Abstract

Transpor membran merupakan salah satu pembelajaran biologi yang mengkaji pada tingkat seluler. Pembelajaran transpor membran membutuhkan strategi dan media yang tepat untuk mengajarkan konsep perpindahan molekul secara seluler. Group Investigation berbantu LabXchange merupakan kombinasi strategi pembelajaran berbasis penyelidikan secara berkelompok yang difasilitasi dengan visualisasi konsep melalui laboratorium virtual. Tujuan penelitian ini mengukur dan membuktikan sejauh mana keefektifan atau keberhasilan strategi Group Investigation berbantu LabXchange terhadap hasil belajar transpor membran. Tingkat efektivitas diukur berdasarkan peningkatan pemahaman konsep transpor membran, kemampuan kolaboratif, dan keterampilan motorik selama peserta didik melakukan simulasi berbasis LabXchange. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah mixed methode dengan model sequential explanatory dan desain pendekatan kuantitatif one group pretest posttest. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Strategi Group Investigation berbantu LabXchange memberikan pengaruh positif terhadap hasil belajar transpor membran pada ranah kognitif sebesar 82,9%, afektif 54,6%, dan psikomotorik 49,2%. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah strategi Group Investigation berbantu LabXchange efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar transpor membran.

Abstract

Penggunaan LKPD berbasis Problem Based Learning (PBL) dalam pembelajaran bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kesadaran peserta didik akan pelestarian lingkungan. LKPD berbasis PBL menyediakan pertanyaan berdasarkan permasalahan nyata yang memungkinkan peserta didik untuk dapat memecahkan permasalahan mulai dari perumusan masalah hingga rancangan percobaan. Penelitian ini menggunakan Kuasi Eksperimen dengan nonequivalent control grup design, bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat pengaruh penggunaan LKPD berbasis Problem Based Learning materi perubahan lingkungan terhadap tingkat kesadaran peserta didik akan pelestarian lingkungan. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah instrumen tes (pre-test dan post-test), lembar validasi, lembar observasi, dan lembar angket respon. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pada kelompok eksperimen dan kontrol memiliki nilai sig < 0,05 dengan masing-masing nilai R2 sebesar 0,354 dan 0,245. Nilai ini memiliki arti bahwa pengaruh penggunaan LKPD berbasis PBL pada kelompok eksperimen sebesar 35,4% dan kelompok kontrol sebesar 24,6%. Hasil penilaian sikap atau self evalution peserta didik akan pelestarian lingkungan pada kelompok eksperimen memiliki nilai rata-rata sebesar 80% dapat dinyatakan bahwa peserta didik sadar akan pelestarian lingkungan. Pada kelompok kontrol mendapatkan hasil rata-rata sebesar 57% dapat dinyatakan bahwa peserta didik cukup sadar akan pelestarian lingkugan. Dari keseluruhan hasil penelitian ini maka terbukti penggunaan LKPD berbasis Problem Based Learning berpengaruh tehadap tingkat kesadaran peserta didik akan pelestarian lingkungan.

Abstract

assessment are based on high school thinking skills. High school teachers who are members of the Tuban Regency MGMP experience difficulties in developing HOTS questions, such as lacking knowledge of various platforms that can be used to carry out e-assessments. The solution to solving the problems experienced is achieving an assessment as learning program combining multiplatform assessment links and Quizzes in creating HOTS questions. This community service involves MGMP Biology and the PkM biology team (University). The aim of this PKM activity is to improve skills in preparing cognitive aspect questions using multiplatform (assessment link-qiuzziz), so that good e-assessment management can improve the quality of learning both online and offline in the era of independent learning. The stages of PkM activities include Pre-Activity (Material Presentation), implementation (Workshop and Mentoring) and Simulation, Presentation and Evaluation which have been carried out online and offline. The workshop participants were 10 teachers, members of the Tuban Regency High School Biology MGMP. PkM mentoring activities are continued synchronously via Google Meet and asynchronously via Google Classroom. Participants are provided with knowledge related to the cognitive domain with the Assessment Link application; Creating HOT questions on Biology material as well as Tutorials for creating Assessment as learning based on the Quizziz platform. Assessment of PkM activities was assessed through pre-test and post-test with an average score increase of 12.4%. Eight participant response rubrics showed a range of strongly agree statements between 48.8-83.7% who felt the suitability of the material and the good allocation of training time. This service received appreciation from teachers in improving skills in using HOTS question instruments in the learning process in accordance with the stages and guidelines for writing HOTS questions.

Abstract

Assessment as learning merupakan assessment yang dilakukan guru dan melibatkan peserta didik secara langsung mengembangkan keterampilan metakognitif. Quizizz merupakan media pembelajaran digital yang mampu meningkatkan motivasi belajar dan menarik motivasi belajar peserta didik yang dapat disusun berdasarkan karakteristik peserta didik. Penelitian ini perlu dilakukan guna mengetahui tingkat efektivitas Quizizz sebagai aplikasi assessment as learning untuk peningkatan capaian belajar peserta didik. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pre-experiment design dengan desain penelitian one group pre-test post-test. Sasaran penelitian dilakukan pada 30 peserta didik yang ditentukan secara random. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah instrumen lembar validasi, instrumen test (pre-test dan post-test), lembar observasi dan lembar angket respon. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aplikasi Quizizz yang dirancang memiliki nilai validitas sangat valid dengan nilai kevalidan sebesar 95,27 sehingga penggunaan Quizizz dapat berpengaruh terhadap pencapaian belajar peserta didik. Pengaruh pemakaian aplikasi Quizizz terhadap pencapaian belajar peserta didik sebesar 59,3%, setiap penambahan 1% penggunaan Quizizz maka hasil belajar meningkat sebesar 1,135 dan pelaksanaan proses pembelajaran menggunakan Quizizz berjalan secara efektif sesuai dengan rancangan pembelajaran dan mendapatkan tanggapan baik dari peserta didik.

Abstract

The application of various curricula and the development of innovative learning models are also in the spotlight in this Industrial Revolution 4.0 era, especially in using learning media. Gamification, which involves game elements in learning, was introduced to increase student motivation and involvement. Working memory is a part of short-term memory that stores and manipulates information to help the learning process. This research aims to produce valid gamification media for cell division material to improve students' working memory. The type of research used in this research is development research using the ADDIE development model. Gamification media should meet specific criteria validated by material and education experts, including presentation, visuals, language, and content. The research showed that the gamification media for cell division material was declared high validity, with an average validation score of 0.94. Research has shown that gamification effectively enhances students' working memory as a learning tool. Keywords: validity, gamification media, cell division, working memory, education developing

Abstract

Abstrak Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan e-book interaktif untuk mengurangi miskonsepsi pada materi transpor membran yang valid secara teoritis dan validitas empiris. Pendekatan penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan research and development dengan menggunakan desain penelitian model 4D yaitu define, design, develop, disseminate. E-book interaktif untuk mengurangi miskonsepsi menggunakan langkah pembelajaran klinis 5e-learning cycle, yakni engagement, exploration, explanation, elaboration dan evaluation dengan komponen buku berupa gambar, video, hyperlink, dan QR-code sehingga dapat mengurangi miskonsepsi siswa pada materi transpor membran. Hasil penelitian berupa e-book yang memenuhi kriteria: 1) validitas teoritis berdasarkan syarat teknis dengan skor sebesar 96,5%, syarat konstruksi (97,9%) dan syarat didaktik dengan skor sebesar 100% sebagai e-book yang bersifat interaktif; serta 2) validitas empiris, yaitu dapat mengurangi miskonsepsi materi transpor membran dari tingkat miskonsepsi 54,20% menjadi 2,85%. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa e-book interaktif pada materi transpor membran valid secara teoritis dan empiris. Kata Kunci : E-book Interaktif, Miskonsepsi, 5-learning cycle, Transpor Membran.

Abstract

Abstrak Penggunaan virtual laboratory dalam pembelajaran bertujuan untuk menaikkan kualitas pendidikan Indonesia, khususnya dalam mengatasi tingkat kemampuan literasi saintifik yang dinilai masih lemah. Virtual laboratory menyediakan simulasi interaktif yang memungkinkan siswa untuk mengamati dan berpartisipasi secara langsung dalam eksperimen, memperkuat pemahaman konsep saintifik. Dibidang biologi terutama materi evolusi, penting untuk dapat membedakan antara fakta ilmiah yang didukung oleh bukti dan opini yang mungkin tidak memiliki dasar ilmiah. Tujuan penelitian untuk menganalisis pengaruh penggunaan virtual laboratory terhadap kemampuan saintifik siswa dalam materi evolusi. Di kelas XI F2, siswa berada dalam kelompok eksperimen, dan di kelas XI F12, siswa berada dalam kelompok kontrol. Metode yang digunakan yaitu uji hipotesis untuk menganalisis data. Sebelumya dilakukan, uji normalitas Shapiro Wilk dan uji homogenitas (Levene test) berbantuan SPSS. Hasil penelitian menyatakan nilai t hitung 4,810 dengan sig 0,000 dan nilai t tabel 2,101 dari df 18, pada taraf signifikansi 0,05. Nilai t hitung > t tabel, dengan 4,810 > 2,101, dan nilai sig < 0,05, dengan p 0,000 < 0,05. Demikian, hipotesis nol (H0) ditolak, sementara hipotesis alternatif (H1) diterima. Nilai N-Gain kelas eksperimen sebesar 0,53 termasuk kategori tinggi dan kelas kontrol mempunyai nilai N-Gain sebesar 0,05 termasuk kedalam kategori rendah. Hasili menunjukkan bahwasanya penggunaan virtual laboratory dalam pembelajaran efektif digunakan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan literasi saintifik siswa. Maka disimpulkan bahwasanya siswa menggunakan lab virtual memiliki kemampuan literasi saintifik yang lebih baik. Secara keseluruhan diketahui bahwa menggunakan lab virtual memberi dampak yang positif terhadap kemampuan literasi saintifik siswa. Abstract The utilization of a virtual laboratory in education aims to enhance the standard of education in Indonesia, especially in addressing the level of scientific literacy, which is still considered weak. The virtual laboratory provides interactive simulations that allow students to observe and participate directly in experiments, strengthening their understanding of scientific concepts. In the realm of biology, particularly in the of evolution, it is crucial to differentiate between scientific facts supported by evidence and opinions that may lack a scientific basis. The aim of this study is to examine the effects of employing a virtual laboratory on students' proficiency in scientific literacy regarding the subject of evolution. In class XI F2, students were in the experimental group, and in class XI F12, The students were part of the control group. The method used was hypothesis testing to analyze the data. Prior to this, Using SPSS, the Levene's test for homogeneity and the Shapiro-Wilk normalcy test were performed. T-values from df 18 and t-table values from df 18 at a significance level of 0.05 and 0.000, respectively, were displayed in the results. P was 0.000 less than 0.05, indicating that the significance value was less than 0.05 and the t-value was more than the t-table value, with 4.810 being greater than 2.101. This means that although the alternative hypothesis (H1) was adopted, the null hypothesis (H0) was rejected. Classified as low, the control group's N-Gain value was 0.05, whereas the experimental class's value was 0.53, indicating a high level of performance. The findings suggest that utilizing a virtual laboratory in education is efficient in enhancing students' scientific literacy abilities. In conclusion, that students using the virtual lab have better scientific literacy skills. From the research conducted, it is overall known that using the virtual lab positively influences students' scientific literacy abilities. Abstract

Digital biology literacy in the Animalia topic is important to investigate because this content requires students to critically access, understand, evaluate, and communicate biology-related information in digital environments amid the abundance of online learning resources. This study aims to analyze the use of the Wayground platform on students’ Biology Digital Literacy skills in the Animalia topic. The instruments used in this study consisted of a test to measure students’ Biology Digital Literacy and a response questionnaire. Data were analyzed using correlation and regression tests. The results indicate that the use of Wayground has a significant effect on improving students’ Biology Digital Literacy skills, with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05. The indicators of Biology Digital Literacy examined include the ability to access digital information, manage information, evaluate information, and communicate information in biology learning, all of which can be facilitated through the Wayground platform. Interactive features such as review questions, automated feedback, and leaderboards support the enhancement of students’ critical thinking skills and learning motivation. Abstrak. Literasi digital biologi pada materi Animalia penting diteliti karena materi ini menuntut peserta didik untuk mampu mengakses, memahami, mengevaluasi, dan mengomunikasikan informasi biologis berbasis digital secara kritis di tengah melimpahnya sumber belajar daring. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penggunaan platform Wayground terhadap kemampuan Literasi Digital Biologi peserta didik pada materi Animalia. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berupa tes untuk mengukur Literasi Digital Biologi peserta didik dan angket respon. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan uji korelasi dan uji regresi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan Wayground berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap peningkatan kemampuan Literasi Digital Biologi, dengan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,000 < 0,05. Indikator kemampuan Literasi Digital Biologi yang diteliti meliputi kemampuan mengakses informasi digital, mengelola informasi, mengevaluasi informasi, dan mengomunikasikan informasi dalam pembelajaran biologi, yang dapat dicapai melalui pemanfaatan platform Wayground. Fitur-fitur interaktif seperti review question, umpan balik otomatis, dan leaderboard mendukung peningkatan keterampilan berpikir kritis serta motivasi belajar peserta didik.

Abstract

Critical thinking skills are an important competency in the 21st century that still needs to be improved in biology learning, especially in ecosystem materials. This study aims to analyze the influence  of the STEM-based Blended Learning  model on the critical thinking skills of high school students on ecosystem materials. The study used a pre-experimental method with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The subjects of the study were 36 students of class X of SMA Negeri 1 Bangilan.  The BL-STEM model is applied through offline and online learning with a STEM approach, including Science in the form of understanding ecosystem concepts, Technology using Virtual Lab digital simulations (ecology lab learner), Engineering challenges engineering ecosystem balance, and Mathematics through data collection, graph analysis, and population change tables. The results showed an increase in the average critical thinking skill of 15.75 points, from 74.78 in  the pretest to 90.53 in  the posttest, and the increase was statistically significant and the N-Gain was 0.66 in the medium category. This increase was supported by the implementation of BL-STEM learning which reached 99.5% according to the LKPD and a very positive student response of 94.4%.  Critical thinking skills are measured based on six indicators, namely interpretation, analysis, inference, explanation, evaluation, and self-regulation. These indicators are measured through students' ability to interpret and analyze data from simulations, identify cause-and-effect relationships between ecosystem components, draw conclusions about population change, evaluate ecological factors, and reflect on the thought process in solving ecosystem problems. Thus, BL-STEM learning is effective in improving students' critical thinking skills in high school ecosystem materials.

Abstract

The development of teaching materials that are integrated with local wisdom is needed as a teaching tool to support learning using the Merdeka curriculum. To practice some of these skills, teaching materials are needed that support the application of the Merdeka curriculum for learning activities. This research aims to determine the theoretical feasibility of teaching materials in the form of environmental change e-books based on problem based learning integrated with local wisdom in Malang Raya. This research uses the ADDIE model with analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation stages. Data was obtained from validation results by two biology lecturers and readability tests. The environmental change e-book developed has very valid criteria. The validation results are based on aspects of presentation, content, suitability of problem based learning steps. E-book readability test at level 11 or according to the level of thinking of class X high school students which is categorized as very positive and appropriate. So, it is concluded that the environmental change e-book based on problem based learning integrated with Malang Raya local wisdom is very suitable to be applied in the learning of class X high school students.
