Abstract

The role of education in higher education is very important to prepare students to become individuals who have the ability to be able to develop themselves further. Based on the results of a field survey, data on students who continue their tertiary education in Langkaplancar Village are still lacking, and their motivation to continue on to tertiary education is still low. The reality is that currently in Langkaplancar Village there are many high school graduates/equivalents who decide not to continue their education at tertiary institutions, some choose to work or even become unemployed, due to economic factors and lack of motivation. One of the efforts made to solve this problem is holding an Education Motivation Training Seminar. The purpose of this activity is to increase student motivation to continue their studies at tertiary institutions and to raise awareness of all parties, especially parents, in providing support for children to continue on to tertiary institutions. The results of this community service activity are (1) Socialization and coordination with related elements (2) Implementation of activities and (3) Responses of the Village Government, School Principals, Teachers and Parents to activities.

Abstract

This study purpose was to analyze the different time administration of cherry leaf teabag (Muntingia calabura L.) to broiler immunity.  This study used 2 treatment groups. The first group (T1) was given cherry leaf teabag (Muntingia calabura L.) every day in drinking water (T1), and the second group (T2) was given cherry leaf teabag (Muntingia calabura L.) every two days. The dosage of cherry leaf used in this study 420 mg/kg BW. Paired samples t-test was used to compare the results of the two treatment groups. To determine the effect of different time administration of cherry leaf teabag on the broiler immunity, the parameter observed was the antibody titer in response to Newcastle Disease vaccination, another parameter observed is the weight percentage of the lymphoid organs (Bursa of Fabricius and Spleen) to find out that the herbs with immunostimulatory activity do not cause lymphoid organs to work excessively does not cause the lymphoid organs to work excessively. Based on the results of this study, it was concluded that giving Cherry leaf teabag (Muntingia calabura L) every two days had almost the same effect in increasing broiler immunity as giving every day, and giving Cherry leaf teabag (Muntingia calabura L) every day also does not have a negative effect on the lymphoid organs which are responsible for immunity

Abstract

Candipuro District is an agricultural and plantation area, apart from that the people also raise beef cattle. Beef cattle are used as a source of meat and as a source of fertilizer for agriculture in the area. There are still some farmers in Candipuro District who raise beef cattle using the traditional method, where the cattle are still kept behind the farmer's house and are given forage in the form of grass. Providing forage in the form of grass can have an impact on livestock health, especially on exposure to gastrointestinal parasites. Gastrointestinal parasite infections are a common problem in cases of gastroenteritis in livestock throughout the world. This can have quite a broad impact, especially on the health of the veterinary community and the health of the livestock itself throughout the world, especially in developing countries. This research was carried out using sample testing using the sedimentation method and also McMaster. Data obtained from the results of testing 193 fecal samples in 14 villages in Candipuro District using the floating and EPG methods, the results obtained are as in table 1. The incidence rate of Trematode parasite infection in Candipuro District is 46.56%. Of the 14 villages, there was a 0% incidence rate of trematode worm cases in Banyumas Village. And then the highest prevalence was in Karya Mulya Sari village at 13.97%. The conclusion of this research is the incidence of Trematode parasite infection in Candipuro District. Of the 193 samples examined, 76 samples were positively infected with Trematode parasites with the species Fasciola sp. and Paramphistomum sp.

Abstract

Yogurt is a widely consumed fermented milk product known for its numerous health benefits, while corn silk, the pistil of corn, is a byproduct rich in bioactive compounds and antioxidants. This study assessed the antioxidant activity of yogurt fortified with corn silk extract. Yogurt was prepared by fermenting cow's milk with a yogurt starter culture. The antioxidant activity of the resulting yogurt was evaluated using the DPPH method. The results demonstrated that the yogurt enriched with corn silk exhibited a total lactic acid bacteria (LAB) count of 1.2 × 108 cfu/mL, a pH of 4.4, a lactic acid content of 1.34%, and an antioxidant activity of 54%. In contrast, the control yogurt without corn silk had a LAB count of 1.9 × 10⁷ cfu/mL, a pH of 4.5, a lactic acid content of 0.93%, and an antioxidant activity of 47%. Organoleptic evaluations revealed no significant differences in taste, aroma, texture, or overall acceptability between the two yogurt types. The addition of corn silk significantly increased the antioxidant activity, total microbial count, and lactic acid content of the yogurt. These findings suggest that corn silk extract can be a beneficial natural additive to enhance the antioxidant properties of yogurt, thereby improving its nutritional value.
