Abstract

This study aims to identify factors that influence self-esteem in school-age children and how each factor shapes children's self-esteem. Self-esteem in school-age children is an important aspect of their psychological development, considering that this is when children begin to socialize more widely outside the family. The research method used is a qualitative approach with in-depth interview techniques with some children, parents, and teachers, as well as participatory observation in the school environment. The study results indicate that family factors, peers, school environment, academic achievement, individual character, and media influence play a significant role in shaping children's self-esteem. Emotional support and recognition from parents, positive relationships with peers, and appreciation from teachers are elements that support the formation of healthy self-esteem. Conversely, pressure from the environment, academic failure, and exposure to unrealistic social standards through the media have the potential to lower children's self-esteem. In conclusion, synergy is needed between family, school, and the surrounding environment to create conditions that support children's self-esteem to grow optimally, which will help them become confident and resilient individuals in facing challenges.

Abstract

kajian yang diangkat adalah pendididikan anak lereng gunung : asa pendidikan nasional di lereng tengger argosari lumajang dalam penelitian ini ada tiga pertanyaan penting, pertama, bagaimana demografi sosiohistoris di desa argosari tengger luamajang jawa timur ? kedua, bagaimana respos masyarakat tengger terhadap pendidikan wajib 12 tahun ? ketiga, revitalisasi efektifitas pendidikan wajib belajar 12 tahun bagi anak-anak tengger lereng semeru ? dengan menggunakan pendekatan penelitian kualitatif ini menggunakan pendekatan studi kasus tunggal, karena tujuan peneliti dalam penelitian kali ini berfokus pada satu isu tertentu yang ada dalam lingkup masyarakat tengger argosari, yaitu “minimnya masyarakat tengger argosari dalam melakukan penuntasan kebijakan wajib belajar 12 tahun”. Dalam penelitian ini, terkait dengan respon masyarakat terhadap kebijakan yang telah di sahkan oleh pemerintah, yaitu wajib belajar 12 tahun, peneliti mendapatkan satu kesimpulan yang penting untuk diketahui oleh peneliti sendiri dan juga oleh para pembaca. kesimpulan dapat diambil dari kasus ini adalah, bahwasanya untuk melakukan pendidikan tidak harus dengan sekolah formal. pendidikan dalam menjaga adat/tradisi dalam sebuah daerah juga penting untuk kesejahteraan dan berlangsungnya kehidupan dalam suatu daerah tersebut.

Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PKM) dilaksanakan sebagai upaya meningkatkan keterampilan vokasional masyarakat dan memperkuat kemandirian ekonomi berbasis potensi lokal. Program pelatihan ini dirancang untuk menjawab kebutuhan masyarakat akan keterampilan teknis yang relevan dengan dunia kerja, mengingat sebagian besar penduduk setempat bekerja pada sektor informal dengan tingkat pendapatan yang fluktuatif. Metode pelaksanaan PKM meliputi empat tahap utama, yaitu analisis kebutuhan, perencanaan program, penyampaian materi teori, praktik langsung pengelasan, serta evaluasi dan tindak lanjut. Pelatihan diberikan melalui pendekatan pembelajaran partisipatif dan metode praktik (learning by doing), sehingga peserta dapat menguasai keterampilan teknis pengelasan secara efektif. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan dalam kemampuan peserta dalam mengoperasikan mesin las, melaksanakan teknik penyambungan logam, dan menerapkan prosedur keselamatan kerja (K3). Selain peningkatan kompetensi teknis, program ini juga mampu menumbuhkan motivasi peserta untuk memanfaatkan keterampilan yang diperoleh sebagai peluang usaha mandiri, ditandai dengan munculnya rencana pembukaan usaha bengkel las rumahan dan penerimaan pekerjaan las sederhana di lingkungan sekitar. Pelaksanaan pelatihan ini memberikan kontribusi nyata dalam mengurangi pengangguran, meningkatkan produktivitas masyarakat, dan mendorong pertumbuhan ekonomi desa secara berkelanjutan. Pelatihan teknik pengelasan ini menjadi model pemberdayaan masyarakat berbasis keterampilan yang layak untuk dikembangkan lebih lanjut dan direplikasi pada bidang vokasional lainnya sebagai langkah memperkuat pembangunan desa mandiri dan berdaya saing.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of Islamic educational values in  shaping students’ disciplinary character at Madrasah Tsanawiyah. The research  focuses on the internalization process of aqidah, akhlaq, and ibadah values in  developing students’ disciplined behavior, as well as the disciplinary guidance  strategies applied by teachers and the institution. This study employs a qualitative  approach using a descriptive method. Data were collected through observation,  interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using data reduction, data display,  and conclusion drawing techniques. The findings reveal that Islamic educational  values play an important role in shaping students’ disciplinary character through  Islamic Religious Education learning, habituation of religious activities, and  teacher role modeling. Disciplinary guidance strategies are carried out through  persuasive and humanistic approaches, such as providing rewards, positive  reinforcement, rule reminders, personal counseling, and implementation of  educational consequences. This approach aligns with Bandura’s social learning  theory on behavioral modeling and Skinner’s reinforcement theory emphasizing the  importance of positive reinforcement. The implementation of Islamic educational  values is proven effective in developing students’ discipline in terms of punctuality,  adherence to school regulations, academic responsibility, and consistency in  performing worship.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the importance of understanding the use of language in political communication in digital media, especially expressive speech that not only conveys information, but also shows the attitude and feelings of the speaker. The problem in this study is how the function of expressive speech is used in political discussions on YouTube and how it plays a role in building meaning and influencing the audience. This study aims to identify and analyze the function of expressive speech in Gita Wirjawan's YouTube video entitled "Is it possible to have a Meritocracy in the midst of mediocrity". The novelty of this research lies in the focus of the study that discusses digital political discussions that are open and interactive, and not only identifies the types of speech, but also examines the function and context of its use. This research uses a qualitative approach with a content analysis method. Data in the form of oral speech was obtained through listening and recording techniques, then analyzed through the stages of reduction, classification, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that there were 87 expressive speeches consisting of four main functions, namely criticizing (35 data), praising (28 data), satirizing (20 data), and thanking (4 data). The criticism function is the most dominant because the discussion that takes place is argumentative, while the praise function acts as a counterbalance so that communication continues to run well. The conclusion of this study shows that expressive speech does not only function as an expression of feelings, but also as a strategy in expressing opinions, building arguments, and influencing the audience's perspective in digital political discussions.
