Abstract

The role of marketing is very important in agricultural development, including the marketing of beef cattle. Madura Island as a cattle barn in East Java greatly contributes to the need fulfillment of beef which reaches 24% of the whole supply in East Java, while East Java itself supplies the national beef needs by 23.5%.However, on one hand, breeders as beef cattle producers are in a weak position; they act only as price takers due to their low bargaining position. This research was aimed at identifying the marketing channels and institutions involved in beef cattle trading system and margin distribution of trading system of beef cattle and the marketing efficiency of beef cattle in Madura Island. The materials in this study were 30 cattle-farmers, 15 handlers, 10 itinerant traders, 10 small traders, 6 medium-scale traders, 3 large-scale traders, 5 butchers at Keppo Market of Pamekasan Regency, Bangkal Market of Sumenep Regency and Sampang Market of Sampang Regency. Sampling of farmers used accidental sampling while for other marketing agencies applied snowball sampling technique. Beef cattle marketing channel in Madura Island was very long and complex, but none of the agencies in the trade management acted as a counterweight. The amount of sales margin was determined by the size of the costs and risks carried by the selling agencies while the cost share and profit share were distributed fairly evenly, except cost share for small sellers, so that the marketing of beef cattle in Madura Island can be said efficient.Key Words: Beef cattle, marketing, margin, trading system

Abstract

Koperasi dianggap sebagai pendorong pembangunan ekonomi masyarakat, terutama dalam industri kuliner, khususnya Food Court. Penyuluhan ini dianggap mendesak untuk memastikan pemahaman yang baik mengenai manfaat koperasi dan meningkatkan kolaborasi demi kesejahteraan anggota. Tujuan kegiatan ini melibatkan peningkatan pemahaman konsep koperasi, pengembangan keterampilan manajemen, partisipasi aktif anggota, memperkuat jaringan kolaboratif, dan meningkatkan kesadaran tentang peran koperasi dalam pembangunan lokal. Manfaatnya mencakup penguatan struktur organisasi, peningkatan kesejahteraan anggota, daya saing di pasar lokal, menjadi model perkoperasian berkelanjutan, dan kontribusi positif pada pembangunan lokal. Metode pelaksanaan mencakup pemetaan kebutuhan, perencanaan program penyuluhan, pelaksanaan sesi penyuluhan, workshop praktis, evaluasi, dan tindak lanjut. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman dan keterampilan, partisipasi aktif, perluasan jaringan kolaboratif, dan kesadaran tentang peran koperasi. Kesimpulan artikel menekankan bahwa penguatan sumber daya manusia menjadi kunci sukses menghadapi tantangan ekonomi kompleks.

Abstract

The results of the research show that, in the effort to revitalize the Tangghe’ bull racing culture, there must be a deliberate attempt to eliminate the stereotype of violence often associated with Karapan Sapi cultural events. This can be done by discontinuing the use of rekeng (whips) and by encouraging the government to take firm action in establishing regulations that prohibit the torture and mistreatment of racing bulls. Essentially, Karapan Sapi is a traditional folk celebration held after the harvest season, not a spectacle of cruelty. The study also found that the revitalization efforts in Langsar Village should focus on preserving the sociocultural, socioeconomic, and sociopolitical aspects of the tradition. Moreover, the modern practice of Tangghe’ bull racing should not be reduced to a mere competitive sport, as this could lead to a shift in cultural values. The revitalization process must begin with several key stages: preparation, investigation, transformation, regulation, establishment, testing, and implementation. The results indicate a positive response from the local community, with the average response score of (4), meaning that most people agree with the idea of preserving the Tangghe’ bull racing culture without violence.

Abstract

Karapan sapi tangghe’merupakan pesta kecil dalam upaya ungkapan doa dan rasa syukur kepada tuhan yang maha esa. Pesta atau selamatan turun tanah dan panen hasil tani dalam satu tahun masa tanam. Tradisi masyarakat dalam budaya selamatan melibatkan ternak sapi Madura yang dikenal dengan tangghe’ (pameran, tampilan dan kebersamaan). Kelestarian sapi tangghe’ tergerus perjalanan memasuki masa evolusi modern dengan berbagai pola yang ditampilkan (komersialisasi dalam karapan sapi pacu (bullracess). Pergerseran nilai budaya yang ada, sementara dipertahankan dengan sedikit polesan dari para sesepuh pencinta karapan sapi tangghe’ di kabupaten sumenep. Salah satu yang dipertahankan adalah double method antara sapi karapan pacu dan kontes sapi hias dalam satu kali event pelaksanaan. Kegagahan dan keindahan sapi Madura jantan dapat terlihat dalam pesta toron tana (cocok tanam pertama musim penghujan) dan pasca panen masyarakat Madura. .
