Abstract

This research aims to determine the role of the government in waste management in Tompo Balang Village, Makassar City. This research uses the theory of Arif and Bintoro Tjokroamidjojo with the indicators of regulator, motivator, dynamist, facilitator and mobilizer. This type of research is descriptive with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques use observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis techniques use data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of this research show that the Tompo Balang sub-district, Makassar City, has carried out its role as a regulator, motivator, dynamist, facilitator and mobilizer. However, the facilitator and mobilizer indicators have not been implemented optimally because the facilities provided have not been implemented evenly and there has been no follow-up to the stalled waste management program. The supporting factor for the government's role in waste management in Tompo Balang sub-district, Makassar City is that waste is the main program of the Makassar City government and sub-district areas that have waste sources. Factors inhibiting the government's role in waste management in Tompo Balang sub-district, Makassar City are the lack of waste management facilities and infrastructure as well as the low level of public awareness of waste management

Abstract

This study aims to implement an information retrieval system for cryptocurrency data using an attribute-based approach integrated with the Vector Space Model (VSM). The primary objective is to develop a system capable of retrieving the most relevant digital asset information according to specific search attributes, including positive sentiment, price fluctuation, and prediction confidence level. The research adopts a descriptive qualitative method combined with an experimental approach to evaluate the retrieval performance of the cosine similarity algorithm on normalized numerical data. Data preprocessing and attribute weighting were conducted to ensure consistency and improve retrieval accuracy. The experiment demonstrates that the proposed system achieves a Precision@5 value of 1.0, which indicates that all top-five retrieved results are fully relevant to user queries. These findings validate the effectiveness of the attribute-based VSM in analyzing multidimensional cryptocurrency datasets. Overall, this research contributes to the advancement of information retrieval applications in the cryptocurrency domain, particularly for supporting data-driven decision-making and intelligent financial analysis.

Abstract

Latar Belakang: Perundungan merupakan bentuk perilaku menyimpang yang berdampak negatif terhadap perkembangan fisik, emosional, dan psikologis anak, serta masih sering ditemukan di lingkungan sekolah. Pengganggu pada saat jam pelajaran serta kesejahteraan siswa maupun siswi merupakan salah satu dampak dari perundungan itu sendiri. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat pengetahuan siswa mengenai perundungan di SD Negeri 5 Puhu, Payangan, Gianyar. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif dengan desain cross sectional. Jumlah populasi sebanyak 105 siswa dengan 93 siswa sebagai sampel yang dipilih melalui teknik probability sampling dengan stratified random sampling, dengan kriteria inklusi siswa-siswi kelas III-VI yang hadir di sekolah dan kriteria eksklusi siswa-siswi kelas III-VI yang tidak hadir pada saat penelitian berlangsung. Hasil: Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar siswa memiliki tingkat pengetahuan mengenai perundungan dalam kategori cukup, yaitu sebanyak 76 siswa (81,7%), diikuti kategori kurang sebanyak 9 siswa (9,7%) dan kategori baik sebanyak 8 siswa (8,6%). Berdasarkan kelompok usia, siswa usia 8–10 tahun menunjukkan proporsi pengetahuan baik yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan siswa usia 11–12 tahun. Berdasarkan jenis kelamin, siswa perempuan cenderung memiliki tingkat pengetahuan perundungan yang lebih baik dibandingkan siswa laki-laki, meskipun mayoritas responden pada kedua kelompok tetap berada pada kategori pengetahuan cukup. Kesimpulan: Hal tersebut menunjukan masih banyak anak-anak yang kurang infomasi mengenai perundungan. Kurangnya pengetahuan yang dimiliki anak-anak perlu diberikan edukasi yang komprehensif, berkelanjutan, dan terintegrasi dalam program kesehatan sekolah untuk mendukung terciptanya lingkungan belajar yang aman serta bebas perundungan.

Abstract

This study investigates the integration of local wisdom into English Language Teaching (ELT) within the context of Islamic higher education, highlighting its role in enhancing pedagogical quality and cultural relevance. In many ELT settings, instructional practices remain dominated by globalized content that often overlooks local cultural identity and religious values. This research adopts a qualitative design using a census sampling technique involving all 18 English lecturers at IAIN Parepare, Indonesia. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews conducted via digital platforms and direct interactions, and analyzed using thematic analysis, including coding, categorization, and interpretation. The findings indicate that lecturers perceive local wisdom as a valuable pedagogical approach that enhances student motivation, engagement, and comprehension by contextualizing learning through local cultural narratives and Islamic values. However, the integration of local wisdom is not yet fully optimized due to challenges such as limited curriculum support, insufficient institutional policies, lack of teaching resources, and resistance to pedagogical change. This study contributes to the development of culturally responsive pedagogy in ELT by demonstrating that integrating local wisdom can enrich learning experiences and strengthen students’ cultural and religious identity. It also offers practical implications for curriculum development, teacher training, and institutional policy reform in Islamic higher education.
