Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuat aplikasi program berbasis Matlab. Program Matlab ini digunakan untuk menganalisa sifat lasing kaca TZBN yang didadah ion Nd3+, dengan komposisi 60TeO2-(35-x)ZnO-2Bi2O3-3Na2O-xNd2O3( x = 0,5; 1; 1,5; 2 mol%). Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pemodelan matematis dan analisis numerik. Program berbasis Matlab ini digunakan untuk menghitung parameter – parameter Judd Ofelt yang meliputi peluang transisi radiatif, peluang transisi radiatif total, radiatif lifetime dan branching ratio. Analisis perhitungan parameter – parameter Judd Ofelt menunjukkan kesalahan relatif rata-rata 1,156% terhadap perhitungan manual, sehingga program ini dapat digunakan untuk menganalisa sifat lasing kaca TZBN:Nd. Sifat lasing kaca TZBN:Nd yang ditunjukkan dari nilai probabilitas transisi dan branching ratio yang tertinggi pada level 4F3/2 à 4I11/2  dan tertinggi pada sampel K3 (x=0,5 mol%). Terdapat transisi dari level 4F3/2 à 4I15/2  yang bersesuaian dengan panjang gelombang 1380nm sehingga sampel kaca ini dapat digunakan sebagai material host laser pada jendela 1300 nm.

Abstract

Over the past decades, photonic crystals have emerged as interesting photonic structures. It plays a vital role in many fields of optical communication, biomedical sensing, and other applications due to its compactness, high sensitivity, high selectivity, fast responsiveness, etc. Strong light confinement in photonic crystals and adjustment of its geometrical parameters have led to the emergence of photonic crystal biosensors. Biosensors are extensively employed for diagnosing a broad array of diseases and disorders in clinical settings worldwide. Photonics crystal-based biosensor is one of the solutions to detect various diseases. By using literature review method, this paper aims to explore applications of photonic crystal-based biosensors to encounter the sensitivity of various biomolecules for cancer, malaria, and blood components detection.

Abstract

This research sought to compare the effectiveness of Science Technology Engineering Mathematics Problem Based Learning (STEM PBL) and Science Technology Engineering Mathematics Project Based Learning (STEM PjBL) learning models in fostering critical thinking abilities. Quantitative research with a pretest posttest comparison group design is the methodology employed. Based on the outcomes of an investigation of normal and homogeneous data. The increase falls into the high category because the average N-gain value for STEM PjBL on all facets of critical thinking skills is 0.76. STEM PBL, however, is 0.66, thus the growth is in the middle range. The independent t-test results revealed that there was a difference between the two courses in the development of critical thinking abilities, with sig. (2-tailed) of 0.01. The study's findings indicate that both STEM PjBL and STEM PBL can be utilized to enhance critical thinking abilities, but STEM PjBL is more beneficial in this regard.

Abstract

Kurangnya pemanfaatan teknologi dalam pembelajaran Fisika, sehingga menyebabkan peserta didik merasa jenuh dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran. Perlu adanya alternatif berupa media pembelajaran berbasis gamifikasi yang dapat meningkatkan keaktifan peserta didik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan kompetensi pengetahuan peserta didik dan kemampuan problem solving peserta didik dengan penerapan media pembelajaran Fisika berbasis gamifikasi. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMA Negeri 1 Teras Boyolali dengan subyek penelitian kelas XI MIPA 2 berjumlah 36 peserta didik. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang terdiri atas dua siklus. Masing-masing siklus terdiri atas perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis data kualitatif yang didukung dengan data kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, (1) persentase peningkatan kompetensi pengetahuan dengan kategori sedang sampai tinggi pada siklus I sebesar 27,78% (Rendah) menjadi 83,33% (Sangat Tinggi) pada siklus II, (2) rata-rata nilai kemampuan problem solving peserta didik 66,67 (Kurang) pada pra siklus meningkat menjadi 82,08 (Baik) pada siklus I dan meningkat menjadi 87,78 (Sangat Baik) pada siklus II. Hasil wawancara dengan guru dan peserta didik juga mennyatakan bahwa dengan adanya penggunaan media pembelajaran Fisika berbasis gamifikasi peserta didik tidak merasa jenuh dan guru sangat terbantu dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang dilaksanakan pada kelas XI MIPA 2 di SMA Negeri 1 Teras Boyolali dapat disimpulkan bahwa media pembelajaran Fisika berbasis gamifikasi dapat meningkatkan kompetensi pengetahuan peserta didik dan kemampuan problem solving peserta didik.

Abstract

Pada era Revolusi Industri 4.0 berkembang internet of things dengan sangat cepat yang menandakan dunia industri telah mengalami kemajuan. Kemajuan ini adalah penggabungan teknologi otomatisasi dan teknology cyber. Kemajuan teknologi telah menghasilkan penemuan-penemuan penting, seperti otomatisasi, analisis data, simulasi, integrasi sistem, penggunaan robot, dan teknologi cloud untuk penyimpanan data. Hal ini menyebabkan terhubungnya semua sektor industri melalui website yang terintegrasi secara otomatis. Kemajuan teknologi telah mengubah kehidupan manusia, termasuk gaya hidup berkelanjutan. Sehingga masyarakat perlu menyesuaikan perubahan sejalan dengan transformasi digital. Digitalisasi memunculkan penciptaan robot-robot yang dapat membantu pihak industri. Namun adanya digitalisasi juga menimbulkan polemik di masyarakat, yaitu anggapan Revolusi Industri 4.0 yang menghadirkan robot sebagai pengganti peran manusia. Polemik ini berdasar dari ketidaktahuan masyarakat mengenai sistem otomatisasi dari robot. Maka menjadi peluang sekaligus tantangan bagi pengabdi untuk memberikan pengetahuan mengenai dasar-dasar sistem otomatisasi kepada peserta didik tingkat sekolah menengah atas.

Abstract

Critical thinking is one of the competencies that is of concern for the success of K–12 education. Progressively, the development of critical thinking research and K–12 education has increased rapidly in recent years. This study conducted a bibliometric review of critical thinking in K–12 education to undertake a tracking of the research trends over the last 50 years, using metadata obtained from the Scopus database. The main findings of the study are: (1) critical thinking in K–12 education has increased exponentially since the 2000s; (2) even though the United States is the centre of distribution of this research, the institution with the largest number of publications is in Indonesia..; (3) the field of critical thinking encompasses a wealth of constantly evolving research topics, and the research topic of critical thinking skills has gained significant popularity. This study has significant ramifications and could be used as a point of reference for future research.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to make an Arduino Uno-based doppler effect practicum tool with a Max4466 sensor, to find out the results of testing an Arduino Uno-based doppler effect practicum tool with a Max446 sound sensor. The research methodology used is linear regression of the instrument calibration experiment. The data of this research is data from the experimental results of practicum tools made with the calibration tool. This study states that the Max4466 Sound Sensor reads the frequency of sound then the data is processed and sent by Arduino Uno via commands on the Arduino IDE and the Data Streamer menu to Microsoft Excel. After that, the tool calibration process is carried out by comparing the frequency value between what is read on the sensor and the calibrator (digital multi-meter). This practicum tool innovation could directs teachers and students. The benefit of this research is to provide learning media that supports the teaching and learning process and improves students' skills. This research suggestion is for future researchers to look for other calibrators that can record data automatically to facilitate instrument calibration and conduct further research on the effect of air (environment) on a sound.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan sosialisasi tentang Arduino serta memberikan pelatihan dasar-dasar otomatisasi berbasis Arduino pada murid fase E kelas X SMAN Tawangmangu Karanganyar. Arduino merupakan platform elektronik berbasis open-source yang mencakup perangkat keras berupa papan mikrokontroler dan perangkat lunak Arduino IDE, sehingga memudahkan pembuatan prototipe elektronik bagi pemula. Tahapan pelaksanaan pengabdian masyarakat ini meliputi 1. Uji coba peralatan yang akan digunakan untuk pelatihan Arduino. 2. Koordinasi tim pelaksana pengabdian dengan pihak sekolah, satu minggu sebelum berangkat ke lokasi. 3. Pelaksanaan pengabdian di SMAN Tawangmangu. Untuk evaluasi pelaksanaan pengabdian masyarakat yang berupa sosialisasi dan pelatihan Arduino pada murid, digunakan instrumen angket 10 pertanyaan dengan skala Likert 5 poin. Hasil penilaian angket oleh 30 murid fase E kelas X SMAN Tawangmangu menggunakan katagori penilaian Azwar, S. (2012), menunjukkan bahwa 47% murid menyatakan minat yang tinggi dan 53% murid menyatakan minat yang sangat tinggi terhadap sosialisasi serta pelatihan dasar-dasar otomatisasi arduino. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan otomasi berbasis Arduino diterima dengan baik oleh murid dan dapat menjadi alternatif inovatif dalam pembelajaran tentang teknologi otomatisasi berbasis Arduino.

Abstract

Silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) have strong potential as antibacterial agents, with effectiveness highly influenced by particle-size stability. This study synthesized AgNPs via a green sol-gel method using noni (Morinda citrifolia) leaf extract as a natural reducing agent and polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) as a capping agent. PVP concentrations of 0.5, 1.0, and 1.5 g were mixed with 25 mL noni extract and 25 mL double-distilled water. Characterization using UV–vis, XRD, FE-SEM/EDX, and FTIR showed decreasing UV–vis absorption peaks of 433, 412, 368 nm with increasing PVP content. XRD confirmed a face-centered cubic (FCC) crystal structure with >80% similarity to standard Ag patterns. FE-SEM/EDX indicated the presence of Ag, C, and O elements, and particle sizes remained stable at 16.8, 18.8, and 18.4 nm. The 0.5 g PVP sample produced the smallest particles and showed dominant O–H and C–H functional groups. It exhibited the strongest antibacterial activity, with inhibition zones of 12.5 mm (E. coli) and 12.0 mm (S. aureus). These results demonstrate that eco-friendly sol-gel-synthesized AgNPs using noni leaf extract and PVP exhibit promising antibacterial activity, positioning them as potential candidates for further development as antibacterial materials.

Abstract

Installation of an Ozone Generator Machine to Improve the Quality of Organic Vegetables in Gedangan Village - Boyolali. The Utomo Jayan Farmers Group is an organic vegetable farmer group in Gedangan Village, Cepogo District, Boyolali Regency which has a major problem: the quality of vegetables. The vegetables produced by the group are quickly damaged, and many are returned by partners (buyers) due to needing to meet quality. The main purpose of this service activity is to assist in adopting post-harvest technology as an ozone generator to improve the quality of vegetables. Ozone technology can increase the shelf life of vegetables, prevent vegetables from spoiling quickly, reduce pesticide residues and harmful chemicals in the vegetables. The method of community service was conducted by socialization and active participation by involving all members of the farmer group. The results of this service activity were able to increase the shelf life of fresher vegetables within 20 days (red chilies), 14 days (tomatoes), 7 days (scallions), celery (9 days), and broccoli (5 days).
