Abstract

Teachers recognize that different language teaching methods are appropriate for different situations. The social context and desire of immigrant adults to learn English as a Second Language (ESL) requires that the educational approach be different from that of other students. who must pass the school exams. SFL's contributions to language teaching focus on providing descriptions of the language as it is actually used and suggesting ways to help learners understand its usage. In other words, they tend to focus on the expected learning outcome rather than the learning process. This helps researchers find contextual features that influence the grammatical features of the language under study. We analyze the ups and downs of language use in cultural and situational contexts and how language function development responds to the functional demands of the situation. Here are some facts that can be used as evidence of conversational behavior development and change. The context of the spoken language is relatively stable, making it easier for non-fluent speakers to share information. Fluent speakers are more free or flexible than non-fluent speakers when introducing context, and the use of dynamic speech by NS and NNS has been shown to help maintain conversational flow. I'm here. These two types of functionality have more limited functionality than the prompt and instruction types that occur at higher levels. This opens the opportunity for tender negotiations

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the forms of hate speech found in the comment sections of Instagram and TikTok accounts discussing the Governor of Aceh for the 2025–2030 term. The background of this research stems from the growing phenomenon of hate speech on social media, which often targets public figures particularly regional officials potentially influencing public image and trust. This research employs a descriptive qualitative method, with data collection techniques including reading, documentation, and note-taking on comments containing hate speech. The data were analyzed based on hate speech categories according to the Indonesian National Police Circular, R. Soesilo (in Permatasari & Subyantoro), the Indonesian Dictionary (KBBI), and other relevant theories on hate speech. The results indicate that there are 62 comments containing hate speech, consisting of 45 insults, 11 cases of defamation, 1 blasphemy, 3 instances of provocation, and 2 hoaxes. The most dominant category is insults, followed by defamation. This study concludes that social media has become a vulnerable space for the dissemination of hate speech, particularly in the context of local political issues. These findings are expected to provide input for the public to engage more wisely in online discourse and for authorities to strengthen digital literacy and law enforcement.
