Abstract

The head of the computer laboratory is the person who leads and coordinates all planning, implementation and control activities in the laboratory and receives all periodic reports from laboratory staff and evaluates all existing activities and reports the results of the evaluation to the leadership. However, in the selection process, there were so many enthusiasts and the selection stages were so long, such as administration selection, competencies and interviews, that it was difficult for the school to make a decision in getting a new laboratory head candidate as expected. To overcome the problem of choosing a laboratory head who is difficult to make decisions, a decision support system is needed. A decision support system is a system capable of solving a problem and facilitating decision making. The method used for decision making is by using a combination of Additive Ratio Assessment (ARAS) and Rank Order Centroid (ROC) methods. This method is used to carry out settlements where the ROC method is used to find weight values and the ARAS method is used for a ranking based on existing criteria such as expertise, level of education, age, length of teaching and discipline. Where each criterion has its own weight value and the alternatives will be ranked. After doing a ranking, the results obtained from the combination of the ARAS method and the ROC method are M. Agus Salim Siregar (A4) with a score of 3.2794. These results can facilitate the selection team in making decisions and being elected as the head of the computer and network engineering laboratory at the Musda Perbaungan Private Vocational School.

Abstract

The use of storage media to store various files, whether text, video or audio, has been implemented for a long time and continues to grow today. The size of a file will affect the data transmission process as well as the use of large enough storage space. This is what lies behind the application of the compression process to a file so that the file size can be reduced and simplify the process of data transmission and use less storage space. One file that is often compressed is an audio file. Audio files often use a large enough storage space when compared to other document files. This is why compression of audio files is needed. In compressing audio files, the author will use the CELP method. This method is part of lossy compression. The lossy compression method recognizes that human hearing is limited so that not all data in the audio file can be heard directly. The lossy algorithm will provide a fairly large change in file size compared to lossless compression. The CELP method is applied because it can perform coding efficiently and the quality is maintained. In this study, it is known that the application of the CELP method on audio files produces an audio file compression application, especially those with the Mp3 extension. The compressed Mp3 audio file has a very small size with a compression ratio of 7.38%.

Abstract

Community service program is an important thing in Higher Education which aims to implement knowledge for the community. In this case, Budidarma University is working with FKPT (Private Higher Education Cooperation Forum in North Sumatra to try to apply existing knowledge through the PKM program by holding Graphic Design Training for MSMEs. MSMEs apart from playing a role in development and economic growth, they also have a significant contribution This training program focuses on aspects of graphic design and creative branding to help improve the business image of Sekar Handicraft Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Medan Tuntungan. The research method used is to analyze the needs of Sekar Handycraft by identifying the challenges faced by Sekar Handycraft SMEs related to graphic design and branding. Furthermore, designing creative branding training programs that suit your needs with graphic design, use of design software, logo development and branding strategies. Furthermore, it provides an in-depth understanding of how good design and strong branding can enhance the MSME business image. Furthermore, an evaluation was carried out to measure the impact on Sekar Handycraft MSMEs. includes improving product design, business image and increasing sales. The results of the evaluation show that this training program has succeeded in improving the business image of the Sekar Handycraft MSMEs. Thus, this training program not only benefits Sekar Handycraft MSMEs, but also contributes positively to the development of MSMEs in Medan Tuntungan as a whole and is a step in supporting local economic growth and improving the quality of MSME products in this area.

Abstract

Koperasi Unit Desa Hemat in collaboration with PT. Sago Nauli to process the results of oil palm plantations owned by local residents with a plasma oil palm plantation system, namely oil palm plantations owned by residents whose maintenance and development are carried out by PT. Sago Nauli through the mediation of Koperasi Unit Desa Hemat. manages 684 plots of land or the equivalent of 1368 hectares of oil palm land, and has 762 active members. The remaining Production Results (SHP) are always distributed to members of the oil palm land owners regularly in the middle of the month. Each member has a book that is used as evidence as well as a book to write down the distribution of SHP data. The writing in the book still uses a manual method so it is prone to errors or data falsification. Therefore a computer-based system is needed to minimize errors or falsification of data. Another obstacle faced is the unstable supply of electricity and frequent blackouts, making the use of electrically sourced electronic goods vulnerable to damage. Therefore, a reliable information system is needed that can be used to overcome errors that occur and can withstand unstable and frequent power outages. The implementation of this training program lasted for 2 days, due to the limited time of the participants in this community service activity. the implementation of activities is carried out at the Savings Village Unit Office. The training program is carried out by explaining as well as simulating the use of the SHP payment information system. By knowing and understanding the steps for using the Remaining Production Payment Information System (SHP), the management of the Cahaya Village Cooperative Unit no longer needs to record transactions manually to book members, printing member books can be done through the system that has been built.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi yang pesat menuntut sistem terkomputerisasi dalam berbagai aspek, termasuk pemilihan supplier bahan fresh. Proses manual dalam pemilihan supplier berisiko menimbulkan ketidaktepatan dan subjektivitas, yang dapat merugikan perusahaan akibat ketidaksesuaian supplier dengan kebutuhan. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan sistem pendukung keputusan yang dapat membantu menentukan supplier terbaik berdasarkan kriteria tertentu. Metode Multi-Objective Optimization on the Basis of Simple Ratio Analysis (MOOSRA) dengan pembobotan Rank Order Centroid (ROC) diterapkan untuk menangani pemilihan supplier dengan banyak alternatif dan kriteria. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa metode ini mempercepat dan meningkatkan akurasi proses seleksi supplier. Dari hasil perangkingan, supplier Rumah Jamur (A3) mendapatkan nilai tertinggi 36,43, sehingga menduduki peringkat pertama sebagai supplier terpilih. Dengan penerapan metode ini, jumlah supplier yang mendaftar berpotensi meningkat, memungkinkan seleksi yang lebih luas dan optimal. Sistem yang dikembangkan tidak hanya membantu perusahaan dalam memilih supplier terbaik tetapi juga meningkatkan efisiensi dalam pengelolaan data dan pengambilan keputusan. Dengan demikian, integrasi teknologi dalam proses ini sangat diperlukan untuk meningkatkan efektivitas operasional perusahaan dan memastikan ketersediaan bahan fresh yang berkualitas sesuai dengan standar yang telah ditetapkan.
