Abstract

Posttraumatic Growth (PTG) has long been viewed as an individual psychological process shaped by cognitive and emotional struggle after trauma. However, recent scholarship highlights the importance of social, communal, and cultural factors that remain underrepresented in earlier reviews. This study follows a narrative review methodology with purposive sampling that synthesizes peer-reviewed studies published between 2020 and 2025 to examine how PTG theory has expanded beyond individual transformation. A structured search across major databases resulted in 20 studies meeting purposive inclusion criteria. Findings reveal two converging trends: the persistence of individual-centric PTG models and the growing recognition of collective and cultural pathways, such as social support, shared rituals, and culturally grounded meaning-making. Integrating these strands, this review proposes a multilayered ecological model positioning individual, relational, collective, and cultural dimensions of PTG. The review underscores the need for culturally sensitive PTG frameworks and community-based interventions, offering a more inclusive theoretical foundation for understanding trauma recovery.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara anonimitas dan online disinhibition effect (ODE) pada mahasiswa Program Studi S-1 Keperawatan STIKes Muhammadiyah Lhokseumawe. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan metode korelasional. Populasi penelitian berjumlah 343 mahasiswa aktif tahun ajaran 2025/2026, dengan sampel sebanyak 123 responden yang dipilih melalui teknik purposive sampling. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan Skala Anonimitas (21 aitem, a = 0,901) dan Skala Online Disinhibition Effect (26 aitem, a = 0,884). Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji korelasi Pearson Product Moment dengan bantuan program SPSS 25.0. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas mahasiswa memiliki tingkat anonimitas pada kategori sedang (60,2%) dan tingkat ODE pada kategori sedang (90,2%). Hasil uji hipotesis menunjukkan nilai korelasi sebesar 0,025 dengan signifikansi 0,690 (p > 0,05), sehingga hipotesis penelitian ditolak. Hal ini membuktikan bahwa tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara anonimitas dengan online disinhibition effect. Penolakan hipotesis ini mengindikasikan bahwa pada kelompok usia dewasa awal, perilaku disinhibisi daring lebih dipengaruhi oleh dinamika psikososial dan kebutuhan akan eksistensi identitas dibandingkan faktor anonimitas. Penelitian ini menyarankan pentingnya penguatan etika digital bagi mahasiswa keperawatan sebagai bagian dari identitas profesional mereka.

Abstract

The rise of digital technology has coincided with growing concerns about a decline in adolescents’ prosocial behavior. This study investigates how parental social support and the use of online media contribute to prosocial tendencies among adolescents in Aceh, Indonesia. A total of 415 students from 12 public and Islamic secondary schools participated in the research, selected through a stratified non-proportional sampling method. Data were collected using three standardized instruments: The Perceived Parental Support Scale, an online media use questionnaire, and the Prosocial Tendencies Measure-Revised. Analyses using multiple regression and t-tests revealed that parental support and online media use significantly predicted adolescents’ prosocial behavior. Together with demographic variables, these factors accounted for 52.9% of the variance in prosocial tendencies (R2 = .529, p < .001). While female students reported higher levels of parental support and media use, male students demonstrated slightly higher levels of prosocial behavior. These results underscore the importance of parental involvement and constructive digital engagement in shaping adolescent morality. The findings call for increased efforts to strengthen family support systems and promote mindful media use to foster positive youth development in the digital era.
