Abstract

DAS Oba merupakan salah satu DAS yang sangat potensial terutama bagaian tengah-hilir karena ketergantungan penduduknya terhadap sumberdaya alam berupa hutan sekunder, permukiman, perkebunan maupun pertanian. Ketergantungan tersebut belum disertai dengan pengelolaan yang optimal terhadap peningkatan produksi pertanian serta upaya-upaya konservasi dalam menjaga dan melindungi DAS Oba dari kerusakan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah: 1) mengevaluasi kemampuan lahan sampai pada tingkat sub kelas kemampuan lahan di bagian tengah-hilir DAS Oba; dan 2) mengetahui penggunaan lahan yang sesuai dengan kelas kamampuan lahan di bagian tengah-hilir DAS Oba. Metode yang digunakan yaitu pendekatan analitik dimana wilayah penelitian dibagi ke dalam satuansatuan lahan. Evaluasi kelas kemampuan lahan menggunakan software LCLP (Land Classification and Landuse Planning). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) kelas kemampuan lahan di bagian tengah terdapat lima kelas kemampuan lahan, yaitu: kelas III seluas 408,2 ha (9,9%), kelas IV seluas 608,3 ha (14,7%), kelas VI seluas 168,4 ha (40,5%), kelas VII seluas 634,9 ha (15,3%) dan kelas VIII seluas818,7 ha (19,7%) dan 2) Lahan yang sesuai untuk pengembangan pertanian berada pada kelas III seluas 408,2 ha (9,9%) dan kelas IV seluas 608,3 ha (14,7%).

Abstract

The objective oj the research was to study the effects oj organic matter and N, P, K Jertilizer on nutrients uptake andyield oj corn in Inceptisol Ternate. The design oj the research was Jactorial completely randomized block design with twoJactors. The first Jactor was the rate oj organic matter (0, 20, 40 tlha) or (B(), B, and B z) and the second Jactor was the rate oj N, P, KJertilizer (0.5; I and /.5 recommended rate) or (Flo F] and F JJ. The results oj research showed that combination oj B ,F] gave the highest amount oj the corn leave at 42 days afterplanting, the weight oj corn with husk cover, the weight corn grains, and K-availability oj soil. Whereas, the rate oj 20 tlhaorganic matter (B,) significantly increased and gave the highest weight oj corn without husk cover, NPK corn plant contentand P uptake. The average NPK plant uptake oJcorn was 31.41-39.39 kg Nlha, 6.03-/2.54 kg Plha, 37.5-41.70 kg Klha. The average production oj corn was 5. /6-7.83 tlha.

Abstract

The Objectives of study were to find out some chemistry and physical soil conditions, to evaluate and map soil fertility status according to Cation Exchange Capacity (CEC), alkali solution (KB), C-organic and N, P, K unsure and to arrange the alternatives of soil management in improving limited factor of soil fertility. Data were collected for soil and physical environment on soil survey method with a fisiography approach which is to splite landscape on units of landform then to free survey the landform units. Field observation on soil identification was digging and fulfilling the profile scape. The chemical soil fertility is divided into three categories: (1) high fertility in organosol hemic (Histosol), (2) middle fertility in Rodik Mediteran (Alfisol), Mediteran Gleik (Alfisol), kambisol kromik (Inceptisol) and podsolic rodik (Ultisol) and (3) low fertility in kambisol gleik (Inceptisol), Podsolik Rodik-Ultisol and kambisol Eutrik-Inceptisol. Limited reclamation effort was calcium carbonat for improving pH and organic matter that be able to increase CEC, Kalium, and Phosphor. Whole mentioned above can improve the fertility unsure on soil.  Key words : soil fertility, alternative management, Oba River Basin

Abstract

Inceptisol Ternate adalah tanah yang memiliki Carbon organic (C organik), Nitrogen total (N total), Fosfor total (P total) dan Kapasitas Tukar Kation (KTK) tanah yang rendah, oleh sebab itu harus di barengi dengan tindakan pemupukan. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian pupuk kandang kambing di tanah inceptisol terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman caisim. Rancangan yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan perlakuan pemberian pupuk kandang kambing, yang terdiri atas 5 tingkat, yaitu: H0 = kontrol (tanpa pupuk), H1 = 10 ton ha-1, H2 = 20 ton ha-1, H3 = 30 ton ha-1, dan H4 = 40 ton ha-1, masing-masing diulang 4 kali. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pemberian pupuk kandang kambing di tanah inceptisol memberikan pengaruh yang nyata (p>0,05) terhadap tinggi tanaman caisim pada umur 10 hari setelah tanam, namun pada umur 20 dan 30 tidak berpengaruh nyata, demikian pula untuk jumlah daun, luas daun, berat segar, persen kadar air dan pH tanah pengaruhnya tidak nyata. Produksi tertinggi dicapai pada perlakuan dosis pupuk kandang kambing 40 ton ha-1 yakni 13,25 ton ha-1 sedangkan terendah pada kontrol yakni 5,75 ton ha-1.

Abstract

Village in Ternate City has the potential to be developed as an agricultural area because the soil type is Inceptisol which is suitable for agriculture. The ability of the soil to pass water, or what is commonly called soil permeability, is one of the important components for agricultural land management. Soil structure and texture as well as other organic elements play a role in increasing the rate of soil permeability. This study aims to understand soil permeability and soil water content in Gambesi. Samples were taken at a depth of 0-20 cm (Layer I) and 20-40 cm (Layer II) on three types of land use: residential areas, mixed dry land, and clove and nutmeg plantations. Soil sampling technique used purposive random sampling method. Identification of soil properties in the field is carried out using drill identification techniques, sample rings and profiling. Parameters observed were permeability, percent soil moisture content, specific gravity, particle density and soil texture. The results showed that the soil in each layer and type of land use had a variable permeability rate of 0.63-1.91 cm/hour, with a soil moisture content of 21.6-30.43%, a density of 1.01-1.91 cm. 1.23 gram/cm3, particle density of 2.0-2.27 gram/cm3, and porosity of 39.40-55.41%. The soil texture is sandy loam and sandy clay loam. The rate of soil permeability based on land use type has a rather slow permeability class, while the soil water content is at a permanent wilting point condition.Keywords: Bulk density, particle density, porosity, soil permeability, and soil water content

Abstract

Rootstock affects the success rate of vegetative compatibility through the grafting method. Knowing one of the best rootstock ages that determine the percentage rate of success of the grafting method is the goal of this study. The method used was a randomized block design with 3 treatments for rootstock age 60 days, 90 days, and 120 days. The results showed that the difference in rootstock age affected 90% of the success of vegetative propagation using the connection method on the emergence of new shoots and the number of leaves. The highest percentage of success was in the treatment of rootstock seedlings aged 60 days (48.75%). The highest number of leaves was in the treatment of nutmeg seedling age of 60 days (6 pieces) while the lowest was in the treatment of 120 days (3 pieces).

Abstract

ABSTRACTMung bean (Vigna radiata L.) is a seasonal food crop  in the form of a shrub that grows upright. The research objective was to determine the effect  soil processing and dosing of chicken manure and interaction with  growth and production of green beans. This study used a factorial randomized block design (RBD) with two factors, where the first factor was soil processing P1 = without tillage, P2 = intensive tillage and the second factor was the dose of chicken manure, K0 = control (without fertilizer), K1 = 20 tonnes / ha, K2 = 40 tonnes / ha. The data analysis technique uses ANOVA (Analysis Of Variants), if there is a real effect of the treatment then it is continued with the DMRT α 5% test. The results showed that soil treatment had a significant effect on final volume weight, final density, final field capacity, final porosity and plant height at 20 HST, and the number of leaves aged 30 HST, while the combination treatment of soil treatment and chicken manure dose had no significant effect. on plant height growth at 10 HST, 30 HST, the number of leaves at 10 HST. The results showed that the highest dry seed production was 1.78 tons / ha in the P1K1 and P2K2 treatments and the lowest was 1.39 tons / ha in the P2K1 treatment.Keywords: Soil processing, chicken manure, physical properties, green beans, incepstisols

Abstract

 The availability of quality and sustainable animal feed is very important to support the growth and development of livestock. Problems faced by farmers in West Halmahera Regency include unsustainable availability of animal feed, especially during the dry season, and low-quality animal feed, resulting in low livestock productivity. This research aims to evaluate the suitability of land for animal feed in the Bobane Igo area, South Jailolo District, West Halmahera Regency, with an area of 1684.7 ha. The types of plants studied were lamtoro, calliandra, legumes, and turi. The methods used are field surveys, soil data analysis, and research data analysis using method matching. The research results show that the total area of the Bobane Igo area is 1684.7, indicating that the Bobane Igo area has high potential for developing ruminant animal feed. A total of 1023.4 ha (61%) for calliandra and 1154.2 ha (68%) for legumes. It is hoped that the development of animal feed crops in the Bobane Igo area can support food security and increase the income of breeders in the area.
