Abstract

Keamanan dan keselamatan masyarakat desa sering terancam oleh kondisi darurat seperti bencana alam, kebakaran, tindak kriminal, maupun keadaan medis yang membutuhkan respons cepat. Keterbatasan akses komunikasi menjadi salah satu kendala dalam penyampaian informasi darurat secara efektif. Penelitian ini bertujuan merancang dan membangun sistem Panic Button berbasis Internet of Things (IoT) untuk membantu warga desa dalam melaporkan keadaan darurat dengan cepat dan efisien. Sistem dikembangkan menggunakan mikrokontroler ESP32, sensor suhu DS18B20, DFPlayer Mini sebagai media peringatan suara, serta aplikasi berbasis web untuk pengiriman notifikasi darurat. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen dengan pendekatan kuantitatif melalui pengujian fungsionalitas perangkat keras dan perangkat lunak, pengukuran waktu respons, keandalan sistem, serta observasi kemudahan penggunaan oleh warga. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa sistem mampu merespons laporan darurat dalam waktu rata-rata 1–2 detik pada jaringan WiFi desa dan 3–8 detik pada jaringan seluler. Tingkat keberhasilan pengiriman notifikasi hingga 100%. Selain itu, warga dapat menggunakan aplikasi dengan mudah tanpa pelatihan khusus dan memahami notifikasi darurat yang ditampilkan. Dengan demikian, sistem Panic Button berbasis IoT ini terbukti dapat meningkatkan keamanan dan mempercepat komunikasi dalam kondisi darurat di lingkungan desa.

Abstract

Transversal skills are increasingly regarded as core competencies in education because they support learners’ critical thinking, collaboration, communication, creativity, problem-solving, and adaptability. However, the dispersion of research on transversal skills across various terms, contexts, and approaches necessitates a more focused synthesis. This study aims to analyse publication trends, major themes, educational contexts, research approaches, and gaps in studies on transversal skills. The study employed a systematic literature review, with reporting guided by PRISMA 2020. The search was conducted in Scopus and was limited to English-language, open-access journal articles published between 2021 and 2026. Out of the 117 records found, 16 articles met the requirements for inclusion. The review findings show that there were more publications between 2021 and 2025. The most common topics were conceptual refinement, perception-based measurement, active and collaborative pedagogy, open schooling, and the use of technology, STEM, the arts, and AI. The synthesis also shows that transversal skills are more frequently developed through authentic, collaborative, and project-based learning, although the field is still characterised by the dominance of cross-sectional designs, self-report measures, and limited use of authentic assessment. This review emphasises the need to strengthen operational definitions, expand the vocational high school/TVET context, and develop longitudinal evidence to enhance the relevance and sustainability of transversal skills development in education.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the differences in the results of Basic Electronic Engineering (DTE) learning between students who use the inquiry learning model and X TEI class direct instruction at SMKN 1 Nglegok Blitar. Next, analyze the improvement in DTE learning outcomes using the Inquiry learning model, then analyze the improvement in DTE learning outcomes using the X TEI class direct instruction learning model at SMKN 1 Nglegok Blitar. This study used an experimental method with a quasi experimental design. Experimental class using Inquiry learning model with a sample of 35 students and control class with Direct Instruction learning model with a sample of 36 students. Data collection instruments include pretest and posttest for measuring cognitive, attitude observation sheets for measuring affective, and skill observation sheets for measuring psychomotorical learning outcomes. Data analysis techniques include normality test, homogeneity test, t-test (independent sample-test), and N-Gain test with the aid of version 25 SPSS software.The research results show that there are differences in DTE learning outcomes in both classes. The average posttest grade of the experimental class was 87.37, and the posttest grade of the control class was 76.53. The results of the independent sample-t test showed a significant difference in the knowledge aspect (sig < 0.05). Experimental class DTE learning results obtained pretes (68.23) and posts (87.37). An N-Gain value of 0.5892 (medium) was thus obtained. The DTE learning results for the control class were obtained pretest (67.22) and posts (76.53), and the N-Gain was obtained by 0.2658 (low). In the attitude aspect, the average observation score of the experimental class was 84, higher than the control class of 79. Similarly, in terms of skill, the average grade of experiment class is 88 and the control class is 75. Thus, it can be concluded that the use of Inquiry learning models is more effective than Direct Instruction to improve the learning outcomes of DTE of students.

Abstract

This study investigates the effectiveness of PhET simulation in improving learning motivation and problem-solving skills in the context of electrical circuit materials in the Electrical Power Installation Engineering (TITL) expertise program at SMK Negeri 7 Surabaya. In this study, a quantitative paradigm is adopted and uses a one-class pre-experimental research design. Data collection was carried out using two assessment instruments. Students' motivation towards learning was measured through questionnaires based on self-determination theory (SDT). Meanwhile, problem-solving competencies are evaluated through tests developed according to Polya's four-stage problem-solving model. Before performing hypothesis testing, the normality of the data is checked to determine the suitability of statistical procedures. Then the T test of paired samples was applied to analyze changes in learning motivation, while differences in problem-solving performance were assessed using the wilcoxon test through SPSS. The implementation of the PhET simulation after being analyzed had a significant effect on the increase in student learning motivation, this was shown by the results of the paired sample t-test resulting in a value of 0.000 which was smaller than the standard significance of 0.05. Similar findings were also obtained for problem-solving competencies. The results of the wilcoxon test obtained a value of 0.000 which is also smaller than the standard value of 0.05. This confirms that there are significant differences before and after the intervention to students. These findings suggest that learning with the help of PhET simulation media is effective in increasing students' learning motivation and problem-solving competencies

Abstract

Abstract Technological developments are undergoing an increasingly rapid transformation. Revolution 4.0 which is oriented towards digitalization and IoT technology is increasingly entering the order of human life, even in all aspects of national life. Of course, the educational field needs to be able to strike a balance between the advancement of technology and the process of learning. One way is to take advantage of the existence of technology as a means of improving the quality of learning. Up until now, a lot of instructional resources and learning media have been created through cooperation with cutting-edge technology. One technology that can be implemented is augmented reality. In response to this, this research focuses on developing a car audio system learning module integrated with augmented reality in vocational education. Teachers and XII students at SMK YKP Magetan served as the study's subjects. Data were gathered using test, questionnaire, and observation techniques. 95.33% was the module validity level, according to the results. According to the study's findings, 87.67% of teachers' and students' replies to the module demonstrated practicality, which is why it was included in the very practical qualification. The effectiveness aspect showed a significant difference between the pretest and posttest results of 35 students. The results of the research show that the effectiveness of the module is 64.58%. Particularly when it comes to car audio system content, the integrated augmented reality learning module for car audio systems has a high degree of viability that makes it suitable for use in vocational education.

Abstract

Kegiatan ini muncul sebagai respons terhadap kebutuhan mendesak untuk meningkatkan kualitas Sumber Daya Manusia (SDM) di SMK Negeri 1 Bojonegoro, khususnya para guru. Latar belakang mencakup kondisi pendidikan, perkembangan kurikulum, dan tuntutan profesionalisme yang semakin tinggi. Guru-guru di SMK Negeri 1 Bojonegoro mungkin memiliki keterbatasan dalam penulisan karya ilmiah, sehingga kurang mampu menyumbangkan pemikiran dan inovasi dalam ranah akademis. Kurangnya karya ilmiah dari guru-guru dapat menjadi kendala dalam meningkatkan profil sekolah, serta kurangnya dukungan dalam meraih prestasi dan pengakuan di tingkat lokal atau nasional. Tujuan dilakukan pelatihan ini adalah sebagai berikut: 1) Meningkatkan kompetensi guru dalam penulisan karya ilmiah. Tujuan utama adalah meningkatkan kemampuan guru dalam menulis karya ilmiah agar dapat berkontribusi pada peningkatan mutu pendidikan di SMK Negeri 1 Bojonegoro. 2) Mendorong Keterlibatan Guru dalam Kegiatan Penelitian: Memberikan dorongan agar guru-guru aktif terlibat dalam kegiatan penelitian yang dapat mendukung pengembangan kurikulum dan pembelajaran di sekolah. Manfaat dari pelatihan ini adalah: 1) Peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran. Guru yang terampil dalam penulisan karya ilmiah dapat membawa ide-ide inovatif ke dalam kelas, meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran. 2) Peningkatan profil sekolah. Karya ilmiah yang dihasilkan dapat menjadi bukti kontribusi positif sekolah pada pengembangan pendidikan, meningkatkan citra dan profil sekolah. 3) Peningkatan kredibilitas guru. Guru yang mampu menulis karya ilmiah akan mendapatkan pengakuan dan kredibilitas yang lebih tinggi dari masyarakat pendidikan dan industri.

Abstract

The utilization of information technology in vocational education still faces persistent challenges, namely the dominance of lecture methods and conventional presentation media that inadequately support students' understanding of abstract technical installation materials, particularly in the Electrical Power Installation element at SMK Negeri 7 Surabaya. This study aimed to develop an interactive learning medium based on Google Sites and to examine its validity, practicality, and effectiveness on student learning outcomes. The study employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation), involving 37 eleventh-grade students majoring in Electrical Power Installation Engineering as the trial subjects. Data were collected through media and material expert validation sheets, student response questionnaires, and learning outcome tests (pre-test and post-test), then analyzed using Aiken's V index, practicality percentage, and the N-gain test. The results showed media and material validity scores of 0.85 and 0.87 respectively (average 0.86, high category), a practicality level of 89.92% (very practical category), and an improvement in learning outcomes from an average pre-test score of 62 to 88.19 in the post-test, with an N-gain score of 0.7488 (74.88%, high category). The Google Sites-based learning medium was proven valid, practical, and effective for use in electrical power installation instruction at the vocational school level.

Abstract

Perkembangan dalam teknologi pada otomasi telah mendorong penerapannya dalam berbagai sektor industri, termasuk indutri pangan. Telur ayam merupakan salah satu komoditas pangan yang yang banyak dikonsumsi oleh masyarakat. Proses penyortiran warna kerabang telur pada umumnya masih dilakukan secara manual, yang berpotensi menimbulkan kesalahan dalam klasifikasi dan rendahnya efisiensi dalam operasional. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan sistem deteksi warna kerabang telur dengan algoritma YOLOv8n dengan mikrokontroler ESP32. Sistem dirancang untuk mengidentifikasi warna kerabang telur secara real-time dan mengotomatisasi proses pemisahan menggunakan mekanisme konveyor. Hasil pada pengujian menunjukkan bawah kecepatan sistem mampu mendeteksi kerabang telur secara akurat serta melakukan pemisahan secara otomatis. Selain itu, sistem terintegrasi dengan aplikasi Blynk untuk melakukan pemantauan dan pencatatan jumlah pada telur yang sudah di sortir. Namun demikian, peningkatan kecepatan pada konveyor dapat mempengaruhi kinerja sistem, yang ditujukkan oleh penurunan pada akurasi deteksi yang menyebabkan kesalahan deteksi dan munculnya telur yang tidak teridentifikasi. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan optimasi pada sinkronisasi kecepatan konveyor dan model deteksi untuk meningkatkan kinerja pada sistem secara keseluruhan.

Abstract

This study aimed to enhance students’ critical thinking skills and mathematics learning outcomes on the topic of relations and functions through the implementation of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model. Conducted as a Classroom Action Research (CAR) at SMKN 6 Surabaya, the study involved 40 students of class X ULP 2 and was carried out over three months in two cycles. Data were collected using tests, observations, and questionnaires. The results showed a significant improvement in cognitive learning outcomes. The average score in the basic cognitive domain (C1–C3) increased from 73.71 in the first cycle to 75.9 in the second cycle. The lowest score rose from 37.5 to 54.2, and the number of students who achieved completion increased from 22 to 34. In the complex cognitive domain (C4–C6) that showed critical thinking skills, the average increased from 40.09 to 61.4. The highest score rose from 70.83 to 91.7, and there were no more students in the low-scoring category. These findings suggest that the PBL approach, when supported by structured assignments and exercises, can effectively foster critical thinking and improve mathematics achievement in vocational high school setting.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kurang maksimalnya sistem presensi secara manual yang berpengaruh pada kedisipilinan kehadiran siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan menghasilkan Sistem Presensi Siswa Berbasis RFID dan WhatsApp yang valid, praktis, dan efektif sebagai upaya meningkatkan kedisiplinan siswa kelas XI TITL di SMK NU Gresik. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) dengan model pengembangan 4D (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate). Pengujian produk dilakukan melalui uji validitas, uji kepraktisan, dan uji keefektifan. Instrumen pengumpulan data yang digunakan berupa lembar validasi, lembar angket respon, dan indikator presensi siswa. Data yang didapatkan dianalisis menggunakan analisis deskriptif. Hasil uji validitas memperoleh skor 90% yang termasuk kategori sangat valid dan layak digunakan. Selanjutnya, hasil uji kepraktisan memperoleh nilai sebesar 88% yang termasuk dalam kategori sangat praktis hal ini menunjukkan bahwa sistem presensi mudah digunakan dalam proses presensi siswa. Uji keefektifan dilakukan menggunakan perbandingan persentase rata-rata kehadiran sebelum dan sesudah siswa menggunakan sistem presensi berbasis RFID dan WhatsApp yang menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kedisiplinan siswa setelah penggunaan sistem. Hal ini ditunjukkan dengan peningkatan persentase rata-rata kehadiran pada indikator hadir tepat waktu sesuai jadwal sebesar 13%, penurunan persentase pada indikator hadir namun melewati batas waktu yang ditentukan sebesar 10%, penurunan persentase pada indikator ketidakhadiran dengan keterangan yang sah sebesar 2%, dan penurunan penurunan persentase pada indikator ketidakhadiran tanpa keterangan sebesar 1% sehingga dinyatakan efektif. Hasil penelitian tersebut menunjukkan bahwa Sistem Presensi Siswa Berbasis RFID dan WhatsApp yang dikembangkan dinyatakan valid, praktis, dan efektif sehingga layak digunakan sebagai media presensi di sekolah serta dapat membantu meningkatkan kedisiplinan siswa.
