Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pendapatan dan kelayakan usaha padi ladang berdasarkan sistem budidaya pertanian yang dijalankan oleh petani yang ada di Desa Tampalang, Kecamatan Tapalang, Kabupaten Mamuju. Pelaksanaan kegiatan penelitian mulai tahap observasi, pengumpulan data, hingga penulisan laporan kurang lebih selama 5 bulan (Juni-November 2021). Data yang dikumpulkan dalam penelitian adalah data primer dan data sekunder. Data primer diperoleh dari hasil observasi dan wawancara langsung terhadap petani responden dengan bantuan instrumen quesioner, sedangkan data sekunder diperoleh dari berbagai instansi pemerintah yang terkait. Teknik analisis data mengunakan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif, dimana data kualitatif dibutuhkan untuk menjelaskan aspek non finansial, sedangkan data kuantitatif dibutuhkan untuk aspek finansial dan kelayakan usaha yang didapatkan dengan menggunakan rumus matematis. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Rata-rata pendapatan usahatani padi ladang sebesar Rp.9.720.000/produksi dengan rata-rata nilai R/C ratio usahatani yaitu 2,9. Oleh karena itu, usahatani padi ladang di Desa Tampalang dapat dikatakan menguntungkan dan layak untuk diusahakan. This study aims to analyze the income and feasibility of field rice business based on the agricultural cultivation system run by farmers in Tappalang village, Tapalang sub-district, Mamuju regency. The implementation of research activities starting from the observation stage, data collection, to report writing for approximately 5 months (June-November 2021). The data collected in the study were primary data and secondary data. Primary data was obtained from the results of observations and direct interviews with respondent farmers with the help of questioner instruments, while secondary data were obtained from various relevant government agencies. Data analysis techniques use a quantitative descriptive approach, where qualitative data is needed to explain non-financial aspects, while quantitative data is needed for financial aspects and business feasibility obtained using mathematical formulas. The results showed that the average income of farmed rice fields was Rp.9,720,000 / production with an average R / C value of the farm business ratio of 2.9. Therefore, the rice field farming business in Tampalang village can be said to be profitable and worth to working on (strongly recommended).

Abstract

Various studies and facts show that a developed nation is a nation whose character is strong. The integration of local wisdom culture is important to be developed into learning materials because it has a high potential to be utilized in developing the character of students. West Sulawesi Province can be one example. Mandar people living in the province have various cultures and philosophies of cultural diversity which are called the "Malaqbiq Tau Mandar". It is a cultural role model and a moral principle for the Mandar people of West Sulawesi. However, as time goes by, the cultural character of Malaqbiq Tau Mandar tends to be neglected, especially in the learning process in class. This can be seen in the lack of students. Therefore, this study aims to explore the character education values of Malaqbiq Tau Mandar as the basis to develop student character building at the University of West Sulawesi. This study was designed as a qualitative study using an ethnopedagogical approach. Data collection was carried out through interviews, observation, and documentation. Then, the data were analyzed through data reduction, data display, and conclusions. From the results of the study, it was revealed that the Malaqbiq Tau Mandar culture contains the following educational values: Malaqbiq pau. Second, Malaqbiq kedzo. Third, Malaqbiq sipaq, and fourth, Malaqbiq gauq (having a good spiritual level and good behavior or morals). In conclusion, Malaqbiq Tau Mandar's (MTM) character culture plays an important role in character education. Therefore, its good values should be integrated into the learning process to improve student character.

Abstract

ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis keterampilan berpikir kritis mahasiswa terhadap Mata Kuliah Bioteknologi Penelitian ini menggunakan metode survey dengan cara penyebaran angket dan pemberian tes untuk mengetahui pengetahuan mahasiswa tentang konsep bioteknologi. Berdasarkan survei yang dilakukan terhadap mahasiswa Unsulbar Program Pendidikan biologi menunjukkan bahwa Keterampilan Berpikir Kritis Mahasiswa Universitas Sulawesi Barat pada dasarnya dalam kategori rendah dimana pada indikator dalam memberikan penjelasan sederhana dengan persentase 67,5%, Indikator dalam membangun keterampilan dasar dengan persentase 70,6%, indikator dalam menyimpulkan 50,1%, indikator dalam penjelasan lanjut sebanyak 56% dan indikator pada mengatur strategi dan taktik sebanyak 53,7%. Indikator menyimpulkan, penjelasan lanjut, dan indikator pada mengatur strategi dan taktik berada pada kategori rendah yaitu dengan persentase di bawah 60%. Dari hasil analisis yang didapatkan, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa keterampilan berpikir kritis mahasiswa biologi Universitas Sulawesi Barat terhadap mata kuliah bioteknologi masih rendah. Oleh karena itu perlu dilakukan pembenahan dalam penelitian lanjutan.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze creativity in thinking in programming learning of Mathematics Education students at the University of West Sulawesi. The type of research in this study is quantitative research with a descriptive approach. The population in this study were students majoring in Mathematics Education, FKIP, University of West Sulawesi Semester III consisting of 3 class groups. The sample in this study was students majoring in Mathematics Education, FKIP, University of West Sulawesi Semester III Class A as many as 22 people. Data on student learning outcomes in programming courses were collected using performance tests and data on creativity in thinking using questionnaires. The results of the analysis of the research data obtained an average value of student programming learning outcomes of 77.5 and a value of 77.5> 70 which is the standard passing value. For creativity in thinking data, an average value of 83.36 was obtained and an average percentage of creativity in thinking was 79.39% and this value is included in the high category. There are 22 samples (100%) that have creativity in thinking in the high category. Of the 22 samples that have high thinking creativity, there are 3 samples (14%) with high thinking creativity that have learning outcome values ​​<70 and there are 19 samples (86%) with high thinking creativity that have learning outcome values ​​≥70. Based on the results of data analysis, it can be concluded that samples that have high thinking creativity also have high programming learning outcomes.

Abstract

Misconceptions can significantly hinder the learning process. To address this, various diagnostic instruments such as two-tier (2TMC), three-tier, and four-tier multiple-choice questions have been introduced. However, as the number of tiers increases, identifying misconceptions becomes more complex. Therefore, this study employs the Item Option Characteristics Curve (IOCC) to identify misconceptions by calculating the probability of each option being selected. The Representational Systems and Chemical Reactions Diagnostic Instrument (RSCRDI) was administered to 185 pre-service teachers across three universities in Indonesia. The data was analyzed using Winstep software to generate the IOCC for each item. The analysis revealed that each item in the phenomenon and reasoning tiers contains distractors that could interfere with the option selected by pre-service chemistry teachers. While the alternative answers identified using traditional methods (commonly used since the introduction of 2TMC) were mostly similar to those identified by IOCC, the IOCC provided more detailed insights. Specifically, it highlighted unexpected curves after 0 logits, identified less effective distractors, and revealed inconsistencies in the most influential distractors. These findings suggest that the IOCC provides richer, more detailed information and can be a valuable alternative framework for analyzing 2TMC items to unfold misconceptions.

Abstract

There are numerous reported studies to find the best way of teaching physics, but their quantitative analysis merely depends on some inferential statistics comprising ANCOVA, t-test etc. Those analysis do not generate detailed information of student’s abilities, therefore this study analyze the effects of double-loop problem solving teaching methods towards student’s critical thinking using Rasch analysis. In this study, the samples were divided into experimental group and control group with 28 students and 25 students respectively. After the intervention, their critical thinking was measured using instrument that has been validated and pilot tested using Rasch analysis by considering their reliability, item fit statistics, and unidimensionality. Abstract

This study aims to explore the role of extracurricular activities in shaping the character of elementary school children, as well as to examine the integration of local values in these activities. This study employs a qualitative approach with a case study design involving eight informants—teachers, parents, principals, and students — who are actively involved in extracurricular activities. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews and analyzed using a thematic analysis approach. The results of the study indicate that extracurricular activities in elementary schools have a significant influence on developing students' character, such as discipline, cooperation, leadership, and a sense of responsibility. Extracurricular activities such as Scouting, Paskibraka, futsal, and drum band play an essential role in fostering positive character in students. Additionally, these activities incorporate local values, such as cooperation and environmental responsibility. Despite challenges related to time constraints and limited resources, support from schools, teachers, and the community is crucial to maximizing the benefits of these activities. This study reveals that integrating local values into extracurricular activities not only strengthens students' character but also preserves local culture and traditions while reinforcing national pride and cultural identity. The findings of this study are expected to contribute to a deeper understanding of the role of extracurricular activities in character education and provide recommendations for the development of more effective educational policies in elementary schools.

Abstract

Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tentang kemampuan self efficacy mahasiswa pada mata kuliah Biologi Sel. didasarkan atas data empiris yang dikumpulkan dari mahasiswa pendidikan Biologi di Universitas Sulawesi Barat. Analisis dari 30 kuesioner mengungkapkan berbagai perbedaan berdasarkan tingkat pengalaman. Selanjutnya data yang diperoleh diolah dengan menggunakan statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara umum pada dimensi magnitudo/level (tingkat kesulitan tugas) sebagai perwujudan seberapa besar optimisme mahasiswa pada keberhasilan (65,33%), kemampuan mahasiswa dalam penyesuaian diri terhadap tugas yang sulit (66,70%), kemampuan mahasiswa dalam menghindari situasi dan perilaku yang melampaui batas kemampuan (77,35%); dimensi strength (kemantapan keyakinan dan harapan) meliputi kemampuan dalam mempertahankan (59,70%), keuletan (76,7%); dimensi generality (keragaman dan luas bidang perilaku) meliputi kemampuan kognitif (66%), kemampuan afektif (84,70%) dan kemampuan psikomotik (56,70%).

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menguji efektivitas Intervensi Pembelajaran Berbasis Tantangan (Challenge-Based Learning), dalam meningkatkan ketangguhan belajar mahasiswa calon guru di era informasi instan. Metode yang digunakan adalah eksperimen semu dengan model pretest–posttest control group, melibatkan dua kelas sebanding berjumlah masing-masing 20 mahasiswa. Instrumen Ketangguhan Belajar di Era Informasi Instan mencakup empat aspek: grit, self-regulated learning, efektivitas belajar, dan ketergantungan terhadap informasi instan. Hasil analisis menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pada kelompok eksperimen (M = 78.95, SD = 5.16) dibandingkan kontrol (M = 66.85, SD = 5.02), dengan ΔM = 17.10; t = 4.82; p = .001; d = 1.05. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa pembelajaran berbasis tantangan efektif meningkatkan ketangguhan belajar mahasiswa, tercermin pada peningkatan ketekunan, regulasi diri, dan efektivitas belajar, serta menurunkan ketergantungan terhadap informasi instan. Proses guided struggle mendorong karakter adaptif dan mandiri dalam menghadapi kompleksitas pembelajaran digital. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan penerapan berkelanjutan model ini untuk membentuk karakter tangguh dan kesiapan adaptif calon guru abad ke-21.

Abstract

Provinsi Sulawesi Barat tepatnya di Kabupaten Majene adalah salah satu tempat di Indonesia yang memiliki populasi spesies ikan terbang atau biasa dikenal masyarakat setempat dengan istilah ikan tuing-tuing. Namun beberapa tahun terakhir, populasi ikan tuing-tuing di Kabupaten Majene telah mengalami penurunan yang signifikan. Hal ini terjadi karena adanya beberapa faktor yang menyebabkan penurunan jumlah populasi itu terjadi, seperti penangkapan ikan dan telur ikan tuing-tuing secara bebas, kurangnya Tingkat Kematangan Gonad (TKG) Ikan Yang Tertangkap, dan adanya aktivitas manusia yang merugikan tempat habitat ikan tuing-tuing. Untuk mengatasi hal tersebut, peran serta masyarakat nelayan dan pemerintah setempat dalam melestarikan ikan tuing-tuing sangat dibutuhkan. Upaya yang dapat dilakukan seperti, adanya Pembuatan Zonasi Untuk Marine Protected Area (MPA) (Sustainable Development), perlindungan ikan tuing-tuing secara tertulis, Pengaturan Waktu dan jalur Penangkapan, Pembenihan Telur Ikan Terbang, Penyediaan Mata Pencaharian Alternatif Bagi Nelayan Potangnga Karena Bersifat Musiman, Pengaturan izin penggunaan Alat Tangkap Dengan Mata Jaring ≥1,5 Inchi ; Dengan Panjang Jaring <1000 m sehingga selektivitasnya tinggi (Pengembangan Alat Tangkap Yang Efisien) dan memberikan penyadaran kepada masyarakat nelayan sekitar. Metode pada penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif melalui kajian literature, observasi, angket dan wawancara terbuka.
