Abstract

ABSTRACT The increase in damage are experienced by many watershed due to human interactions and interventions which impacted in the hydrological balance that may lead to disasters. Flooding is a routine hydrological disaster that occurs in the Jambo Aye Basin. This study aims to analyze the relationship of the hydrological characteristics of the Jambo Aye Basin to the potential and occurrence of floods. Characteristics of slope, soil movement, hydrological soil group (HSG) analysis, antecedent precipitation index (API) and runoff curves are used as hydrological indicators to identify potential flooding in the watershed. The analysis show that the Jambo Aye Basin is proned to flooding. The potential for inundation floods is found in the downstream area which has the characteristics of gentle slopes (12%), very low infiltration capacity (37,95%), high runoff curve values (17%) and high levels of wetness (26%). Flash floods have the potential to occur in the upstream area which has the characteristics of steep slopes, soil movement and high rainfall. Integrated watershed management needs to be carried out in the Jambo Aye Basin considering the frequent occurrence of floods. Keywords: antecedent precipitation index; flash floods; flood; curve numbers; land use ABSTRAKDaerah Aliran Sungai (DAS) mengalami peningkatan kerusakan akibat hubungan dan interferensi manusia yang berdampak pada kesetimbangan hidrologi sehingga terjadi bencana. Bencana banjir yang merupakan bencana hidrologi rutin terjadi di DAS Jambo Aye. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisa hubungan karakteristik hidrologi DAS Jambo Aye terhadap potensi dan kejadian banjir di wilayah DAS Jambo Aye. Karakeristik kemiringan lereng, pergerakan tanah, analisis kelompok hidrologi tanah (HSG), Antecedent Precipitation Index (API) dan kurva limpasan digunakan sebagai indikator hidrologi untuk mengidentifikasi potensi banjir yang terjadi di DAS Jambo Aye. Analisis menunjukkan DAS Jambo Aye termasuk wilayah yang berpotensi mengalami banjir. Potensi banjir genangan terdapat di wilayah hilir yang mempunyai karakteristik lereng landai (12%), kapasitas infiltrasi sangat lambat (37,95%), nilai kurva limpasan tinggi (17%) dan tingkat kebasahan yang tinggi (26%). Banjir bandang berpotensi terjadi di wilayah hulu yang mempunyai karakteristik lereng curam, adanya pergerakan tanah dan curah hujan yang tinggi. Pengelolaan DAS perlu dilakukan di DAS Jambo Aye mengingat kejadian banjir yang sering terjadi. Kata kunci: antecedent precipitation index; banjir bandang; banjir; curve number; penggunaan lahan

Abstract

Penggunaan lahan di DAS Ciliwung Hulu setiap tahunnya mengalami konversi, sehingga berdampak pada aliran permukaan dan debit puncak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memproyeksikan perubahan penggunaan lahan dan dampaknya terhadap respon hidrologi DAS Ciliwung Hulu. Tools yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari tools analisis perubahan penggunaan lahan dan proyeksi yaitu model CLUE-S dan untuk respon hidrologi menggunakan tools HEC-GeoHMS yang dipadukan dengan tools GIS. Proyeksi perubahan penggunaan lahan pada tahun 2030 dengan nilai Kappa akurasi 0,93. Nilai NSE untuk kalibrasi dan validasi model HEC-HMS berkisar antara 0,700 – 0,621. Hasil simulasi respon hidrologi dari hasil proyeksi penggunaan lahan tahun 2030 terhadap dengan debit puncak 111,3 m3/det dan volume limpasan 6,00 x 106m3.

Abstract

Meningkatnya permintaan masyarakat akan sayuran mendorong petani untuk meningkatkan produksinya. Upaya yang dapat dilakukan untuk meningkatkan hasil panen antara lain penggunaan pupuk. Pemupukan dengan pupuk kimia merupakan alternatif yang sering dilakukan, namun kelangkaan pupuk kimia di pasaran membuat pupuk tersebut semakin mahal, sehingga perlu dicari alternatifnya. Pembuatan pupuk organik dari limbah tanaman merupakan salah satu alternatif yang memungkinkan, dengan teknologi EM yang akan mempercepat proses produksi pupuk. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilaksanakan di Kelurahan Kalumata Kota Ternate Selatan dengan tujuan membantu petani mengelola limbah pertaniannya dengan memanfaatkannya sebagai pupuk organik. Peserta pengabdian adalah anggota Kelompok Petani Sayur "Masure". Metode yang digunakan adalah metode penyuluhan dan demonstrasi. Kegiatan dilakukan secara langsung dengan anggota kelompok tani, diawal dan diakhir kegiatan dilakukan penilaian untuk mengetahui tingkat pengetahuan peserta pengabdian. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan bahwa pengetahuan dan pemahaman anggota kelompok tani “Masure” mengalami peningkatan. Hal ini tercermin dari peningkatan nilai tes akhir, dimana sebagian besar anggota mendapat nilai di atas 80. Peserta dalam kegiatan ini juga dapat memproduksi pupuk organik sendiri dengan memanfaatkan limbah organik dari sisa tanaman pasca panen dan kulit buah.

Abstract

Industrial Estates in general must see the feasibility of various basic aspects of the Region, especially the land aspect. Non-financial aspects of industrial estates in terms of markets and marketing currently have many competitors. This study aims to map the technical criteria for the feasibility of spatial-based district industrial estates and recommendations for the feasibility of developing industrial estates and industrial areas in the Sula Islands Regency of North Maluku Province. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method. Data analysis consists of analyzing the basic physical aspects of the area, which consists of analyzing slope, shape of the area, soil type geological formation, land elevation and land use. Analysis of the basic physical aspects of the area of technical criteria for the feasibility of industrial areas is carried out by overlaying map layer techniques so as to produce a map of industrial feasible areas or a map of district industrial designations. The results of the analysis show that the development of industrial areas in the Sula Islands Regency of North Maluku Province is very feasible for small and medium industries and large industries in accordance with the existing area and the potential of the area. Industrial estates are recommended in areas with slope levels (≤ 15%) and are located in other use areas spread across sub-districts.

Abstract

quantitative understanding of hydrological behavior watershed can be known from soil and climate characteristics. Soil characteristics were analyzed based on primary data from disturbed soil sampling to determine the soil texture class. The Texture Class was analyzed in the Soil Laboratory Bogor Agricultural Institute and classified by the USDA method. Climate characteristics of watershed Tamiang were analyzed using observational rainfall data and temperature data, to identify rain patterns, climate types, and the influence of ENSO and IOD on the Tamiang watershed. Climatic types are classified by the Schmidt-Ferguson, Oldeman and Koppen methods. The effect of ENSO and IOD on the regional climate of watershed Tamiang was analyzed using the climate explorer tool. As a result of the soil texture analysis, watershed Tamiang is dominated by clay texture. The characteristic rain pattern is equatorial with peak rainy seasons of May and October. The influence of ENSO's global climate on the regional climate of the Tamiang watershed is in the weak category with a correlation of -0.347, while the influence of IOD is very weak with a correlation of 0.089.

Abstract

Tourism is one sector that can improve the economy of a region. This sector plays an important role in sustaining life in the surrounding communities. Several studies have reported the condition of tourism but not much has been reported in the archipelago. This study aims to determine the distribution of tourist objects in Ternate Island, North Maluku, Indonesia. The method used is through descriptive analysis with a spatial approach in 2023. This research activity is completing the distribution of tourist objects such as natural attractions, historical and cultural attractions and artificial attractions. The map output that has been compiled presents a distribution of 60 tourist objects consisting of 30 natural attractions, 18 historical and cultural attractions, and 12 artificial attractions. In addition, West Ternate District has the highest number of tourist objects with 24 tourist objects and in North Ternate District there are 12 tourist objects

Abstract

 The availability of quality and sustainable animal feed is very important to support the growth and development of livestock. Problems faced by farmers in West Halmahera Regency include unsustainable availability of animal feed, especially during the dry season, and low-quality animal feed, resulting in low livestock productivity. This research aims to evaluate the suitability of land for animal feed in the Bobane Igo area, South Jailolo District, West Halmahera Regency, with an area of 1684.7 ha. The types of plants studied were lamtoro, calliandra, legumes, and turi. The methods used are field surveys, soil data analysis, and research data analysis using method matching. The research results show that the total area of the Bobane Igo area is 1684.7, indicating that the Bobane Igo area has high potential for developing ruminant animal feed. A total of 1023.4 ha (61%) for calliandra and 1154.2 ha (68%) for legumes. It is hoped that the development of animal feed crops in the Bobane Igo area can support food security and increase the income of breeders in the area.

Abstract

F Pupuk dan pestisida merupakan komponen kunci dalam meningkatkan produktivitas lahan. Permintaan penggunaan pupuk dan pestisida organik saat ini makin meningkat seiring dengan meningkatnya kerusakan tanah dalam memproduksi biomassa akibat penggunaan pupuk dan pestisida anorganik yang berlebihan. Pemanfaatan pupuk dan pestisida organik menjadi solusi mengurangi kerusakan tanah di masa yang akan datang. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilaksanakan di Agrowisata Loto, Ternate, Maluku Utara. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini untuk memberikan pengetahuan mengenai pemanfaatan penggunaan pupuk dan pestisida organik di kawasan Agrowisata. Peserta pengabdian merupakan kelompok tani Agrowisata Loto. Kegiatan ini dilakukan secara langsung dengan kelompok tani Agrowisata Loto. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat kelompok tani Agrowisata Loto mengalami pemahaman yang signifikan dari 40% belum memahami menjadi 100 %. Peserta pun antusias untuk memanfaatkan pupuk dan pestisida organik untuk mengurangi dampak dari penggunaan pupuk dan pestisida anorganik. Kata kunci: Kerusakan tanah, produktivitas lahan, pupuk dan pestisida organik. ABSTRACT Fertilizers and pesticides are key components in increasing land productivity. The demand for the use of organic fertilizers and pesticides is currently increasing along with the increasing damage to the soil in producing biomass due to the excessive use of inorganic fertilizers and pesticides. The use of organic fertilizers and pesticides is a solution to reduce soil damage in the future. This community service activity was carried out at Loto Agrotourism, Ternate, Maluku. The purpose of this community service is to provide knowledge about the use of organic fertilizers and pesticides in the Agrotourism area. The service participants were the Loto Agrotourism farmer group. This activity was carried out directly with the Loto Agro-tourism farmer group. The results of community service activities of the Loto Agrotourism farmer group experienced a significant understanding from 40% not understanding to 100%. Participants were enthusiastic about utilizing organic fertilizers and pesticides to reduce the impact of using inorganic fertilizers and pesticides. Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat berlangsung pada lahan percontohan PKK di Kelurahan Maliaro Kota Ternate. Kegiatan diikuti oleh seluruh anggota PKK dan tim pengabdian masyarakat beserta mahasiswa yang dilaksanakan pada Mei 2024. Metode yang digunakan adalah penyuluhan dan pelatihan. Kegiatannya mencakup eksplorasi dan penanaman yang dilakukan secara langsung pada lahan percontohan. Eksplorasi meliputi kegiatan pembersihan gulma atau rumput liar di area lahan dan penggemburan tanah dan persiapan media tanam. Reboisasi atau penghijauan difokuskan dengan melakukan penanaman bibit tanaman kangkong, sawi dan jagung. Tujuan dari PKM ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan kepada masyarakat tentang pentingnya menjaga kelestarian lingkungan melalui gerakan penghijauan. Kegiatan pengabdian ini mendapatkan apresiasi dari masyarakat khususnya PKK Kelurahan Maliaro. Kegiatan ini juga diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat dalam menjaga kondisi lingkungan agar tetap lestari dengan langkah dan upaya sederhana seperti melakukan Gerakan penghijauan. Penamanam tanaman sayuran di lahan percontohan PKK Kelurahan Maliaro juga dapat dimanfaatkan untuk konsumsi sekaligus memberikan nilai ekonomi bagi masyarakat.
