Abstract

Abstract — General Background: Emesis gravidarum is one of the most common early pregnancy symptoms, influenced by hormonal, psychosocial, nutritional, and maternal factors. Specific Background: Psychological distress, particularly anxiety, is believed to exacerbate nausea and vomiting during pregnancy, but evidence in the Indonesian context remains limited. Knowledge Gap: Previous studies have not sufficiently explored the association between maternal anxiety and the severity of emesis gravidarum in first-trimester pregnancies using validated tools. Aims: This study aimed to examine the relationship between maternal anxiety levels and the severity of emesis gravidarum. Results: An analytic survey with a cross-sectional design was conducted among 30 first-trimester pregnant women selected by quota sampling. Data were collected using the Depression Anxiety Stress Scale (DASS) and PUQE-24 questionnaire. Fisher’s Exact Test revealed a significant association (p = 0.006 < α = 0.05) between maternal anxiety levels and emesis gravidarum severity. Novelty: This study provides empirical evidence on the role of psychological status, particularly anxiety, in influencing emesis gravidarum symptoms among Indonesian primigravida. Implications: The findings suggest the importance of early screening and anxiety management interventions by healthcare providers to prevent worsening conditions such as hyperemesis gravidarum. Highlights: Anxiety severity is significantly linked to emesis gravidarum levels. Primigravida mothers are more vulnerable to moderate nausea and vomiting. Abstract

General Background: Early marriage remains a significant public health and social issue, often occurring before individuals reach the legal minimum age. Specific Background: Internal determinants, particularly knowledge, individual education, and parental education, have been cited as factors influencing early marriage, yet empirical evidence is still inconsistent. Knowledge Gap: Limited studies in Indonesia have explored which internal factors have the strongest association with early marriage practices. Aims: This study aimed to analyze the relationship between internal factors and early marriage in Curahkalong village, Jember district. Results: A cross-sectional analytic study was conducted with 38 married women selected by purposive sampling. Data were collected using questionnaires and analyzed with the Chi-square test at a significance level of α < 0.05. Findings showed a significant relationship between parental education and early marriage (p = 0.003), while no significant relationship was found for individual knowledge (p = 1.000) or respondent education (p = 0.180). Novelty: This research highlights parental education as the primary internal factor related to early marriage, while individual knowledge and education were not significant predictors. Implications: The findings suggest that parental involvement and educational background are critical in preventing early marriage, emphasizing the need for family-based reproductive health education programs. Highlights: Parental education strongly correlates with early marriage. Individual knowledge shows no significant association. Family-based interventions are essential for prevention. Abstract

Anak merupakan pribadi yang selalu tumbuh dan berkembang dengan karakter yang berbeda-beda dari anak lainnya, baik emosional maupun sosial. Namun, ada beberapa anak yang terlahir dengan kebutuhan khusus. Anak kebutuhan khusus dapat dikatakan sebagai anak yang lambat atau keterbelakangan sehingga secara pendidikan memerlukan pelayanan khusus yang berbeda dengan anak lainnya. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memeriksa kesehatan gigi dan status gizi pada anak berkebutuhan khusus dan memberikan edukasi pada orang tua tentang perawatan gigi dan gizi seimbang pada anak. Peserta dalam kegiatan ini adalah siswa TK SLB Aisyiah berjumlah 14 anak dan masing-masing anak didampingi 1 orang tua. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan dilakukan dengan memeriksa kesehatan gigi anak dan status gizi anak serta pemberian edukasi pada orang tua tentang perawatan gigi dan gizi seimbang pada anak. Dari hasil pemeriksaan gigi didapatkan seluruh peserta (100%) mengalami gangguan kesehatan gigi yang memerlukan penanganan seperti Tumpatan (tambal gigi), ekstraksi (pencabutan) dan scaling (pembersihan karang gigi).  Sedangkan hasil pemeriksaan status gizi anak menunjukkan bahwa hanya sebagian anak (50%) dengan status gizi baik, sedangkan anak yang termasuk dalam kategori gizi kurang (29%), overweight (7%) dan obesitas (14%). Berdasarkan hasil pemeriksaan dapat disimpulkan bahwa seluruh siswa TK SLB Aisyiah mengalami gangguan kesehatan gigi dan hanya separuh siswa dengan status gizi baik. Kegiatan pemberian edukasi pada orang tua diharapkan dapat menjadi suatu program berkelanjutan sebagai upaya promotif dan preventif sehingga orang tua semakin dapat mengoptimalkan kesehatan anak berkebutuhan khusus.

Abstract

Asupan gizi yang seimbang sangat diperlukan anak karena berdampak pada tumbuh kembang dan juga berperan penting dalam memperkuat daya tahan tubuh untuk melawan virus COVID-19. Pemberian gizi seimbang pada balita dipengaruhi oleh perilaku ibu. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis factor predisposing, enabling dan reinforcing yang melatarbelakangi perilaku ibu dalam penerapan gizi seimbang pada balita di wilayah Sidoarjo. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain cross sectional. Sampel penelitian adalah ibu yang memiliki anak usia 1-5 tahun di desa Sukodono Sidoarjo berjumlah 30 responden, teknik pengambilan sampel yaitu purposive sampling. Variabel independen terdiri dari pendidikan, pekerjaan, pendapatan, pengetahuan, jarak rumah dengan pasar dan dukungan keluarga.. Variabel dependen adalah perilaku ibu dalam penerapan gizi seimbang pada balita. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan kuesioner online, kemudian dianalisa menggunakan uji statistik Chi square dengan p value ?=0,05. Hasil uji statistik didapatkan faktor Pendidikan ibu p=0,035 (p<?), pekerjaan p=0,001 (p<?), pendapatan p=0,36 (p>?), pengetahuan p=0,003 (p<?), jarak rumah dengan pasar p=0,261(p>?), dukungan keluarga p=0,027(p<?). Kesimpulan dalam penelitian ini adalah faktor pendidikan, pekerjaan, pengetahuan dan dukungan keluarga mempengaruhi perilaku ibu dalam penerapan gizi seimbang pada balita, sedangkan faktor pendapatan dan jarak rumah dengan pasar tidak mempengaruhi perilaku ibu dalam penerapan gizi seimbang pada balita.

Abstract

Development is an increase in the ability of the structure, function of the body to be more complex in a regular pattern. Based on initial data obtained at PAUD Muslimat in Petung Village in January 2020 by conducting the KPSP test as many as 7 out of 10 children the results were dubious. The research design is descriptive, the population and samples of all mothers who have children aged 3-4 years are 35 people. The data are presented in the form of frequency distribution tables and cross tabulations and then analyzed descriptively without statistical tests using research data and supporting theories. The results showed that most (60%) mother's knowledge was good, most (57.2%) child development was doubtful, appropriate child development (86.7%) was more in mothers who had good and sufficient knowledge than those with less knowledge ( 60%) questionable child development. The conclusion of appropriate child development is more in mothers who have good and sufficient knowledge than those with less knowledge.

Abstract

Complementary therapy is an option for Aisyiyah Pandaan Islamic Inpatient Clinic to be opened, but the limited facilities and human resources so that it cannot be realized, and the intense competition in the health services around the clinic becomes a threat to the clinic if the service remains as before. Based on data from patient visits to services Maternal and Child Health in the Islamic Pratama and Inpatient Clinic Aisyiyah Pandaan there was a 28% decrease in 2019 compared to 2018. Based on these problems, the solution provided was through the development of complementary therapy services, one of which was acupressure therapy for infants and children remember the clinic already serves pregnancy and childbirth checks. Implementation of activities begins with the improvement of human resources competencies through the acupressure training for infants and children, facilitation opens acupressure complementary therapy services for infants and children and helps create promotional media to the community. The results of this activities are increasing the understanding and skills of health workers and increasing the quantity and quality of services. The conclusion of this community service activity is to make a positive contribution to improving health services at the Aisyiyah Pandaan Inpatient Clinic which in turn can support increasing the number of infants and toddler visits.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has changed all activities in all fields, including the field of education. Early childhood education plays an important role in the mental and character formation of children. Parents must always update their knowledge to be able to educate and care for children according to age and development of the times. During the pandemic, the learning process at Aisyiyah Sukodono Kindergarten was mostly done online, this made it difficult for parents to accompany their children to study at home, besides that teachers had never received training on early detection of child development. This activity aims to optimize the skills of parents in caring for children according to age stages and empower teachers to be able to detect early development of their students. The Service Method is by providing counseling to the guardians of Aisyiyah Sukodono Sidoarjo Kindergarten students about positive parenting to optimize children's potential and providing training on early detection of child growth and development with a developmental pre-screening questionnaire (KPSP) for Aisyiyah Sukodono Sidoarjo Kindergarten teachers. This community service activity was attended by 23 parents and 8 teachers. Based on the results of the assessment before participating in parenting education activities, most of the parents (71%) had less knowledge about parenting, and after participating in the activity, most of the parents (54%) had good knowledge about parenting. Meanwhile, for teachers, before training all of them could not use KPSP and after training, all of them became able to use KPSP for early detection of developments. This shows that there is an increase in the knowledge of parents about child care and teachers are able to carry out early detection of developments with KPSP.
