Abstract

Implementing protocols in responding pandemic covid19, that are distance learning and work from home, causes an unexpected thing toward academic atmosphere in higher education. Learning process that previously done by face to face interaction is suddenly replaced by online learning. Some difficulties are not merely affected campus’ academia, but also public intellectuals who gather in an association including Indonesia’ Centre of Asian Studies (CENAS). Aside of learning, face to face discussion among lecturers as well as public intellectuals to share some new information about research result could not also be hled. In this sense, there has been a concerned issue about decreasing the spirit of knowledge and information sharing among intellectuals.  To respond the anxiety, UP2M as a research centre of the Politeknik Negeri Jakarta in collaboration with its partner, Indonesia’ Centre of Asian Studies (CENAS), hosts an online seminar or widely known as web-based seminar (webinar). All the distinguish speakers are from the Politeknik Negeri Jakarta who have been known for their eagerness in doing research. As a result, arranging this webinar has meant that readiness of all civitas academia to suit themselves with the situation of online learning that is unavoidable during the current pandemic covid-19.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a vital role in the Indonesian economy, contributing more than 60.5% to Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in 2022. However, MSMEs face significant challenges in the digital era, especially in adapting technology to achieve sustainability and efficiency. The use of technology in the production and packaging process is key for MSMEs to expand market access, reduce production costs, and offer competitive prices. In order to improve the competitiveness of MSMEs in Pasar Kemis District, Tangerang Regency, MSMEs Anugerah Bosstea Mandiri, BAJARA Jus, and Dimsum Dapur Mama Nove participated in a community service program aimed at improving understanding of effective packaging strategies. This program involves the use of automatic sticker cutting tools and vacuum sealers, designed by the Packaging Printing Industry Technology (TICK) Study Program, to address label design and product durability issues. This activity also includes comprehensive training on food preservation, packaging regulations, and the use of food additives, with a focus on realizing sustainable and competitive MSMEs in the modern market. The results are expected to improve the quality and competitiveness of MSME products in an increasingly competitive market.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the failure risks of UV digital printing machines used at PT XYZ using the Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) method. In the digital printing industry, the continuity of machine operations heavily depends on effective maintenance to prevent downtime that could disrupt the production process. The FMEA method is employed to identify potential failure modes and evaluate the severity, occurrence, and detection of each failure. This research adopts a quantitative approach, with data collected through observations, interviews, and historical documentation. The analysis reveals that the printhead, cooling system, and UV lamp are the components with the highest Risk Priority Numbers (RPN), at 504, 441, and 288 respectively. Based on these findings, it is recommended that preventive and predictive maintenance strategies be enhanced to avoid recurring failures.
