment and communication simultaneouly affect employee performance at PT Simatelex Manufactory Batam. In this research, the formula use a descriptive quantitatve though interview and survey method, accumulate primary and secondary data and disseminate questionary to a sample of 115 employees of PT Simatelex Manufactory Batam. The measuring instrument use is a measuring instrument called the Likert scale. To verify the results of the analysis, the author use descriptive statistical methods, data quality test, influence test and hypothesis. To calculate all the data, the researcher used the statistical software SPSS 25. The results of the T test showed that the work environment variable had a significant effect on employee performance, and the communication variable had a significant effect on employee performance. While the results of the F test show the variable of the work environment and communication simultaneouly have a positive and significan effect on employee performance.

Abstract

In today's era, every company has an important part in carrying out its vision and mission, namely Human Resources (HR). So that the goal is achieved, every company must move its employees so that employee performance will progress and the company will continue to grow. This study aims to examine how far the influencing factors are from Communication, Discipline, and Work Motivation on Employee Performance at PT Graha Auto Plus Batam. The sample used was 106 respondents from employees of PT Graha Auto Plus Batam. The results showed that communication has a positive significant effect on employee performance, t count has a value of 4.033 and the significant value of the communication variable is 0.001. Work Discipline Has a positive significance on employee performance, the t count is 4.589 and the significant value of the discipline variable is 0.001. While Work Motivation has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, the t count is 2.400 and a significant value of 0.018 so which means that communication has a positive and significant influence, Discipline has a positive and significant influence and Work Motivation has a positive and significant influence and simultaneously communication, discipline and work motivation significant on the performance of employees of PT Graha Auto Plus Batam.
