Abstract

Abstract

Literacy development in early childhood is an important part of basic education. Microlearning, which presents learning material in short and focused form, can be one solution to increase children's interest and understanding of literacy. This research aims to develop microlearning-based learning media that is effective in increasing early childhood literacy. The research method used is research and development (R&D) with the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) model. This research was conducted at TKIT Nusantara Banten, the subjects in this research were children aged 4-6 years. The research results show that microlearning-based learning media can significantly improve children's literacy skills compared to conventional learning methods. Thus, microlearning can be used as an effective alternative learning method for young children.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of using Flash Card media on early childhood numeracy skills at PAUD Nurul Amin, Pamarayan District, Serang Regency, Banten. The background of this research highlights the importance of appropriate stimulation in developing children's cognitive abilities during the golden age. A quantitative method with a one-group pretest-posttest design was employed. The sample consisted of one experimental group that received treatment using Flash Card media. Data were collected through observation and documentation. The analysis results showed a significant improvement in children's numeracy skills after the treatment. Children demonstrated enhanced ability in answering questions and providing accurate responses. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that Flash Card media has a positive and significant impact on the numeracy skills of early childhood learners. Therefore, this media is recommended as an engaging and effective alternative for learning in early childhood education settings

Abstract

This study was motivated by the limited informatics learning facilities and infrastructure at Al-Ishlah Middle School, Cilegon. Observations revealed several problems in Informatics learning, including inadequate facilities and the suboptimal use of learning media. This research aimed to examine the influence of informatics learning facilities and infrastructure on students’ ability to operate computers. The study employed a quantitative method based on the philosophy of positivism to test hypotheses. This method is considered scientific because it reflects principles of concreteness, objectivity, measurability, rationality, and systematic inquiry. The research analyzed the management and utilization of computer laboratory facilities through quantitative data. Reliability testing showed that the facilities and infrastructure variable had a coefficient of 0.815, while the student ability variable had a coefficient of 0.913 from 60 statement items. Questionnaires X and Y, each with 30 items, were tested for validity and reliability. Data from 44 respondents showed average scores of 92.14 and 78.30, both normally distributed. A significance value of 0.396 indicated that the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted. The results concluded that informatics learning facilities and infrastructure significantly affect students’ ability to operate computers. The quality of these facilities is positively correlated with student competence. Although the average student ability score reached 78.30, improvements are still needed. Therefore, continuous efforts to enhance the quality of facilities, infrastructure, and informatics training are essential to optimize students’ learning outcomes.
