Abstract

Today is online learning in Indonesia is a new thing in the world of education. The obstacle that often occurs is that educators have difficulty in determining the media that can be used according to online learning. Another problem is the lack of parental assistance. Therefore, the researchers provided assistance to parents in elementary school online learning by using learning media. The strategies and methods used by researchers are online and offline. The results of the mentoring process obtained from the use of learning media are learning interest, increased student motivation. However, this is not a solution to the problem of ineffective online learning. The implementation of parental assistance in using learning media for elementary school students in Loa Buah sub-district contains many factors, both in terms of supporting and inhibiting factors. Supporting factors are motivation, high interest and talent of students, family support, community and school. While the inhibiting factors are the lack of facilities or infrastructure used for online and offline learning, the lack of an internet network, not being able to buy quotas, the lack of student discipline during face-to-face mentoring, lack of discipline in using masks, and others.

Abstract

Pengabdian Masyarakat ini bersifat Penyuluhan dan edukasi di salah satu Sekolah Dasar di Samarinda. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan untuk penyuluhan pentingnya menabung sedari dini sebagai pendorong motivasi belajar peserta didik serta memahamkan pada peserta didik jenis-jenis mata uang. Ada banyak cara yang dapat dilakukan untuk menabung misalnya menyisihkan uang saku untuk ditabung, membatasi jajan supaya uang jajan dapat ditabung, membeli kebutuhan yang diperlukan, dan lain-lain. Meskipun demikian perilaku menabung susah diterapkan apabila tidak diajarkan sejak dini agar kelak ketika dewasa mudah untuk menerapkannya dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Budaya menabung adalah salah satu kebiasaan untuk mempersiapkan diri dalam pelaksanaan perencanaan masa yang akan datang sekaligus untuk menghadapi hal-hal yang tidak diinginkan. Jadi kegiatan ini dilakukan untuk menanamkan perilaku menabung harus diajarkan ke anak sejak dini agar anak terbiasa mengelola keuangan pribadi, dapat memenuhi kebutuhan di masa yang akan datang, hidup hemat dan tidak boros, menghargai uang, memiliki perencanaan keuangan, dan membuat bangga orang tua. Oleh sebab itu, perilaku menabung memiliki peranan yang penting bagi peserta didik karena dapat mengatur keuangan peserta didik, menumbuhkan semangat peserta didik untuk menabung, dan peserta didik merasa senang. Abstract

The purpose of this community service activity was to enhance participants’ understanding of embroidery techniques and to develop elementary school students’ skills in producing embroidered products, particularly those applying the sulam tumpar technique. The activity was implemented using a workshop method that consisted of two main components, namely the delivery of material on embroidery techniques and hands-on practice in creating embroidered products. The implementation process involved several stages, including coordination with the partner institution, SDN 004 Samarinda Utara, preparation of the necessary tools and materials, and the execution of the workshop. The participants were fourth-grade students of SDN 004 Samarinda Utara. The sulam tumpar creative training was carried out as planned, as evidenced by the high level of student enthusiasm throughout the activity from beginning to end during the process of making sulam tumpar wall decorations. Furthermore, the activity received positive responses from the school community, including the principal and teachers.
